Chapter 1

The battle of Jaku Hospital had ended but the repercussions from its conclusion were still being felt. Faith in Endeavor, the current number 1 Hero, was continuing to fall. Villains had become more emboldened in the wake of the prison breakouts that had occured. Hero numbers dwindled due to deaths, retirements and injuries. To say the world had been changed would be a drastic understatement.

It was in the wake of this aftermath that Nezu found himself having a meeting with the mother of a Hero Class 1A student. The particular mother in question was Inko Midoriya. As the meeting began Nezu slowly took a sip of some tea he had made prior to the meeting, waiting to see if Mrs. Midoriya would speak first. When a few moments passed and she said nothing, Nezu took that as a sign to speak first.

"Well I do have to say I was expecting the parents of students to want to have meetings eventually. I am a bit surprised you were the first to schedule one with me, Mrs. Midoriya. So to what do I owe this pleasure?" Nezu asked after he had finished his sip of tea. His expression bore a mix of curiosity and seriousness.

Inko stared at Nezu for a few moments while gathering the words she wanted to say. She knew that her son, Izuku, would probably be mad at her for a bit when he found what she was doing. In her mind however his anger would be worth it if it meant keeping him safe. So without any hesitation she took a deep breath and replied to Nezu's question.

"Thank you for being able to meet with me, Principal Nezu. I know you are extremely busy so I'll get straight to the point. When UA went to a dormitory system I agreed to let Izuku continue being a student at this school. Everything in me had wanted to say no. However when I saw him and the faculty members both begging me to keep Izuk enrolled I couldn't say no. So against my better judgement I said yes.

For a while everything seemed okay. After UA went to the dorm system Izuku seemed to be getting a better handle on his quirk. He was making friends other than Katsuki. I had begun to think that maybe, just maybe, that my fears and concerns that had made me want to say no to him continuing at UA had been unfounded." She stated calmly before taking a small pause. Inko then leveled her gaze directly at Nezu and said the following.

"But then Jaku Hospital happened."

"Ahh yes, indeed Jaku did occur. It caused a lot of people to reevaluate things in their life." Nezu responded before taking another sip of his tea. He placed the cup down on his desk and let out a small hum.

"Before we continue this conversation any further may I offer you some tea?" Inko gave a small nod and with that Nezu pushed his chair out from the desk and made his way over to a tea kettle that was sitting on a counter in the corner of the room that had a cup next to it. He picked up the kettle and poured the tea into the cup before making his way back to his desk and placing the beverage in front of Inko.

"Now then, let's resume our conversation. Mrs Midoriya it's obvious to me based on the direction the topic is heading that you intend to pull your son out of UA. While I can't force you to let him stay in the Hero Course I do encourage you to keep him enrolled here. Even if we have to switch him to a different course for you to agree, I believe Izuku has a bright future and that UA is integral to it.

You said yourself that he was making friends and was making progress with his quirk. A quirk that came in fairly late might I remind you. Taking these factors into consideration, do you really think removing him from UA is the right decision?"

Inko took a drink of her tea as Nezu spoke and when he was finished she let out a small sigh. She had figured that at least one member of the UA would try to convince her that keeping Izuku here was the right decision. It seemed she was right.

"Nezu, while I appreciate all UA has done for my son there is nothing that can be said that will change my mind. When Izuku wakes up from the coma he is in he will no longer be a student here. I know when Izuku hears this it will hurt him. Given everything that has happened however, I feel this is the best course of action. I would rather have my son be upset with me than continue down this path. I always knew him wanting to be a Hero would be dangerous. Now though its gone from dangerous to pratically suicide. I would rather my son be angry with me and alive than be dead because of his dream to be a Hero. I hope you can understand and respect my decision." Inko proclaimed firmly.

Nezu brought one of his furry white paws up to his face and scratched his chin for a moment. He had tried to offer a compromise to keep Izuku a student of UA but it was clear now that nothing he could say or do would result in Izuku staying enrolled. Knowing there was no point in arguing he reached down to a drawer on the side of his desk and pulled out the forms Inko would need to fill out to officially have her son unenrolled. He held the papers out to her with one paw while motioning to a pen holder on the desk that had several pens in it with the other paw.

"If that is what you wish then fill these out, once these are filled out though keep in mind Izuku would have to reapply and pass the entrance exam once more should you ever change your mind about letting him be a student here."

With that said Nezu watched as Inko filled out the forms as he occasionally sipped from his tea. A few minutes passed and Inko put the pen the back in the holder she had taken it from and left the now filled out papers on Nezu's desk. He quietly took the papers and read over them to make sure everything was filled out correctly. Noting that everything was correct he gave a small nod.

"Since it seems the main reason for our meeting today has been taken care Mrs Midoriya is there anything else I can assist you with"

"Actually there is. It's been stated UA is allowing civilians to be sheltered here. While I might not want Izuku to continue being a student here, I don't want to necessarily rip him from the friends he has made here. So I would humbly request that UA shelter myself and my son as civilians."

Nezu let out a delighted chuckle internally. This he could work with. Perhaps having Inko see first hand how her son interacted with everyone would cause her to change her mind before the papers she had filled out became officially filed. Afterall, Nezu had neglected to tell Mrs Midoriya that unenrollment forms for Hero schools had different criteria for approval than normal schools and were not instantly approved. With a smile and a glint in his eyes Nezu responded.

"That can most certainly be arranged Mrs. Midoriya. For now go home and get some rest. When we have everything ready for you, you'll be contacted."
