femslash100100 prompt: 002. heartbreak

Every Friday, I'll be posting a new femslash drabble for #femslashfriday using old archived prompts from femslash100100 and femslashficlets on Dreamwidth. This week's is an angsty Marigail drabble. (Why is there still no character tag for Marissa Schurr?! Does anybody know how to request for a character's tag to be added?) As always, I love reviews, so please leave them if you are so inclined. Hope you enjoy! :)

~ BLEEDING HEART ~

Grief is not linear. Some days, Abigail thinks she has it under control, wrapped up so tightly within her bleeding heart that grief suffocates and dies and all that's left is grit and hard-won survival. Other days, Abigail wakes up from a dream of Marissa, or a nightmare — would she have tasted like the others? did she know, in the end, what I am? — and she is painfully aware that she's never had control. All she has is an endless supply of grief, guilt, and the knowledge that Marissa would still be alive and well if it weren't for her.
