AN I am a little nervous about posting this story, I haven't posted fanfiction in years, because I have had problems with spelling and grammar in the past, I have a spell check, and hopefully that helps, this story just popped in my head and I really want to do it. I have never written a Marvel story before, even though I love Marvel, so, it's a first for me, it centered around my made-up characters, Enid and Saphira, mostly Saphira and Thor and Loki, mostly Loki, another first for me, centered a fanfic around OCs, it will loosely follow MCU storyline, Thor to Avengers, but changed once Avengers plot happens, there will also be characters from another Marvel comic, not a part of MCU yet, but one playing a big role, the first couple of chapters is mainly introducing my Ocs and their back story, hopefully I did a good job.

Disclaimer Do not own anything, but Enid and Saphira and few others are my creations

Chapter 1 Enid.

Enid Bard (formerly Bardsdottir) groaned as she looked over at the clock on her nightstand; it was nine forty-five in the morning. Not sure why she had woke so early, and knowing she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, Enid sat up and yawned, then got out of bed and headed toward the bathroom, but first, she stopped to check in on her little sister Saphira, quietly she opened the door to her bedroom and looked in, her sister's bed was empty, must have woken before Enid and took off somewhere, not that unusual for Saphira to do, especially after a long night, she was always round up and couldn't sleep and would often sneak out and more often than not get into some trouble, honestly, it was like putting up with an unruly teenager.

At the moment, the sisters were living in a fancy hotel that they owned in Las Vegas, been here for a few years now, before that they were always on the go, never staying in one place too long; they have lived in California, Kentucky, Florida, Alaska, Canada, France, Norway, England, Ireland, just about everywhere, earning money with their magic abilities and talents. They've lived a century on Earth, and Enid worked what she thought were sensible jobs, and sometimes going to school, studying, and getting different degrees; Saphira, on the other hand, loves to show off, getting work doing stuff that would get her praised and fans.

When they first came to Midgard, they befriended a couple who had a traveling circus. They traveled around doing sideshows. Saphira became pretty popular with her fire breathing and juggling act, sometimes settling down in a town to do other things, but never staying in one place too long, to hide the fact they never aged or they would have to flee when people started getting suspicious of them.

When Enid decided she wanted a different life than that one, she decided to get a Midgardain Education, so Enid took a test to get a diploma to get into college, to get the degrees Enid wanted and learn more about how things were on earth; while having to work different odd jobs, Enid saved money and invested money and making more, Enid got a degree in a few various fields that will help out, and was able to buy the casino she now lived in and run.

Saphira was the total opposite; she didn't care about being smart or anything like that, she chooses to show off her beauty more than her brains, didn't care what people thought of her unless they were her fans, she loved being cheered by fans, being better than others and not having a care in the world, as far as Enid knew a lot of the employees didn't like Saphira, not that she mistreated anyone, it was the am better than you attitude Saphira gave. With the inability to control her mouth and watch what she says. Enid was respected and liked by her employees, was able to pay them descent, treated them all the same, and worked right along with them on the night shift when it was the busiest.

Enid walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower; afterward, she stood in the bathroom, and looked at her reflection in the mirror; at over a thousand years old, you couldn't tell it. She had white-blonde hair that laid just past her shoulders in waves, feline-shaped eyes that were an ice blue; she was tall, and skinny with slightly big hips. She got dressed, putting on jean shorts and a grey t-shirt. Enid was gorgeous and intelligent but kind and liked to mostly keep to herself when she wasn't running her business or chasing After her sister.

Enid left the bathroom and walked down the spiral staircase to the bottom floor, leading to a large living area. After buying the building, Enid had one of the hotel suits remodeled into a penthouse, one on the very top floor, for her and Saphira to live in; it had two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor, an office, kitchen, living room and extra bedroom on the bottom floor.

The living room had a large leather sofa taking up most of the floor, and one wall was just windows overlooking the city. With special tint on them, you could see out, but no one could see in from the outside. A tall glass self was on one side of the room, had different things in them, pictures of the sisters, a few collectibles, and an Oscar Saphira won back in her movie star days, then on the other wall, there was a framed poster of Saphira from her modeling days, next to the picture hung some degrees Enid got in college.

Enid left the living room and made it into the kitchen, where the first thing she did was get Saphira's cat off the counter and sit him on the floor; he was a big cat, long black thick fur and yellowish-green eyes. Saphira found him as a kitten, brought him home, and named him Mischief. Enid fed the cat, then ate a quick breakfast herself, drunk some coffee then decided to find her sister, make sure she wasn't getting into any trouble.

Enid was concerned Saphira hadn't been to bed all night, which was never a good thing; her sister could get more hyper and more accessible to anger when she hasn't gotten any sleep. When she first bought the casino, security hadn't realized who Saphira was and tried to make her leave after seeing her all night. She had gotten a bit rowdy; it ended with four security guys banged up pretty good; even if it was just one of her and four of them, they still weren't a match for a Norse goddess trained by some of the best warriors on Asgard.

Enid grabbed her card key off the counter, went out the door and down the hall to the elevator, it took a few minutes to get to the bottom floor, and when she got off the elevator, Enid looked for Saphira in some of her favorite hangouts; when Enid brought the place she closed it for over a year for remodeling, she pretty much gutted the thing and redid it, in a Norse Mythology theme, and gave it the name "The Tenth Realm Casino Hotel" The casino and hotel did well, has made Enid a lot of money.

Enid wasn't about to walk all over the casino looking for her sister; she doubted she was here and figured she most likely is at the casino across the road from theirs and decided to look for her there. It took her a moment to get across the road cause of traffic, but when she did, she headed right into the casino; Saphira wasn't in the main gambling area, nor was she where the slot machines were. Enid, however found her sister at the blackjack table. She had a big pile of chips next to her and was chatting away with the dealer as she played. Enid walked over to her.

"How long have you been here, sister." Enid asked, laying her hand on Saphira's shoulder.

"I have been up since before dawn," Saphira answered. "Couldn't sleep was bored, and went for a walk. When I got back, I didn't feel like going home, so I came over here to play the games."

"You weren't causing any trouble, were you?" Enid asked. Saphira rolled her eyes.

"You always think the worst of me." Saphira accused. Enid noticed Saphira was wearing a different outfit than last she saw her yesterday, so at least she had been home at some point between then and now.

"Come on, sister, you won enough, let's cash in your chips and head to our place." Enid patted Saphira's shoulder before pulling her arm away.

"Fine." Saphira signed, standing. They both headed to the lobby, where they went up to a window to cash in Saphira's chips.

As they stood and waited for the cash, Saphira pulled out a hand fan and began to fan herself with it; she was shorter than her older sister, by about three inches, paler, and more slender too; her hair was a light copper red, that fell to her waist in curls; and she had the same feline shaped ice blue eyes, just a slightly lighter shade, and a small number of freckles that went across her nose and a little on her cheeks. Saphira took most of her looks after their mother, with her eyes more cat-like and ears more pointy, high cheekbones and heart-shaped lips, her eye color the only thing she inherited from her father, Enid was a perfect mixture of them both, but had more of an Asgardian appearance. Despite this, you could still tell they were sisters; they somewhat favored each other with specific features.

"Your Thor must not like this planet." Saphira said. "Or at least this part of it, it never storms here...no thunder, lighting...not even a little rain."

"He's not my Thor." Enid said, "Hasn't been for a hundred years, not since our father's actions made us have to flee our home planet." Enid looked over at Saphira, who was frowning at her, "Besides, even though he can control the weather, I don't think that's his job to decide who gets rain or not."

The sisters looked at one another for a moment. Saphira sighed and closed her fan. It was a beautiful hand fan she had gotten when they lived in China for a year; it was black with dark blue peacock feather designs, charmed never to tear or break; she mostly used it when needing to do something with her hands. Plus, she liked the feel of the wind on her face.

Saphira missed their home, missed their friends, especially Loki; she missed her life of hanging out with her friends, and running through the palace, and getting into trouble, most of the time. However, Loki and Saphira would go off on their own to read, do magic or to prank or set traps for the others, and they loved to play tricks on them, especially Thor and Enid.

Unknown to anyone, even his own family, their father had been plotting to take over; he wanted to be King, so he started his rebellion, a group of people brainwashed into thinking he would be better at ruling the nine realms and Asgard. They attacked the palace, a battle broke out, their father's side lost, and with Loki and Frigga's aid, Enid, Saphira, along with their mother, escaped to the Bifrost, where Heimdall agreed to help them leave. To the sister's shock, their mother decided to stay, stand by her husband no matter the punishment she got doing so, or that she was sending her young daughters to a planet they knew nothing about; heartbroken and in shock, the sisters took the Bifrost to Midgard, where they lived the last century trying to blend in and forget about their past, or at least Enid did, Saphira refused to forget, Loki had made a promise, and Saphira knew he would keep it, no matter how long it took.

"Ugh, how long does it take to count out money." Saphira demanded. She wasn't a very patient woman.

Enid didn't answer as the lady was back and counted out the money from Saphira's chips. To no surprise, Saphira had won over three thousand dollars.

"Keep it." Saphira told Enid, as she walked away and toward the doors, Enid grabbed the money, thanked the women, then went after her sister. She caught up with her just outside the doors and then begun to walk toward the road.

"When we get home, you should probably go to bed?" Enid said. "You have a show tonight; you'll need the rest."

"You don't have to worry. I am fine." Saphira said as she started walking across the street.

"You need to sleep." Enid said, walking after her. They walked in silence as they entered the casino and through the lobby to the elevators.

"My show sold out again last night." Saphira bragged, getting on to the elevator, and seeing a poster hanging on the back wall advertising her show, it had a picture of Saphira on it, wearing what she usually wore during her performance, which was a sequin blue bikini with a pink flame design on the top part, and a beaded scarf tied around her waist. The picture of Saphira was her from the waist up, her arms held out at her side with palms up, flams in her hands, the words Saphira, Queen of the Elements, were at the bottom. Times and dates of her shows and all around the larger picture of Saphira were smaller ones of her doing different tricks.

"They always do." Enid said, pressing the bottom to the top floor. The guest wasn't allowed on that floor, besides a hallway, their penthouse apartment, few storage rooms, and Enid's library. Nothing else was up there. Enid liked it that way, gave them space from the guest and employees.

"Yesterday, I watched another one of those YouTube videos showing pictures they say prove time travel exist." Saphira said

"Not another one of those." Enid said. "Why do you watch such things, Sister?"

"It's interesting." Saphira answered. "This one was showing pictures of celebrities with images of people who lived long ago that they looked just like, they were saying they may be the same people."

"There have been billions of people that have lived and died throughout Midgard history; it does not surprise me that some look like others." Enid said.

"This video compared a picture of Astrid Star to Delilah Venus; they think they are the same person, just time traveled." Saphira said, smiling. In truth, they were the same person, and both were Saphira; Astrid Star was the name Saphira used when working as an actress during the late nineteen-thirties to the late nineteen forties, then again in the mid-fifties. Delilah Venus was the name she took when being in beauty pageants in the seventies and eighties and crowned Ms. America in nineteen eighty-five.

"The only thing in that video they were right about." Enid said. "That they are the same person, but you are not a time traveler. I told you people would notice even if you changed your name."

"Not like they can prove anything, and so, what if they did." Saphira shrugged as they stepped off the elevator. "What makes you so sure people can not time travel?"

"Because it's just not possible." Enid said. "The past is gone, it's already happened, no longer there, you can't go back to something that only exists in people's memories, and the future has not happened yet, so there is nothing to go forward in time to."

"You are just too intelligent, sister." Saphira said. "You think too logical; you don't think outside the box; you only believe facts and not what can be possible." She stopped outside their apartment door as Enid dug the key card out of her pocket. "Which is surprising when you consider you are kind of an alien that has been living on Earth in secret for a century."

"Saphira." Enid groaned as she opened the door and motioned for her to go in first. "That's different; we didn't need time travel to get here."

"Too logical, sister." Saphira teased. "That's something Midgardains also believe, that make people think them crazy, but we." She waved toward her and Enid. "Are poof they are right about it."

"Partly." Enid corrected. "There are other realms, and I guess we could be seen as aliens since we are not from here, but there are no little green men with big eyes. As far as I know, there hasn't been anyone from Midgard abducted by beings from other planets, nor do I know of any other realms wanting to take over this planet."

"Midgradians have the nerve to think little of those who are from a different world." Saphira rolled her eyes."While they judge each other, kill each other, and are destroying their planet. All the pollution people do, we had to watch as more and more cement was laid down on the beautiful land, the countrysides turned into cities all the beautiful wildlife on the blink of extinction. Whole animal spices dead, all gone."

Enid looked at her sister in surprise as she suddenly realized one of the reasons Saphira thought so little of Midgard. Saphira has always had a special connection with nature, land, and animals. Earth has changed so much since they first got here, some of it not for the better.

"What? You know it's true." Saphira said, frowning as Enid stared at her.

"I know." Enid sighed. "But Midgard isn't the only realm with problems, and faults, everywhere dose, even Asgard. No planet is perfect."

"We are a lot better than everyone on this planet." Saphira said.

"After living here for a century, do you still honestly believe that?" Enid demanded. "What about all your fans? And you sure seem to like to gamble at every casino. And all those beauty pageants you used to compete in."

"That's just for something to do." Saphira said. "I am good at reading people, so it's easy to win." Enid frowned at her sister. Saphira could read people pretty well by their face or how their eyes move; she could tell if someone is buffing or nervous. Loki had taught Saphira what to watch out for in people's experiences. It can tell a lot about what someone might be thinking.

"You gamble and play poker cause it makes you feel better than everyone to beat them. " Enid said. "And you love the competition and winning; you love being cheered and having fans. Those were the reasons for modeling and being an actress. It's the closest you can get to being worshiped as a God again."

"We are royalty." Saphira said, walking over and sitting down on the sofa next to Mischief. "We are also Goddesses; we are already better than everyone else."

"We are not royalty anymore." Enid said. She sat down next to Saphira. "We barely were on Asgard and not here on Midgard."

"Well, we are still goddesses." Saphira said.

"Yes, in a Mythology no one believes in anymore." Enid remarked. "And got very, very wrong."

"Midgardians are so weird." Saphira said, thinking about the stories she read about Norse Mythology.

"They didn't know anything, so made most of it up." Enid said, then started laughing, remembering a story about Loki that had sent Saphira in a rage when she read it. She threw the book across the room and refused to read any more of it.

"I know why you are laughing. Stop it now." Saphira ordered, only making Enid laugh more. "Even if they didn't know much about us, why on earth would they make up that kind of thing? What sicko would think of that?"

"You think that is bad. You should read Greek myths sometime, sister." Enid told her.

"You know we could make them believe in us again." Saphira got up and walked over to a large plant sitting in the corner, Saphira tapped one of its leaves, and the plant began to grow up the wall, not stopping until it reached the ceiling. Enid stared at the plant for a moment, then shook her head as Saphira flicked it and beautiful pink flowers bloomed from the vines.

"All I would have to do is walk through a farmer's dying crop, and it'll come to life; they would worship me like before Odin wiped our names out of existence." Saphira said.

"We can't do that." Enid said, "This planet is a lot different than it was in ancient times. You ever read about the witch trials of 1692? You're more likely to get burned at a stake than worshiped."

"Whatever you say, Sister." Saphira said, crossing her arms. She stood there watching Enid in silence.

"I still think you should take a nap or something." Enid said. "You haven't slept all night."

"Am not tired." Saphira sat back down on the sofa. "How did you know where I was."

"I didn't," Enid answered. "I went looking for you."

"Why are you always chasing me down?" Saphira demanded.

"You weren't home when I got up; I got worried." Enid answered.

"I would have been just fine." Saphira said. "I don't need a babysitter."

"Then show me you can behave, sister." Enid said. "I feel like I can't even turn my back on you for just a few minutes without you getting into some kind of trouble."

"Because you don't trust me." Saphira said.

"It's not that I don't trust you." Enid said. "I just know you too well."

"And what is that supposed to mean." Saphira demanded.

"You don't stay on your best behavior when off on your own." Enid told her. "Remember when we had to leave Florida because you got in trouble for letting lions out of a zoo?"

"They were mistreating them," Saphira said. "What else was I suppose to do?"

"How about when we first got here, and you kept getting kicked out of casinos?" Enid demanded.

"I can't help it if I am good at winning and others get upset for it," Saphira said. "I don't even care about any of the money I give most of it to you."

"That is not what I am talking about." Enid said. " I am talking about you always making a scene and causing trouble. When a place tells you to leave, do it instead of putting up a fight just because you know you can beat them. Why do you do that anyway?"

"I...don't know." Saphira sighed. "I don't like being bossed around."

"I know that, " Enid said. "I worry about you. I don't understand how after all this time, after everything, you are still sometimes so unhappy here."

"You have lived here as long as I have." Saphira said, "You have seen how judgemental a lot of Midgard is; it's the most judgemental and Hypocritical realms we have ever been on."

"Earth is not that bad." Enid said, "Yes, it has its faults, but all realms do like I said a few minutes ago, even Asgard. You found people like that there too. "

"I never said Asgard was perfect." Saphira said. "But you can't deny Midgard is awful when it comes to that, everyone here seems to talk or gossip about someone they know, look their noses down at someone for doing something they disapproved of while hiding the fact they have done; something just as wrong or worse."

"You got that on Asgard too." Enid said. "Especially among the higher class women."

"I know that, but Asgard is our home." Saphira said. "I had a little fun down here, but now I want to go back."

"Saphira, we are stuck here." Enid said. "We are never going home. Accept the life we have now because you are making us both miserable."

"So, life with me is miserable, is it?" Saphira demanded, standing up.

"Saphira, you know that's not what I meant." Enid said.

"That's what you just said." Saphira said.

"You misunderstood my words." Enid said. "I...where are you going?"

Saphira had walked over to the door where she jerked it open; she turned to Enid and said. "Out of your life, that's what you want, isn't it?"

"Saphira, I..." Enid didn't get to finish for her sister had left slamming the door behind her, Enid rubbed her face with her hands, even as children Saphira could be easy to anger at times, Enid's mother would always explain by saying.

"Your sister is to be the goddess of nature, Enid, dear; some may assume that means she's kind and gentle, but they often forget nature has more than one side; it can be warm and soft one moment, then cold and violent the next.

It took a while for Enid to understand what her mother meant and how she had explained it perfectly described Saphira. She was very unpredictable, and Enid has seen her go from being cheerful one moment to being angry the next. Saphira was very rarely serious about anything, never worried over anything. Saphira loved to tease and prank people; she and Loki often got in trouble for one thing or another, always coming up with some scheme to embarrass her or Thor. For some reason, the two loved to torment their older siblings. It always amazed people when that same playful little girl would lose her temper; sometimes, the simplest things would set her off. Sometimes it was hard to make her mad, and Saphira had a side she hardly ever allowed anyone to see; that was her intelligent side; Saphira could be pretty clever when she wanted to be, but she preferred to keep that to herself.

For some reason, Saphira preferred for people to think her, weird and silly, maybe even a little crazy; she would tell Enid, you don't let people see the real you unless you know for a fact you could trust them with your life because if they are not that trustworthy, they'll turn on you one day. It's better if they don't know the real you when they do. That way, you still have the upper hand, and they have nothing to use against you. After what their father did, Saphira turned paranoid and thinks everyone and anyone will turn against her with a drop of a hat, and Enid often wondered if even she truly knows her sister.

People underestimated Saphira often on Asgard, they always seem to forget she was a good fighter, and the goddess of nature seemed to throw people off of what that meant, how powerful that made her, what all was a part of nature. No, her sister was not stupid, nor was she weird or silly, a bit crazy maybe, but she was a warrior when she needed to be, serious when Saphira had to be, smart when she wanted to be, and when angered could be very dangerous.

Enid tried to keep to herself and get along with the world, and she long ago accepted what happened. The life she now has, this is now their home, the wedding she had been planning, and the life Enid would have had with Thor was never going to happen. She would never see him again and was trying to make the best out of everything, and Enid wished Saphira would do the same. Saphira still held out hope that Thor and Loki would show up one day and take them back to Asgard for such a paranoid and suspicious person; Saphira sure was a daydreamer.

Enid and Saphira were so different from each other while traveling all over, Saphira always found a job or something that got her praise or let her put on some performance after the circus was over; Saphira took to performing on stage, later appeared in movies, the first time they lived in California, after moving there from Paris, she took up modeling at some point, by the eighties Saphira was competing in beauty pageants, winning a lot of them too. Enid thought her sister was happy, but she was just hiding her misery well. By nineteen ninety, Saphira gave up the glamorous lifestyle. They moved to New Orleans, where Saphira befriended some thieves, which Enid found odd, but her sister seemed to like them. By ninety-five, they moved back to California; Saphira took training and became a firefighter; Enid still didn't understand that. Saphira's moods could change so fast it could be confusing, and taking up that job had shocked Enid. She wasn't one long though, Saphira got in some trouble, and they moved to Nevada in ninety-seven and have lived here ever since.

Four hours after their disagreement, Saphira was yet to come back; Enid didn't expect her to soon and just hoped Saphira made it to her show in a couple of hours. Right now, Enid had to start getting ready for work. Hopefully, she'll pass Saphira on one of her rounds.

Enid went into her room and changed into black pants and a white blouse and put on a black belt, and she slipped her shoes on then her jacket. She left her room, headed into the living room, grabbed her phone and key card from an end table, slipped them in her pocket, and headed for the door. She was heading out the door when she remembered she had forgotten the walkie-talkie that kept her in touch with the rest of the staff; Enid turned around and held out her hand palm up. The walkie-talkie zoomed from the coffee table right into her hand; smiling, Enid turned and left the room.

Enid could do a bit of witchcraft; their mother taught it to her, elven magic, potions, and enchantments, though she barely used any, preferring to rely on her other abilities, Enid had always been better at it than Saphira, their mother assumed it was because Enid was a genius, being the goddess of intelligence, what else would she be, but that also gave her power over the mind or other people's mind. However, she never used that, and she also had telekinesis that could move things with her mind, make people freeze in place, or cause just about anything to happen just by thinking it. Saphira learned elven magic too, but for some reason, she couldn't get the handle of it, everything she tried never worked or messed up.

Enid did miss their old life. She always would, but pinning for it would only make things more complicated, more miserable, so she tried to keep it out of her mind and wished her sister would do the same. Maybe Enid should take a couple of nights off, then she and Saphira could go out and do things together. Perhaps that's why her sister was so short-tempered lately, and they haven't seen much of each other recently. Hung out and just acted like sisters.

When Enid got off the elevator, she headed to the security room to make sure everything was going right before making her rounds; afterward, she went to her office to do her nightly paperwork; it was about an hour into her shift when one of her employees called from her walkie-talkie.

"Boss, this is Jimmy. Do you copy?" The voice said. Jimmy was head of her security.

"Yeah, I copy, is there trouble?" Enid asked.

"No, just letting you know a certain redhead is in her dressing room getting ready for her show." Jim said. Enid sighed in relief; her sister wasn't out causing trouble or anything and had cooled down enough to show up for work.

"Thanks for letting me know, Jim." Enid said, then ended the conversation. Enid decided to do a couple more rounds, then recheck the monitors, take a break, and watch her sister's show, something she hasn't done in a long time.

The room where Saphira's show happened was packed; it was on the ground floor, in a large room with a big stage; Enid opened the glass door and walked in, a guard standing on the other side just nodded to her, recognizing who she was.

"Hey, Boss." The bartender greeted her. "Can I get you anything?"

"Just a soda, Lee." Enid said. Lee nodded and passed her a glass of Pepsi as the lights turned down as Saphira's show began.

Saphira was wearing the same thing she had been on the poster in the elevator. She had her long hair in a ponytail, with sparkles going up and down the curls; Saphira put her eye makeup on in a way that brought out the feline shape, she also had glitter on her stomach, for someone who supposedly hated Midgard, she sure went all out when it came to her show.

Enid had seen Saphira's show a few times before, it was always excellent, and she always had some new tricks added. Besides fire, Saphira could control the air and wind; she often used that in her shows, too; apart from Saphira's powers over nature, including the elements, she favored fire for some reason and had gotten good at controlling it. She also had some control over gravity and often used that to make herself float in the air.

Her other nature abilities were to make things grow, bring dying plants back to life, and anything that was considered nature or natural Saphira could somehow control, all except the weather, and Enid guessed that was because it was Thor's domain. Yeah, he was the God of thunder, but he could control any weather conditions. Which is most likely why Saphira couldn't. Enid often wondered about earthquakes, though, could her sister cause one, or how far her water control went, could she cause a tidal wave and take out a whole town. Enid didn't know, Saphira didn't even tell her what all she could do, and that scared Enid, she loved her sister, but she hated to think what she could do if someone angered her enough.

Saphira's show ended, so Enid headed toward the stage, where she climbed the stairs, and through the back, she walked a little way down a hall until she stopped at Saphira's dressing room door and knocked on it.

"Go away." Saphira called out.

"Sister, it's me." Enid said, no answer. "I am sorry for what I said. Please let me come in."

"It's unlocked, Enid." Saphira called. End frowned; being called Enid and not sister was a good sign Saphira was still mad at her, but she opened the door and went on in any way.

Saphira was sitting in front of her vanity, taking off her makeup and wearing a robe; apparently, she was getting ready to take a shower.

"I watched your show." Enid said. At first, Saphira said nothing, then grinned a little.

"When you were supposed to be working, sister, I am shocked." Saphira said. There was sarcasm dripping in every word, but at least Enid was back to being called sister.

"Are you still mad at me?" Enid asked, walking over to Saphira; she said nothing at first as she wiped the makeup from her eyes with a damp cloth.

"A little." Saphira said. "You did say I made you miserable."

"Sister, you know that's not what I meant." Enid said. Saphira said nothing for a few minutes, then she sighed and put down the cloth she was using to remove her makeup.

"I am not like you." Saphira said, not looking at Enid, but kept her attention to a tub of lipstick she began to play with, rolling it back and forth."I can't just give up. Like you did, give up hope and move on, he promises he'll come for me, and Loki has never broken a promise to me before."

"Maybe he couldn't help it." Enid said. "We don't know what's been going on up there." Saphira looked at her with such sad eyes it made Enid want to cry,

"I miss him so much." Saphira said in an almost whisper. "And home, why did father have to do what he did? Why was he such a bastard? Why did everything have to change." She pushed the lipstick hard, and it rolled across the vanity and onto the floor with a big smack. "Why does Odin take it out on us? We did nothing wrong?"

"I do not know, Sister." Enid put her arm around Saphira's shoulders and pulled her to her. " I Am not saying give up hope entirely, just don't bet all your happiness on it; I don't like seeing my little sister like this."

Saphira let Enid hug her for a moment, then pulled away, and took her hair out of the ponytail. "You always get so emotional, Sister; it's annoying."

Enid laughed a little. "Whatever you say."

"You can leave now because I am going to hop in the shower and get all this glitter off me." Saphira said, not looking at her because if she did, Enid would see she was crying as well.

"See you later tonight." Enid hugged her. "I love you, Saphira."

"I know, everyone does." Saphira joked. Enid laughed and turned toward the door. She looked back at her sister one last time, a weird feeling starting to form in her stomach. She suddenly didn't want to leave her sister. It was strange, and Enid decided to bring up her earlier thought about getting away for a while.

"Hey, Saphira, " Enid called, walking back over to her.

"You're still here?" Saphira asked teasingly.

"I had a thought earlier." Enid said, "I think we need a vacation."

Saphira looked up at Enid with a frown. "Vacation, you?"

Enid grabbed a chair and pulled it over next to Saphira, and sat down. "Yeah, it's been a while since we have done anything fun, and I haven't taken a vacation in years, and I would like to spend some time with you. What do you say? A couple of weeks at your house, hanging out, playing games, and watching movies?"

"No, " Saphira answered, causing Enid to frown. "We can go there at first; I do need to check the place and stay a couple of days, but if we are to go on vacation, going to the house doesn't sound like much fun."

"What would you like to do then?" Enid asked.

"Am not sure." Saphira frowned.

"How about a road trip?" Enid suggested. "Just get in one of our cars and go wherever, doesn't matter, just drive."

"I like the sound of that." Saphira grinned. "When do we go?"

"I'll have to give notice so I can put things in place, have one of my managers here to cover for me." Enid said. "You have a few more sold-out shows; we also can't go until they are over. I don't fancy having to return all that ticket money, so we have to plan it out."

"We also have to get Jim to feed Mischief, I would take him, but he hates car rides." Saphira put in.

"I'll mention it to him before his shift ends tonight." Enid said. "How about a week from next Friday? We stay for the weekend at the house, and we leave Monday and go driving."

"Sounds reasonable." Saphira said. "Now, get out. See you later tonight."

Enid laughed and stood up. "Am going now."

She turned and headed for the door and went out of it. Enid sighed the moment she exited the room and closed the door and leaned up against the wall, sometimes it annoyed her a little that Saphira didn't seem to remember; she had lost everything when they had to leave their home too, in a week time, she would have married the love of her life, Enid already had her dress and everything, she was going to school, studying in business and history, making excellent grades too, her teachers praised her. Her parents were proud of her. Everything had changed for her too.

Enid got off the wall and started heading down the hallway toward the employee elevator; her thoughts went to her mother, she's the one that came from royalty, she wasn't Asgardian, but Ljosalfar, her father had been the king of Alfheimr, was the youngest of four children and only girl, her name was Astra, she was beautiful and was always a very kind and gentle woman, their father was Asgardian, he met their mother visiting her realm, they liked each other instantly, and Astra against her father's wishes ran off to Asgard with him, married him, and had two children, Enid and Saphira. As Enid thought about it, their Mother had loved their father more than anyone else, so it shouldn't have come as a surprise when she had run back to him instead of escaping to Midgard with her daughters. Enid still felt betrayed by it but forgave her mother long ago.

Saphira, on the other hand, had not nor has she forgiving their father for what he had done, one of the things that made her sister so unhappy, so angry at times, Enid turned and looked down the hall back at her sister's dressing room door, before getting on the elevator and going up to the first floor, where her office was. Enid loved her sister dearly, she was the only family she had left, but sometimes Enid wishes she could have a break from her; yeah, she was looking forward to this road trip with her. Still, Enid would love a few months of not having to continually check in on Saphira or hunting her down and dragging her out of whatever trouble Saphira was making. Enid needed a vacation, time to herself for herself, but she couldn't see that happening any time soon or ever.

It was like that on Asgard a lot too, when they were children. Until Enid went to university, she was always the one to have to get Saphira out of trouble or make sure she was not getting into trouble, always the one to watch out for her and take care of her, the only time the girl could seem to sit still was when she was hanging out with Loki. Then as they got older, Saphira and Loki would wander off together. Enid got to hang out more with Thor and their friends, and it became customary for her or Thor to have to hunt them two down from where they were hiding out and drag them on an adventure with them. Make them hang out with other people; then Enid went off to University, after that she and Thor got engaged, and she was giving a room at the palace. She didn't visit her house much after that.

Enid got off on her floor and headed to her office to do some more paperwork, do some rounds, make sure everything was still working perfectly. If her employees needed her for anything, they knew how to contact her. No one did; just a few small things happen that her staff could handle, nothing big; for a casino, it ended up being a boring night. What Enid didn't realize, though, was their life was about to change again, but for better or worse? Who knows?

AN again, there is Enid; the next chapter will be from Saphira's pov, and you'll get to hear more of their back story and see a little more of what Saphira is like; she is like my favorite made-up character ever, and took over the story lol I hope weren't too many mistakes, because I want this to be good, if so ill probably take it down and go over and redo it.

About Enid and Saphira's last name, their father's name was what their last name was their father's name was Bard, so they went by Bardsdottir on Asgard, but after living on Midgard for so long, and to fit in more with modern times, it was changed to being Bard, just wanted to explain that.
