Prologue
Once upon a time there were two sisters, as beautiful as their given names. The oldest was bright, brilliant, fiery and filled with passion. Like rose she was beautiful, but underneath she was as prickly and untouchable for the thorns that grew beneath still remained. Her sister, the youngest, was the most loved for her pure soul and caring spirit. She was a refreshing breeze that blew in on a warm summer evening. She was names after a lily, who's innocences she embodied.
As they grew older they became more beautiful and loved by those around them. Rose helped her father run the family business and hoped that one day she would take over for him once the time came. Lily followed in the path of her grandmother and opened her own flower shop, where she was surrounded by the beauty nature had to offer. One day, their worlds were turned upside down and rose colored as their father brought home a suitable son-in-law that would marry one of his daughters and become the CEO of his company.
Rose being the first to meet him was charmed and didn't even mind that he would out rank her, because together they would raise an empire and dominate the music industry. He looked like a true Prince Charming sent out of a fairy tale to whisk her away and ride off into the sunset. They also complimented each other in appearance, they both were blonde with light blue hues and attractive figures. Nevertheless, there was one thing that Rose never accounted for and that was the possibility of him over looking her and picking Lily.
The shy wallflower that kept to herself and her flowers seduced Prince Charming, which made Rose become cold and bitter. Hating her sister for stealing the man of her dreams and her fantasy about running an empire. No matter what she tried to win his favor, she failed, she failed and failed again and again. Until the day Lily and Julian arrived to give them the news about their engagement. That was when all hope was lost and an undying bitterness blossomed in her heart that driver her mad with anger and resentment.

A/N: Man, it's been a long time since I last posted a new story. I feel like a fish out of water almost.
U: How do you think I feel? You teased my story and then nothing.
A: In my defense, (author tries to think of an excuse) I got nothing.
U: See, that's not even the worst part the worst part is…mmmmm(she starts to mumble as the author covers her mouth.
R: You should be happy that she's finally getting off her lazy bum and doing something.
A: He's right, but I take offense to that. I have been doing other stuff. (Author looks away from Riku and his leading lady.) Anyways, you two should promote my new story to get fans interested.
R: Her knew story has a fascinating appeal on a story that is old as time.
U: With a new leading lady that will hopefully charm the readers.
A: I said talk about the story, not yourself.
U: But if they don't find me suitable for Riku, they'll drop your story.
A: (Deep sigh, she had a point.) Anyways, we'll stop there. Hopefully, our readers will come back and join us on this new take of Beauty and the Beast. There is no way that I can do the original and the Disney version justice or all the other versions of Beauty and the Beast justice. They are all so good and I love them all. So please don't flame me if it's not up to par with other versions out there that you love and enjoy. I can't promise I will be consistent with my updates, but I will try to finish this story within the year.
U: You shou—-(again the author cover's the female's leads mouth before she says too much.
