"What is it? I got most of it from those people. What else is there to explain?" Miku rhetorically asks me.

But before I could say a word that she interrupted me.

"You liar, we promised not to keep secrets!" she shouts at me.

I was not liking this one bit, I was tired and hungry. I spent the previous hours fighting the rogue Symphogear wielder, Noise and tapping my report before listening to what Shishou and everyone had to say before being finally free to go home. And while all I want is to sleep and recover properly, I'm instead being attacked by my childhood friend without having any room to say anything.

'I don't have to put up with it,' I thought before opening my mouth. "That rich coming from you."

That's not what I wanted to say, but I guess being treated a liar really didn't sit well with me.

I watch Miku's eyes widening at first before narrowing. "What are you insinuating, Hibiki?"

I roll mines at her act, playing dumb about the large boulder she is trying to hide behind her. "Do you really think I don't know that you are hiding something from me? That I'm an idiot who can't even notice you attempting to tell me something but stopping short each time?" I accuse her.

This time, Miku's eyes widen in horror realizing what I was talking about, her mouth opening and closing like a gaping golden fish as she tried to stutter any kind of response. "I-"

But I don't let her. "2 years, Miku. You've been doing it for more than 2 years and I have been patient with you this whole time. I know it's related to the Zwei Wings Concert from that time but I never said anything about it to pressure you."

"No, tha-"

I continue, ignoring her attempt to say a word. "I gave you all the time you needed to have the courage of telling me what it was… But you! You wanted to make a promise of not hiding secrets from the other based on a silly video that you had an 'extremely hard time' keeping secret from me, are you kidding me! That promise was a lie the very moment the words left your mouth. Two months! That's how long I have kept it from you, you have been doing the same for two years and I'm the liar!? At least I can defend myself by saying it was to not involve you in something big, WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE?"

I didn't realize that my voice had been rising until I yell the last sentence, causing Miku to tense and shutting her eyes close in reflexes. I was upset, clearly upset, I knew that much, but whether it was at Miku or the whole secret thing in general, I couldn't tell.

A silence took place between us during my own musing and Miku must have thought she could use it to talk to me. "Hibiki, I-"

But I didn't want to listen and cut her off purposely. "Save it, you will just create more lies to cover it," I say while turning around, walking back toward the entrance. 'The same way she wouldn't want to hear to what I had to say, I will return the feeling to her.' I thought, bending myself to take my shoes.

"Wait, Hibiki! Where are you going," she calls for me as I was already putting my shoes back on.

"Out. Will be better than staying here with you," I flatly answer, gently kicking the tip of my shoes on the floor before pushing the door opened and leaving our common dorm room, deaf to any further call from my childhood friend.

Heading out has really been the right choice, the fresh air of the cold night doing wonders into calming me from the earlier feeling I had confronting Miku.

I didn't realize how long I had walked when I reach the closest park, meaning that I walked the whole way past Flower and beyond.

Before I could think about more on how long I had been walking that I pick up voices nearby, walking in the general direction of them, the sight I discover rather surprised me.

A bit further in front of me were two children; a boy and a girl, but what was the strangest was the identity of the third person; Yukine Chris. The girl that I fought earlier today and that I saved from a flying Noise was actually talking, conversing? I was not sure, she seems to be a bit upset over the two causing me to chuckle a bit about a villain having a hard time with kids. Smiling, I walk toward the group

I was quickly noticed by the other wielder, causing her to put on the defensive stance at first and drawing the attention of the two kids on me by doing so.

I stop at a fair distance from Chris-chan, a smile still plastered on my face as I took a closer look at the girl that seems to hate me, at least part of my self but it was kind of nice of a change to know why I was being hated for once. The silver hair was really standing out as well as her chest, which was frankly amazing since she is smaller than me despite being older by a year.

"Do you know her Onee-chan?"

Our somehow staring contest was interrupted by the little girl's question, our eyes shifting to her before being back on the other, I could see the other wielder being unsure of what she should say, so I decided to take the reign.

"I'm Tachibana Hibiki, and yes I know her. But more importantly what are you two doing out this late?" I present myself, crouching to the girl level before quickly shifting the conversation to them.

This time it was the boy answering, putting itself in front of the girl, probably her sister. "Dad vanished and Onee-chan said she was going to help us find him."

I raise an eyebrow at the boy's word before shifting my eyes toward Chris-chan, I could see a faint blush adorning her face before she attempts to hide it by looking away.

'She does have a soft side,' I idly thought before standing up. "Then I will help you as well," I announce, not missing the careful gaze of the older girl but answering with a smile.

Things had gone smoother than I thought they would, the kids were walking between Chris-chan and me, both holding each other hand while the other, one of us.

Walking through the district as Chris-chan suddenly hums a soft song as she was seemingly lost in thought, it was a really nice melody, and I could tell that she was at least lying to herself when she said that she hates singing when fighting me.

The father was found, or rather the father found us? Anyway, we were passing a police station when we encounter the father, a quick thank from the kids and the adult before they were on their own way, leaving us both Chris-chan and me alone.

Then, my stomach suddenly growls remembering me that the last thing I had eaten was breakfast and some snack earlier in the day. Sighing, I look toward my unexpected companion before asking. "Want to grab something to eat? My treat."

She eyes me suspiciously, which is fair, after all, not until earlier today we were fighting each other. "What are you on about?" she asks.

Tilting my head to the side in mild confusion, I simply answer. "Well, I didn't eat much since this morning and was hoping to have some company as I eat at a nearby restaurant or something."

Her eyes narrow at me, crossing her arms below her large chest, drawing my attention to them for a moment before looking back up. "It's not a trap, right?"

I pull my hands out of my cardigan, showing her my phone. "I only just have my phone, the communicator was left in my bag so I can't contact HQ," I shrugged the last part.

She still looks hard at me for a moment before I hear her own stomach groan in turn, causing me to smirk as she quickly put her arms around it, face flushed in embarrassment. I raised an eyebrow at her in a silent question.

"You say you're paying right?"

My smile morphs into a grin before nodding and walking toward a nearby fast-food restaurant with the Ichaival wielder in toe, I have little doubt that one portion would be enough to calm the beasts inside us.

As we eat together, with my companion making a bit of a mess, my mind couldn't be further away from what happened earlier with Miku as I decide to enjoy my little time with my surprisingly friendly foe.
