The Last Daughter of Krypton

Summary: This is the story of KlairEl (pronounced Ka-lare-el) of Krypton. Secondborn child, firstborn daughter, to Jor-El and LauRa-El of Krypton. Heir apparent to the house of Ra through mother LauRa-El. The younger twin of Kal-El of Krypton the firstborn child and son to Jor-El and LauRa-El of Kryton. You should know his story by now but how would that story be changed by having a younger twin sister.

(Remember Earth is a primitive planet compared to Krypton and the majority of the Galaxies so Earth education is easier to master since most of it is considered the bare beginners' basics on other planets. Kryptonians also make sure that they are always caught up on Earth so when they go there they can blend in since Earth is so primitive. Earth is the main vacation spot for most Kryptonians. So while this might seem a lot for someone born and raised on Earth it is completely normal for a Kryptonian teenager to know all this stuff and considered it basic knowledge. Also, Kryptonians have advanced brains compared to Humans so they can learn faster and retain more than humans and their brains are naturally organized better and all Kryptonians have almost a perfect memory and recall. This is what Kal-El will start to learn when Jor-El starts his training. However, Kryptonains usually grow up learning this stuff from almost birth. She will still be a child just a more mature and very intelligent and extremely well-educated child. This is everything I think an heir would need to know to become a good head of house. I put way too much thought into my stories sorry. Kryptonians are the most advanced race in their galaxy after all. Also, this story will be mostly Smallville in the Avengers universe with things from the movie Man of Steel in it.)

Prolog

A galaxy far from Earth is where our story starts. On an icy planet named Krypton under the red sun Rao. There lived a race of human-like beings called Kryptonians. Long ago this race sent its people out into the stars to explore and grow their civilization but in end, their people were called back and artificial population control was established. This was the start of a long road of bad decisions that would eventually lead to an all-out civil war between General Dru-Zod (known as Zod) and the current ruling council of Krypton. That war would lead to the destruction of their homeworld and the Kryptonian race would be considered extinct. A Scientist named Jor-El foresaw the coming events and took certain steps to ensure the survival of his children when the ruling council denied his claims and refused to evacuate the planet.

Jor-El, the current Lord of the house of El, and his wife LauRa-El, second in line for the Lady of the house of Ra, built two specialized spaceships that would carry their infant children to the planet Earth. There the children would harness the radiation and power of the yellow sun and would have amazing abilities but most of all they would be safe from the destruction of Krypton. The Kryptonian race would live on through them. The ships would also carry the memories and knowledge of both parents in the form of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.)to help guide their children throughout their lives. Each A.I. would be linked to one of the children, Jor-El to Kal-El, LauRa-El to KlairEl.

Kal-El is the heir to the House of El and would grow up to become the Lord of the House of El while with the destruction of Krypton and everyone on it KlairEl would become the heir of the house of Ra until her 15th year where she will become the Lady of the House of Ra. Both of those roles would require training and education that only their parents would be able to provide. While Krypton might be gone the galaxy would honor what those titles meant and the children would need to be ready if they ever decided to travel off of Earth.

Kal-El would not start his training until around his 15th or 16th year due to Jor-El wanting him to grow up as a human to fulfill the destiny he has planned for him. KlairEl will receive the limited ancestral genetic information download, kind of like being born with the knowledge of her ancestors. Now this will not download everything into the heir's mind just the basics which would be the equivalent of a Kryptonian Highschool degree and prepare the heir for taking up the Head of House position in the House of Ra. Luckily the trip to Earth would take 3 years, this would be plenty of time for the information to settle into her mind.

A Kryptonian House had to be over 1,000 years old before this form of inheritance was biologically unlocked for their heir. This form of knowledge inheritance is a form of a family's prestige. The child would usually receive it on their 15th yearly cycle when they took up their heirship. In emergencies where there is only one living member of the family, the download comes early to ensure the survival of the family line. The GKD (genetic knowledge download) will rewrite how the brain is wired to help absorb the knowledge more effectively and essentially make the child mature enough to handle the responsibilities. Since Kryptonians finish their youth training on their 15th year and are ready for an apprenticeship this was mostly a refresher and jump into adulthood. The House of Ra is 1,250 years old and the House of El is only 850 years old.

Since KlairEl is so young she would not remember what not having the download was like so she would not need an adjustment period, it would just be normal for her to know all of this. She would still be a child having to learn things for herself that weren't taught in the download and all that. She would just have a head start from everyone else and be more mature from an early age. Of course, a headstart for a Kryptonian would be considered a genius on Earth due to the lite-years of knowledge separating the two species. With access to this knowledge, KlairEl could help Earth avoid a lot of the problems that led to Krypton's destruction before they even became a problem.

Jor-El's A.I. would stay inactive in Kal-El's ship until it was time for Kal-El's training but LauRa-El did not agree with this. Upon arriving on Earth and the ship being opened KlairEl's ship would deconstruct itself into the form of a metal bracelet with the house of Ra symbol and motto written in Kryptonian around KlairEl's wrist. (The symbol is a Gem shape with a Triangle inside it then a diamond inside the triangle. The motto is We Protect Our Own We Are Survivors) While the leftover materials of the ship would be absorbed into KlairEl's skin as her body's cells adapted to the yellow sun allowing for the metal to become a part of her biology. This would not hurt KlairEl in any way and would strengthen her skin and give her protection from red, silver, black, gold, and blue kryptonite as long as they are not ingested or injected into the bloodstream. Green Kryptonite still has the same effect on her. The bracelet would also grow with KlairEl and could not be taken off. Inside the bracelet is the memory crystal with LauRa-El's A.I. This would give LauRa-EL direct access to her daughter as she grew up and she would be able to commune with KlairEl through a mental link that connected the two.

Jor-El had chosen the bloodline of Hiram Kent to be the family that raised the twins due to the great generosity that Hiram had shown him in his youth. The family also lived close to the Kawaiche caves which doubled as a temporary base for the House of El when they were on Earth. The caves had a limited A.I. crystal system that would look like normal crystals if a human ever discovered them. It also held a portal that would take you to the Arctic Tundra, where a Kryptonian Fortress of Knowledge once stood. When the Kryptonians were called back home so long ago it was the House of El that had settled on Earth. They had chosen that instead of destroying the fortress they would combine the terraforming technology that would be hidden under the ice with their crystal memory technology. This created three elemental stones that when combined would form a knowledge crystal. When taken back to the place where the fortress once stood the crystal would be activated and the fortress would be remade with the terraforming technology.

Any Kryptoian could unite the stones and make the fortress so the stones were hidden around the world to ensure that only a descendant from the house of El would unite them.

Finally, the day had come where the couple would have to say goodbye to their children. Unknown to LauRa-El, Jor-El had stolen the genetic material crystal that housed all the DNA of all past Kryptonians and encoded the information into their children's DNA code. KlairEl carried the female's code while Kal-El carried the male's code. This way Krypton would be reborn in the future and their race would live on.
