Hello everyone, Smarties Are Good here! But most of you might better know me as, Hello12. Well, it's been a while since the last time I entered the Pokémon scene, trying to focus more on original stories with original characters. But lately, I've been having the itch to go back to where it all began…

Pokémon Academy

That's right, I'm bringing this story back! But unlike last time, I wanna go back to basics, as well telling a story from start to finish with a planned ending in sight. I want this story to be a mix of everything. Original characters, OCs submitted by the characters, characters from the game, the whole shebang! I want to celebrate the 25th anniversary of my favorite franchise and going back to zero is the best way I know-how. No crossovers, no random string of filler, no lack of focus, just a story about teenagers in a city going to school and that's that. Not trying to cram in sooo many characters into a chapter, just to please everyone. Basics.

The basics are what I want to go back to. I want to go back to what I normally envisioned for the Pokémon Academy, learning about becoming a better Pokemon trainer. I want to do my own world-building. I want it to feel more like a story than a random assortment of short stories, and I felt like I got a little carried away with that.

This story will not only be a reboot of Pokemon Academy, but it will be a reboot that incorporates elements from the original Pokemon Academy franchise. It's a reboot of the whole franchise put into one story.

This story will have set main characters. Last time I felt like I was trying a little too hard to please everyone, and not telling the type of story that I WANTED to tell. Though I agree that the previous franchise did become a mess, but this time I want to set things straight, as this time, I have a beginning, middle and end in sight. This story will also be done in a new, exciting and different way…but I can't spoil that just yet.

Just like last time, this is a SYOC! There's a few rules however just to keep things balanced.

Classes

Unlike in the original Pokemon Academy, the classes aren't determined by age but instead by their skill level. Each class is representative of each student's skill level as a Pokemon Trainer, and each class teaches a different subject relating to the class level. For example, Normal Class students learn things such as how to throw a Pokemon, while Ultra Class students get an internship to study under a famous trainer and choose a major of their own.

Each class is representative of a different type of Pokeballs: The standard, Great, Ultra and Master Balls.

Master Class

Master Class is the final stop and the last year of school at the Pokemon Academy. Not only are students given more freedom, but they get a chance to live on or off of campus, get internships, study abroad and get jobs related to their subjects.

This class is based on College and Graduate School.

Ultra Class

Ultra Class students still have to take eight different classes, but this time around it's preparing them for the final step and that is Master Class. Students get the chance to go abroad and travel the world in order to learn more about what they wanna do after they graduate from the degree and get a license. Just like Great Class there are still restrictions on how many classes a student gets to take, but this time there is much more variety in terms of electives.

This class is based on High School.

Great Class

Great class students aren't much different from Normal Class students. The biggest change comes from the fact that instead of sitting in one class all day, the students now have to sit in eight different classes, spread throughout the day, thus giving them the freedom to choose the classes they want to take but there are still restrictions.

This class is based off of Middle School.

Normal Class

Normal Class students learn about the basics of Pokemon. From how to catch a Pokemon to learning how to battle. Normal Class students aren't allowed to join any clubs or majors, seeing as they're required to learn about all things Pokemon-related in order to shape their minds to determine what field they'd want to study in in the future.

This class is based on Elementary School. Normal Class students don't live in the dorms and are required to still live with their parents.

Rules

Only one OC per user.

Please be extremely descriptive when it comes to creating OCs, and be original. No chosen ones, mary stus, champion-level trainers, trainers who can talk to pokemon. That kind of stuff. Try to make OCs that are realistic but also fit into the world of Pokemon. Also, don't send OCs that you've sent to 300 different stories.
