Yet another hot Arizona night meant Lake struggled to sleep, so they were watching videos on their phone. Suddenly, Jesse barged into their room.

"LAKE! LAKE! ARE YOU-oh good, you're safe" he shouted as he entered Lake's room.

"Jesse, what is it?" Lake asked. They were both annoyed and worried by Jesse suddenly entering their room without warning, yet knew that they should be concerned because something might have happened to him, and Lake never wanted anything bad to happen to Jesse, especially after they had spent so much bonding time both on and off the train.

"I-I had a nightmare" Jesse bluntly stated.

"About what?" Lake asked.

"Simon, Grace's old boyfriend. You left me and then he showed up and he fell in love with me and really wanted me to be his boyfriend, but he's really not my type and I didn't want to say yes because I still love you and I will always love you Lake, but he wouldn't leave and kept insisted I date him". Jesse broke down crying as he told his story.

"It's not gonna happen, Jesse. Grace told me that Simon is dead now, so there's no way he would do that."

"Really?"

"Yeah, he would probably try to kill me if he knew where you and I were and that we are still alive."

"There could be a ghost Simon trying to communicate with me."

Lake flicked Jesse's forehead. "That would be stupid!"

"OK, that's stupid, but the whole train thing isn't!"

Lake chuckled. "Plus, I would never break up with you. You and your family are pretty much the only people here who trust me."

"Thanks Lake. I'm glad you're always here when I need you."

"Me too" said Lake.

They then cuddled together, feeling much better knowing that they still loved each other very much.

AN: My way of venting when I get frustrated or angry is writing out cute little stories about Jesse and Lake. As you can see, they are my one true pairing and I stand by it. I know they are fictional characters, but I am way too protective of them.
