Prologue: A new Origin and a new Super Hero?!

"My name is Danny Fenton. I am 16 years old, and I am a ghost; Well, a half-ghost actually. A year ago, I worked as an intern for Axiom Labs, a subsidiary of one of the most famous companies in the entire country, STAR Labs. My parents, Jack and Maddie Fenton are geniuses in their respective fields of ecto-biology and electrical engineering. While in college, they built the first-ever prototype portal. As a result, they work on projects involving ghost hunting. They also go to various ghost hunting conventions around the country, including but not limited to Star City, Gotham, and West Coast City. But I'm getting a little ahead of myself here. It all started 1 year ago…."

Flashback, 1 year ago.

-Thursday after school, Axiom Labs

"Welcome aboard, Mr. Fenton; Axiom Labs looks forward to working with you." Damon Grey said as he put out his hand to Danny. "Thank you, Mr. Gray," Danny said as he shook Damon's hand.

"Now, Daniel, I know that you are still in high school, so we will have to work on getting a schedule worked out for you, but for now, I will see you on Saturday at 9 am sharp."

"Of course, Mr. Grey. I will see you Saturday morning." Danny responded as he turned and walked out of the lab.

"Hey, Danny, how was the interview?" Jazz asked as he sat in the passenger seat of the car.

"Jazz, the interview went wonderfully," Danny responded. I actually got the internship and will be starting on Saturday."

"Danny, that's great. Jazz replied. "Now we have to tell mom and dad so we can celebrate."

-1 hour later, Fenton Works

"Maddie, maybe there was something we didn't try?" Jack said.

"No, Jack, I don't think that…." Maddie was about to respond when Danny and Jazz entered the kitchen, interrupting the conversation. "Hey Danny, how was the interview?" Maddie asked her son.

"It went really well, mom, Danny responded. "In fact, I actually got the internship."

"That's great, honey. Maddie replied.

"Hey, that's great, Danny-o," Jack said, joining in the conversation. "Hey Mads, should we go out Friday night to celebrate? Jack asked his wife.

Maddie sighed. "Yes, I suppose we could go out to celebrate."

"I'll go make reservations then. Where do you want to go, Danny?" Jack asked his son.

"I don't know, dad; how about we go to that new Italian place that just opened up downtown?" Danny asked.

"Sure thing, Danny, Jack replied. I'll go make the reservations right now; how does 8 o'clock sound to you guys?"

"That sounds good." everyone responded.

"I'm going to call Sam and Tuck and give them the good news," Danny said. Danny walked up to his room, started his computer, and skype to video call his friends, Sam and Tucker. "Hey guys, how's it going?" Danny said as he was skyping his friends. I finally got hired as an intern to work on that ghost portal."

"Danny, that's great," Tucker replied.

"Yeah, Danny, that's wonderful," Sam said as she readjusted her camera.

"I even asked my boss if I could invite a couple of friends to the portal startup. Danny added. You guys can come along with me to watch the portal go live next Saturday after the accelerator." They continued the conversation for a few more hours when Danny said that he would get some sleep. He shut off his computer and went to sleep. Little did he know that his life was about to change.

-A few days later, Saturday evening, STAR labs, 1 hour before the Particle Accelerator goes online

"This particle accelerator will be what thrusts Central City into the future, Dr. Harrison Wells said to a large crowd at the STAR Laboratory in downtown Central City. This accelerator will be the very beginning of everything. Of course, this isn't the only thing that will be going on online tonight. He continued. Following the accelerator's startup will be the startup of an interdimensional portal to another dimension called the Ghost Zone over at Axiom Labs. The project has been funded by Vlad Masters, owner and CEO of Vlad Co, and will go online shortly after the accelerator gets up and running. The accelerator and Axiom Ghost Portal will both be pieces of technology that will send Central City into the future." Wells said as he ended the speech.

"As you heard it here, live in Central City, Dr. Harrison Wells just delivered his speech regarding the particle accelerator and new Ghost Portal. This is Lance Thunder, Action News," Lance said as he told his cameraman to cut the feed. Meanwhile, Dr. Harrison Wells just returned inside Star Labs to have his team start the particle accelerator.

"Dr. Snow, Dr. Raymond, and Cisco get ready to start the accelerator." Dr. Wells said as he entered the lab's command room.

"Ready to start, sir," Cisco responded as he headed to the main deck. "In 30 seconds and counting." "Starting the accelerator in 3, 2, 1," Cisco continued as he pulled down the lever to start the accelerator. "and we're off!" Cisco shouted as he and his coworkers began to celebrate.

As Dr. Wells got out the champagne for the celebration, there was a deep rumble below the command center of the lab.

"Cisco, Dr. Wells shouted as the room rumble again, and a loud bang went off. "What the hell was that?!"

"The accelerator is going critical!" Cisco began as he started to scramble at the control panel. "I can't stop it from here!" He added. "We have to shut it off from the manual override switch in the accelerator." He continued. "Ronnie, we need to go downstairs and attempt to shut it off from there."

-30 minutes before the activation of the particle accelerator, Axiom Labs

"Everyone in the Lab is running around like they are a chicken without a head," Danny said as he entered the main lab room. He had just come downstairs after doing some last-minute calculations to the location of the ghost zone.

It was almost time to unveil the Ghost Portal, with the head of the team being Mr. Masters himself at the helm. "Ah, Daniel, my dear boy, come over here. I think we may need your assistance with something within the portal." Vlad called over to Danny as he was talking to one of the scientists working on the portal.

"Yes, Mr. Masters, what seems to be the issue?" Danny asked as he ran over to Mr. Masters. Danny was in an insulated rubber jumpsuit that his parents designed for him. It was all white with black trim and black boots. Danny had asked his parents if he could customize the logo on the jumpsuit, to which they said yes. The jumpsuit that once carried the face of Jack Fenton as a logo is now a black stylized letter "D" that somehow looks as though it has a letter "P" on the inside.

"It appears as though there may be an issue with the electrical wiring within the portal." Masters responded. "Could you please go into the portal and check it out? We think that one of the wires is loose and as a result, the computer is giving off some weird readings. We want to make sure that when we turn the thing on, it actually functions properly."

"Sure thing, Mr. Masters," Danny responded as he made his way over to the table and grabbed a flashlight.

"Daniel? I just received an emergency call, and I need to go. I trust that you can handle yourself?" Mr. Masters called into the portal with a smirk on his face that Danny was working in.

"Of course, Mr. Masters."

Vlad soon left, and Danny was left in the portal to work.

-The Accelerator has exploded at STAR Labs, releasing a wave of antimatter and radiation…

As Danny entered the portal, no one realized that plugged it into the wall. Suddenly, a loud boom shook the entire room, causing a power surge to the lab turning the power off. Meanwhile, a large wave of radiation was making its way from STAR Labs to Axiom Labs. When the radiation wave hit the room, a second power surge caused the portal to turn on, with Danny still inside mysteriously!
