Summary: "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when I'm awake.
In this dark place, don't leave me here please. Oh please my sun, please take me with you."
A mere gift turned into a curse that Tsuna unknowingly gave to Reborn. If only he knew that a single object would start their tragedy, he would never give it to Reborn. Never.

Found you, my sky
"What is this, Tsuna?" Reborn eyed the accessory then dark obsidian eyes turned to regard him with an amused smirk.
The face and smile did things on his stomach that he ended up squeaking his answer.
"It's a gift!" the brunet clutched his schoolbag tighter.
Reborn raised an eyebrow at him and Tsuna fought the urge to blush under that warm gaze but he persevered as he acted normally and not like a person with a hopeless crush. He didn't acknowledge that the older teen pointedly looked at his ears with something because he wouldn't admit he failed spectacularly at hiding his crush.
No, my ears didn't turn red. And noooo, I'm not embarrassed at all!
"Dame-Tsuna." Reborn called out, eyes fond before he smoothed the brunet nest of a hair.
Tsuna eeped at the sudden touch, his face feeling a bit hot and the butterfly on his stomach doing somersault as the person he loved touched his hair and smiled at him.
"Stop that, Reborn! I'm not a kid anymore." Tsuna huffed with a pout but he didn't move away from the hand.
"I know, Dame-Tsuna." Reborn chuckled.
Soon the warm hand on his head retracted and he found Reborn wearing the bracelet on his wrist and showing it off to him.
"Do you like it? It's not too gaudy right?" Tsuna tentatively asked and Reborn inspected it then he finally said, "Not bad, Tsuna. I didn't know you have a decent taste with accessories."
"What do you mean by that?!" Tsuna offendedly yelled.
Then Reborn flicked his nose, making him yelp and before he knew it they were arguing on the road yet again; bantering with each other and basking in the happiness of their simple school life.
Tsuna would eventually confess to Reborn. Maybe when he finished middle school and showed that he wasn't no-good at schoolworks anymore and maybe by then Reborn would regard him anything but an underclassman that he had started to tutor.
But today was not that day.
That's why Tsuna laughed with joy at this happiness, wished and dreamt that maybe Reborn returned his feelings too.
Someday he was going to confess. Someday in their future.
Tsuna suddenly felt a phantom coldness pass through his skin that he sneezed.
No, I can't be getting sick now!
He hoped it's just a breeze because he couldn't afford to catch a cold when he still had to prepare for the bane of his existence; the high school entrance exams.
The brunet and the dark haired teenager walked; side by side. Both unknowing of the tragedy that would fall and shatter their future together.
-. - .-.-.-
A voice laughed. "Found you, Tsuna."
.-. .-.. . .- ... .
"Tsuna," A dark husky dark voice called out to him.
The sound of heavy metal, scathing and rusty and discomforting to the ears leaves goosebumps on his skin.
Again, he pulled the offending metal dangling on both his wrists; leaving another set of blisters and peeling off violet skin on his infested oozing wound.
Again and again he pulled and again and again he failed.
"Tsuna." The same dark voice called out, no longer husky but rough then a hand grasped his bounded arm together as he loomed above him in all his majestic sinful beauty. A handsome face, handsome hair, handsome dark suit, and a handsome being stood before him.
Tsuna bodily flinched. Both at the sudden touch that jolted his other wounds and of the inappropriate proximity between them. Too close he could see the unholy yellow inferno on those dark eyes reflecting his tear-stained face.
Tsuna couldn't look away, even as a sharp nail dug into his chin it drew blood that the being before him lapped with a bright-eyed and wide gleeful smile. He remained suspended and terrifically unnerved of the glowing eyes that continued to stare at him.
A hand caressed his hair, an attempt to smooth out his messy locks, then it went to cup his ears and cheeks. He remained still.
"Good. You're doing well, Tsuna." A pleasant words from a low and dark voice that it sounded like it seemed to reverberate inside his head.
He remained still, desperately fighting the urge to yank his arm and punch something– it.
A digit trailed over his chin then throat, a pressure he knew the meaning of that it broke the self-preservation imposed stillness he had decided. He stopped midway, slamming back survival instinct into suppression, that his arm spasm at the effort.
The same hot finger paused from its wandering, right at his barely shown adam's apple. Tsuna paled and eyes widened as the feeling of crawling insects itched and buzzed in his stomach and it spread.
The pressure doubled; trapping his voice on his throat, the squeak at the edge of his palate, and forcing his teeth to quake and tremble.
He chuckled. A pleasant vibrating of the throat; a human action coming from a being beyond such miniality.
"You were doing so well too." He spoke conversationally, normally, humanely. Tsuna trembled, skin prickling with the palpitation consuming him inside.
The brunet was silent even as his mind was filled with white noise and of siren blaring en-masse in his psyche.
I'm sorry.
It appeared, the vulnerable thought even as scream inside his head spoke gibberish things he couldn't understand, it was the only recognizable words. A single truth, among everything running amok and churning and boiling underneath.
I'm sorry. The thought repeated.
Another hand appeared on his waist, the tendril snaking around him in a facsimile of affection.
Tsuna jumped; both from the unexpected action and of the temperature that seared his skin. His voice returned in a form of half scream and a sob.
I'm sorry.
"Tut tut." A click of tongue; a show of displeasure even with a wide toothless smile, it's a contrasting expression on a handsome face with a chiselled jaw like the portrayal of Greek Gods from eons ago.
A hand trailed at the back of his bum, putting pinkish hue on his pale pallor. It made his skin tingle and his stomach flip with acid.
Black spiky hair swayed and moved on a forehead that lowered, getting unnervingly closer on his face, while hands caressed his skin as if he was a statue to be lovingly and obsessively worshipped. Even if Tsuna inch away from the touch, he couldn't.
"And yet even if you disobey me, I will always love you," the being confessed and simultaneously crushed the brunet's weeping heart with words that rang on his ears.
Tsuna looked away to his side, away from the intense gaze swallowing him up, away from the blow of the words he had badly wanted to hear. As if it was enough to erase the look of devotion he was subjected to, from the same eyes of the person he loved. His hand balled into a fist that bled his palm.
I'm sorry, Reborn.
He winced as sticky wet and pin pricked tongues branded ownership on his skin.
"My God," the otherworldly booming voice continued, the new pressure turning him deaf. The brunet threw his head back with a painful crack against the wall.
At the same time his toes curled, his nails dug and scratched against the rough pavement, and his knees weakened he couldn't feel it.
Patch of bruises appeared in every wicked touch; turning his body in a colorful red, blue, orange, and purple hue of painted artwork.
Tsuna sobbed despairingly even as he failed in getting himself free from all restrictions.
I'm sorry. He apologized again.
A form, a hand, many digits, many fingers, he didn't know what to call it, but perhaps the apt word was something clutched on his hips.
The force grew intensely; it brought his already violet and blue skin into fresh mottled red as he felt his hip bone crack that left him breathless.
He yanked at his hand, unable to remain still, unable to withstand the pain.
"St–" his words were drowned by the lips devouring him whole and of jagged and forked tongue twisting and exploring his throat. His stomach churned and flipped and he fought the urge to vomit.
Stop!
The brunet couldn't take a breath and as soon as he found his mouth free he spluttered and gagged, saliva ran down his chin and dripped onto his collarbone.
With tear-filled eyes he glared back but the same handsome face looked back at him with dark eerie and glowing orbs that he shut it. To drown the familiar–and yet not–image he didn't want to see.
His eyes sting from the water he shed.
It's my fault. It echoed in his mind, proven of what he would see if he opened his eyes to the cruel reality of the situation they found themselves in.
A jagged something wiped his tears away, a reminiscencing action of months ago, from before , from before everything was normal. He bowed as his heart ached with the tragedy that had befallen them.
"I… I'm sorry."
If only Tsuna didn't open the pandora box, they could still live in mundane happiness.
"My everything." It echoed. Jolting him back to the present, of the same appendage holding him everywhere, of the extra form he would never get to see if he hadn't been so foolishly selfish.
Hands explored and bit, sleek tongue growing out of tendril in a mockery of affectionate love that had turned to obsessed unhealthy devotion. Tsuna found himself yanked from simple happiness into abuse he was subjected to, from the person he had been pinning for.
"My love," a familiar voice spoke not of the familiar warmth but of a rough and jagged knife that bled his ears at its terrific pitch; decisively inhumane.
A finger stroked his chin, in the same way of earlier; deceptively slow and sensual but with a pressure that stuttered his heart with cold numbness.
Tsuna's voice hitched that he took a gulp before panic could hold his body, to breath in through his nose, to not convulse at the touch he had craved.
A shining metal was caught in his peripheral vision, his eyes were drawn to it with morbid curiosity even if he knew what it would be.
A bracelet Tsuna bought for Reborn, an antic gift he found and bought. A mere silver with carved emblem at the underside of it. A thing he shouldn't have bought and given just because it called him.
His heart ached as regret clung to him.
A cold nip on his throat took his wandering mind back to the black shadow before him, his body tensing at the action resulting him to yank his hand in reflex.
"Tsuna," a firm hand moved his chin forward, back to the black glowing eyes staring at him with an amalgamation of love and ruthlessness. His knees shook, going from numbness to the urge to dash.
However he was chained, unable to flee, trapped in a dungeon of who knows where, by someone he strongly held in his heart.
Even as his body kicked and refused and hit. He was unable to do anything else, unable to truly try escaping, unable to do anything. Because he had asked for this, had unknowingly set this chain of events that he would pay for.
"I love you."
Tears sprung to his eyes yet again, words of his dream from a static grating voice that haunts him.
I love you too. Tsuna responded inside his head even as he was coerced into something he had dreamt of doing but not of this way, never of this way.
He screamed, voice pulling from his abused esophagus. He yanked repeatedly. To get his bloody hand free he was tearing on his skin, trying and failing to push the thing away from him. Even if he had wanted this badly, even if he had prayed for this every single night, even if it came from him.
This isn't… Reborn.
A tendril wrapped warmly and snugly on his throat, a loose hold that grew warm.
Tsuna's knees tried to close, but another set of hands grabbed his ankle and turned into an inverted spiky chain that embedded in his skin. The painful action made him hoarsely scream and throw his head back; he saw white stars.
It hurts!
Simultaneously, the hot hold on his throat remained but the temperature increased and he continued writhing, to try to claw it off.
Then it paused.
The one second turned to ten. Confusion appeared, this was a show of something else, and it put hope that rapidly grew on his heart.
Maybe, Reborn is–
Before he could finish the thought, it resumed tenfold. Every touch was searingly hot and cold, liquid poured from him that he stopped thinking as all he could register was the pain beating submission on his body and the smashing of budding hope inside him.
No… Reborn is… gone.
"I love you," It repeated in its loud voice. Hammering and hammering the fact that Reborn was no more.
"I... love you too and I–"
Tsuna sobbed even as he cried out with words that would never reach, of fake hands that tried to console him with even more pain, even as breathing and speaking was becoming harder to do.
"You're going to be… the death of me… Reborn."
Tsuna cried; sight going blurry and dark both from tears and fading consciousness, the urge to pass out going stronger.
I can't do this.
"I can't–"
Jagged cut appeared and bursting red followed, tongue lapped at it like a blossoming carnivorous flower drinking from its nutrition.
I'm sorry. He mouthed even with teeth gnawing on his shoulder blade, even if the hold on his throat tightened and he could hear sizzling of something.
"–breath."
I'm scared, Reborn.
Stop.
Let me go.
I'm sorry.
Tsuna's thoughts erupted, letting out a thundering desperate raspy scream from a throat that let out a mixture of blood and saliva while he gagged and was unable to form words.
He writhed. Survival instinct slammed back with vengeance that he ruptured his left wrist and it broke causing him to scream yet again even as the injury sapped his energy into sluggishness that he tried to fend off desperately.
I'm sorry.
The burning appendage on his throat tightened, it grew blistering hot that his eyes rolled back to its socket, that his eyes leaked tears and blood, that he frothed bloody saliva.
I'm–
Even as his sight darkened and turned red, all he could glimpse was the same handsome face staring back at him with dark glowing yellow eyes and a wide smile full of teeth.
–sorry...
"Re–born…"
-. - -. - -. - -. - -.-.-
-. - - / .- -. .- .. -. -.-.-
Reborn laughed.
... - - . -... - -.. -.-
And he laughed.
... .- ...- .
..- -...
As his laughter died he caressed his brunet's cheeks in a patronizing gesture of love, "Ahh–You are so pretty my love, my God, my light, my Sky, my everything. How I wish I don't have to do this again."
Reborn lovingly sighed as he stared at the empty reddened eyes of his once-student.
"I really really love you, Tsuna, more than you know. Always."
The hitman kissed his brunet's bruised, purple and bloody lips.
