Harry sighed "And Sirius...actually, that's a thought. Hagred told me that Sirius was there at Godric's Hollow, and he was under orders to deliver me to the Dursleys. Dumbledore,I have a new thought. Why didn't I starve to death a week after my parents died?
"I don't understand, Harry..."
"The hell you don't. Remember Third Year? First, we found out all about the Fidelius. When I used my cloak and was told about it in The Three Broomsticks. (2) Then at the end of the year, finding Pettigrew alive, so he had to still be the secret keeper, (3) And he remained so until the fight at Malfoy Manor. (4) Sirius might have been another secret keeper, but Hagred would never have seen us. Remember your oath to me. This is one the peril of your existence. So, give me the truth.
Albus moaned and hung his head. "I always use a time limited Fidelius Charm. It lapses after 48 hours."
"How does that help anyone!?"
"With my reputation, no one would expect it. And in the words of a famous Muggle, 'The threat is stronger than its execution'" (5) (6))
"I understand. Now, go through the straight Fidelius, then your modification." Dumbledore unwillingly told Harry, Mindful that his existence was at stake.
"This is like pulling teeth, you meddling SOB, but I think we can move on. So,"
