Be my valentine
Maura is nervous, no scratch that, she is starting to hyperventilate. Grabbing a handmade chocolate box that she wants to give to her crush, Jane Rizzoli. A school athlete. Famous. Everyone, straight or not manage to have crush with her. How could they not? Jane is beautiful, kind, and friendly. And Maura? A nerd, an outsider. She always looks at the floor whenever she walked. Totally different with Jane. Like heaven and earth
Okay Maura, you can do this, Maura took a deep breath. You can give Jane the chocolate and confess that you managed to admiring her since she helped you with your books when you almost tripped at 10th grade.
So, Maura grabbing her backpack and shoves the chocolate into her backpack and start walking into baseball court when Jane should be there because she is on training with her team.
At the court, almost all Jane Rizzoli fangirls shouting at Jane, and Maura only cringed at the sound
"Jane, please be my valentine"! said a redhead outside the court
"Jane, I love you" said a blonde with a t-shirt "I love Jane Rizzoli"
"Jane, please accept my chocolate"
"Jane! Go to dinner with me!"
and other sounds that Maura couldn't hear clearly. It's going to be a warzone today.
On the other side, Jane only could shake her head because of the sounds
"Dang, Rizzoli, you are famous" said her best friend, Frost
"Ugh, I don't like the attention" said Jane frustrated with all of the attention.
"Damn Rizzoli, What kind of charm that you give to them" Korsak said, looked at the fangirls
"Aww. Gayzoli is frustrated, Crowe mocked.
"Shut up, Crowe, you just jealous" said Jane
Jane walked into her locker with her best friends, already fresh and clean after taking a shower after training, she opened her locker and all the chocolates were
falling down into the floor. She picked up and exhales loudly, This didn't go unnoticed by Frost, who asked.
"What's wrong Jane?" Frost said and helped Jane picked up the fall chocolate.
"It just, frustrating. I don't need all the attentions like this", she said. Grabbed one of the chocolates and looked for a sender's name
"It just a day, Jane. A valentine day" , it will be okay Jane." Frost said, tried to relax Jane
"You are right, Frost. But, it's not the problem." Jane sighed
"Then what? Are you hoping for a special someone?" Frost tried to joked
"Yes, I was hoping for one chocolate from her. I got a crush for her from a long time ago"
"Damn Rizzoli, why you didn't tell me?" he said, feeling sad because his best friend didn't tell him any of this"
"It was nothing, I guess it is going to be one sided love" Jane said, feeling sad.
"Let's go Jane, we are going to Joe's, we will have a pity party for you", Frost said.
"Yeah, Let's ask Korsak first, then we will go.", Jane grabbed her backpack and leave with Frost
But what they didn't notice was Maura, standing there with her chocolate in tears
"Jane already crushing someone, she will not notice me. If I give her the chocolate, it would be a burden for her because she only wants a chocolate from her crush" she monologued, feeling sad because of this one-sided love.
Maura sniff, tried to hide her tears and turn and crashed into someone.
"Woah, Isles. Be careful" A man's voice surprise Maura
"Rizzoli, I am so sorry" She ran, leaving Frankie behind.
Frankie just stares at her, figuring what's wrong and looked at the floor where there is Maura's forgotten chocolate. and read it
"Dear Jane, I love you" - Isles.
Frankie muttered under his breath and said "Damnit Jane, you are a lucky girl"
At the Joe's
Frankie walked into Joe's, and looking for Jane. He saw Jane with Frost and Korsak ate Pizza and walked to their booth.
"Hey Frankie, Do you want to join Jane's Pity Party?," Frost asked him
"What pity party?, Frankie confused
"She is sad because she didn't got any chocolate from her crush" Korsak said
"Really, are you sure Jane? Frankie said
"Yes, I checked all the chocolate in my locker and I didn't receive anything from her", Jane sighed
"Because, I just met one of your fans and she dropped this" Frankie said and take the chocolate box and gave it to Jane.
Jane read the message and shouted, "Frankie!", she said
"Yes, Jane?!" Frankie asked, surprised.
"I need to find her. I need to tell her", Bye guys. Thank you, Frankie. I owe you one, she looked ecstatic, grabbing her backpack and run.
At the library,
Maura really tried to focus, she really tried. But even a science book can't mend her broken heart. She wants to curled up and cried over her broken heart. But someone kind of slammed into her desk in library.
"Maura, we need to talk." Jane said
"No. I am busy", she said and thinking "What would Jane possibly want from her" she mused.
"No, Let's talk. It didn't take long.", Jane pleaded.
"In here?" Maura asked and throw a glance into the library which are full with other students that looked at them amusedly.
"No, Follow me", Jane said.
Maura tried to follow Jane into an empty classroom. The school already almost empty.
"What is it that you want to talked about?", Maura said, tried to make her look strong.
"Is it your chocolate that you want to give for me?" Jane showed her the chocolate box
Maura surprised, thinking how could Jane got her chocolate and it comes to her attention that she crashed into Francesco Rizzoli, Jane's brother. Frankie must has grab it somehow
and give it to Jane. And she nods
"Do you mean it, Maura? Your message?" Jane asked, desperately.
"It doesn't matter anymore. You already made it clear that you already have a crush, Jane. Just throw it away", she said, sniffed and looked at the floor
"Well, I can't, Maura. I got a crush for a blonde girl who almost tripped in front of me at 10th grade.
Maura who still looked into the floor, lifted her head up with a red eye and filled with tears, surprised
"Do you have a crush on me, Jane?" Maura asked, not believing any of this
"Yes, Maura. I do. I already head over heels fall in love with you. I always watching you from afar." Jane admitted
"But you are Jane Rizzoli, you are the most famous person in this school. You could get every girl that you want" said Maura, still not believing any of this
"But I just want you, Maura Isles. It's always been you since we met." Jane said.
Jane moved forward to kiss Maura and when the lips connected. It feels like the butterflies were flying inside their stomach. The kiss ended, and they were touching forehead to forehead.
"I mean it Maura; It's always been you. Be my valentine, Maura Isles?", Jane asked
"Only if you become my valentine too, Jane Rizzoli" and Maura sealed it with the kiss
