A/N: I just wanted to include some background/information on Yume so here it is.
She was in the same class as Boruto and the others in the academy and took the bells test with her class. However, there weren't enough people in the class to form a three-man team because there were people from the class who chose to continue to go to school or do another profession. That left Yume without a team. Konohamaru, who had been helping assign teams, had a suggestion. Yume, like Boruto, was an exceptional genin, even though there were areas she lacked in. She didn't have the same problem as Boruto, which was being too cocky sometimes and not having enough drive. She knew that she wanted to be a ninja so she could be like her dad and protect the village and everyone in it. Considering all of this, Konohamaru nominated one of his friends, Mugino, to be her sensei. It would be a little bit like an apprenticeship, like what Naruto had with Master Jiraiya, or Sakura and Lady Tsunade. The higher-ups thought that even though this would be different, it might be a good idea. Of course, this arrangement made it hard to develop teamwork, so her genin "team" would often be paired up with other teams unless it was an extremely easy D rank mission. Most often she would work with Konohamaru's team, Moegi's team, and Hanabi's team. The first chapter takes place at the time when Team 7 has a mission to give the scientific ninja tool to the laboratory outside of Konoha. Yume tags along with team 7.
