Flames On The Ocean

Summary: OC Insert. Daniel Richardson literally has a genie in a bottle. Said genie needs to grant the three wishes of one last human before she is no longer considered a 'middleish' genie. Feeling rather bored, Daniel decides to take a crack at the One Piece world, but instead of a Devil Fruit, he plans on using something a bit more flammable. The world better watch out, because there are storm clouds on the horizon.

1. Travel Plans Decided

Story Start: A World Much Like Ours

Daniel Richardson, a twenty one year old young adult with black hair recently cut short and blue eyes wearing cargo shorts and a loose t shirt took in the large hiker's back pack on his bed, specifically everything in and strapped to said back pack, and then picked up a list as he said "Alright, let's see, twelve pack of water bottles, a canteen filled with more water, three MRE's, bag full of ten different candy bars. One man tent, sleeping bag, compass, bug spray (which had been used immediately before being packed). Two shorts, two jeans, two short sleeve shirts, two long sleeve shirts, thin jacket, heavy jacket, pack of hand and feet warmers each, sunglasses. A travel size bottle each of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Toothbrush, small tube of toothpaste, small box of floss, comb, and small container with five Q-tips. Box of 9mm ammo and the lock pick set, and of course, Flemming Compact Lockbox with all of the cash I'm bringing, can't forget THAT."

Daniel zipped the backpack shut then patted himself as he continued "Both pistols with their holsters (a quick draw of each ensured that the magazines were full), machete, cell phone, ear buds, and multi tool."

Daniel looked at his list one more time before he nodded and said "That should be everything I need. Maybe not everything I want to bring, but it's not like I can bring my TV and gaming consoles with me." Shaking his head, he lifted the pack up so that way it was sitting vertical on the bed before turning around and hoisting the heavy pack onto his back, oofing a bit at the weight (The lockbox alone was thirteen pounds empty) then bouncing a little to get it to settle before tightening the shoulder straps and clicking the two torso straps together before also tightening them a bit.

Once the backpack was settled to Daniel's liking, he glanced over to where there was an old fashioned lamp. Yes, THAT kind of lamp. The lamp had been in Daniel's family for fifteen generations and was the reason why they secretly had such a massive fortune. (Roughly five billion dollars in off shore accounts, not that the IRS knew about most of it thanks to a very smart precaution taken by one of Daniel's ancestors.) Most of that hidden money would be going to Daniel's brother and sister after today, as agreed between the three of them to serve as compensation for the pair not being able to use the lamp.

The reason WHY they wouldn't be able to use the lamp was because the genie inside only needed to grant the wishes of one hundred people before they were 'promoted' to a higher leveled genie and thus no longer would be bound by the Lamp's rules. And guess who lucky number 100 was?

Picking up the lamp, Daniel moved into the middle of his bedroom and rubbed the lamp. A moment later, purple smoke poured out of the lamp, congealing into a purple skinned woman who's braided black hair reached down to her waist. Despite what pop culture would have you think, the woman was NOT wearing Arabian clothes. (Though journals from Daniel's furthest ancestors claimed that she once did) Instead, she was wearing perfectly normal jeans that were well fitted but not snug and a relatively loose T shirt that amusingly enough had a lamp at the bottom of the shirt under the words 'I'm a wish granter, not a miracle worker, there is a difference.'

The woman opened her eyes revealing the vibrant green of her irises and she nodded at Daniel and said "Afternoon Daniel, I take it you're finally ready?"

Daniel nodded back and said "Hey Aenria, and yeah, I am. Sorry it took so long."

Aenria shrugged and said "Hey, you're not the first of your line to wait a few months or more after your 21st birthday before using your three wishes. Your ancestor that first found my lamp took three years to make all three of HIS wishes after all." She then smirked and said "I still find it amusing that he used his third wish to increase the fertility of his line in order to improve the number of wishes you Danielsons can have as a whole. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Samuel Danielson had one hell of a 'long term above all else' mindset."

Daniel nodded and said "And his ancestors thank him for it."

"Indeed." Aenria said before she pointedly looked around and asked "Your family is not here to witness this?"

Daniel shook his head and said "None of them wanted to watch, but we've all given our farewells."

Aenria's brows furrowed but a moment later she visibly decided to move on and said "You of course remember the rules but formality requires me to say them anyways. First, No Wish may disrupt the Natural Order, as in no Wishing someone back from the dead or for a Plague or other Natural Disaster to befall upon any Person, Race, or Country. Second, The Wisher may ONLY have three Wishes and any Compound Wish MUST have all of its components directly related to each other, no wishing to lose three hundred pounds, be able to shoot laser beams out of your eyes, and have super breath. (Like the first time she used that example, Daniel snorted in amusement) Third, while Scrying type Wishes to grant the ability to see into the Past or Future are allowed, no time travel wishes are to be granted, it almost never ends well, both for the Wisher and the surrounding world. Wishes to be Transported to other Realities such as a Fantasy World are however doable. Fourth and Finally, while Wishing for a Species Shift, either Permanent or At Will, is permissible, wishing for Immortality or Ascension to God Hood is NOT allowed. Changes to Long Lived beings like most fantasy iterations of Elves however is allowed, though most Iterations of Death will not be happy with you when you eventually pass on."

Taking a deep breath (not that she actually NEEDED to do something as mundane as breathing), Aenria continued formally "Does the Wisher understand these Four Rules?"

"Yes." Daniel answered with a nod.

Aenria nodded as well and said "Then you may begin declaring your Wish(es)."

Wondering not for the first time how Aenria had managed to make him actually hear the parenthesis in her last word, Daniel took a deep breath of his own before he took out his phone and opened the Notes app. Clearing his throat, he read off "I hereby wish to be granted the ability to use Storm and Cloud Dying Will Flames, along with the instinctive knowledge of how to use said Flames."

Aenria made a swirling gesture with her right hand, purple and red smoke appearing around said hand before she flicked her wrist and the smoke entered Daniel's body. Daniel hissed as it did so, feeling something shift in him on the most deepest of levels and the colors of his irises shifted first to a most vivid purple, then an equally startling red, before returning a moment later to their normal blue.

"It is done." Aenria intoned formally.

Daniel took a moment to get used to the feeling of the Dying Will Flames that now resided in him before he looked down at his phone again and said "I hereby Wish that my body's immune system is at peak performance so that I am immune to ANY poison, toxin, disease, allergen, or mutagen."

Aenria snapped the fingers of her right hand and Daniel's body flared with white light before she nodded and said "It is done. You have One Wish left Wisher."

"Right." Daniel muttered to himself. He glanced at his dresser which held a letter in a sealed envelope that his brother was to take to the family's lawyer informing him to enact his Last Will and Testament that he made three weeks ago. After all, for all intents and purposes, he would technically be Legally Dead in this world since he would no longer be able to interact with it.

Looking back forward, Daniel took a deep breath and clearly intoned "For my Third and Final Wish, I hereby Wish to be transported to a One Piece World that is as close as possible to the Source Material created by Eiichiro Oda, my body changed so that it would be as durable and strong as if I was born there, given the ability to speak, read, and write the languages used in that world, the currency on my person changed to the currency of that world, my compass upgraded to be like an Eternal Log Pose albeit one that can have its target island changed, and finally with the destination of my transport being the Island of Little Garden in the Paradise half of the Grand Line, at the same time and place albeit out of sight as when the Straw Hat Pirates are fighting the members of Baroque Works, specifically when Luffy is being forced to have tea with Miss Golden Week."

Aenria moved both hands this time, putting her hands together with the backs of her fingers touching before she moved her arms like she was opening a pair of sliding doors. As she did so, a line appeared in the air before it widened and a jungle was seen through a shimmering plane of energy.

Stepping to the side so that way she was visible again, Aenria gestured and said "All you must do for your Final Wish to be granted is to step through."

Daniel nodded and said "Understood. Farewell Aenria."

"Farewell Daniel Richardson, may your travels be fulfilling." Aenria stated.

Daniel took in one final deep breath before he stiffened his shoulders and walked through the portal. Unseen by him, as he moved through the portal Aenria's lamp dissolved into purple smoke and as soon as she pushed the portal closed from the side she vanished in purple smoke as well.

Scene Change: Little Garden, A One Piece Universe

Daniel came out of the portal behind a relatively wide tree. Glancing around it, he spotted Zoro, Nami, and Vivi trapped in Mr. 3's massive candle creation, the giant bowl of the construct resting just over their heads rather than on the giant pillar it had originally been created on. Another glance showed Luffy sitting on a picnic blanket opposite Miss Golden Week having tea.

"Right then." Daniel muttered to himself as he stepped back and took off his backpack, resting it against the trunk of the tree he was behind. Then he stepped around the tree and cupped his hand. After firmly locking what he wanted to do in his mind, red Storm flames erupted in his hand and before anyone could realize he was there he wound up then threw the flames like a fast ball from Roger "Rocket" Clemens at the giant bowl of the Wax Construct.

With such a large target, Daniel had absolutely no chance of missing and the moment the fireball slammed into the candelabra it immediately went up in flames, burning so brightly the whole surrounding area lost all color but red. Five seconds later, the flames abruptly went out leaving the perfectly fine Nami, Zoro, and Vivi looking down at their limbs in surprise. Well, after the pair of girls realized that they weren't ACTUALLY on fire and stopped screaming in fear anyway. Heck, even their clothes were fine, stripped completely of the wax that had been clinging to them but otherwise undamaged.

"WHAT THE?! WHO DID THAT?!" Mr. 3 asked as he desperately looked around the clearing before his gaze landed on Daniel and he snarled "You! You're the one who destroyed my artwork aren't you?!"

Luffy looked over from the picnic blanket, a forced look of uninterest in his eyes while the rest of the Straw Hats and the pair of giants studied the new figure in confusion. Daniel meanwhile idly scratched at his scalp with his left hand as he said "You're a real genius aren't you?"

Mr. 3 growled and wax began forming over his limbs as he said "I don't know who you are, but you have officially placed yourself on my kill list."

"Yeah, good luck with that." Daniel said before he drew his right pistol and fired. There was a flash of purple light as Cloud Flame infused bullet shot across the distance seperating the pair. Then there was a cloud of mist just below Mr. 3's elbow and his right forearm and hand was thrown away from him to land ten feet away, the bullet having blown through the still permeable wax like it wasn't even there.

There was stunned silence for brief moment before Mr. 3 gripped at his elbow with a roar of pain and dropped down onto his knees.

With the wax man incapacitated for the moment, Daniel drew his left pistol and lined up on the Mr. 5/Miss Valentine pair, this time firing a pair of Flameless rounds. Miss Valentine managed to avoid being hit by reducing her weight and escaping up into the sky while Mr. 5 took a round to the outside of his right bicep as he tried to use an explosion from his right foot to attempt to dodge. Thankfully for him the round was through and through but that limb was still in severe danger of infection given the local environment.

Not done yet, Daniel took three quick steps to line up on Miss Golden Week who paled in terror. That round was a Flame bullet construct that flashed red in the air and when it caught the rim of her hat the headwear immediately burned to ash and Daniel said "If you don't end your little color trap on Straw Hat my next round will be a body shot."

Miss Golden Week quickly stood up but before she actually reached Luffy Miss Valentine shouted from overhead "DIE YOU BASTARD! 10,000 KILO PRESS!"

Without even looking, Daniel dove forward into a roll, causing Miss Valentine to miss and instead leave a crater in the ground. Coming up in a crouch, Daniel spun around and fired at the lemon hatted assassin with his right pistol. There was another flash of red light and when Miss Valentine's steel parasol intercepted the Flame Bullet it immediately caught fire.

"Damnit!" Miss Valentine shouted as she dropped her ruined tool before the flames consuming it could reach her hand even as she lowered her weight to five kilos and sprinted at Daniel, fist raised to try to punch him out.

She was surprised when Daniel actually dropped his pistols and leapt up from his crouch to meet her punch with one of his own. As he did so, his body erupted in Purple Flames and when her fist arrived he wove out of the way before slamming his burning fist into her torso. Spit was flung out of Miss Valentine's mouth even as her body was hurled away from Daniel and into the woods, slamming into the trunk of one of the trees twenty feet in.

Daniel leaned down to pick up his pistols only to hear the click of a revolver hammer being cocked as Mr. 5 shouted "DAMN YOU!"

Out of pure reflex, Daniel threw his left hand in the direction of Mr. 5 and a six foot wide wall of Storm Flames flew out of his palm. The air bullet fired by the bomb man hit the Storm Flames and detonated even as the Flames kept moving forward and Mr. 5 barely managed to get out of their way.

Quickly grabbing his pistols, Daniel turned his downwards motion into another roll and quickly moved back into a standing position, pistols aimed at Mr. 5 who quickly had his revolver pointed at Daniel again. There was a tense standoff between the pair, one that lasted for thirty seconds only to be broken as Usopp suddenly drew his slingshot and fired a Lead Star at Miss Golden Week who had been trying to sneak up on Daniel, knocking her out.

That interruption was the signal for the pair of gun men and they both fired their weapons. Mr. 5's air bullet slammed into Daniel's still burning torso and exploded throwing him backwards even as Daniel's regular metal rounds went through Mr. 5's torso dropping him.

Daniel quickly got back up to his feet again but before he could line up a shot on Mr. 5 again his vision was filled with white. Purple Cloud flames turning Storm Red, Daniel burned the wax wave Mr. 3 had launched at him. By the time his vision had cleared though, the clearing was free of any and all Baroque Works agents, even Miss Valentine was gone from where she had been slumped against the tree she had hit.

Flames around his body extinguishing, Daniel sighed as he holstered his weapons. A moment later, his eyes widened as he had a thought and he quickly sprinted to the tree he had appeared from. He let out a sound of relief when he saw that his back pack was still where he had left it and after a quick check to be sure Mr. 5 hadn't spat on it on the way out, picked it up and hoisted it on his back. Daniel was PRETTY SURE the bomb man wouldn't have had time to breathe on his pack as he escaped, and even if he did, only the outside facing part of the bag would explode so it should be safe to carry. And there wasn't any paint on it so Miss Golden Week hadn't tampered with it either.

When Daniel came back around the tree into the clearing, it was to the sight of Usopp cleaning off the back of Luffy's vest with a cleaning solution while the rest of the Straw Hats and the pair of giants were warily looking at the gunman.

Feeling like a certain silver haired cyclops, Daniel raised his right hand up and smiled as he said "Yo."

"Uh, hi." Nami said, giving a slight wave back before she said "Uh, not to sound ungrateful for the help just now, we really do appreciate it, but who are you?"

"Names Daniel Richardson, I'm a Grand Line Native." Daniel said, idly tightening the straps of his back pack as he did so.

"Un huh, I see, and uh, what made you decide to help us?" Nami asked.

Daniel pointed at Vivi who stiffened, which only got worse as he said "Well the way I see it, anyone attacking Alabasta's Missing Princess has to be the bad guys given rumor has it she's one of the best examples of Royalty in the Grand Line."

Vivi blushed a bit at that before she said "Thank you Mr. Richardson." Idly petting Carue when the big duck reached her side and began checking her over, she continued "May I ask how you came to be on Little Garden? I apologize, but I must admit that the coincidence of you being here at the right time to aid us seems a bit suspicious."

Daniel shrugged and said "My boat got wrecked in a bigger storm than usual for this section of Paradise and I wound up washed on the shore." Patting the side of his pack, he continued "Luckily I managed to reach the island with my supplies intact."

"That is pretty lucky, especially for a Devil Fruit user like you." Usopp said.

"Oh, I'm not a Devil Fruit user." Daniel said with a grin.

"EH?! But all of that fire you were throwing around earlier and what you did with your bullets, what else could that have been?" Nami asked.

Daniel's grin grew a bit as he said "On my island we have this ability called Dying Will Flames. The full explanation would probably leave you more confused than you are now but short version is that they're a manifestation of a person's soul. There's seven types, Sky, Storm, Rain, Sun, Lightning, Mist, and Cloud, and their abilities are respectively Harmony, Disintegration, Tranquility, Activation, Hardening, Construction, and Propagation. I've got Storm and Cloud Flames."

"COOL! Hey, join my crew!" Luffy shouted, suddenly right in front of Daniel who leaned back in surprise at the abrupt violation of his personal space.

"Luffy! Don't go asking random people just to join us!" Nami shouted with shark teeth.

"But he's got such a cool ability! And besides, he saved us!" Luffy said like that was all that was needed. And in his mind, it probably was.

Nami growled and started stomping over but paused as Daniel said "Um, I'm not sure about joining your crew, we only just met after all, but since my boat was wrecked, I would really appreciate it if I could get off this island on your ship, maybe travel with you guys until I reach an island with a proper shipyard like Water 7. Don't worry though, I can pay for passage!"

Nami's eyes gained Beri symbols as she asked "Oh, and how much are you offering to pay for a spot on our ship?"

"Well," Daniel said, taking off his backpack and opening the zipper. He pulled out his lock box and used the bulk of his back pack to hide the slides from everyone's view as he put in the three digit combination. Pulling out one of the stacks of bills, he quickly thumbed it, counting the number of bills before he closed the lock box and put it back into his pack and the pack back on his back. Once it was back in place, Daniel held out the stack of bills to Nami and asked "This is one million Beris, will that do?"

Nami swiped the bills from Daniel's hand so fast it was like they teleported into her own as she happily said "Glad to have you, Welcome Aboard!"

'Well, that was easy.' Daniel thought to himself in amusement. He then stiffened as he heard someone say behind him "So, we're giving a lift to someone else? Aah, it's such a shame they're not another beauty like Dear Vivi. Oh well, at least they're a paying customer."

Turning around, Daniel saw Sanji come strolling into the clearing, hands in his pocket and a lit cigarette in his mouth.

"Sanji, where have you been?!" Nami asked.

"Going by the wax on his shoes, I'd say he was wherever that Wax user had set up base." Daniel said. Everyone followed his gaze and sure enough, there was a rim of wax along where the soles of Sanji's shoes met the fabric that made up the top.

"Yeah, I found this strange Wax building in the jungle that was apparently Baroques Works' base of operations here. There was a Den Den Mushi there and I had a rather interesting conversation with the person who called while I was there." Sanji said, idly taking in a draw of his cigarette and blowing the smoke out of the side of his mouth before explaining what had transpired.

Daniel kept one ear on the conversation even as he used his Cloud flames to Propagate a nervous Dorry's Healing, causing his wound to rapidly close shut. Once he was taken care of, Daniel did the same to Broggy's hands and the pair were understandably grateful.

Daniel had just finished with Broggy as Vivi said "You mean a little while ago you spoke with Mr. Zero?"

"That's right. He thought I was Mr. 3." Sanji said with a nod.

"And you told him we were all dead!?" The princess asked.

"That's what I told him." Sanji confirmed.

Daniel looked down from Broggy's right wrist as Usopp clenched his fists and said "Baroque Works is off our tail, but we're still stuck on this island!"

Sanji held up an Eternal Pose and asked "We're stuck? What's to keep us here, now that we have this?"

There was shock among the Straw Hats as they all (but Zoro) shouted "THE ETERNL POSE TO ALABASTA?! YOU FOUND IT! NOW WE CAN GO!"

As Vivi hugged Sanji thanking him, and the cook's visible eye turned to a heart, Daniel quickly Propagated his leg muscles to leap up to Broggy's shoulder. Broggy looked at him in confusion but obligingly turned his head so that his ear was pointed at Daniel when the gun man tapped his own ear.

Broggy stiffened in shock at what Daniel first said before he turned contemplative as the gunman continued speaking. When Daniel finished saying his piece, Broggy turned his head again so that way he could see Daniel and nodded. At Dorry's confused look, Broggy waved him off and mouthed 'Later'. Dorry still looked confused but shrugged.

A moment later, Daniel slid down Broggy's arm and landed on the ground as he said "It's great that we've got an Eternal Log Pose to the Princess' home island but I'm afraid we can't go straight there."

"WHAT?! WHY NOT?!" Vivi asked with anger in her eyes. Anger that the rest of the Straw Hats had, even Zoro looking at Daniel with annoyance.

Holding his hands up, Daniel said "Easy there Princess, I promise there's a damn good reason for this, and it won't take too much time out of the journey to Alabasta, shouldn't be no more than half a day or so." When everyone had calmed down, Daniel once more took off his back pack and unzipped it as he said "The reason why we can't go straight to Alabasta is because this is a prehistoric island which means it has diseases that more 'modern' islands haven't seen in centuries, which in turn means that our bodies' immune systems have no idea how to fight them."

Grabbing what he needed, Daniel zipped his back pack closed and put it on his back before standing as he continued "While any food from this island will probably be safe so long as it's prepared properly, there's no way to make the air we've been breathing safe. Because of this, we need to find an island with doctors who will have antibiotics to help our bodies fight off anything we've breathed in. Thankfully, there's an island with VERY good doctors on it on the way to Alabasta."

Holding up a SECOND Eternal Pose, Daniel said "This is an Eternal Pose set for Drum Island. It's only a few days out from Little Garden. We just need to stop there for a few hours to get a few shots for all of us then we can continue on to Alabasta." Daniel then put on a musing look as he glanced at the gathered crew and said "It might be a good idea to see if you can convince a Doctor to join your crew as well. No offense, but none of you look like you're medically trained."

"Well, you're right in that we don't have a Doctor on the crew." Nami mused before she glanced at Vivi then back at Daniel and said "But we really can't delay in getting Vivi back home. We need to stop Baroque Works from tearing her nation apart."

"And what good is getting her there at full speed if you're just delivering her dead body to her father?" Daniel asked bluntly with a raised eyebrow.

All of the normal sized humans recoiled as if struck, Carue letting out a distressed squawk while Broggy leaned over to Dorry and 'quietly' said "Wow, talk about harsh."

Dorry shrugged and at the same voice level said "He does have a point though."

"True." Broggy admitted.

"H-hang on a minute." Usopp said, raising a hand then pointing it at Daniel as he continued "You just healed Masters Broggy and Dorry with those weird Flames of yours, can't you just do the same if one of us gets sick?!"

Daniel shrugged and said "If you want to take the chance of me accidentally boiling your blood I SUPPOSE I could try to target something on the microscopic level."

Usopp let out a strangled 'URK!' while Nami and Vivi paled. Zoro and Sanji both grimaced at that.

Luffy finally spoke up at that point, frowning slightly as he said "I don't really understand all of this, but if you say we have to go to this Drum place first to make sure everyone's safe then I guess we'll go. You said it's on the way right?"

Daniel nodded and said "That's right. Here, let me show you. Sanji, if I could have the Eternal Pose for Alabasta please."

"Uh, sure." Sanji said, walking it over.

Once Daniel held it in his free hand, he held the two Eternal Poses side by side and said "See, very little if any difference in the way they're pointing."

Nami walked over and after studying the Eternal Poses sighed and said "He's right Luffy, we'd probably enter Drum Island's area of climate control even if we DIDN'T stop there on our way to Alabasta."

Luffy then shrugged and said "Then what's the problem? We stop for an hour to get these shot thingies, get some Meat while we're there then keep going."

Most of the Straw Hats sighed while Zoro smirked and said "It seems the Captain's spoken, so why are we just standing around here for? Let's get going."

As the Straw Hats said their good byes to Dorry and Broggy then walked towards the ship, Nami said lightly by Daniel's side "You know, it's awfully convenient that you just HAPPENED to have an Eternal Pose for Drum Island in that back pack of yours."

"If it ONLY pointed at Drum Island then you'd be right." Daniel said with a smirk.

Nami frowned and said "I thought Eternal Poses pointed at only one island all the time. It's why they're called ETERNAL poses."

Daniel nodded and said "Yeah, but you see, this pose is special. I managed to run across a treasure hunting Paramecia Devil Fruit user who said his fruit was the Locate Locate fruit. He could LITERALLLY find ANYTHING he wanted, so long as it actually existed of course, no matter how far away it was."

"Wow, that's a REALLY handy ability!" Nami said in amazement with wide eyes.

"Yeah, I asked him why he hadn't used it to find the One Piece yet when I met him and he said that there were far less bothersome treasures that he could find in this world without having to fight off Pirates and the Marines and I'll admit he's got a point there. Anyways, I paid him a good amount of money to modify the Eternal Pose I had made for my home island so now it can 'lock on' to any island I want."

Nami eyed the Adjustable Eternal Pose (AEP) with the hunger only a Navigator on the Grand Line could have and a moment later, she said "I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but how much do you want for that?"

Daniel laughed and said "I paid twenty million Beris for it, so at least that much."

"TWENTY MILLION!" Nami said in horror, hand actually going to her heart.

Daniel shrugged and said "Hey, I don't mind you using it while I'm with you guys, and who knows, maybe by the time we reach a ship wright island that'll just be chump change for you."

"How the hell did YOU manage to have that much to pay him with?! I thought you were just some guy traveling the ocean alone that got ship wrecked!" Nami asked incredulously.

Daniel smirked, pulled out his right pistol and ejected the bullet in the chamber. Holding the bullet in his open palm so that Nami could see, he said "Imagine that this is a thousand Beri bill." The next moment, there was a flash of purple Cloud Flames and there were now FIVE bullets in his palm.

"Th-that's, that's so unfair!" Nami said, actually weeping tears of frustrated envy as she asked "You mean you can just make money whenever you want?!"

"If you ignore the fact that every copied bill is EXACTLY the same, then pretty much, yeah." Daniel said, dropping the clone bullets into one of his cargo shorts pockets while putting the 'real' bullet back into his pistol and holstering it.

"Hey, hey! Can you do that with MEAT?!" Luffy asked, eagerly bouncing over with stars in his eyes.

"Yeeeah?" Daniel said in amusement.

Luffy threw his arms up and shouted "WOOOH! Best Crewmate EVER!"

Daniel snorted and said "I'm not part of your crew Straw Hat, just hitching a ride until I can get another boat of my own."

"Nah unh, you're Nakama now!" Luffy said shaking his head as he did so with a resolute look in his eyes.

Nami put an arm around Daniel's shoulder with a wistful grin and said "Don't bother fighting it, for this kind of thing he doesn't know the meaning of the word 'No'."

"He refused my refusal." Sanji said with a nod.

"He held my swords for ransom." Zoro said in agreement.

"He," Usopp said raising his finger, then paused before he lowered it and said "Actually, he didn't do anything with me."

"Lucky you." Nami, Zorro, and Sanji all said together.

Daniel snickered at that, which was imitated by Vivi giggling with a hand to her mouth.

When the Straw Hats plus three (Couldn't forget Carue!) reached the ship, it was to the sight of a pair of dead animals that Zoro and Sanji both started claiming was bigger than the other.

Daniel rolled his eyes at that even as he once more Propagated his leg muscles and leapt aboard the Going Merry then said "Sanji! Remember what I said about prehistoric diseases when preparing all of that!"

"Don't worry! I'll make sure all of its cooked long enough to kill all of the harmful germs in it." Sanji called back before he went right back to his argument with Zoro.

As the rest of the Straw Hats plus Vivi and Carue came aboard, Daniel put his back pack on the deck and dug out the bag of candy bars as he said "Alright guys, I've got one rule for you all. I'm willing to Propagate one of these whenever you guys want one, but if you eat one of the originals then there is going to be an ass kicking so bad you'll touch the clouds before you come back down to the ship, and yes, I CAN hit that hard thanks to my Cloud Flames. SO, am I clear?"

"Transparently." Usopp said quickly while Vivi and Nami both nodded.

Daniel stared at Luffy REALLY hard until he raised both hands and said "Get Daniel if you want candy bar, got it."

"Good, I'm glad we've got that taken care of." Daniel said before he pulled out one of the candy bars, a Whatchamacallit, copied the candy bar, dropped the original back into the bag then tore off the copied wrapper top with his teeth and took a bite out of the Propagated candy bar as he went into the kitchen to put the bag in the small freezer.

Once the Merry's hold held all of the meat from Zoro and Sanji's hunting competition that it could, she weighed anchor and began moving down the river she had been moored in. Heading east, they soon reached the edge of the island and Luffy said "Hey look, the giants are seeing us off!"

With Dorry standing on the Merry's Port side and Broggy on the Starboard, Daniel was reminded of the pair of giant statues bracketing the waterfall at the end of the Fellowship of the Ring movie. The pair were staring out into the ocean as the Merry approached.

"There's one big reason that you little people..." Broggy started and Dorry finished "can't reach the next island."

"What?" Nami asked.

"You risked your lives to defend our honor." Dorry continued.

"Now no matter what..." Broggy

"We will allow no enemy to trample on our friends' pride!" Dorry

"Have faith in us, and sail straight ahead! No matter what happens, sail straight ahead!" Broggy finished.

"Okay." Zoro and Luffy said together while Nami asked "What are they talking about?"

Daniel though shook his head and hopped up on the Merry's figure head and shouted up to the giants "DORRY, BROGGY! A WARRIOR'S WEAPONS ARE THEIR SOULS, AND THUS SHOULD BE KEPT INTACT FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE! LEAVE THIS TO ME!"

Daniel's shout had the giants actually look down at the ship as it passed them in surprise and Broggy asked "You know what awaits you?"

Daniel grinned and said "This is the Grand Line, something that keeps people from leaving the island but that you two believe you can prevent from interfering with our departure from the shore? It's GOT to be some kind of massive animal." Daniel raised his hands up to the sky and a large ball of fire made out of red Storm Flames three feet wide began to burn in them as purple Cloud Flames licked at his legs.

As a massive bulge began raising in the water, Daniel's grin turned absolutely vicious as he continued "And even creatures of the deep should fear the Flames of Mankind's Resolve."

As the Island Eater broke the surface of the water with a massive roar, Daniel leapt up in the air high enough to clear the Going Merry's mast by thirty feet and the mass of Storm Flames in his hands went from three feet wide to twenty as Daniel shouted "FRY IN HELL YOU GIANT FISH STICK!"

Daniel threw the flames in his hands hard enough the momentum made him do a front flip. As he fell back to the Going Merry, landing on Crow's Nest with bent knees that still had reinforcing Cloud Flames licking at them, the massive ball of Storm Flames slammed into the even more massive gold fish's skin at the top of the mouth and it BURNED.

Letting out a piercing roar of pain as the Storm Flames rapidly consumed its form, the Island Eater rapidly dove back into the ocean trying to get away from the pain of its body burning. Everyone aboard the Going Merry and the pair of giants on the shore could still see red light though even underwater. Daniel dropped back onto the top deck with a nod of satisfaction as he dusted his hands off of each other and said "Well, I don't think THAT particular sea monster will be bothering travelers anymore."

"Dude, are your Storm Flames burning UNDERWATER?!" Usopp asked as he stared with wide eyes at the turbulent water that continued shining red for ten more seconds before finally dimming back to their normal blue.

Daniel scoffed and said "What do Flames of Disintegration care for water? They will burn whatever they set out to burn and damn anyone or thing that says otherwise."

"So scary." Usopp and Nami said together with shudders.

Luffy meanwhile laughed as he said "Shishishi, I found such a cool new crewmate!"

"His choice in blades is lacking though." Zoro said, giving Daniel's machete a contemptuous look.

Daniel caught the look and snorted then drew said Machete which erupted in purple Cloud Flames as he said "I'm pretty sure I can do more damage with this one blade then you can with your three Zoro." Daniel then grinned as he asked "Or are you telling me that you're NOT compensating for something by using one more than most people would think is wise?"

Sanji cackled with delight even as Zoro drew one of his swords and shouted "YOU WANT TO SAY THAT TO MY FACE YOU CRAPPY GUNMAN?!"

As the Merry continued out to sea and Daniel continued to rile Zoro up to the amusement of the rest of the crew, back on shore, Dorry looked over at Broggy and asked "So what DID the gunman tell you?"

Broggy rested the shaft of his axe on his shoulder as he said "Oh, he said that maybe the reason why we kept having nothing but draws in our fight for so long was that maybe Elbaf did not WANT one of us to kill the other and maybe we should consider returning home. After all, we've been at this for decades already so surely if it was the will of Elbaf one of us would have won already right?"

Dorry's expression turned contemplative as he said "We have been at this for a long time." The middle volcano erupted at that point in time and the pair of giants turned to look at it for a moment. Rubbing at his chin, Dorry looked back at Broggy and asked "One more bout, and if it's a draw again, we go home?"

Broggy grinned and said "Sounds good to me."
