Thrull was here. In our treehouse.

If I wasn't already out of breath from running, I would've gasped. Sweat dripped from my hands as my eyes widened.

He towered over me, his perfumey smell suffocating my nostrils. I met his gaze, his orange eyes boring into mine. I took a deep breath, wishing for my heart to stop pounding so uncontrollably. For real, I thought it was going to pump right out of my chest!

"Oh, hey Thrull!" I said, realizing how forced it sounded, "What-I mean why did you decide to come over? It's not exactly a great time right now, you know?"

"Where is The Bestiary?" Thrull boomed, seeing right through me, "I know you were at the tree last night. Where is it?"

I flinched as Thrull marched toward me, his hand raised into a fist of pure rage.

"T-That thing? We got bored of it. We threw it away!" I lied, my voice cracking under the stress. I could hear my friends laughing from outside. I-I have to warn them. I have to protect them.

"If you don't tell me where it is, Jack. I'm going to-"

Thrull scooped up one of my action hero toys from off the shelf, crushing it under his thumb like it was made of putty. The plastic broke with a quiet snap.

"You're going to destroy my action figures?" I asked, probably in too much shock to fully comprehend his threat.

"No! I'm going to destroy you and your friends!" roared my ex-friend.

I trembled. My knees felt like Jell-O. Everything was happening too quickly. I'd only just found out that Thrull- the totally epic and super cool Thrull- was using me all along, just to resurrect Rezzoch. And it was all my fault because I'm the one who completed the bestiary.

"I'm not going down without a fight," I spat, reaching back for my trusty bat.

In lightning fast speed, Thrull grabbed my arm and shoved me back toward the wall, the shelves next to me shaking slightly from the force. A couple of my action figures clattered to the ground, the metal and plastic loud against the wooden floor.

"Aw, Jack, did you break something? Stop being clumsy!" June shouted from outside, having heard the loud noise. I knew she was teasing, and had I not been fighting Thrull, I would've complained about not being that clumsy.

"Even if you won't break, I'm sure your friends will tell me where the bestiary is," Thrull said to me, his throaty voice barely a whisper, but being one of his most menacing threats yet.

"JUNE!" I screamed at the top of my lungs before Thrull could stop me, "RUN! GET OUT OF HERE! IT'S THRULL! HE-"

I was cut off as Thrull planted his huge hand over my mouth harshly. I struggled to breathe, tears forming in my eyes as I squirmed. Deep down I knew it- I stood no chance against Thrull.

"JACK?" I recognized Quint's high-pitched voice screaming my name. "Hang on, buddy! We're not leaving you!"

No… No! No! NO! Get out of here! Don't be caught and hurt in all this!

Thrull stepped in the way of the window, blocking my view off my friends who had only a few seconds ago been joking around by Big Mama. He threw me to the floor, and I felt a searing pain in my shoulder.

I choked back a sob, noticing an unhealthily large bruise forming under my ripped shirt.

"I thought you weren't going down without a fight?" chuckled Thrull, clearly enjoying my pain and humiliation.

"I'm not!"

I rolled and stood up, flawlessly pulling my bat from behind me and I raised the weapon, ready to slice and dice. Without waiting, I swung at Thrull, praying one of the splinters would manage to impale him in the chest and he'd just go away.

Thrull dodged the worst of the blow, getting only a jagged scrape on his leg. I hesitated a moment too long and he grabbed my shirt, wrapping it up in his large, calloused hands.

"You're not strong enough, Jack," he hissed, his bad breath masked by the smell of flowers he disguised himself with.

He gripped my shoulders (ow! My left one really hurts!) and shook me hard, until I felt disoriented and dizzy beyond belief. My skull throbbed and my vision was only barely returning in splotched when he slammed me against the wall again.

I slumped, a bit of vomit escaping from my lips, the taste overwhelming my senses. Tears mixed with sweat as my sight blurred.

The last thing I saw was Thrull's disgusting teeth as he smiled at me.

Then my world went dark.

I may or may not be totally addicted to and rewatching this show on Netflix even though it's targeted for ten-year-old boys and I'm a teen girl. ;P

Nah but seriously it's a good show, you should watch it. Or read it. But in my opinion the show's better.
