A/N: Just a little one-shot that came to mind. Inspired by the song Perfect by Ed Sheeran. Usually, I'm not a fan of today's music, but this one is a piece of gold. Moonstar is a human who was given a Cybertronian name to clear that up. Enjoy. Bayverse AU. Please read and review.

Moonstar rustled her curly hair, letting the curls fall into place. She turned to her one of her outfits she didn't wear often. She slipped on the black leggings before putting on the black, leather skirt that went just above her knees. She put on a black shirt that matched. Bright colors were never really her thing, but darker colors were. Black especially. Slipping on black, leather boots, she looked at herself in the mirror, smiling.

She didn't wear makeup. She had no need of it. She enjoyed how she looked naturally, not needing a beauty product to change that. Moonstar walked out of her bedroom, going down the stairs. Her sparkmate, Optimus Prime, should be home soon. She knew he had been feeling down recently. She would often see him looking sad. He always tried to hide it, but he couldn't from the woman. She knew his past haunted him a lot, as well as everything that has happened to him.

Going outside, Moonstar hooked up her phone, getting their song ready. The one that was so special to them both. It was one they could slow dance to, Moonstar's favorite type of dance. Well, the only dance she really did. She turned on the fairy lights that she hung up in the backyard. She heard the semi-truck pull up, grinning as she waited for him.

Optimus pulled into the driveway, turning off his engine. He activated his human holoform, going inside. He noticed it was quiet.

"Moonstar, I'm home," Optimus called into the house. No response. Strange. Moonstar was always there to greet him. "Moonstar?"

The Prime went to their bedroom, not seeing his mate. He went back down the stairs and into the kitchen. No Moonstar. But he did notice the light from the glass sliding door leading to the backyard. Sliding the door open, he stepped out and gasped. The soft light hitting his mate made her look so beautiful. Stunning.

"Hey babe," Moonstar greeted, going up to him and giving him a kiss. "You should give me the real you. Not human you."

The holoform switched to the mech's real form. Moonstar moved her arms around his shoulders and neck, bringing him closer to her. Optimus swallowed, servos going to her waist. Moonstar leaned up to kiss the taller mech again.

Optimus leaned into the kiss, loving her so much. The woman pulled back, quickly playing the song before she pulled the Prime out onto the grass. Optimus followed, his servos never leaving her waist. He smiled, knowing the song too well. He started to sway with her, slow dancing.

"What brought this on, my love?" Optimus asked.

"Just felt like it," said Moonstar with a shrug. She leaned her head on his chest, listening to his spark as they moved. "I love you Optimus. You're so perfect to me."

"I love you as well, my Moonstar," Optimus said, resting his chin on her head. Their song was on a loop, letting it repeat as they just danced.

Moonstar loved feeling her mate hold her close. It wasn't often they got to do this, but each time was perfect. Last time, she had worn her black to silver gradient dress. But tonight, this night felt more special. She didn't know why. Just being in his arms, it was so perfect. He was perfect.

Moonstar loved the Prime more than life. He had become her life, kept her living. He was her entire world. And she knew Optimus felt the same. They would be lost if they ever lost the other.

Optimus kissed the top of her head, holding it there. He picked her up, getting a giggle. He spun a bit, holding Moonstar close to his body. He turned to the swinging bench they had, laying down on it with Moonstar on top of him. The woman snuggled in closer to his warmth. The night was warm, but she loved just feeling him.

She moved forward and kissed him deeply again. Optimus kissed back, glossa entering her mouth. Moonstar moaned, moving her tongue across his glossa. After a few minutes, she pulled away and laid down her head again on his chest, just letting him hold her close.

"I love you," Optimus whispered.

"I love you more," said Moonstar.

The two drifted off into recharge, letting their song lull them into recharge. The stars shined above them, twinkling as if to approve of them. The two of them were perfect together. And no one could separate them. Their love was too strong to break or end.
