"Where are those two?" Hermione thought to herself when she couldn't find Harry or Ron on the train. It was starting out to be a pretty terrible year. First, she forgot her favorite jumper, which she realized as a chill swept through the train. Then, she spent the next half hour helping Neville find his toad, Trevor, only for him to realize he had left the toad in his compartment. And now, she couldn't find her two best friends anywhere on the train!

With an indignant huff, she stomped into the first compartment she found, not caring who or what was in it. Well, maybe she should've cared because in this compartment, Pansy Parkinson was snogging the living daylights out of Blaise Zabini.

Rolling her eyes, she walked over to the next compartment, where she found Draco Malfoy reading what happened to be her favorite book. Too exhausted to find an empty compartment, she plopped down on the seat across from him.

"What are you doing here, Granger?" he asked. She rolled her eyes. "Well if you must know, Harry and Ronald are nowhere to be found, I've forgotten my jumper, and yours was the only available compartment." Malfoy snorted. It's not my fault that you forgot your jumper or that your friends ditched you, so don't go taking it out on me." She nearly threw a retort back at him, but she decided that if they were going to be spending the rest of the train ride together, she might as well try to get along with him.

She sighed. "You're right, Draco. I'm sorry." His eyes widened. "Er- since when have you called me Draco?" She rolled her eyes. He was making this whole 'getting along' thing quite difficult. "Well, I've decided that we might as well try to get along seeing as it's not me you have a problem with, it's my friends." He seemed to take that into consideration for a moment. "All right, Gra- Hermione."

She smiled. Scooting towards him, she pointed to his book. "That so happens to be my favorite book, so could I read it along with you?" He moved the book towards her so she could see. i

As Gabriel and Ellen looked at the stars sitting on the canyon, Ellen could feel her heart beating faster and faster. She lay her head on Gabriel's shoulder, slightly hurt when he pulled away. She opened her mouth to apologize, but before she could, he kissed her.

Hermione sighed. "How romantic," she murmured. Draco snorted, bringing her out of her reverie. "Oh please," he said. "It's only glaringly obvious he's using her to get information about her grandfather, you know, the one who left behind that riddle that everyone had been trying to solve for 30 years?"

She scoffed, "Of course you would say that Malfoy. It's obvious you would want Ellen to end up with Bradley, who was an annoying prat that treated Ellen horribly unless he wanted something." Draco rolled his eyes. "Of course not! Bradley was even worse! He outright told her that the only way he would be with her is if she told him everything she knew about her grandfather! I personally believe that she should have ended up with Jackson."

Hermione was shocked. She had always secretly wanted Ellen to end up with Jackson, and she only said Ellen should have ended up with Gabriel because that seemed to be the general consensus. Draco smirked. "Of course, you wouldn't want that, seeing as Jackson genuinely liked Ellen for who she was, even before he knew about the riddle."

Before she could think about what she had done, she threw her arms around Draco. "Finally!" she shouted. "Someone else has seen the light!" She danced around the room, laughing, because out of all the people that could share her views on the book, it had to be Malfoy.

She turned around, laughing uncontrollably, until she felt Draco's lips pressed against hers. Naturally, she reciprocated the kiss, and when she finally pulled away, she was genuinely confused. "What was that for?" Draco looked like he was shocked that he did that too. But before he could respond, Hermione pressed her lips to his.

They snogged for about a half an hour, before they were cut off by a loud gasp from behind them. Ginny Weasley was staring open-mouthed at them. Hermione quickly rushed to explain, but Ginny just started laughing. "FINALLY!" she choked out. "Harry owes me 5 Galleons!"
