Vio: I refuse to sleep until I post these darn AUs! (Pterodactyl screech)
*coughs* Anyways, this au is basically about the theory that Ash is Giovanni's son except he kidnaps Ash when he's five and goes on to abuse him mentally and physically. Sometimes he dishes out the punishment and other times his pokemon do it in his absence.
I'll be doing little one-shots of this little series and if you guys have some ideas for his other pokemon, let me know.
A/N: I do NOT own pokemon!

Tough Decisions
. . . . . .
"He'll fit right in." Liza assured him with a smile, catching the worried look he was trying to hide. "Like the others did when they first arrived, he'll have to earn his place. It's just how Charizards are."
His lips quirked up into a hint of a smile, "Maybe he is a bit too cocky."
Liza chuckled in agreement, and the two watched the fiery lizard get his butt handed to him by the other bigger Charizards; that certainly didn't stop him though. Ashe watched him continue to challenge others who would just snort smoke in his face or just plain out ignored him. He was as stubborn as a Taurus, that's for sure.
The dull aching in his chest began to expand, and he let out a shaky sigh trying to ignore the constant burning in his eyes. Ash froze when he felt a small weight squeeze his arm and looked over to see Liza giving him a comforting smile.
It was better than being pitied.
"Pi-Pika!" His partner cooed from his place on Ash's shoulder, nuzzling his cheek.
"He's going to hate me."
Liza's lips twitched, but he held up his hand to cut her off from saying anything. It was far too late. He'd made up his mind and there was no turning back.
Raising his left hand, Ash stared down at the pokeball. Memories flooded his mind and nausea threatened to consume him. In his mind there was no difference between him and Damien. The cocky teen had abandoned him and now, Ash was going to do the same. It didn't matter that Damien only left him because he thought of the once Charmander as weak or that he was only leaving him here at Charific Valley because he wanted to protect his fiery friend and hope he'd grow strong.
They were both the same.
He ground his teeth together in anger at himself before slowly and hesitantly handing the shrunken pokeball over to Liza. The woman held it carefully, almost as if it were made of glass which soothed his worries. Charizard would be well taken care of here, there was no doubt about that. He observed the lizard, noting the ecstatic look on his face. His observation changed to longing, but he quickly straightened himself out and reached into the right pocket of his jeans, pulling out a crumpled piece of paper.
He gave it to Liza with a bitter smile, "Will you please read this to him when you think the time is right? I want him to be so damn strong that even Giovanni's Nidoking will be nothing morethan an insect to crush."
The other stared at him obviously noticing how his tone had grew darker, eventually nodding and glancing down at the crumpled and folded-up note. He then turned back to blatantly stare at his friend once more, wanting to burn the happy image deep within his brain because when the reunite, and they most definitely will if Charizard's determined nature is anything to go by, he will not be greeted with a cocky smirk and friendly eyes. No, he'll be on the receiving end of bared fangs and hatred-filled eyes.
Ash sighs and inhales deeply, forcing on a neutral façade, "Thank you for everything, Liza, I don't know what I'd have done had you not built this paradise."
Her unoccupied hand twitched as if she wanted to squeeze his but decided not to. He was inwardly glad and guilt at the same time that she didn't – that was enough physical touch from another human for one day.
"Of course, Ash, just…just promise me you'll be careful out there, ok?"
"I promise." With his final words of departure, an empty promise, he turned and began his trek back to Violet City where Professor Oak was waiting to send him off.
He reached up and scratched Pikachu behind his furry ears, whispering for no one else to hear, "Sayonara, Charizard."

Tell me what you guys thinks, should I continue? Yay or Nay?
