(A/N: Okay, so now I'm writing the story that shall begin my own "Super Mario" timeline. This is the main timeline. Here goes...)

It was a beautiful morning in the Mushroom Kingdom. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and everything was perfect. Not even Bowser was attempting to do anything. And it's a good thing he was keeping to himself, 'cause there's something really special going on today. Let's get to Princess Peach's Castle, for that's where this story really begins!

At Peach's Castle, all the Toads were dressed up and running around. Not only that, but they also seem excited and in a big hurry. What's going on? I can't tell you for sure, but we'll find out soon enough.

Upstairs, in Peach's bedroom, we find a rather excited Princess Peach sitting at her vanity table, brushing her hair. She's wearing her fluffy, light pink bathrobe and matching slippers, so my guess is that she had a shower. I wonder what's going on...?

"I can't believe it! I never thought this day would come!" Peach said excitedly as she ran the brush through her long, golden hair in front of her mirror. Her reflection showed that she looked really excited.

"Neither did I. Then again, I never thought I'd see the day that you and Mario made that big decision." Daisy said, walking out from behind Peach's dressing screen. Daisy was wearing a rather fancy-looking... pink dress? That's odd, for I never thought a tomboy like Daisy would be caught dressed in the color pink, much less in a fancy dress.

"I know. It would've been here a lot sooner if I had just accepted his proposal in the first place. Or at least asked him on the way home. And it probably would've spared us a lot of heartache." Peach said.

"So why didn't you do it, then? Why did you wait until much later to ask him to marry you?" Tiara asked. She'd stayed in Peach's Castle the night before so she'd be there when Peach got ready for the wedding.

Whoa! Hold the phone! That explains what all the fuss is about! Mario and Peach are finally getting married, and today is their wedding day!

"I could tell he was getting ready to propose, and I was more than ready to accept his proposal. Then Bowser decided he wouldn't let Mario have me. But Mario didn't want Bowser to have me, and I don't blame him for feeling that way." Peach started.

"What I don't get is why you not only turned down Bowser, but Mario as well. If I was captured by Bowser as many times as you were, I would've accepted Mario's proposal." Daisy said, walking over to Peach.

"No, I don't think you would have." Peach said, setting down the brush and looking over her make-up.

"True, because I love Luigi more. If he proposes, I'm more than ready to accept it." Daisy said.

"Would you have accepted Luigi's proposal if he and Bowser were forcing you to choose one of them?" Peach asked as she applied some soft pink eye-shadow.

"I would've told Bowser to forget about me, 'cause I wanted Luigi to be my husband." Daisy said.

"That... probably would've been the best way to make Bowser realize that I wanted Mario, but when Mario and Bowser were forcing me to pick, all the force was giving me a headache, and I turned them both down." Peach finished.

"Mario was so upset when you didn't accept his proposal. Cappy and I both felt awful for him." Tiara reminded her.

"I know. I didn't want to upset him, but I didn't appreciate being forced to choose when Bowser had been forcing me the whole time. Think about this. He kidnapped you, and me, forced me into a wedding gown, forced the Soirée Bouquet into my hands, and practically tried to force the Binding Band onto me. He was forcing me to marry him when I didn't want to." Peach said.

"Okay, I see why you did what you did. Being forced is no fun, and Mario should've known that forcing you to pick him wasn't the best thing to do, since Bowser was doing that the whole time." Daisy said.

"Yeah, it wasn't the smartest thing to do, either." said Tiara.

"But the meanest thing Bowser did was this: every time Mario was about to rescue me, Bowser would always have a way of keeping him from me, and not only that, he would try to kill Mario in the process!" Peach exclaimed, reaching for her pink lipstick.

"And, once again, I wonder why you would turn him down. I know why you said you did, but the guy was risking life and limb for you, and almost died trying to rescue you. If I were you, I would have said to him, 'Before you can say anything, yes, I will marry you!'." Daisy said.

"I wish I had. Especially because that wasn't the first time Bowser tried to marry me, either." Peach said, looking at her reflection, seeing that she kept her make-up light.

"It wasn't?" Tiara asked.

"Nope." said Peach.

"What were the other times like?" Daisy asked.

Peach told them about the other times, which related to the events of "Do You Princess Toadstool Take This Koopa...?" (an episode of "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!"), the "Super Mario Adventures" comic, and "Super Paper Mario". Daisy and Tiara were shocked and appalled. They had no idea that Peach had been through the 'forced marriage to Bowser' ordeal more than once.

"There was also the time Bowser convinced his son that I was his mother, but while I'm not sure if that counts, I'm almost afraid that it does." Peach said.

"Why?" Tiara asked.

"When Mario showed up to save me, Bowser claimed that Mario was disturbing his family vacation. Apparently, he must've told his son that not only was I his mother, I was married to him as well!" Peach said.

"Ewww! I knew Bowser was sick, but not that sick! Thank goodness you're not married to him at all!" Daisy said.

"But you're getting married to Mario now. Did he finally ask you when Bowser was not around?" Tiara asked.

"No, actually. I asked him." Peach said.

"But she did that after Mario was almost killed by Sephiroth when his name was added to the "Smash Bros." roster." Daisy said.

"You waited until he was almost killed again?! Why did you do that?!" Tiara almost wailed.

"I guess I was waiting for him to try and propose again, but he wasn't doing it. When I saw what happened to him, I completely lost it." Peach started.

"Yeah, she was a wreck, but Mario proved that he was okay pretty quick. I guess those tears of sadness quickly turned to happiness." Daisy said.

"As soon as I learned that Mario was okay, we quickly ran to safety, and once we were safe, I asked Mario if he'd marry me, and he said yes." Peach continued.

"I'm so glad he did! I knew he'd accept if you asked him!" Tiara cheered.

"I was more scared of losing him than I was of him never proposing to me. And if he had died, I never would've forgiven myself for not accepting his proposal when I had the chance (or at least told him I would marry him sooner). I didn't want him to die thinking I didn't want to marry him. He's my better half, and I can't live without him." Peach said as she got up and walked behind her dressing screen.

"How did he react when you asked him to marry you?" Tiara asked Peach.

"He was still a little shaken from almost being killed, so he wasn't as thrilled as you'd expect him to be." Daisy said.

"But once we calmed down and he realized that he and I were engaged, he was the happiest I'd ever seen him." Peach said. She sounded like she was smiling behind the screen.

"And he's probably feeling that way again, for in a few hours, you're gonna be his wife." Daisy reminded her.

"I love him so much. And now we'll be together forever." Peach said with a sigh.

"Are you ready yet?" Tiara asked.

"Just about." Peach replied.

Princess Peach stepped out from behind her dressing screen. Her wedding dress was not the Lochlady Dress, but it looked like it was. She was dressed exactly as she had been during that time, except she looked happier now. But that had to do with the fact that this time, she wasn't being forced to marry Bowser. She was marrying Mario, the man she loved, and she wasn't being forced into it. The only thing missing, however, was her veil.

"What about your wedding veil?" Daisy asked.

"That's where Tiara comes in. I need her to hold it in place." Peach replied.

"Okay." Tiara said as she took her place on Peach's head, holding the wedding veil in place.

"Perfect." Daisy said when Tiara was straight.

"How do I look?" Peach asked.

"Let's just say, Mario's going to think he left his body and went to heaven when he sees you." Daisy said.

"What...?" Peach asked, looking sad. After almost losing him numerous times, the last thing she needed to hear was something that had to do with Mario and death.

"No, I meant that in a good way. When he sees you walking down the aisle, he's going to think he did that because you look angelic! He'll love you even more than he does when he sees you." Daisy said, trying to wipe the sadness from Peach's face.

"He might even say 'I do' before the minister finishes asking him if he takes you to be his wife." Tiara said, giggling at the thought.

"We'll see what happens when I walk down the aisle. I can't wait to see Mario. He's going to look completely handsome." Peach said, smiling as she caught sight of her reflection. She looked perfectly beautiful.

"Let's go see if everyone else is ready." Daisy said, and she and Peach made their way out of the room and downstairs, hoping everyone else was ready to go.

When they came downstairs, everyone froze as they caught sight of the Princess in her wedding day splendor. She looked more radiant than they'd ever seen her.

At that moment, Toadsworth came in, and his eyes widened when he saw Princess Peach.

"Oh my goodness..." he said.

"How do I look?" Peach asked him.

"You look lovelier than your mother did on her wedding day, and until now, she was the most beautiful bride I had ever seen." Toadsworth said as he ran to the princess. Apparently, he too couldn't believe that Peach was finally getting married.

"I know you've shown me my parents' wedding album, but are you sure I look more beautiful than Mother?" Peach asked.

"Of course." Toadsworth said. Then he sighed and said, "If only your parents were here to see this! They'd be so proud, and I know for a fact they would've liked Mario as soon as they met him and would've given the two of your their blessing a long time ago!"

"I know. I wish they were here, too, even though I never really got to know them. You're the closest that I have to a father. But I don't know if Mario ever asked you for permission to marry me." Peach said, giving her longtime steward a hug.

(A/N: In "Partners In Time", we see Toadsworth as a younger Toad, but we never see Peach's parents, nor are they mentioned. My guess is that they died when Peach was still in her infancy.)

"He didn't, but he didn't have to, because I know how happy Mario makes you, and whenever he finds out that you're in danger, he immediately leaps into action to save your life. He more than earned permission to marry you!" said Toadsworth.

"Thank you." said Peach.

"You're welcome." Toadsworth replied, before asking, "Is everybody ready? If so, then let's get going! We have a wedding to celebrate!"

And so ends the first chapter of this fic. In the next chapter, we'll see how the groom is holding up. Stay tuned if you wanna see!
