A/N: For my wonderful friend HazzaP, because I love her and wanted to give her a little something lovely. Hope you enjoy it, darling! :)

A/N: Also, this is my 100th story, which is cool for me. :)

Lily slid her hand around James' arm and smiled up at him as he pushed the trolley through the aisles. Shopping together was one of those mundane tasks that they'd turned into precious time together amid the busy world around them.

"We should get some fresh bread from that little bakery down the street." She rested her head against his shoulder, enjoying how first thing in the morning they were some of the only patrons shopping.

James hummed and kissed the top of her head. "That would have nothing to do with your love for their little cakes would it?"

Lily grinned, "No, nothing at all, but if we're there, we might as well pick one up."

"What flavor this time?" He chuckled as they turned the aisle.

"Their lemon one, I think." Lily picked up a box of their regular cereal and set it in the cart.

James checked it off her list. "And we'd probably want tea with our cake, wouldn't we?"

Lily grinned and licked her lips. "Certainly, we couldn't possibly have our cake on its own."

James pushed the trolley towards the checkers. "And since we'd need tea with our cake, we probably would need someplace to sit and enjoy our morning snack?"

"That would be very practical of us." Lily handed him the items from the trolley. "Did you have a spot in mind?"

James grabbed her hand instead of the cereal box as she went to hand it to him to scan. "I was thinking about that pond on the hill behind town. We could bring a blanket and lay out before the sun gets too high and hot."

Lily pushed forward to kiss his lips, savoring the way he pulled her in for just a moment before giving way to the reality that they were in a very public grocer's.

"I'm taking that as a yes," James' eyes glinted down at her and Lily laughed.

"Good, you've saved me the trouble of having to say it." Lily kissed him once more before pressing the box into his hand.

James' smile shifted into a smirk as he took the box and he leant in closer to whisper.

"As long as I can hear you say 'yes' under other circumstances I'm happy to save you from saying it from time to time." He placed a kiss on the shell of her ear before pulling back entirely.

Lily had to consciously stop her body from following after him and from the look in James' eye, he knew it.

"Then you better get me a cake and tea morning picnic, Potter." She glared at his teasing hazel eyes dancing behind his black frames. "And I'm going to make you work for that 'yes.'"

James had the good grace not to laugh at her, but his smirk grew wider. "I guess I'd better give it all I've got, hadn't I?"

He paid for their items and moved them and the trolley towards the car park. Lily reached for his arm again, a wicked smile on her face as she thought about what they might get up to at the pond after their cake and tea picnic. James caught her eye and shifted to kiss along her cheek to her ear. She expected him to whisper and tease her again, but just as they stepped up to their car, he snagged her around the waist and pinned her between him and the trolley.

Then his lips were sliding along hers, their pace moving quickly from slow and sweet to hungry and possessive. Lily hugged his neck to stabilize herself as James' tongue worked to put stars in front of her eyes. Then his hands pulled down from her waist to her bum where he squeezed for a moment before he hoisted her up off the ground.

Lily gave a gasp of a giggle and wrapped her arms tighter around his neck as her legs wrapped around his hips, aligning them perfectly. She felt him balance her weight on the handle of the trolley behind her and she eased up her grip on his middle.

Only to have the trolley kick out from under her.

She cried out as James pulled her to him with his right arm while his left reached for the trolley, pulling it back before it could roll away into the carpark.

Lily laughed as James gently set her feet back on the pavement.

"So if we're going to have a romantic morning picnic of cake and tea next to a pond, I suppose we would need a bit of time for this as well, eh?"

James held her close as he grinned down at her, his laughter evident in his voice.

"Oh, we'll need far more than a bit, love." He brought his mouth down to speak against hers. "I'm aiming to get the word 'yes' to fall from your lips."
