Tsuyu's life was never the same after the accident. This week's League of Villains attack left her severely injured. The medical team tried to save what they could, but she ended up losing her entire lower body. A hemicorporectomy, they called it. Everything just below where her belly button used to be was completely gone. She would have to use separate bags under her clothes to handle her waste. Tsuyu was absolutely devastated when she found out. No more walking, no hope for a future partner, no more large portions of food. What would her family think? What would her life look like now? How would she kick ass when she doesn't have any legs to kick ass with? There was nothing she could do about it. This was her life now. Stuck in a bed, then stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. God dammit.
The recovery process took several months, and it was a difficult life for her to get used to. The good news was that her classmates were super supportive during the process, most of all, Tokoyami. He always came to see her every day after class, and brought her school materials to her. When she was alone at night, Tokoyami would stay with her and talk with her until she fell asleep. It was nice, Tsuyu thought to herself. It helped lessen the pain of losing her bottom half and the rest of her normal life.
Several months later...
Tsuyu was walking to her next class. Well, "walking" is a bit of a misnomer. She was walking on her hands, something that she kind of knew how to do before and then perfected during her recovery process. She was wearing special gloves so that her hands wouldn't get dirty and calloused and gross. She also had a pad on her bottom area to protect her sensitive stump from the floor. Her small stature made her shorter than Mineta, and she would sometimes get tripped over in the hallway. Tsuyu could use a wheelchair, but she didn't like being restricted to one, and how are you going to climb stairs while strapped to a chair? She even got creative and used her long tongue to swing through the hallways a few times, but she stopped after accidentally flinging herself into a wall.
Most of her classmates didn't pay much attention to her anymore. She did get the occasional, Oh hey, Tsu! How are you holding up? and, Oh man, that must be hard. Why don't you use a wheelchair? from people passing by. And when someone outside of her class came along, she would sometimes get a look that read, Oh my god, what the hell happened to her!? Tsuyu was fine with it. She didn't really want too much attention anyway. She was fine.
However, there was one student who always came by to see her every day. A student with dark black hair, a short beak, and a pseudo-stand quirk.
"Hey, Tsu. You doing ok?"
"Oh, hey, Tokoyami. I was just gonna have lunch."
"That doesn't look like much. You sure you don't want some of mine?"
"No, it's fine. Doctor said I can't eat too much at one time. It'll mess with my stomach."
"Oh, ok. Just checking."
"So, you want me to carry you to your next class?"
"No, it's fine, Tokoyami."
"You sure?"
"Yeah. I'll be fine."
Tokoyami always had feelings for Tsuyu. He wasn't sure if it was her cute face or her nice personality or the fact that she didn't have mental problems like some of his classmates, but he was always so drawn to her. Even after the accident, he never stopped having feelings for her. But why not? Any normal person would have to be batshit insane to be in love with someone in her situation. But Tokoyami didn't see it that way for some reason. That small body, those unique movements, the shape of the lower body, there was something so… enticing about it. Attractive, even. Is this a new fetish? He thought to himself. Oh god, please don't let this be my new fetish. Tokoyami's personal "preferences" never strayed too far from the norm. A normal girl, normal kids, normal villain-ass-kicking life. That was his goal. But Tsuyu's new body might have awakened something new inside him. Is this gonna be a new thing? Tokoyami wondered to himself. But he didn't have time to wonder right now. It was almost time for his next class.
