The howling winds pushed their body along. As of now, if they had only taken a peek at the KO-vision the following predicament wouldn't have happened. T.K.O was only having a midnight snack. Their body seemed to be connected to him even if he wasn't out there. K.O decided to have an innocent sleepover with T.K.O in the mindscape with no bad intentions as the simple naive child does. But the consequences were unimaginable.
"What time is it...?" T.K.O mumbled to himself, a thing he's gotten used to. The habit developed after a while of back seating in K.O's mind. Being a bored alter ego with millions of snarky comments to make does that to a person.
By this time their body had collapsed in the middle of a forest, slumped against a tree trunk peacefully. If the two main pilots of this mind had noticed then it would probably not have been as peaceful as it was. Save the panic for tomorrow, this is only the first chapter.
The more devilish alter ego settled down beside his angelic counterpart.
K.O sluggishly shifts his body to squint up at him inquiringly, "why are you up so late?" he uttered. T.K.O jumps a little at the sudden awakening of K.O.
"I got thirsty, also mind your own business," he immediately put on the angsty act, continuing to mumble something under his breath that sounded remarkably like name-calling.
"Go to sleep already. I have an early shift tomorrow."
"You don't get paid enough."
"Go to sleep." K.O's sleepy gaze darkened.
"Fine, fine." T.K.O relinquished, patting down his pillow and laying down reluctantly. K.O's hand reached sheepishly for his.
His hand found his, "yay." he whispered wearily. T.K.O felt K.O's hand relax into his but withdrew his own quickly before K.O's got too comfortable.
"Idiot." the alter mumbled with disdain clear in his tone.
"You love-" K.O lets out a yawn, "me T.K.O."
His dark counterpart waved this statement away and nestled deeper into bed. K.O giggled playfully and let out a final yawn before drifting back into a peaceful slumber. It took longer for T.K.O to do the same. He secretly savoured every single second of this blissful arrangement, who knows when they'll have fun like this again?
