Fairy lights twinkled beneath a star strewn sky, fabric covered chairs lined the fresh green grass, a small stage took pride of place in front, polished wood, gleaming as evening fell.
Guests were shown to their seats, music from a magical harp floated gently through the air. Glasses of champagne and vintage wine filled themselves on a table covered with an elegant cream coloured table cloth.
'You ready?' Ron asked his best friend as he straightened up his tie and smoothed the emerald robes one more time for good measure.
'As I'll ever be' Harry smiled 'can't believe I am marrying the man of my dreams'
'He is a good man Harry, you are very lucky' Ron grinned
'You snagged a pretty good one yourself' Harry reminded his friend
'We both did, who would have thought the pair of us would end up married and blissfully happy with two Slytherins?' Ron chuckled 'speaking of let's go before one or both of them come looking'
'After you' Harry said, following his best man and best mate from the room
'It looks fine Uncle Sev, now let's go' Draco urged his godfather
'I need it to be better than fine, it has to be perfect' Severus replied, fiddling with the clasp on his robes
'Uncle Sev Harry wouldn't care if you turned up dressed as a cauldron, or stark naked, to him you are perfect' Draco said warmly
'Thanks Dragon' Severus smiled at his godson 'let's do this shall we?'
Minister for magic Kingsley Shacklebolt stood on the stage and looked out over the gardens, Harry and Severus had decided to get married at Prince Estate, a homestead that once belonged to Severus' great grandmother, it was out of the way, the perfect spot of a small private wedding. If anyone had earned privacy it was the two men he was about to marry.
Severus and Draco came to the right side of the small stage, both looking elegant in their formal robes. The harp began to play a love song by a muggle artist Leann Rimes called I need you, it was one of Harry's favourites and summed up his relationship with Severus quite well.
Harry walked slowly down the carpeted isle, Ron Weasley by his side, the pair smiling broadly. When Harry came to stand beside Severus he's breath was taken away, the love of his life looked a picture in his robes, eyes bright and smiling.
'You are perfect' he whispered
'So are you' Harry replied
Kingsley began his speech about the two men who were coming together as bonded husbands, lovers, friends. He spoke of happiness and joy that a bond could create. Harry and Severus said their vows, promising to love the other until the last breath had left their body, only to continue on into the next life.
Ron and Draco handed over the wedding bands, Kingsley asked the pair to repeat after him as Harry slipped the silver ring onto Severus' finger and he in turn doing the same.
If no one here has any objections I now pronounce you as...
'I object' a voice called from the far end of the gardens
Every head turned to see who had interrupted the proceedings and what objections they could possibly have. Ron growled when he saw who the party crashed was.
'I object to this union' Ginerva Weasley called, hurrying down the isle in a wedding gown no less, her mother close behind fixing the train.
'On what grounds' Kingsley snapped
'On the grounds that Harry belongs to me' Ginny retorted
'Like hell' Harry sneered 'continue Kingsley'
'I now pronounce you as bonded husbands in life and love, blessed be, ladies and gentleman may introduce Misters Harry and Severus Snape' Kingsley beamed
'No Harry you can't' Ginny screamed running towards him, she was almost to the front when she tripped and face planted the carpet.
'You told me I would be able to marry him, she screamed sitting up and pounding the ground with her fists 'it's not fair, you said I could'
'Get her out of here' Kingsley ordered two of the Aurors who had been in attendance
'Crazy bitch' Harry muttered
