Hi guys welcome to another crossover. Yes, I know this is a standard for me but what can I do? I love crossovers. So, I was thinking of a good Avatar crossover and I decided to go with Hunter x Hunter since there few of those. I also decided to add Knuckles and Shoot into the story. Why them you ask. Because they are great characters and I think they don't get that much of attention. This would be fun to do, and I will be splitting off in the books of Avatar. I end up re watching the series and is still holds up amazing, Legend of Korra not so much and The Last Airbender is a guilty pleasure of mine, its on the so bad is good. Here is some notes, this takes place in the middle of the Chimera Ant arc. Gon still can't use nen because of his fight with Knuckles, Killua hasn't meet Ikalgo yet, Palm had her date with Gon and Kite corpse was shown. Ok everything good, let's start.

It's already been half a month since Gon and Killua fought Knuckle and Shoot, which meant that Gon was still stuck with Knuckles I.R.S, Killua could still see it because of his nen and Gon couldn't use nen yet. Despite being nenless for a good half month the green hair boy was trying everything to stay on shape for the invasion of the palace. Everything was looking good until Gon saw Kite corpse a few days back, that gave the boys some mental scars for life and made Killua worry for Gon even more. He didn't wanted Gon to be in such a horrible state so he would make sure that until the invasion was a success he would do everything to make sure Gon was ok.

At the moment the two were doing their early workout at the local gym in the town that them and the rest of the extermination team were. Nothing was up from them, in fact the only thing of action that either of the two had was when Killua tried to save Gon from Palm, despite that the two were trying to get in shape for the big invasion against the Chimera ants. However, Killua could sense something wrong with Gon.

''Hey Gon are you ok?'' Asked Killua

''I´m doing fine Killua.'' Said him

''Are you sure?"' Asked the boy worried.

''Yes, don't worry. '' Said Gon with a smile

Killua didn't buy that. Even if Gon smile was like always, it didn't have the bright that it usually has.

''Ok, but if anything, tell me.'' Said Killua.

''Sure, I know that I can count on you.'' Said Gon

''Wanna grab something to eat?" Asked Killua

''Yeah, I'm starving'' Said Gon.

The two went to a café nearby and eat a lot.

''Man, that hit the spot real good.'' Said Killua

''You ate all the cakes that were sent to us.'' Said Gon all angry.

''What can I say? I love some sweets, but don't worry I will pay you.'' Said Killau with a smirk.

''that's not the issue Killua.'' Said Gon.

''Sure.'' Said Killua with a devil smile.

Gon only smile at that. Having a nice talk with Killua is always good, but every so often he gets back to a very sad stage. He had that feeling again just now.

''How many days have passed since our fight with Knuckle and Shoot?" Asked Gon.

Killua could now see that Gon was still worried about being unable to use nen and that was consuming him inside.

''We fought them two weeks ago.'' Said Killua

''Ok, we still have two weeks left.'' Said Gon

''Until that we try to warm up.'' Said Killua.

''Sure, sorry for that. Wanna grab a movie tonight?'' Asked Gon

''Let's do that. It's been a while.'' Said Killua.

Gon and Killua pay their bill and walked toward the streets in direction to the movie theater. In the way there they do some talk.

''So, any news on chairman Netero?" Asked Killua

''No, I guess he must still be training.'' Said Gon

''Good, if he is the one to fight the king than he must be the one in full power.'' Said Killua

''I wonder how the others are doing. Also, I haven't seen Palm-sama in a while. I wonder what she wanted to show me at the end of our date.'' Said Gon curious.

''Trust me, you don't wanna know.'' Said Killua. He didn't wanna imagine what a sick person like Palm would do with Gon alone in the bedroom.

''But I wonder….'' Said Gon.

''You really don't wanna go there Gon!'' Scream Killua.

''Fine.'' Said Gon.

Killua laugh at that but still felt that something was off. He didn't know what, but he felt like Gon smile was just a mask.

''Are you really ok?' Asked Killua

''Yes, killua I am.'' Said Gon with a smile.

The Zoldyck didn't buy that, he wasn't the best when it comes to psychology, but he seen many messed up people to tell that there is something wrong.

''There is something that he isn't telling me.'' Thought Killua.

''don't get to worry about me. I am fine, just a little tense because of our mission.'' Said Gon.

''Ok, but if anything…'' Said Killua

''Alright tell you.'' Said Gon.

Killua then look at Gon straight in the eye and say the following words very serious.

''We will get Kite back. I promise Gon.'' Said Killua.

Gon only looks surprise at that and answer with:

''I know we will.'' Said Gon

The two laughs as they continue to walk towards the movie theater.

''Please be ok.'' Thought Killua worried

At night

Gon and Killua walked out of the theater as they were done with their movie.

''Well, that movie sucked.'' Said Killua.

''Yes, it was very unrealistic.'' Said Gon.

''So, what we do know?'' Asked Killua

''I don't know do you have any ideas.'' Said Gon

''How about grab a pizza?'' Asked Killua

''Really! That would be great, although we are splitting one this time.'' Said Gon making Killua angry.

''Oh come. Ok, but we will decide the flavors together.'' Said Killua

''Sure.'' Said Gon

While the two were going to the pizza restaurant, observing nearby was the other Hunter duo Knuckles Bine and Shoot McMahon were observing the two younger hunters going off.

''They are leaving the theater.'' Said Shoot looking through a binocular.

''Yes, I can see that.'' Said Knuckles

''So right now, they are going for pizza. In a weekday.'' Said Shoot.

''I guess putting too much fat in their body is something they like.'' Said Knuckles.

''Give a break Knuckles. They are still kids.'' Said Shoot

''They are hunters. When we were this age, we were eating to sustain our body and not to relax.'' Said Knuckles

Shoot only sigh at that. Knuckles was always someone that come across the best points.

''I guess you have a point. Again.'' Said Shoot.

''Of course. A good diet is based on a collection of balanced nutrients and strong minerals. If you eat too much carbs you end up as some of the fattest Gourmet Hunters.'' Said Knuckles.

''What are you now? A nutritionist?'' Thought Shoot with a sweat drop.

Soon Knuckles phone started to ring.

Buzz Buzz.

''it's the boss.'' Said Knuckles.

''Better answer it.'' Said Shoot.

Knuckles then pressed the button and started speaking with Morel.

''Mister Morel.'' Said Knuckles.

''Hey boy, are you and Shoot in position? Did those two did something out of the contract?" Asked Morel

''They just goof off today. Went to the theater and are now having pizza.'' Said Knuckles.

''Good, keep an eye on them.'' Said Morel

''Sure.'' Said Knuckles.

''How is the I.R.S.?' Asked Morel.

''Is still activated on Gon. I feel that he is trying to gather as much aura once the 30 days are up.'' Said the buff hunter.

''Good, now you two keep doing the watch until it's over.'' Said Morel.

''I believe that Palm can also do that? Why me and Shoot have bigger things to do.'' Said Knuckles.

''She is being assigned to a special mission. So don't count on her for that.'' Said Morel

''Ok, so what now?'' Asked Knuckles.

''Me and Knov are going to prepare route for the palace invasion.''

''And the Chairman?'' Asked Knuckles.

''Still meditating and gathering energy.''

''Ok, so we will keep with our watch on those twos.'' Said Knuckles

''Be careful. You know that they are very skilled kids and they managed to lure you boys before. Just be careful out there Knuckle.'' Said Morel

''OK, me and Shoot are signing out.'' Said Knuckles.

Soon Knuckles ends the call and look at his partner to know what do to next.

''Let's grab some dinner.'' Said Knuckles.

Shoot smile at that as the two went off.

With Gon and Killua.

After finishing their pizza, the two boys seemed to be pretty fine.

''Wanna go on the arcade after here? Is still not that late.'' Asked Killua.

Gon however didn't answer, instead he looked pretty down.

''Hey gon What is wrong?'' Asked Killua.

''Killua can we go somewhere?'' Asked Gon.

''Where?'' Asked Killua.

''To the park.'' Said Gon.

Killua didn't know what was wrong with Gon, but if was for his sake he would do that.

''ok.'' Said Killua.

The two pay their bill and soon went to the same spot that they faced Knuckles and shoot, speaking of those two upon finishing their meal they follow the duo.

At the Park

Gon and Killua were in the same spot where Gon faced Knuckles for the first time. At first, he was pretty confident but after losing he felt pretty miserable, especially now with the whole Kite situation.

Behind them Knuckles and Shoot were observing their movements.

''Why are they here?'' Askes Knuckles.

''Maybe they are going to train or something.'' Said Shoot.

Knuckles however soon got an idea of what was the real deal.

''No I get it what is he doing.'' Said Knuckles.

''What is it?" Asked Shoot

''He is gonna to keep reliving that day on his head. This is self-torture.'' Said Knuckles all piss.

''Oh my…'' Sais Shoot in shock

''What is wrong with him!?'' Asked Knuckles.

While the two hunters kept looking at the young ones, Gon and Killua had a minute of talk.

''Gon…'' Said Killua but Gon cuts him.

''Killua…am I a good person?'' Asked Gon

Killua was confused by that question.

''What?' Asked Gon

''I said it ´´Am I a good person? ´´'' Asked Gon.

Killua didn't know why he was asking that.

''of course, you are. More good than you is impossible.'' Said Killua.

''Then…why didn't I managed to save Kite?" Asked Gon all sad.

Killua was now frozen by that. He could now sense all the sadness inside of Gon.

''Why? Why couldn't I save him?'' Asked Gon all sd.

''Gon, listen we didn't have other choice.'' Said Killua.

''But…'' Asked Gon in tears.

''We would have been slaughter by Pitou. Kite sacrificed himself to save us.'' Said Killua.

Gon was still pretty sad and Killua wasn't helping because he had no idea of what to do.

''But Kite couldn't even defeat Pitou, what chance do we have?" Asked Gon

Killua didn't know what to say so he decided to be very careful with his words.

''Look, Kite did what he could but let's not worry about that know. Come on Gon, you know that we faced deadly people before like Hisoka and The Phantom Troupe. We can make out of this.'' Said Killua.

''But we never face something like her before.'' Said Gon all serious.

Those statement were making Killua all tense. He felt hopeless because he couldn't help Gon, so he did what he could to make him feel a little better.

''Hey listen, I know you are sad but we can handle our mission.'' Said Killua.

''How! Pitou is stronger than us.'' Said Gon.

''We will get Pitou ok! In fact, I let you fight her first.'' Said Killua.

''No, I can't face her when I´m this week.'' Said Gon

''You will get your nen back. Just be patience.'' Said Killua

''No, is not about the nen. Is about my actions, if I am really up to do this quest. Do you think I have what it takes Killua?'' Asked Gon.

Killua was now all frozen in place. Now he was feeling like he got his back against a wall as his best friend was all sad.

''Dammit at this time I wish Leorio and Kurapika were with me. They know how to do this kind of stuff.'' Thought Killua all serious.

Gon kept looking sad at the sky as he wonders what is awaiting them at the palace. Probably thousands of hungry ants waiting for them and after they killed at least a thousand its when they have to face Pitou.

''I don't know if I am going to do it.'' Said Gon.

''Huh?" Asked Killua in shock.

''When I first heard that GIng was alive was all thanks to Kite and he show me what a hunter is capable of. I never meet Ging, so I inspired my hunter style after Kite, and I wonder if I was ever going to become a powerful Hunter like him someday.'' Said Gon.

''But you are a hunter. You passed on your first try.'' Said Killua.

''I only been a hunter for a year and so far, I have accomplished little. Hunters like Kite have done ten times what I ever imagined and look at me I can't even find Ging.'' Said Gon all sad.

''don't you dare say that! You will find your father and tell him that you are great hunter.'' Said Killua.

Gon was now looking at Killua with his face full of tears. He couldn't hold that angst anymore.

''I need to go.'' Said Gon

''Where are we going?'' Asked Killua.

''I am going alone!'' Scream Gon

Gon ran off into the middle of the forest that was in the park and that almost gives Killua a heart attack.

''GON NO! YOU CAN'T FIGHT AND THE ANTS ARE OUT!'' Scream Killua going after him.

Soon the two boys were running in the woods.

Knuckle and Shoot saw the whole thing and wonder if Gon finally snapped.

''They are going out of my viewpoint.'' Said Shoot.

''Let's go!'' Scream Knuckles.

Soon the two follow the young hunters into the woods.

Gon kept thinking that he wasn't strong enough to save Kite. The long-haired hunter was probably being tortured every hour by Pitou and the others ants, while he was here all fine.

''I am weak! I am weak!'' Thought Gon all sad as he keeps running.

He remember that night that he and the others saw Kite body. Even though he couldn't talk Gon couldn't only read one thing in that tortured face.

''Why didn't you saved me?''

Gon kept running as he was more devasting than before. He let the guy that inspired him to become a hunter die and he can't imagine what is going to be like to face the monster that did this. He felt like a coward.

''I´m sorry Kite!'''' Scream Gon.

Killua kept keeping up but Gon was getting difficult to track. But Killua couldn't give up on him, after everything that Gon did for him he wouldn't just go away.

''Please stop. This isn't supposed to happen.'' Thought Killua all sad.

''HEY! KILLUA!'' Scream a loud voice.

Killua turns his head and saw both Knuckles and Shoot running near him.

''Knuckle, Shoot!'' Said Killua in surprise to see the two.

''What is going on with Gon?'' Asked Shoot.

''What do you think, he feels horrible after seeing what they did with Kite.'' Said Killua.

''Yeah, I imagined that this would be one of the options that he would have took to relish its frustration.'' Said Shoot.

''Can't you take of the IRS?'' Asked Killua to Knuckles.

''I can't.'' Said him.

''Are you for real?" Asked Killua.

''Those are the terms that you two agreed on it once you joined the team.'' Said Knuckles

''If you want Knuckles to disactivate you and Gon will have to drop out of the operation.'' Said Shoot.

Killua was now feeling a little hesitant about that. If they were signed off from the extermination team this would be the time that Gon would get madder because he wouldn't have a chance to get revenge on Pitou. So he decided to just get him back.

''At least help me get him.'' Said Killua.

''Sure.' Said Shoot

Killua and the other two hunters decided to track Gon. They followed the path of the footprints which all lead to a big cave.

''A cave?'' Asked Killua confused

''He´s inside.'' Said Knuckles.

''No shit sherlock.'' Said Killua in sarcasm.

''Let's get in.'' Said Shoot.

''Sure.'' Said Knuckles getting his phone to serve as a flashlight.

Killua and the others get inside of that weird cave. They went deep and soon found Gon there in the dark crying and looking miserable.

''Hi Gon, its me.'' Said Knuckles trying to humor the kid.

''Knuckles! Please take this I…'' Said Gon all desperate but Knuckles was straight with him.

''Sorry, I can't do it. Rules are rules Gon.'' Said Knuckles all sincere.

Gon was now feeling miserable again as he looks like the saddest person in the world.

''Why? Why do I feel weaker than before?" Asked him.

''Hey calm down. You are stronger than the average man and surely can do some damage.'' Said Shoot.

''Yes, you hurt me for good when we fought. Keep it up and you can do some serious devastation to my bones.'' Said Knuckles trying to calm him.

''Its not going to be the first time that you will have your nen lock. There is a lot of abilities that interfere with people to unleash their full power.'' Said Shoot.

''Yeah Gon relax. If anything, think of Knuckles ugly face when you want to let out your rage. In fact punch him right now.'' Said Killua trying to get some humor there.

''WHAT DID YOU SAID!'' Scream Knuckles all piss.

Killua laugh at that alongside Shoot. Even Knuckles despite being pissed was willing to let Gon punch him just to feel good. One punch and that's it.

''I don't know. I just want to see Kite again.'' Said Gon.

Killua felt again pretty sad on seeing his best friend like this so he knells down and talk to him.

''Look I know that Kite is important to you. After all he is the first hunter you ever came across, so I understand your frustration. But being mad and sad isn't going to bring him back Gon. We can do this; in a few days you will have your nen back and we will get revenge for what Pitou did. I promise.'' Said Killua.

Gon look at Killua and for the first time in that night a smile was appearing in the green harried hunter face.

While the two boys were trying to calm each other, the other two hunters seen to be busy with other matters.

''Hey Shoot what are you doing?'' Asked Knuckles.

''Looking at these scriptures. They are very unique.'' Said Shoot seeing various weird symbols in the wall of that cave.

''What are they saying?" Asked Knuckles.

''I have no idea so far.'' Said Shoot.

''Better not break your head over that. We already have too much in our plate.'' Said Knuckles.

''Huh?" Asked the long neck hunter.

Shoot kept looking at the scriptures. Although he couldn't make it what they were saying, he could understand that there was something related to the elements of nature.

''Water, Earth, Fire, Air.'' Said him looking at the symbols.

''The elements. What are they for?' Asked Knuckles.

''I can decipher one thing. Once the light of blue moon touch these walls and the avatar is necessity, you shall be transported.'' Said Shoot translated the scriptures.

On the sky tonight a blue full moon was at full view and its light was about to get in that cave.

''The light of the moon?" Asked Shoot.

''The avatar?'' Asked Shoot.

Soon the light touched the cave and the entire place started to glow very bright. It looked like a neon style and it was almost getting the four hunters all blind.

''What´s going on?" Asked Gon all weirded out.

'''Huh?! I don't know.'' Said Killua.

''Gon, Killua lets run!'' Scream Knuckles.

''Better than too…'' Said Killua.

But it was too late. On that night Gon Frescc, Killua Zoldyck, Knuckle Bine and Shoot McMahon disappeared from the face of the Earht and were transported into another world.

Southern Water tribe

The four hunters were tossed by a big vortex of bright light and their faces were all hit in the cold snow of the water tribe.

''AAAAAH'' Scream the four.

The four figures were at first in shock but decided to guard all their frustration for later.

''Where are we?''' Asked Shoot.

''I don't know but is too damn cold.'' Said Knuckles.

''Gon! Where are you?" Asked Killua looking at the snow.

''i´m righ here!'' Scream Gon tossing out the snow.

''Are you ok?" Asked Killua

''yes.'' Said Gon.

Killua didn't know if this was real or not. He wanted to believe Gon, but after that huge breakdown he didn't know what to do.

''Do any of you have a phone?"' Asked Killua.

''Yes.'' Said Shoot giving the phone to Knuckles.

However the buff hunter was not happy.

''Crap the water of snow destroy it.'' Said Knuckles.

''Good, now we are stuck in god knows where ready to freeze to death.'' Said Killua.

''Hey isn't my fault that we were on the wrong spot at the wrong time.'' Said Knuckles.

Killua ignore knuckles and decided to talk with Gon again.

''Gon how are you feeling?'' Asked Killua.

''I am feeling fine. For real.'' Said Gon back with his usual smile.

''Are you?'' Asked Shoot.

Gon felt the trio looking at him worried and wanting to know if he was telling the truth or not. He couldn't keep hiding his emotions all the time, this was bad for him.

''I´m sorry if I worried you all.'' Said Gon.

''Sorry! Sorry is not going to get us out of this iceberg!'' Scream Knuckles.

''I will make it up. I´m so sorry for worried you out, please I will do what I can to survive. Please Knuckles.'' Said Gon begging Knuckles.

Knuckles only rolls his eyes at this. He is a merciful guy but was following Gon that they end up in whatever part of the planet this was. So, for now he decided to give the kid another chance.

''Sure, but don't force yourself. We still have a mission after we get back.'' Said him.

''Ok.'' Said Gon going back to be optimistic like usual.

The hunters all looked around and saw no sign of civilization or any people near them. Plus, there is only water on the other side and swimming in that water is pretty much death sentence.

''How are we going to get out of this iceberg?'' Asked Killua.

''I don't know.'' Said Shoot

The four hunters were pretty much dead-on arrival. Without winter clothes they would freeze to death in no time, and they were all starting to lose focus.

''I can't end like this.'' Said Shoot all dizzy.

''We can't die right now. Billions of people are counting on us.'' Said Knuckles.

''Knuckles how about we use our shirts to make a fire.'' Said Gon with an idea.

''That is not gonna be enough for the four of us.?!'' Scream him

''Yes, he has a point.'' Said Killua

Soon the cold was starting to get into the hunter's brain as they all fell dizzy and weak, dropping in the ice all immobilized.

''I´m sorry I can't handle anymore.'' Said Shoot all weak.

''Shoot!'' Scream Knuckles seeing his partner going down.

Later Gon and Killua also got out, leaving Knuckles as the only one in conscious for now.

''Dammit.'' Said him all angry.

Knuckles was trying his best to warm up his friends, but his body alone didn't have much heat and knew that any time he would black out and freeze to death. What an embarrassing way to die.

''I can't…hold…any longer.'' Said him all cold and loosing focus.

The Beast hunter was doing what he could to find a way to get out of that damn ice, but nothing was coming toward them or any sigh of life was near.

''We still have to keep going or the boss will kick our asses. But how are we going to survive?" Thought him.

The tall hunter was starting to lose focus when suddenly he saw hope in the form of a little boat pilot by two skimo's.

''A boat!'' Scream him with all that was left of his energy.

Knuckles waves his hands and soon drop to the ground; however his sign was enough to warm the attention of two people.

''Sooka stop it! There are people stranded there.'' Scream Katara.

Later

The Hunter group was now fully clothed in winter clothes and were being saved by the siblings Katara and Sokka. While Katara try to warm them with some hot water, Sokka didn't know what to make of them.

''They all have pulse. They are alive!'' Said Katara all happy.

''What do you think they were doing in the iceberg?" Asked Sokka paddling.

''I don't know.'' Said Katara.

Sokka didn't fully trusted outsiders of his village and by the looks of those weird people they must be somehow tied with the fire nation.

''They all have weird haircuts and clothes. I say we must interrogate them later.'' Said Sokka all serious and goofy at the same time.

''Stop being paranoic for a minute. They almost froze to death.'' Said Katara being all angry at her brother.

Katara knew that her brother makes a good point, but she had the feeling that those people weren't bad, they were just victims of bad luck. But how someone goes to the southern water tribes with only those clothes and not any winter clothes is pretty much asking to get weak by the arrival.

''I don't know who you guys are but…I couldn't leave any of you two die.'' Thought Katara all

All the hunters were still pretty cold and couldn't answer back but soon they would wake up and realize that they were not in their world and yes in a land dominated by benders of the four elements.

So, this is the start of a brand-new fanfic. I say this one can be quite good. Also don't worry about Gon nen, he will use in the story but the time in both worlds works different. I will display that in later chapters, but for now we will concentrate in the hunters trying to understand what kind situation they are in. See you all next chapter.

Another point. Sorry if Gon seems out of character in this chapter. I thought since he saw Kite body, he was holding up all those feelings and all that was keeping him so cheerful was his workout. I am not going to do some kind modification of the characters personalities; this would be just this chapter. The rest they would be their usual self.

Also yeah is another portal thing. Sorry but I like these cliches, I know is very old, but you don't see many fics doing this now a days so is ok.
