A gasp, pained breaths, and darkness. This was what Midoriya Izuku woke up to, at approximately 1:00 in the mor- a red light, those were numbers, a clock! Looking around, Izuku's eyes slowly adjusted to the sight of various posters, figurines, and writing materials scattered around a small room. After he had gotten himself untangled, bedsheets? Where the Hell was he? He stood up, and regarded his surroundings.

They seemed familiar, what happened? His head was suddenly assaulted with memories, a pounding headache forcing him to his knee. Pain. Suffering. Anger. Loss. Hate. Blood. Battle.

Rip and tear! Until it is done.

The pain alleviated, his mind clear, he stood up, and remembered. The invasion, Mom's death. Daisy, his trip to Hell. The Sentinels, the Maykrs. The war, the betrayal. Mars, Earth, and his final mission: destroy the Dark Lord, and end demon-kind, and Hell forevermore.

He lied down on the floor, a smile on his face for the first time in eons. He didn't know how long he lied there, and he didn't care. It was DONE. And so, he was glad to die, devoid of his one purpose.

However, at some point, he realized he was alive. His heart was still pumping blood throughout his body, air was still proceeding into and out of his mouth and nose, and he could still feel all of his limbs.

He sat up, and decided to explore his surroundings. Namely, the image of the person that, well, WAS his surroundings. Everywhere he looked, Izuku saw the face of a man with chiseled features, sunken eyes, blonde hair featuring two large protrusions at the front edge of his hairline, and most of all, a wide, sparkling smile.

'Wait a minute...I know him!' he thought, and furiously searched his memories. A long-forgotten vision surfaced: he was in front of an old laptop, waiting for his mother to come in. He was excited, and holding a figurine of the man in his hand. She came in, and started playing a video.

"HAHAHAHAHA!"

"He's laughing!" The man stepped on top of a pile of rubble, his enormous costumed shoulders carrying seven unconscious people, as well as the four already in his arms.

"It's fine, now. Why?" This was it, this was what he was waiting for!

"Because, I am here!"

All Might! But, but, that shouldn't be possible! He left Earth hundreds of years ago, this shouldn't be possible! He should be dead, everyone should be dead by now! Yet, no matter where he looked, all he could see was the face of a dead man, a toppled pillar.

He looked around, maybe the guy that put this room together is just a collector! Yeah! But, wait, who would take the time to gather all of this memorabilia of centuries-dead heroes, when demons were still a thing some…

How long has it been since he fell unconscious? There was no way to tell the date when he killed the Dark Lord. Has it been hours, days, months, even years? Dark memories of his imprisonment within that thrice damned sarcophagus surfaced. With a hard face, he decided to look for a calendar. There, on the wall next to the door!

Even the calendar's wrong, dammit! He decided to take a look at the laptop - the same laptop as the one in his memory - and check the date there. Huh, guess this guy's really gullible, not even a password? Then again, they did take him in, the guy that's done nothing but kill demons in the goriest way possible for millenia. Ah, well.

The date in the corner of the screen made him pause for a second. Is even the computer wrong? Those things are designed to count the date and time independent of a wifi connection, how is it wrong?! Let's check the news instead.

There's no mention of demons? None at all?! Nothing of recent ongoing repairs on a massive scale, a demon attack scale, nor of cultists, anywhere on the headlines. Is it possible this world never got attacked by demons?! There's no mention of ARC, the UAC, Olivia Pierce, Samuel Hayden, nothing! This world… it's really free of demons, isn't it? A smile made its way to his face once again.

Wait, then how did he get here? There must be some mention of interplanetary travel in there. Huh, nothing. Then why is he here?

Izuku decided to explore the building he found himself in. Opening the door, he saw a narrow hallway, and made his way to the right, towards a TV room. Turning on the lights, he took a look around, and found it rather plain. On the walls, he found pictures of-

He stopped and stared, a feeling of hope suddenly rising in his chest, before he ruthlessly stomped it out. Because there is no way that the lady in the pictures standing beside his younger self, with all her innards still inside, is Mom.
