This is my first fanfiction, so I decided to start with writing one of my favorite Harry Potter ship - drarry !
I just hope this isn't too bad for a first time...
Harry and Draco had been dating for some time now, meeting up as often as they could, always making sure they were away from any prying eyes. The only thing left to do was tell the others, which they always tried to put off for the next day, only to postpone it once more.
It was spring of their fifth year and they had been dating since the beginning of the year, after realizing that the only reason why they hated each other was because they were trying to hide their emotions for one another. It had started off in the first week of October, when Draco Malfoy had found Harry alone by the black lake one Saturday evening before curfew.
Harry seemed to be lost in his thoughts, which explained why he hadn't heard Malfoy walk over and sit down next to him. "Hello Potter," had made him jump, before turning to look at his interlocutor.
"Malfoy," had been his response.
But then the most unexpected thing happened: Draco lent over, cupped his hands round Harry's face, and pulled him into a kiss. At first Harry tensed, but then he found himself returning the kiss.
Since that little encounter the two had started meeting more often and, in the middle of April, they finally made the decision to tell everyone.
It was Friday morning, Harry had found Draco waiting for him at the entrance to the Griffindor common room. They headed down to breakfast hand in hand and once they arrived at the Great Hall, everyone turned their gaze over to them in a hushed silence. Harry felt his cheeks go bright red and looked over at Draco, who had turned a bright pink and looked as though he was about to run away any minute.
Suddenly, Harry turned, pulled Draco close and kissed him. It was such a passionate kiss, one like they had never had before. It lasted ages. When it finally finished they saw looks of disgust and shock. They didn't even dare turn to their house tables, Draco had no idea what his fellow Slytherins would think of this… er… relationship.
The two walked over to a free space at the Griffindor table, Draco had no want whatsoever to face the other Slytherins now.
They stayed together for the rest of the day, trying to avoid the looks that their fellow students gave, as well as the professors' when they saw them sitting next to each other in class.
That afternoon, after classes, the two boys where alone in a corridor, Draco was harassing Harry about how his father would kill him and wondering how they had dared tell, though it was more show, the whole school their relationship.
Suddenly they heard footsteps around the corner and jumped to hide behind a statue. Not a moment too soon because just then professor Snape and the headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, came along. They seemed to be debating something.
"How could he do this? It must have been some kind of a joke. When I find Potter…" The potions master, also known as the slimy git or the overgrown bat of the dungeons, was interrupted by the headmaster. "Him? To me it seemed like they both took part in it. I don't think it is any of our business. We have never been involved with our pupil's personal relations before. Why start now ?" Albus Dumbledore stated, earning a stunned expression from Snape "But headmaster!"
This was all the two boys heard of their conversation, but it was enough to convince them that everything would be alright, since even Dumbledore was on their side.
Later that week Draco and Harry were caught snogging in the corridors by Snape, who eyed them disapprovingly but said nothing. Probably because he saw Dumbledore coming in the opposite direction. By now the two boys were standing side by side, heads bowed, each with bright red cheeks.
The headmaster smiled while passing, making Snape turn his head and walk off in a huff.
When it came to Draco's and Harry's friends, they had accepted it pretty quickly and were even getting along pretty well together.
