Soaring through the skies of the Aragami invested skies, a private jet with an escort of helicopters were making their way towards the destination of the Fenrir Far East Branch. Before the calamity, such private vehicles were in the possession of the wealthy, flying to their hearts content and damning the consequences. However, ever since the devastation brought forth on Earth in 2050, any and all private planes are now in the possession of Fenrir, making them the personal fliers for their Directors as they conduct their business.

One of the Directors in question is in charge of the plane and the escort, and unlike the Branch Directors, he conducts his own investigations all over the world. Being in charge of the Intelligence division, the man on the plane, Isaac Feldman, felt an obligation to investigate the new situation that Paylor Sakaki and his God Eaters have gotten themselves into. Looking out for a brief moment, the man narrowed his sight as his escort fleet avoided the swarms of Zygotes and other aerial Aragami types before gazing at the folder in his hands.

Opening it up, he read through the files delivered to his own terminal at Fenrir HQ, having them printed out before bringing them with him on his flight. From what he looked into, the Far East Branch has gotten themselves in scenarios that any other Branch would find utterly ridiculous, but Feldman knew that whatever it was, it was real. It also helped that the reports within the folder were submitted to him by Soma Schicksal, meaning that the situation was dire enough.

The files in question are in regards to the latest situations, from Operation: BRUTAL OVERTHROW, the discovery of the world of Remnant and the appearance of the Psion Marduk on a world devoid of Aragami. Along with that were medical files on two women that bore a resemblance towards Elena, with one of them having records both pre-Aragami and post Aragami transformations. From what he can gather, the woman that underwent Aragami Infection had spent a decade as the Marduk before coming back and, under Sakaki's suggestion, is placed under Elena Branwen's watch.

While he has an idea as to who the Captain of Blood Special Forces's parents are now, even after looking over the information regarding what the God Eaters uncovered on Remnant, his main concern is the possible Aragami incursion that could happen on Remnant. To that end, he has opted to investigate the matter personally due to his ties and connections with the Far East Branch, even sending in a detailed request to HQ to conduct it. As far as Feldman was concerned, so long as there is humans in danger from the threat of the devouring monsters, it is Fenrir's Duty to prevent it from happening.

"Sir," he was brought out of his musings as a God Eater he had brought with him, Annette Koenig, spoke out of nervousness. "Is there a reason why you brought me and Frederico back to the Far East?"

"Not that we're complaining," her partner in question adds in. "It's just that… we were both doing our jobs scouting out potential Satellite Base locations when you requested us specifically."

"Let's just say that certain unknown variables came in, and the Far East Branch has once again garnered unwanted attention," he answers the two Cradle members. "It concerns the thoughts of their latest God Eater, Raven Branwen."

"Oh, her," the girl questioned before crossing her arms. "Something felt off about her when I saw her out on the field… the unusual Bias Factor Armlet she has on her arm to the way she carried herself."

"You have to admit, she did help out a lot during that operation against the Brutus," her partner pointed out, reaching out for his travel mug filled with coffee as he spoke. "I mean, if it wasn't for her, Blood Special Forces would have lost another teammate, and the mass horde of Hannibals would have been far worse."

"Still doesn't explain how odd it is for a woman nearing her 40's suddenly becoming a God Eater."

"How would you know that?"

"Girls have a… sort of sixth sense when it comes to those things," Annette explained.

"Some sense… it doesn't help with fighting against the Aragami."

"Enough," Feldman cuts in their conversation, getting their attention as he spoke out. "Regardless of her circumstances, she joined up with the Fenrir Far East Branch, eventually becoming one of the God Eaters of unparalleled skill. We need people like her to combat the tide against us. On Earth… and supposedly Remnant should the Aragami arrive."

Seeing their confused expressions, the Intelligence Director handed over the manilla folder with all the information compiled by the Far East to them, letting them go through the contents before returning to gaze at the horizon. His mind going over supposed hypothesis, he wondered how a different reality, where humans and the Faunas he read about came to existence, surviving in their own way against the monsters of their side. He decides to set the thoughts on the side as the horizon began to brighten as the sun rose in the distance, signifying that the night has ended.

To him, he was more than looking forward to investigating Remnant, and prepare it for whenever the Aragami arrives there in force.

BLAZEFIREDRAGO PRESENTS

A RWBY x GOD EATER CROSSOVER

SEQUEL TO A BRANWEN'S PAST

As a few days have passed for her, Ruby can't help but be awed over how capable the God Eaters were against the horde of Aragami. After the eventful battle between Elena, Raven and Summer against the returning Dyaus Pita, her team had split up to observe different encounters against the devouring monsters, from the 1st Unit under Kota's command against a pack of Garms to the Cradle Representatives taking on a Fallen Ouroboros. She then made a point to go through Elena's terminal in her room to better familiarize herself with the forms of the Aragami, even updating the sketches she had done of them before meeting her sister.

Now, she was yawning rather loudly as her team, as well as Glynda Goodwitch, were lazily enjoying a rather early breakfast under orders of Elena and the Far East Director Paylor Sakaki. Out of them all, Weiss was the most vocal about the early wake up call when she made her concerns, only to learn that someone from the Intelligence Division will be arriving soon. Not only that, but Elena warned them all that they will be drilled for information by the individual, actively shutting down any complaints the Heiress had before telling them all to get some food in their stomachs.

Due to the early wake up call, the girls plus the teacher had moved to where the lounge was located, surprised to see that the young girl Mutsumi, despite being nine years old, had already set plates down for them. Surprised to see the child make what appeared to be French toast with bacon, the Remnant natives thanked her before digging in, savoring the tastes that assaulted their mouths. As they ate, the young girl smiled at them as she went on to clean the mugs and glasses, satisfied with them eating the breakfast.

"Man, no offence to the cafeteria back at school, but this breakfast is killer," she heard Yang out from the noise as the blonde spoke to her team. "I mean, the French Toast is actually made to taste like French Toast, not greased up cardboard."

"You make it sound like the food was terrible, but I have to agree with how good this is," Weiss added in, taking small bites out of the bacon before speaking. "remind me to tip the young girl when we're done."

"How? I don't think they accept Lien here in the Fenrir Branches."

"Elena and the others supplied us with enough credits to count as an allowance, so I'm willing to give some to the young girl. She could use the money."

"Just make sure that it is a reasonable tip, Miss Schnee," Glynda speaks up, seeing the young Mutsumi come over with drinks. "We don't want her to be overwhelmed by a large sum of money now, do we?"

"You don't need to leave me a tip anyways," they all turned to face the young nine-year old as she smiled at them. "Just seeing you enjoy the food I make is the tip I need."

"Preposterous," the Schnee Heiress countered, surprising the girl as she spoke out. "You have worked hard on preparing us a meal to start our day. You really didn't have too, you know."

"Trust me, I'm okay with making breakfast for everyone." Mutsumi then groaned as she remembered three years ago. "You would agree with me after learning that all they had was bland MREs and beer. Be glad a petition made Fenrir HQ deploy proper food supplies to all of its branches."

"It can't be easy getting all of this stuff, is it," Blake questioned. "Especially with all the Aragami around. They could just intercept the transports and devour them all."

"Fenrir's not stupid. The transports are always escorted by a convoy of choppers housing the mobile God Eater Units. That way the supplies get to the Branches without worry."

"Sounds like you have a lot of faith in them," Ruby commented Mutsumi.

"Trust me, nothing elevates spirits higher than a prepared meal done by a woman," Mutsumi stated, wagging her finger. "The God Eaters can't keep up their energy against powerful Aragami without it."

"As enlightening as this conversation is, I have to wonder why you're up this early," Glynda cuts in, getting the nine-year old's attention. "Don't get me wrong, we're thankful for the meal and all, but shouldn't you be sleeping right now?"

"I'm preparing drinks ahead of time for your meeting," her answer surprised the visitors from Remnant. "Director Sakaki asked if I can get a plethora of drinks ready for the duration of the meeting and paid me in advance."

"What meeting?"

"Why, the meeting with Director Feldman." Seeing their confused faces, the young girl grabbed a remote before turning on the screen, cycling through the image gallery until an image of the mentioned man is shown while speaking. "Director Feldman has worked with the Far East Branch during the situation involving the Spiral Tree, conducting investigations on it until it became the Lush Sanctuary."

"Ok, so what's so special about him," Yang asked out.

"He's in charge of the Fenrir Intelligence Division, which means that any information submitted over to Fenrir HQ is sent to him. He's the type of individual that looks between the lines, and when something doesn't sit well, he takes apart what he knows to grasp the truth."

'Meaning that this man could be a threat to Ozpin's Inner Circle,' the blonde teacher thought to herself. 'Just one look at our myths and legends and he'll demand straight answers.'

"The fact that he's coming again means that he's aware of Remnant's existence," Weiss summarized, getting a nod from the little girl. "Do you think he's worried about an Aragami appearance on Remnant?"

"Most likely, yes." Taking their now empty plates, Mutsumi placed them into the sink before giving them a smile. "Was the breakfast to your liking?" She received praise from the five visitors, nodding before speaking up once more. "Great. Head on over to the elevator and take it to the Director's Office hallway. Once you get off, enter the room on the left side. That is where the meeting will be held."

Nodding in thanks, the girls of RWBY and their teacher left the lounge and Mutsumi behind, happy that they had eaten a proper morning meal despite the sun starting to rise outside. As they moved over towards their destination, they can't help but be nervous as the Director of Fenrir's Intelligence Division would most likely question them about the inner workings of Remnant. Both Ruby and Yang had to wonder if Elena and their mother were already up, since neither of them had seen them yet.

Speaking of the three, they were with Ayane and Sakaki as they witnessed the private plane belonging to their guest land on the Branch, and each one of them had their attires changed for the occasion. While Raven decided to wear the clothes she once wore when she arrived in the Far East for the first time with Qrow, Elena had opted to wear her black and red Blood Long Blade top and Charge Spear Bottom, with the right sleeve rolled up to reveal her Aragami infected limb. As for Summer, she retained the white cloak she had while wearing what looked like Elena's old clothes, a red t-shirt underneath a black heavy vest and dark blue jeans, complete with a pair of pitch-black sneakers. She of course had holes cut to accommodate her glowing red Marduk capes.

Seeing the plane open up, both the Branwen and the Rose Matriarchs took witness as Annette and Frederico exited out first, followed by the man in charge of Fenrir Intelligence stepping off of it. This was the first time both women saw Director Feldman as he approached the group, stopping to extend a hand towards Sakaki. Seeing as the two are in charge of their respective positions, they shook hands as Ayane and Elena saluted the man out of reflex and respect.

"Thank you for arriving, Director Feldman," the old man greeted as their hands separated. "I only wish that the flight here was uneventful."

"It was a smooth flight, one without Aragami interruption," the Intelligence Director answered before gazing at Elena, going somber over the sight of her Aragami infected limb. "And I am glad to see that you have returned to the field Captain Branwen. I have heard what had happened to you after reading through the summary of Operation: BRUTAL OVERTHROW. You have my condolences."

"I'm just glad I'm able to go back to fighting Aragami, sir," she replied back, relaxing herself as she ended her salute as he approached her mothers.

"And you two must be Raven Branwen and Summer Rose, the two women who share a blood bond to Elena. I have heard of how you fought on the front lines with Elena's Kurogane, Raven, as well as how long you have existed as a Marduk, Summer."

"Trust me, it is not an experience I would want to wish on others, Mister Feldman," Summer comments while looking down, her wolf ears lowering in response to her emotions. "It was a struggle to fight that thing… I've taken more than just its white mane, ears and capes."

"If it helps, I am relieved to see you return to humanity, Miss Rose." Adopting a professional tone, he returned his gaze back to Sakaki as he spoke. "This is not a personal visit, I assure you. Certain Developments revolving around this world of Remnant have me rather concerned, and I wish to act fast enough to respond."

"I understand completely," Sakaki answers also in a professional courtesy. "We have already requested the presence of the other visitors of Remnant to take part in our meeting, as well as assembled the God Eaters of both Blood Special Forces and the remote unit Cradle."

"I appreciate it. Koenig, Caruso, you are relieved for now. Reconnect with the others here in the Far East Branch." Seeing them relax, the Intelligence Director turned around before making his way towards the Branch with the welcoming committee not far behind before addressing them. "Are the visitors aware of my appearance?"

"Yes, and they will be expecting you in the meeting," Elena answers. "I had to wake them up earlier than what they're used to for breakfast however, so I paid Mutsumi in advance."

"Excellent. Just know that I will want any information we will come across during and after the meeting." Looking back at Summer and Raven, the man's eyes steeled while finishing his statement. "Even information that is kept secret if it will help humanity survive."

Raven knew what he meant as she nodded while Summer tilted her head in confusion while re-entering the Branch, passing by various God Eaters, Operators and additional staff as they approached the meeting hall. Raven already has an idea as to what topic she'll bring up to the Intelligence Director regarding the nature of the Maidens, while Summer would possibly bring up the Silver Eyes legend. However, despite the existence of the concept of magic, the possible threat of the Aragami is far dangerous than a rogue Maiden.

Once they have reached the meeting room, they were greeted with the sight of RWBY and Glynda on the one side alongside Alisa and Kota while Lindow and the Blood Unit sat on the other. Taking their respective seats, both Huntresses and God Eaters eagerly awaited as the two directors moved towards the screen while the room dimmed. While it darkened, the screen lit up as Fenrir's Emblem became visible before sorting out into a stream of data, prompting Sakaki to begin the meeting.

"To those of you that have come, I thank you all for taking the time to make it," Sakaki spoke out, the jovial tone he was known for replaced with that of business. "I needn't introduce the man beside me to the God Eaters, but for our visitors…"

"I am Isaac Feldman, Director of Fenrir Headquarters' Intelligence Division," the man cuts in. "The purpose of this meeting is to better familiarize myself with the world of Remnant, it's history, the myths and legends and preparations for a possible Aragami invasion."

"I don't know what that means," Kota whispers to Alisa, who thought out what the Director was saying.

"As such, any information that you may have is well appreciated if it will mean the survival of the human and faunas species," the Intelligence Director summarized as the visuals on screen shifted over to the map of Remnant, provided from Soma's brief time there. "Now, to my understanding, the society of the world is governed not by a unified government, but four separate kingdoms, five if you count the independent nation of Menagerie?"

"That is correct," Glynda spoke up, grabbing Feldman's attention. "Remnant is made up of four Kingdoms of Vale, Mistral, Atlas and Vacuo. Each one is ruled by a council elected by their respective publics to place laws for their kingdoms."

"And these Kingdoms… are they unified when faced against a common threat?"

"Well…"

"They say they are unified in peace," Raven cuts out Glynda, seeing the teacher frown. "But really, they are far from it." Seeing her glare, the Branwen crossed her arms as she elaborated. "Let me put it this way, the Kingdoms claim that they're in a time of peace, yet in the shadows, there are elements growing with the purpose to sow chaos within."

"Oh, like how you and your group of bandits raid Atlesian trains, killing military personnel and leave settlements to die?"

"I've only done the raids, and last I remembered, I saved a mixed train of Dust and civilian cars from a group of White Fang Extremists." Seeing the woman growl, Raven scoffed as she crossed her arms. "Of course, you only look at the Atlesian soldier casualties. If you had looked further, the White Fang in question were led by Adam's Brutes, including the notorious Atriox."

"Enough," Feldman cuts them off. "Any personal disputes will be settled outside." He then set his gaze towards the Branwen woman. "Explain."

"The Kingdoms have their own individual laws in place, each with a different set of rules on how their people live. Some kingdoms are working towards co-existence, like Vale and Mistral. Atlas prefers the more militaristic approach, and their laws are heavily discriminatory towards the Faunas. Vacuo… they live with the belief that if you can survive the harsh desert conditions, you're equal to them."

"Like your bandits," Glynda muttered out loud, causing Feldman to glare at her before beckoning Raven to continue.

"As I was about to say, discrimination against the faunas is still heavily engrained in the kingdoms, regardless of what the councils say, with the biggest offender being the Schnee Dust Company," she announced, missing Weiss flinch at the mention of her family's business. "Poor working conditions, lower wages and trapped in the mines all their lives while their CEO rakes in the money, all the while covering up his tracks from the public eye."

"Their actions brought about the formation of the White Fang though," Summer cuts in, going through her own memories. "They were founded with the premise of equality between humans and faunas, right? Aren't they still doing that?"

"Not anymore." Sighing, the Branwen crossed her arms as she kept up her thoughts. "Ever since the founding leader stepped down, they've taken a more radical step in their actions, even going so far as to take in extremists like Atriox and his brutes, gorilla faunas that were convicted killers."

"Differing Kingdom laws, heavy discrimination… I bet all of those will be thrown out of the window once the Aragami appear on Remnant," Lindow comments, crossing his arms. "Who would waste time berating someone just for not being human when a Vajra is devastating the town."

"You'll be surprised," Yang counters, leaning forward as a somber look formed on her face. "They'll blame anything on the faunas."

"All of that Will end when we investigate Remnant," the Intelligence Director brings up, motioning to Soma to come up. "Now, Cradle is wondering why they were summoned into this meeting first thing, and Dr. Schicksal has uncovered the reason."

"What's going on, Soma," Alisa questions her squad mate, allowing Feldman to give the floor to him.

"The day Elena and Raven faced the Dyaus Pita at the Academy Ruins, I was notified of a harsh discovery," the young scientist informs them. "The recon patrols underneath the human controlled portions of Aegis Island have noticed that the stasis fields in the lab have shattered, and a core belonging to a dangerous Aragami has escaped."

"So, it's a dangerous monster, you guys can handle it," Yang questions before getting nervous. "Right?"

"If it were a normal Aragami, a Psion or an Arc Aberrant, then that would be the case," Soma answers before sighing heavily. "Unfortunately, the core in question belongs to neither species, but rather an Aragami that the 1st Unit struggled against three years ago."

"Wait, you don't mean," Ayane starts as her eyes widen.

"Exactly… the core belongs to the Aragami capable of bringing about the Devouring Apocalypse… the core of the Nova, and once again it has escaped containment."

"He notified me the moment he found out, only after sharing the news to Director Sakaki," Isaac adds in. "Already we have the Nova Fragment detectors activated to pinpoint where it went, only it has not turned up on Far East Soil. It's highly possible that it may have hidden itself from us and, somehow, escaped to Remnant."

"Of course, it is only a theory, but one that does have merit," the young Schicksal cuts back in. "We had even installed the Nova Detection devices at all of the branches, and they don't have any readings of it in their regions."

"Does that mean that a monster more dangerous than the Grimm could appear at any moment," Ruby questioned Soma, causing him to think on it.

"As of right now, it does not have the strength to fully end the world through a Devouring Apocalypse." This earned a few breaths of relief from the Remnant natives before he continued. "However, that does not mean that it's not a threat." Pulling up images from three years ago, he surprised them and Blood Special forces as an image of a one of a kind Aragami appeared while he spoke. "Like three years ago, the Nova will go and grow into its power, therefore it will seek out a host to take over while it regains its strength. This is one of the forms it took before ceasing function: A quadrupedal Aragami aptly labelled the Arius Nova. It has only become this after growing its strength."

"As of now, all we know is that the Nova's core may have relocated somewhere on Remnant, looking for a host to take over as it regains the abilities it used to have," Feldman announces. "As a mass of growing Oracle Cells itself, it could very well spell the beginning of an Aragami incursion on your world."

"Feldman and I believe that with the Nova Core's presence possibly being on Remnant, the Aragami could appear at any time," Sakaki brings up. "Therefore, both Blood Special Forces and the members of Cradle, specifically those that made up the 1st Unit three years ago, will be mobilizing to Remnant to take care of the threat. Operator Fran has elected to volunteer as overseer of the operation."

"And to ensure the chain of command is further stable, I will be coming along to investigate the matter," Feldman finalizes. "Should we need to, we'll look into growing our God Eater Numbers." Seeing them all settle down; the Director sets his gaze on the visitors before speaking. "Now, is there anything else I should know about?"

It only took a few seconds for any form of response as Raven sighed out before calling out. "There is. Sakaki, I can safely assume you read the report from the 3rd Unit during the Search for Elena? Specifically, at the end where the Hannibal nest at the Tranquil Temple became active?"

"Yes, I have," Sakaki comments before frowning. "Although I am still skeptical on Gina's claims."

"Well… before I get into it, I must inform you of a specific fairy tale on Remnant called the Four Seasons."

"Raven, you can't tell them of—" Glynda starts off, only to back off as Feldman raised his hand while she continued.

"I'm not going to bore you with the story, but I can tell you that on Remnant, there are four individuals that are capable of feats normally unheard of or confused as Semblances, our equivalent of the Blood Powers Elena's unit is known for. Each of them is identified by the calling card of flames sprouting from their eyes, usually in the same color as their eyes. Named after the seasons, the Maidens are scattered across Remnant, hidden from the world as the story remains a fairy tale."

"Wait a minute, how do you know about the Maidens being real," she heard Yang question her. "I mean, isn't it just a story people tell their kids before they sleep?"

"How do you think some fairy tales became stories?" Sighing, the woman closed her eyes as she continues. "The Four Maidens were kept hidden from the world under Ozpin's orders, and in the end, they faded from history. He felt it best to obscure them from the public, thinking that it would keep them and their powers safe from His enemy. As for why…" She then opened her eyes as crimson flames sprouted out of them, shocking the girls and the God Eaters while finishing. "… I am the Spring Maiden, having found that out after that Operation with the 3rd Unit."

"What, you're the Spring Maiden," Glynda asked out, not believing any of it before shaking her head. "Why has Qrow not told us about this? He was informed that the Maiden was missing and report to us—"

"Because I warned that idiot what would happen if he reported me to Ozpin," Raven retorts. "Besides, he knows better when it comes to my feelings about all this." Deactivating the Maiden powers, the woman sat down before speaking up. "All I know is that the Maidens are not always permanent as they can pass away. The power will then be transferred over to a young woman last in their thoughts or someone completely random. However, I doubt the Aragami will bother with hunting down four girls with powers beyond imagining."

"Raven, that is something that you can't share with those not within—"

"I can share this with who I trust," the Branwen cuts Glynda off, showing her the armlet she has from the Kurogane Orochi. "And I remember placing myself in Fenrir's radar as being one of their new God Eaters. If anyone should know about the Maidens and can look into the secrets Ozpin have hidden, it is them."

"As wonderful as it is to learn of magic existing, perhaps we should steer our conversation back to the situation at hand," Lindow cuts in. "Raven has a point, the Aragami will no doubt ignore these Maidens unless they're within the monsters' sights, and even then, they can't combat them with flashy powers."

"Right. Any other information regarding them will be updated as we investigate further," Feldman inquires, silencing Goodwitch while glancing towards Elena and Yang's mother. "Will that be okay with you?"

"Fair enough," she relented, agreeing to the Intelligence Director's request. "Just keep an open eye on any topics that will come up, and you'll have no problems with me."

"Good. A day after tomorrow, we will commence the investigation on the world of Remnant, preparing it for the Aragami threat incoming. As such, this will be a collaborative effort between Blood Special Forces, Cradle and any Huntsmen and Huntresses that will ally with Fenrir. Meeting adjourned."

With that being said, the assembled group slowly started to disperse from the meeting room as Feldman conversed with Sakaki in regards to the operation, leaving Elena with Ruby, Yang and her mothers. Glynda had initially stayed behind to leave a glare towards Raven for revealing information that was kept hidden by Ozpin before following the others out. While the reveal of the Maidens was a shock to the girls, Elena had kept quiet on the matter as, to some humans, the Blood Powers her unit possess can also be somewhat considered a form of magic.

"So… you're a Maiden," she heard Yang question her mom as she pondered on it. "I have to say I was not expecting that. Was that why you left me all those years ago?"

"No," Raven answered her. "I initially left to return to the Tribe, only to take part in that mission with Summer seventeen years ago. Back then, I didn't have the Spring Maiden powers."

"Then how did you—"

"Remember Shigure, the swordsman I came to Beacon with?" Getting a nod from her and Ruby, the woman elaborated. "He was the one that found the previous Maiden before me, killing her out of mercy as she didn't want them. He had her think of me before taking her life, thinking that the power will be safe with me. It was only after that Operation at the Tranquil Temple here where I learned I had them, and I somehow activated them when…"

"When I stayed behind to face the Hannibal Nest," Elena finished, getting their attention. "I was undergoing Aragami Infection when it happened though… it was after I had crushed the core of an Arc Aberrant Hannibal where I stayed behind."

"I was desperate to get her back, and in the chaos, unleashed the Maiden calling card while moving the debris away." Sighing, Raven rubbed her forehead as she finished the story. "That was the only time I ever used the Maiden Powers, and even then, I was more focused on getting Elena back… even going so far as to get devoured by her God Arc and fighting Brutus."

"And Glynda blames me for the crazy plans, yet what said was even crazier," Summer pouts, her Marduk ears flattening before relaxing. "But we're glad that you're coming around, even helping in the fight."

"Right, but now we have to worry about Remnant's future," Ruby brought up, her tone suggesting how nervous she is. "I mean, if the Aragami are going to appear, Huntsmen all over the world will be overwhelmed."

"Feldman will come up with something, I know it," Elena assures her, crossing her arms while talking. "If he has to, he'll have to send Huntsmen over to Fenrir to convert them to God Eaters."

"Doing that can help them combat the Aragami," Yang admits.

"Though, that's only if they pass the Aptitude tests."

"It will still help." Stretching, the two daughters got out of their seats before waving to them. "Well, we better psyche ourselves up for the return trip home. We'll see you guys later."

After they said their farewells, the two sisters left the others as they exited the meeting room, leaving the three alone as Feldman and Sakaki left during their conversation. Both Elena and the mothers have a feeling that the situation for Remnant will only get worse now that they know of the Nova's existence being present there. With the monster capable of initiating the Devouring Apocalypse on a world unaffected by Oracle Cells, they fear that its only a matter of time until the Aragami appear in full force, including the Psions, Arc Aberrants and any new breeds that may pop up.

Unknown to them all, the Nova Core has plans of its own… and Remnant is doomed to face monsters far more dangerous than the Grimm.

THE DEVOURING REMNANTS

Having met the entity known as Johannes, Watts couldn't help but be curious over what he was up to. Not only has the former Nova taken over and possibly consumed Salem, it has also taken the time to point out the flaws regarding the end of Remnant's existence. To think the Atlesian Scientist, who knows the truth of the world, would be horrified as the humanoid being criticized Salem's existence before ranting about the Four Relics.

However, he was entirely interested in how the Nova will end Remnant, learning that it is capable of causing an event known as the Devouring Apocalypse. He then explained what would happen if the Four Relics were to be gathered all together and how Salem planned to summon the Brothers of Light and Dark, Remnant's versions of God. That only earned a chuckle from Johannes as he came up with a method to kill the two beings, seeing them to be the greatest obstacle in the Apocalypse's path.

Currently, Watts and Hazel stood a few feet behind the humanoid being out in the Grimmlands as he observed the surrounding horizon. To the Nova's disappointment, the Grimm roaming around pale in terms of strength when compared to the Aragami and, flexes his hand as a torrent of Oracle Cells flowed through it. Chuckling to himself, the humanoid turned to gaze at the remaining followers of Salem, with Watts coming to his side.

"I don't suppose you have an idea, do you Johannes," the scientist comments. "Not to criticize or anything, but Salem was adamant that we divide the Kingdoms, have the Huntsmen go against one another in bloodshed."

"That method would take too long, alongside going after the Maidens," he points out before smirking. "In order to end a world, you must kill off the opposition. The Huntsmen forces are the counter to these pitiful monsters you call the Grimm… but against an Aragami, they are nothing more than food."

"How do you bring them in, then?"

Chuckling, the humanoid Aragami pointed his arm towards the surface as the Oracle Cells grew en masse. "Easy… I fill the world with the very thing that makes up the Aragami."

With that said, the Oracle Cells within his palm crystallized before plummeting into the surface, shocking the Atlesian scientist while the Nova host smirked, enacting the first part in the process. Digging deep enough, the Oracle Cells from the crystallized drill began to spread out through the surface, expanding out from the Grimmlands to the ocean floors and spreading further beyond. As far as the world's populace is concerned, nothing is out of the ordinary, but unknown to them, various monstrous forms began to take appearance under the ground, each one of them opening their eyes as life came to them.

One such region was the Mistralian Forests, where Vernal, the woman left in charge of Raven's bandits scouted out the horizon with another of the tribe, Shay D. Mann. The woman hasn't heard back from Raven when she left to meet with Qrow long ago, wondering if the business she's going through is still ongoing. Despite that, she has proven to be a capable back up leader as she had given the bandits jobs to keep themselves busy.

"Any reason why we're patrolling out at night," she heard Shay ask out. "The Grimm haven't made an appearance since their sudden move to Vale."

"Doesn't hurt to check our surroundings," she answers him, keeping a grip on her weapons. "Just because most of them moved, doesn't mean that all of them have."

"Yeah, yeah, it's still boring as fuck right now. I mean, come on… we could have seen a freaking Beowolf right now."

"Well, maybe they're currently in their dens, resting and rebuilding their numbers."

"Doubt it." A silence filled the air until Shay D. Mann asked out. "Hey, do you believe the rumor? About a giant wolf monster that was considered a threat to the Grimm?"

"You heard the announcement Sakura pitched onto our scrolls from the Valean council," she calmly retorts before frowning. "If such a beast exists, then it could explain why the Grimm suddenly moved to Vale. Even the Nuckalavee that terrorized the villages here on the Anima continent suddenly left for Vale."

"Weird, but if its been taken care of, that means that everything will be easy street for us."

"Don't say that, Shay," she reprimands the Bandit, shocking him with her tone. "Those kinds of statements only scream trouble."

"Oh, come on, don't tell me you're afraid of a little jinx." Chuckling, the man relaxed himself, unaware of the ground shifting underneath his feet. "Little miss vice leader, afraid of a little jinx. Don't worry, everything is fine—"

His train of thought ended as the ground he stood on erupted, sending him flying before he crashed face first on the surface. The woman was quick enough to shield her eyes from the sudden shockwave, but she had no clue as to what had happened to have caused the incident. Just as the smoke cleared, suspense was filled with fear as Shay slowly got back on his feet, regaining his sights before turning to face the cause.

(Cue 進撃の巨人 OST – Counterattack-Mankind at 3:25)

They were unprepared to gaze at it as a Vajra stalked out of the smoke, its red capes surging with electricity as its feline eyes locked onto the two Branwen Bandits. The beast was unlike anything they have ever seen and, due to it not being a Grimm, the monster caught both Shay and Vernal completely by surprise. As it crept forward towards the humans, the female of the duo slowly turned to face the frightened male, gulping as the fear within her grew.

"Shay…" she whispered out, grabbing his attention as the Vajra opened its maw. "RUN…"

Both of them immediately bolted away from the Aragami as the beast roars out, its capes charged with electricity before unleashing a torrent of lightning strikes near their positions, eventually breaking off to rush after them. Following the Feline Aragami, several Ogretails have spouted out from the ground as well, roaring out to signify their appearance before chasing after their new prey. Looking back, Vernal was shocked to see the monsters similar to the Creeps appear to chase her and her partner and, in part of her mind, hoped that the area was the only spot.

Unfortunately for her, the whole of Remnant is now in a new wave of fear and confusion as various forms of Aragami began to sprout from the surface before making their attack. One such attack was on a coastal town on the Solitas Continent, where fisherman and civilian alike were running away from the waters as Gboro-Gboros launched out from the sea, chasing them down and consuming any unlucky soul. One such fisherman cried out in anguish as one of the Aquatic monsters chomped down on his legs, desperately trying to crawl away only to become food for the beast.

Another attack occurred in one of the villages on the Anima Continent, where a barrage of missiles had impacted the town's buildings and causing the people to come out. At first, they thought of it as an attack by Atlas, their expressions changed to fear as a Quadriga and a Tezcatlipoca roared out before unleashing another salvo of rockets. Many were caught in the blast radius of their attacks, leaving most dead while those that survive ran for their lives, only to be chased down by the large Aragamis' escort of Dreadpikes and Ogretails. No one survived the onslaught brought forth by the Large Tank-like Aragami and its Deusphage counterpart as the village was brought down to nothing.

Meanwhile, in a harsh sandstorm on the Sanus continent near the region of Vacuo, a lone convoy was overturned as the occupants tended to their wounded, only to gasp in fear as the colossal form of an Ouroboros made itself known in the tense weather. None of the Huntsmen or the people they were guarding have seen such a monster before, and not even the Goliaths of the Grimm could match the sheer size of the Aragami. Once it had its sights on the helpless humans, it has rooted its form into the sands, unleashing them to skewer its victims as the rest tried and failed to get away.

However, the biggest attack done was on the travelling Amity Coliseum and its escort of Atlesian warships, where a mass surge of Zygotes flew in and took the military by surprise. The soldiers, fearing for their lives, opened fire on the egg-shaped Aragami, only to find out that their ammunition and Dust had no effect on the creatures. One by one, the cruisers fell to their demise as the Aragami chewed and devoured through them, while the rest punctured a hole into the floating stadium.

Those that were on board Amity were taken by surprise as the hardlight shielding failed to protect them from the attacking monsters, and just as they were about to retaliate, the Zygotes moved away as several Sariels flew in before releasing a Borg Camlann onto the coliseum. The humans and faunas were taken by surprise as the Aragami had coordinated the attack and bringing such an armored scorpion into place signifying unity between the Kingdoms. With feared shouts, the Atlesian military personnel opened fire on the Borg Camlann, uncaring if their weapons are affecting it before meeting their end by either its stinger or its maw.

As it butchered the soldiers, the Zygotes that have backed off have now begun to chew away at Amity's very form, tearing through the plating and Dust as the facility began to shake unstably. The lights within it had already started to flicker from the swarm's actions and any soldier that hasn't engaged the large-scale scorpion Aragami are rushing out to where they could evacuate. Unfortunately, the monsters had already destroyed their evac shuttles and cut off their means of escape and, after several moments, the coliseum began to plummet into the ocean waters between Sanus and Solitas, becoming a grave for the men and women unable to escape.

The Aragami attacks have not gone unnoticed in Nova Johannes' eyes as he smirked out in victory, already feeling the effects of the Oracle Cells spreading throughout Remnant and creating more Aragami. Some have even erupted from the grounds of the Grimmlands, surprising Watts as a Magatsu Kyuubi roars out as it was born. The one responsible for bringing the monsters into existence on Remnant kept his smirk as the eyes he took from Salem glowed ominously.

"This… is the beginning… of the end."

A/N: After a bit of struggling, I finally have finished the prologue to the next fan fic of the God Eater Saga.

I want to say that the hardest part when putting this together was how to have it set up, often thinking of how I wanted the chapter to go. The initial idea is start it off with a moment for Isaac Feldman, a prominent character from God Eater 2's Spiral Tree Arc. I also want him to get a good grasp on how the world of Remnant works via the meeting, eventually learning from Raven about the Maidens, but has agreed to look into other situations As the situation deepens. Finally, the biggest part was the reveal of the Aragami appearing on Remnant before causing chaos, and I hoped the music cue I picked set the tone for it. Kind of hypocritical for me, but I have not watched or am watching Attack on Titan, but I do like the soundtrack as it was done by Hiroyuki Sawano, who also did Guilty Crown, Aldnoah Zero, Re:CREATORS and some of the Gundam soundtracks.

Now, this is gonna be a big old rant coming from me, so if you want to skip it as it might not agree with your thoughts and opinions, or if you personally like the character, go ahead and skip it…

FUCK CINDER FALL!

Cinder Fall has, by far, have grown to be the ONE villain I wanted killed off of RWBY, and for good reasons. In the start of the show, like volumes 1-3, she was shown to be mysterious and, at the time, I liked how she was handled. She waited for the perfect opportunity to strike, and took Beacon Academy down. However, interest for her had died down as Volume 4 started, and it would have been THE perfect time to show us a backstory as to why she became who she is, but nope… That didn't happen. Volume 5 has shown us right off the bat that she has Devolved as a character, as she has become power hungry. Volume 5's ending was the perfect opportunity to kill her off. That also didn't happen as she survived and continues to be the Worst Villain of the series. Volume 8… I have a lot to say about her. Watts, one of the more interesting Villains, had pointed out—no, ROASTED her on how she has acted, and that she has went from an intriguing character, to a power-hungry bitch that believes that EVERYTHING should go to her. How did she react? SHE LOCKS HIM IN ATLAS AS FIRES SPREAD, LEAVING HIM TO DIE! Mercury has also pointed out that Cinder does not care about others at all, a statement I agreed with when she betrayed Neo just to get rid of Ruby. Lastly, IS SALEM NOT GOING TO CALL HER OUT ON THE LIES? Cinder had lied to her face by stating that it was Ruby's group that used the last question and that Neo killed the girl when, in fact, IT WAS CINDER WHO USED THE RELIC FOR THE QUESTION AND USED NEO TO KILL RUBY JUST SO SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO DIRTY HER OWN HANDS! I'm sorry to say this, BUT CINDER FALL SERIOUSLY NEED TO DIE!

I'll give points for Hazel and Emerald though, they really have worked to redeem themselves, and I knew it was going to happen. The big man did die, but he went out in a way that I have to give respect for. He gave time for the others to escape, even sacrificing himself to take Salem out of commission for a good amount of time. And it was inevitable for her to switch sides because she realized that Cinder was not all that she seems to be, and went to help the good guys.

All in all, Volume 8 had some of the best and the Worst (CINDER) moments in the show, and I get that there will be two sides, one who loved it and one that hates it. I'm actually indifferent to it as while I still enjoy it, I have to agree that there are certain moments that should have been improved upon.

I hope you guys enjoyed the prologue to the second act of the God Eater Saga. What do you think? Leave a Favorite, Follow and Review.

With that out of the way, I'm BlazefireDrago, signing out. *goes off to plan out how to kill Cinder in the fic*
