"Brother." The God of Darkness said. "We must reawaken our heralds."
"We told Ozma that we would return when he assembled the four relics." The God of Light countered.
"I know you have been keeping an eye on the Alpha. There are good people there willing to fight, but Salem will destroy them. Don't you want to rule that world again?"
"I do."
"Then awaken your heralds, and I shall awaken mine."
"Very well brother. I summon the champion of Light, the Thunder, and the Purifier. Find your host. Defend Remnant from the false God named Salem."
I summon the Rider, the Speedster, and the Abomination. Find your host and Defend Remnant from the false God named Salem.
The desert was merciless. If you went in alone, you might not come back out.
Week one
Team CFVY walked through the Vacuan desert. The Scorching sun beating down on them.
They walked at a steady pace and would take breaks when they could to stay hydrated.
When they came across a well, watering hole, or oasis they would stop and rest.
When they found a sturdy structure that offered shelter from the elements, they would rest for eight to twelve hours before moving on.
They had been traveling for a week when they saw a caravan moving through the desert.
"Should we check on them?" Velvet asked.
"No." Coco said. "We need to get to Weiss. She wouldn't ask for help unless she needed it, and she doesn't pull pranks or practical jokes. She needs our help."
"She's right." Fox said. "Besides. Most people in the desert don't want help. They want to prove they can survive. Besides. If it's really important they will hire a Team of Hunters."
"Okay." Velvet said a little sadly.
"Hey." Coco said putting an arm around Velvet's shoulder. "I know that it might seem heartless to not even talk to them, but they don't appear to be in trouble, Weiss needs our help, and we might be able to see Geoff when we get to Atlas."
"Really?" Velvet asked perking up.
"If I know Geoff, he's probably in Atlas right now trying to make sure the CCT get back up and running."
"Then let's go." Velvet said determined to get to Atlas that much faster.
Coco looked at Yatsuhashi and Fox who gave her skeptical looks.
The Team kept moving.
'I swear to the brothers.' Coco thought. 'If Geoff isn't in Atlas, I'm going to kick his scrawny ass.'
Week two
Team CFVY were sleeping in an abandoned house when Velvet heard something.
"Guys." She whispered. "Guys!" She whispered louder.
"What is it?" Fox asked.
"I hear something."
Fox got up and shook Coco.
"What!" Coco whispered harshly grabbing Fox's wrist.
"Get up." Fox whispered. "We might have trouble."
Velvet shook Yatsuhashi's shoulder.
"What is it?" He asked.
"We might have trouble."
Yatsu grabbed 'Fulcrum' and walked to the door.
He looked outside and saw four Ziraphs. "Ziraphs." He spoke. "Four of them."
"What are we going to do?" Velvet asked. "Wait. Do you guys hear that?"
"Hear what?" Coco asked.
"There are people out there."
"Great." Coco grumbled.
"Let's go." Fox said.
Team CFVY ran outside into the desert and towards the Ziraphs.
Velvet activated 'Anesidora' and created a copy of 'Sharp Retribution' before running at the Ziraphs. She jumped at one and cut at its leg spinning with the momentum and severing the limb. She could do this. She ran at the second leg and tried cutting it off but was kicked away.
"Velvet!" Yatsuhashi yelled swinging 'Guillotine' and 'Fulcrum' spinning and cutting the Ziraphs leg toppling it over.
"Velvet!" Yatsuhashi yelled.
"Right." Velvet said jumping and bringing 'Sharp Retribution' down on the Ziraphs neck decapitating it.
Velvet nearly collapsed from the fight.
"You shouldn't have pushed yourself that hard." Yatsu said.
"I had to prove that I'm not the weakest on the team."
"We don't treat you like the weakest member of the team."
"MORE FIGHTING! LESS TALKING!" Coco yelled shooting at a Ziraph.
The Ziraph swung its neck at Coco.
Fox blocked the neck and flipped away from the Ziraph before landing on his feet and sliding back.
"Heads up!" A familiar voice called out before lighting shot towards the Ziraph.
Velvet created a copy of 'Gianduja'. "Coco!" She yelled.
"Right." Coco said. Aiming at the final Ziraph.
Both girls fired at the Ziraph and killed it.
As the Ziraph's began turning to Dust Coco looked around. "We have to get moving. This is going to bring more Grimm."
"Right." The same voice said. "We are heading to Shade Academy."
"Wait." Velvet said. "Neptune?"
"Yeah." Neptune said. "Wait. Is that you Velvet?"
"Yes."
"Is that all of Team CFVY?"
"Yeah." Coco said. "Are you guys Team SSSN?"
"Yeah. What are you guys doing here?"
"We can catch up later." Fox said. "We need to get out of here."
"There's a town about a day's walk in the direction we came. We can catch up there."
"Let's go." Coco said.
The two Teams walked back to the town that Team SSSN mentioned.
The next day
They walked into the town the following day and went to the Inn.
"Let's get some sleep." Coco said after paying for their rooms. "We can talk tomorrow."
"Sounds good to me." Neptune said.
The two teams were each given a room to share.
They went to their respective rooms and went to sleep almost immediately.
The following day they took the chance to do laundry and restock their supplies before sitting down to a meal in the tavern with Team SSSN.
"First off." Neptune said. "Let me say how great it is to see you guys."
"Yeah." Velvet said. "It's been a while."
"What have you been up too?"
"We were at Shade Academy until recently." Coco said.
"Really?" Neptune asked. "Why?"
"We got a text from the snow Queen. It only said 'help'."
"Whoa. The snow Angel is in trouble?"
"She isn't the type to play games."
"You're right. She's the cold and calculating type. Want some help?"
"If you guys are offering, then sure."
"You guys okay with that?" Neptune asked Sage and Scarlet.
"So long as we find Sun." Sage said. "Sure."
"Great. Let's go."
Coco looked up and saw someone that brought tears to her eyes. "A-Au-Auburn?" She asked.
The other looked over and didn't see anyone.
"Are you all right Coco?" Fox asked.
"You guys don't see Auburn over there?" She pointed.
"No. Auburn's dead Coco." Velvet said. "She died during the Fall. Remember?"
Coco got up and walked to the door where she saw Auburn, but was cornered by three guys and a fourth guy boxed her in.
"Hey there girl." The guy said. "How about dancing with us?"
"No." Coco said. "I just thought I saw someone I knew."
"A girl with Magenta hair?" The guy asked. "Yeah. That's my Semblance. It lets me look inside a person's mind and take the form of the thing they want most. Not Hunter material or anything, but definitely good for a bandit or someone looking to have a good time."
Coco became enraged. "HOW DARE YOU DISHONER HER LIKE THAT!" She roared before kicking the guy in the balls. "I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR THAT!"
Fox got up and ran to Coco's side. "Want some help?"
"Just watch my back." She said tossing him her sunglasses.
Fox gave her a stare that said. 'Really.' Before he leaned against the wall.
Neptune watched as Coco cracked her neck and knuckles before she punched one guy in the throat and spun around him before kicking another in the ribs cracking two of them and grabbing the third with her legs and squeezing with all her strength.
When all three were passed out Coco walked over to the leader of the group and picked him up before slamming him into the wall.
"You wouldn't hurt me Coco. Would you?" Auburn asked.
"It's not her. You're not Auburn." Coco said shaking her head.
"Want me to prove it?" The fake Auburn asked seductively.
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" Coco yelled grabbing her head and falling to her knees.
They watched as the guy got up and reached for Coco.
"Leave her alone!" Velvet yelled jumping in the air and kicking the man in the head.
The man brushed off velvet's attack and grabbed her leg before hanging her upside down.
"I wonder. Should I break you, or sell you to Atlas or Mistral?" He asked grabbing her other leg. "Why not both." He suggested changing into Geoff.
"How about neither!" Coco and Yatsuhashi yelled punching him from either side of the head hard enough to knock him out.
Coco grabbed her purse and began hitting the men with it. "This is for Auburn!" She yelled hitting the leader. "And this is for Velvet!" She yelled again. "How about I keep hitting you until you get the message!"
"Because you would kill them." Fox shrugged.
"They deserve it!" Coco hit them again.
"Be that as it may. Velvet needs help."
Coco looked at Velvet and saw that she was shaking in Yatsuhashi's arms.
She stopped and went to Yatsu. "Velvet?" She asked. "What did he make you see?"
"Geoff." Velvet whispered into Yatsu's chest before crying.
Coco looked at the group who was being dragged out by Team SSN and Fox.
"Wait." She spoke. "Leave the leader."
"Not if you're going to kill him." Fox replied.
"I'm not."
Fox left the guy, and Coco grabbed him. "Just so you know." She whispered. "The guy you made Velvet see is a good guy, but he has a trigger. That trigger is his friends. Velvet is his best friend. His. Best. Friend. Do you have any idea what he's going to do to you when he finds out what you did to her?"
The man gulped. "No."
"You'll be lucky if they can fit your remains in a matchbox, and not one of the big ones."
There was the sound of liquid hitting the floor.
"Now that you know how screwed you are, get the hell out of my sight."
The man ran leaving a trail of piss out the tavern.
Coco picked up her bag and sat down at the table.
"I suggest we go back to our rooms and leave at first light." Fox suggested.
"I agree." Neptune said.
The Teams went to their rooms and went to sleep.
Fox woke up to the sound of someone crying.
He connected them and found Velvet crying.
"Velvet?" He asked.
"Oh." Velvet said wiping her tears. "Fox. I'm sorry. Did I wake you?"
"No. I woke up and heard crying." He connected them. "What's wrong?"
"That guy. Earlier, in the tavern."
"Yeah?"
"He made me see Geoff when he said those things."
"You know that Geoff would never hurt you... right?"
"Yeah, but it still scared me."
"I know, but you know as well as I do that Yatsuhashi would decapitate Geoff and fling his head a mile away if he even tried that, and Coco would use him as target practice."
"Yeah." Velvet thought meekly.
"You have nothing to worry about. Here. Listen to some music. It will help you sleep."
"Okay."
Velvet put her headphones in and started listening to Hazel Tiger. His music was instrumental and uplifting.
Soon she was asleep.
The next morning.
Coco woke up and got ready for the day.
She sat down and checked the map on her scroll and looked at the route they were going to take.
'If we keep going at this rate we can stop in Mistral to resupply, and rest. We might need to go to Haven Academy because Mistraileans are ass holes, but we will manage. If we can stay in Mistral we can head out and get to Argus in a month. If we can find a ride to Atlas, then we can get there and help Weiss.'
"What are you doing?" Fox asked.
"I'm plotting our route to Atlas."
"So. How are we getting there?"
"We will go to Mistral to restock our supplies before heading to Argus."
"Okay. I have a question."
"What is it?"
"How are we going to protect Velvet from the Mistraileans?"
"We might need to stay at Haven Academy."
"Too bad we don't have Jason here. He might be able to help us."
"The last thing we need is a bunch of dead Mistraileans on our hands."
"Why? It's their choice to be bigoted ass holes."
"Yatsuhashi?" Coco asked raising an eyebrow.
"Oh."
"Yeah. Oh. Not all Mistraileans are bad, just the majority of them."
"We can set up camp outside Mistral and you and I can find a place that will help Faunus."
"That's an option."
"Another option is to go in guns a blazing and take over a place for the night."
"We are hunters, not criminals."
"Just keeping you on your toes. Good to see that your alignment hasn't changed."
"I won't go down that path... She wouldn't want me too."
Fox patted Coco's hand. "She'd be proud of you."
"I hope so."
"Don't doubt yourself."
"I'm thinking that if we go to Argus, we can get a flight or something to Atlas."
"Sounds good, but we will have to keep on our guard in Atlas. You've heard the rumors."
"Yeah. It makes me so mad. I'll kill Jacques Schnee myself for what he's done to the Faunus."
"Save some for the rest of us."
"He makes me so mad with what he's done to the Faunus."
They stopped what they were doing when Velvet jumped up gasping for air and sweating.
Velvet was asleep, but she was awake. "Where am I?" She asked.
"Velvet Scarlatina." A powerful voice said. "You are a gentle soul, and you have endured more pain than you should have. I am offering you the chance to avenge all wrongs done to Faunus kind."
Velvet looked at the person talking to her and saw Ram horns sticking out of his head and circling backwards.
"Who are you?" She asked.
"I am a Faunus, like you. I just want what's best for Faunus kind."
"How are you going to do that?"
"I am looking for someone I can pass my power onto. I am dying, and I need someone to take my power."
"Why do you want me to take your power?"
"You are a kind and gentle soul. I am confident you will not abuse my power."
"Okay,"
"So, you'll take my power?"
"Um. I don't know. What would I do with it?"
"Whatever you want. It would be yours."
"I have friends that are humans. I wouldn't have to hurt them. Would I?"
"No. Not even Geoff."
"You know about Geoff? Is he alive?"
"I do, and he is. You would have the power to keep him safe."
"I'll do it!" Velvet said without hesitation.
The Faunus out his hand. "We have a deal?"
Velvet shook the Faunus' hand, and felt a rush of power.
"I expect great things from you." The Faunus said before disappearing.
Coco and Fox stopped what they were doing when Velvet jumped up gasping for air and sweating.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Coco said running over to her. "You're okay. You're safe."
"What happened?" Fox asked.
"I had a weird dream." Velvet said.
"What was it about?"
"A Faunus with Ram horns asked me to take his power. He said that I could protect Geoff with it."
Fox and Coco looked at each other.
"Hey." Coco said. "We will find Geoff, okay."
"He said that Geoff is okay."
"Yeah. He's okay."
"Hey. Yatsu." Coco said kicking Yatsuhashi's foot. "Get up."
Yatsu didn't move.
"Yatsu?" Velvet asked. "Are you all right?"
Yatsu still didn't move.
Fox put his hand on Yatsuhashi's chest. "He's not breathing."
"NO!" Velvet yelled. "YATSU! YATSU! YATSU!"
Neptune woke up and got ready to go. He packed his extra outfit. Made sure his water bottles were filled, and his rations were packed before making sure his hair was done just right before waking up Sage and Scarlett.
Sage and Scarlett got ready and were heading to Team CFVY's room when they heard Velvet screaming.
"YATSU! YATSU! YATSU!" Velvet yelled.
They ran to Team CFVY's room and ran in.
They were hit with a wave of heat.
They looked at Team CFVY and saw Yatsuhashi laying on the floor, Coco and Fox standing back with their hands in front of their faces, and Velvet, or what they thought was velvet was yelling.
The person they thought was Velvet was glowing, but it looked like a skeleton. Velvet's skull, ears, and hands were glowing an ominous red.
"Velvet?" Coco asked.
Velvet looked at the group. "Why did Yatsu have to die?"
"We don't know."
'I'm sorry.' The powerful voice said. 'But in order to get my power... someone had to die.'
'NO! Bring Yatsu back! I don't want your power! Take it back!'
'We had a deal. I can't take my power back now.'
'NO! Bring Yatsu back!'
'Would you rather me take Geoff?'
'NO! But...'
'Tell you what. You choose one of your friends to kill, and I'll give you Yatsu back.'
'NO! I can't do that!'
'Then how about a trade. You bring me one hundred souls who are truly evil people.'
'Fine! Just give me back Yatsu!'
'Ah, ah, ah. What do you say?'
'We have a deal.'
'That's what I want to hear. You have one year to get me my souls. Otherwise Yatsu starts to die a slow, painful death.'
'FINE!'
'I'm glad we were able reach an agreement.'
Velvet heard someone snap, and Yatsuhashi woke up coughing.
"Yatsu!" Velvet said dropping to one knee.
Yatsu looked at Velvet. "Velvet?" He asked.
"Yes. Its me."
"What happened to you?"
"I made a mistake Yatsu. I made a big mistake."
Yatsuhashi touched Velvet's shoulder. "Why?"
Velvet began to change back, and she started crying.
She told Team CFVY and SSN about the dream she had.
"Is that a Semblance?" Neptune asked.
"It's not a Semblance I've heard of." Fox replied.
"Same." Neptune and sage agreed.
"I didn't know." Velvet said. "I just thought it was just a dream."
"We can't do anything about it now." Coco said. "Pack up. Let's go."
The group packed up and started walking towards Mistral.
Every day they would walk for ten hours a day. They walked five hours before stopping for an hour at lunch and continue walking for five hours before stopping for the night.
One night they noticed Velvet acting weird. She almost looked sick and had a fever.
They helped her get to sleep and talked about different options.
"What can we do?" Neptune asked.
"You can start by handing over all your lien and gear." A voice said from the darkness. "Otherwise, I'm going to kill you."
"How about we don't, you leave, and we let you live." Violet said becoming a red skeleton.
A man stepped from the shadows.
"CARDIN!" Velvet yelled.
"Do I know you?" Cardin asked.
Velvet grabbed Cardin, and lifted him into the air, and put him close to her ears. "Do these ring a bell!?"
"You're a Faunus!" Cardin yelled in distress. "I'm sorry!"
"Do you even remember my name!"
"NO! But I've hurt a lot of Faunus! So, you're probably one that I hurt!"
"Are your ears real?" She asked.
"YOU'RE VELVET!" Cardin yelled in both shock and Surprise.
"Glad you remember me. Now. Unless I kill you, Yatsuhashi will die. He deserves to live. You don't."
"VELVET!" Yatsuhashi yelled in horror.
Velvet lifted Cardin into the air. 'What do I do to give you his soul?'
'Look into his eye's and repeat after me.'
"Your soul is stained with the blood of the innocent. Look into my eyes and feel their pain."
Velvet saw all of the Human and Faunus Cardin hurt. Every time he hurt her. Every time he hurt Jaune.
She saw him leaving Vale after he got expelled. He'd been living as a bandit going from village ever since.
Cardin yelled out in pain as his soul was seared with his sins.
The group watched as Velvet killed Cardin.
Velvet changed back and looked at Cardin's dead body.
She ran away from the fire and puked.
Yatsuhashi walked over and put his hand on her shoulder. "Are you okay?" He asked.
Velvet wiped her mouth off on her sleeve. "I was tricked into letting something live inside me. I don't know what it is. It felt like a monster trying to get out, and When it finally got out, it wanted to kill."
"We'll figure it out." Yatsu said.
"What if we don't?"
"You can ask Jason how he keeps his demons under control when we meet up with him."
"I don't think it's the same thing."
"Have you seen Jason? It's the same thing."
Velvet laughed a little at that. "Thanks, Yatsu."
"You're welcome." Yatsuhashi said walking her back to the camp.
Fox and Coco had moved Cardin's body away from the camp and came back when they were done.
"Can we bury him?" Velvet asked. "I think it's the least I can do for killing him."
"Yeah." Coco said. "But let's do it in the morning."
The next morning, they buried Cardin. Velvet looked down at the unmarked grave. "I don't like you. I'm not sure anyone does, but I'm sorry I killed you. That's all I wanted to say."
After Velvet finished, they headed off towards Mistral.
They began noticing that the Grimm seemed to stay away from them as long as Velvet was around. Which was nice not having to fight every day.
Without the need to constantly fight Grimm they were able to keep going.
Within two weeks they were at the outskirts of Mistral.
"Okay." Coco said. "You guys stay here while Fox and I go see if we can find a place to stay and restock our supplies."
"I think I'll stay here for the night." Velvet said. "I'm not feeling so good."
"Regular not feeling good or that thing not feeling good?" Neptune asked.
"That thing not feeling good. I'm getting really hot."
"You're starting to smoke." Neptune said.
"I need to get away."
"Let's not risk it and go to Haven Academy." Neptune said. "No one's there so you will be able to keep calm."
"Let's go." Velvet said without hesitation.
"Let's go." Coco said walking towards Haven.
As they got closer to Haven Academy Velvet became more, and more uncomfortable.
"I can't go to Haven." She spoke. "There is something dark there."
"We have to stay somewhere." Neptune said.
"I'm sorry, but I can't go there!" Velvet yelled turning around.
"Velvet?" A voice asked. "Coco, Fox, Yatsuhashi? Neptune? Sage, Scarlett?"
Everyone turned around to see.
"Jason!" They cheered in unison before they noticed something.
"What happened to your eyes?" Neptune asked when he saw the visor.
""It's a long story."
"Tell us." Coco said.
"I went to tell Damian's family about the Fall..."
"They did that to you because of something out of your control!" Coco yelled. "I'll kill them."
"They are already dead. I killed them. It had nothing to do with Damian's death. They did it because I killed their daughter."
"YOU WHAT! WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT!"
"I had my reasons."
Velvet looked at Jason but didn't feel any evil coming from him.
"It's great to see you guys." Jason said snapping Velvet back to reality.
"How did you get here?" Neptune asked. "When did you get here?"
"Come on." Jason motioned them towards the Academy.
"I can't." Velvet said.
"What? Why not?"
"I made a stupid decision, and now I can sense the darkness in people's hearts, and I want to kill them."
"Do you want to kill me?"
"No. I can't feel anything but loyalty towards you."
"That's weird. I wonder if it's another Alpha ability I haven't heard about yet."
Jason went quiet for a second. "It's not an Alpha ability. You are one of the Heralds of Darkness."
"I'm a what?"
"You are a Herald of Darkness. A being that served the God of Darkness who would bring souls to him."
"Why would it bring him souls?"
Jason went quiet. "What do you think Grimm are?"
"WHAT!"
"The original Grimm were humans and Faunus that lost their souls. The Grimm we are used to didn't come into being until later. Apparently when a soul is kept out of a body long enough it festers and considering that the people it would hunt were usually murderers... well. You can figure out the rest."
"How do you know that?" Coco asked horrified.
"So, you know how I'm the Alpha, right?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I have the memories of all previous Alpha's, and the Alpha is as old as the others."
"Others?" Neptune asked.
"Yeah. The Alpha, the Champion of Light, the Champion of Thunder, the Champion of Purity, the Rider, the Speedster, and the Abomination."
"What are they?" Velvet asked.
"The Champion of Light is the embodiment of the God of Light's power. They have a portion of the God of Light's power in order to enforce the God of Lights will."
"Sounds like a pretty cool guy." Neptune said.
"From what the Alpha knows he was. Next is the Champion of Thunder. They were the God of Lights vengeance. They were strong, powerful, and lethal. It's said that they could control lightning."
"Sounds a little like Nora." Neptune said.
"Apparently they were said to be arrogant."
"Not like Nora."
"Next was the Champion of Purity. They were the God of Light's Wrath."
"What's the difference between Vengeance and Wrath?"
"The body count."
Neptune gulped.
"Next we have the Rider. The Rider was the God of Darkness' Bounty Hunter. He would bring the worst souls to the God of Darkness and drop them into a ravine where they would stew until they became the Grimm we know today."
"Sounds charming."
"Hardly."
"Am I the Bounty Hunter?"
"Have you killed anyone yet?"
"Yes?"
Jason went quiet before asking. "How did you kill them?"
"I said. 'Your soul is stained with the blood of the innocent. Look into my eyes and feel their pain.'."
Jason went Quiet. "Yes."
Velvet held her hands to her face and started crying.
"What's the other ones?" Sage asked.
"The Speedster. They were the most unhinged of the Heralds of Darkness. Rather than take souls back to fester they would kill people by running into them at high speeds. Imagine Ruby with a kill count in the millions."
"Yeesh." Neptune said. "Sounds crazy."
"They were. The last one was the Abomination. The Abomination wasn't like the others. They took long enthusiastic walks that ended up with people dying. They didn't care about who they killed, just so long as it was able to kill people."
"And the speedster was unhinged?" Sage asked.
"Yes. The Abomination had a strict moral code, but no one knew what the hell it was."
"They were Chaotic Lawful?" Neptune asked.
"I don't know what that means, but sure."
"It means that they have a strict moral code, but no one can figure out what the hell it is."
"Then yes."
Velvet had stopped crying and composed herself. "Will killing get easier as time goes on?"
"Yes. I'm sorry to say that, but yes. Killing will get easier the more you do it."
Velvet sighed a defeated sigh.
"Can I see the Rider?"
"I don't know if that's a good idea."
Jason went quiet and tilted his head to the side. "I should be able to control the Rider if it gets out of control."
Velvet nodded and concentrated. Her head from the neck up and her hands started smoking before they went red, and her flesh melted away leaving a glowing red skeleton.
To everyone's shock Velvet, as the Rider, knelt down and bowed to Jason. "I pledge my loyalty to you?" The Rider said.
Jason tilted his head to the side and then changed. His eyes went red, and his Aura activated before he let out an Alpha pulse. "Your loyalty is much appreciated. We have two others waiting at the Academy."
"There is a darkness over the Academy. It needs to be stopped. The soul of the guilty must be purged."
"Let us go to the Academy. We can talk more there."
"Of course. Which of our kind are awakened?"
"If three of you are awake then I think all of you are awake."
"I meant who is at the Academy."
"The Purifier, and the Champion of Thunder."
"I see. I hope the Abomination doesn't show up while the Purifier is here. Those two never get along."
"I think they need to get a room."
"Damn straight."
Team CFY and SSN watched as Jason and Velvet talked about people they didn't know in demonic voices.
"Let's go." Jason said changing back to his normal tone.
"Have you heard from Weiss?" Coco asked. "She sent out a text message asking for help."
"I got to Atlas and got her away from Jacques. He was so mad."
"Why?" Neptune asked. "It's not like you proposed to her or anything... Right?"
Jason looked at Neptune.
"You did!" Velvet yelled changing from the Rider.
"Yeah. You can ask Weiss for the whole story when we get to the Academy. Also. Geoff is alive, and in Atlas."
"HE IS!" Velvet grabbed Jason and shook him. "Tell me!"
"He's alive in Atlas. Though his back and chest were extensively damaged during the fall, and he needed cybernetics. His Spine and Ribs are Cybernetic."
"I need to get to Atlas."
"That's not a good idea."
"What? Why not?"
"Because. The Atlesians are not kind to the Faunus."
"I know that, but..." Her eye's glowed orange. "Oh." She spoke. "I didn't know that it was that bad."
"I'm sorry. I'm working to change it, but I can only do so much, and Geoff is working up in Atlas."
"Okay."
They walked up the path to Haven Academy.
The closer they got to the Academy; the more uncomfortable Velvet became.
When they got to the Academy Jason walked them to a house. "This is where we are staying." He said walking into the house.
They walked in and were greeted by Team JNPR, Ruby, Weiss, some kid who looked like Weiss, Ruby's uncle, and two people they didn't know.
"OHMYGOSH!ICAN'TBELIEVEYOUGUYSAREALLRIGHT!HUGSFOREVERYONE!" Ruby yelled before tackling Team CFVY and SSN to give them a hug.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Coco said laughing and returning the hug. "Hold on their kiddo. Say that one more time."
"Oh my gosh! I can't believe you guys are all right! Hugs for everyone!"
Coco laughed and returned the hug.
Velvet looked over at the woman she didn't know, but she looked like Ruby, and Nora.
She walked over to them and looked down at them.
The woman who looked like Ruby looked up at Velvet. "Rider." She said in a bored tone. "Kill anyone lately?"
"Purifier." Velvet said. "Fillet anyone lately."
The woman who looked like Ruby flicked her wrists and two Jagdkommando tri-blade daggers flew into her hands. "This vessel has impressive blades. I think I will hang around for a while."
"Not very pure."
"You took over a host through deception. I took over a host by telling her the truth."
"Purifier. Rider." Nora said. "Can't we get along rather than measure weapons?"
"What?" Velvet asked.
"This Vessel isn't allowed to use any form of profanity...no matter how mild it is."
"Seriously?"
"It's true." The Purifier said. "This vessel refuses to swear too."
"Seriously? Did we all get vessels who refuse to swear?"
"You too?"
"Yeah."
"Well, this sucks."
"If you have all caught up." Jason said. "You have a lot to catch up on."
"Enlighten us." Fox said.
"Well..."
