Side Note - To Those reading the start of The Elemental Trilogy, it is a series of 4 stories that will go throughout 2021, and the first few chapters of The Elemental Legion will be to introduce the major new characters, and Chapter 4 will hold the true beginning and lead the Ninja to their new threat
Chapter 1 : New Year of Young Ninja
January 9th. . .
7:58 p.m.
Journal Entries : Princess Lydia
"It's been almost three weeks since the start of the new year, and tonight's the Dragon Day Festival, I'm really happy with who I've become over the past year, sure, I did stab my family in the back and almost destroyed the Young Ninja, but at the same time, I got my Mommy and Daddy back, I cured my Grampa of his darkness, Charlie asked me to be his Yang, there's no other life I would rather have, and this year will be another year with the life I've got"
"As for the others, I say they're all doing pretty good, Eric asked Alex to be his yang, and Felicia even ended up with Scott's son, Kaiden, who we met in Prime Empire 2, and it's for the better, and as for my family... well, another new year, and hopefully a new year of Young Ninja"
Right now, a heatwave had recently hit Ninjago City, giving them warm weather for about the next week, and during this time the citizens were celebrating the Dragon Day Festival.
Charlie was walking down the streets of Ninjago City with Haden, since the two of them started talking again, and they saw the Royal Family's Carriage in the Dragon Day Festival's Parade.
The two of them walked over, and saw Montgomery and Lydia with their parents.
Montgomery and Lydia were wearing their royal clothes, and Lydia waved to Charlie.
Princess Lydia : Hi, Charlie!
Charlie : Hey, Liddy.
Haden : You and the Princess, what's the story there?
Charlie : I don't know if I have that much time.
Haden : Sheesh.
Charlie : What about you?
Haden : I'm not sure, Shintaro's been treating me well, though Fungus sent me here to Ninjago City, when I finished learning everything he said he was allowed to teach me.
Charlie : What's that supposed to mean?
Haden : I think there's more to his Sorcery, then he lets around, especially around Me.
Charlie : Have you gone to see your sister yet?
Haden : No, they aren't here yet, and I don't want to be around my Dad right now, especially when I feel like this "business opportunity" is just to keep him away from his old life.
Charlie : That's right, and I can understand not liking it so much around my Dad, especially his anger during the conflict Sons of Garmadon last year, didn't you say he was an Outlaw?
Haden : Was, doesn't mean he still is... your turn.
Charlie : Okay, what about the others?
Haden : You mean the other Elemental Masters you met over the past year?
Charlie : Yea, Raiden, Finn, Cloud, any of them?
Haden : Nah, haven't really heard from anyone, since... that time.
Charlie : Why didn't any of you come during Garmadon's Reign?
Haden : I can't answer for the others, but as for me, I was in Shintaro, which was in lockdown after the Princess came for the masks, Queen Vania didn't want to get involved, that and I didn't want to be around Clayton.
Charlie : Fair enough, and I know you don't like him Haden, but I guess I'm just still hung on what things could have been like if any of you chose to join me, I mean I know my team is big enough as it is, but there can always be room for more of you guys in Ninjago.
Haden : It's nice of you Charlie, but I don't think I'm gonna be following another path like that for a while.
Charlie : That's fair.
Haden : I guess I just have my mind on Milly.
Charlie : Aren't you happy?
Haden : Yea, but I don't know what she's gonna think, she doesn't even understand the reason I left, all because my parents told her I was coming her for school, I just don't know how she'll see me with my powers.
Charlie : I bet she'd see you the same way she always did, having you as her brother... except for the job you chose for School, I mean seriously... The Ninjago Roll?
Haden : Hey, it's good when it comes to answering trivia based on Ninjago's History, or any of you guys.
Haden nodded, and Charlie pat his back, and Haden checked his phone and got a call.
Haden : I gotta run.
Charlie : Alright, I'll see you around Haden.
Haden : See you.
Haden walked away from Charlie, and he walked out into the city for the Festival.
Meanwhile. . .
In Obsidian's Penthouse.
Obsidian was with her mother, and her grandparents, and they were on the balcony space looking at the view of Ninjago City, as they had gotten back from enjoying the festival.
Lou : I figured you would have enjoyed this night, Siddie... you used to love all the lights.
Obsidian : I do, it's just not the same, seeing all this light, the music, it's just another reminder of everything I had with my Daddy.
Opal : Sweetie. . .
Opal put her arm around her daughter and hugged her, and Obsidian leaned over to her mother, and smiled.
Just then Lilly came outside, and handed a bowl of noodles to her granddaughter.
Obsidian : Thank you, Gramma.
Lilly : Of course, Sweetie.
Opal looked at the noodles and saw they were rainbow colored, since her daughter like having The Rainbow Noodles ( look it up, I'm telling you this is real )
While Obsidian wouldn't really be able to get over her father, she was glad the rest of her family, wanted to keep her happy.
Meanwhile. . .
At Jay and Nya's House. . .
Jay and Nya's House was in a village that wasn't far from the Outskirts of Ninjago City, and their house looked very similar to Garmadon's Monastery ( From Season 4 )
Akita brought Alex and Clayton over to Jay and Nya's House, mainly since Alex wanted to spend time with Eric, and Clayton wanted to talk with Nina about pranking Zach and Lucas.
Just then, they heard an interesting car horn.
Nina : Oh, come on. . .
Eric : Is that Gramma and Grampa?
Nina : Apparently.
Princess Alex : Who?
Eric : It's my Dad's Parents, Alexis.
Alex shrugged, but she smiled that Eric used her name ( Since Alex was technically her nickname, since it's what Lucas always called her ) and he grabbed her hand and helped her stand up.
Alex was wearing her White Longsleeve Knitted Sweater Dress, which had a Light-Blue Tutu sewed on it, and she was wearing Light-Blue Shorts. but the tutu of her sweater went past them so all they saw was her legs, and she Silver Heeled Boots, her Formling Cape, which looked like the tails of her animal form ( It was essentially the same as Akita's, only the tips of the tails of her cape were Dark Blue instead of Red ) and she had her Glossy Blue Lipstick, and her Arctic Fox Headdress, with her tiara.
Princess Alex : I don't know if I ever met them properly.
Nina : Might as well introduce you, we aren't getting out of it.
Just then, Jay, Nya, and Akita walked into the Living Room.
Nya : What was that horn?
Eric : It's Gramma and Grampa.
Queen Akita : Who?
Jay : My Parents.
Queen Akita : Ouch.
Nya laughed, since Akita agreed with how dreadful talkative parents could be, since her mother was the same when she was a Youngling ( Before she found her form )
and Nya's Mother was the same during a time when she didn't have control over her powers.
The group walked outside, and could see fireworks and lanterns, and the parade from the citizens celebrating Dragon Day, when the jalopy stopped in front of the house, with Ed and Edna talking to each other.
Ed : Oh, well it certainly is a fun night, we should go to the parade and show 'em our moves.
Edna : Oh stop it Ed, we're here for Nina and Eric.
Ed : I still don't get why Nina is always said first, Eric's the older twin.
Edna : Eh, it just sounds better.
The kids walked outside, and Edna saw Nina and Eric.
Nina : Gramma, Grampa. . .
Eric : What are you doing here?
Ed : Oh look who's decided to come out before we came in.
Nina : Grampa, Eric and I talked to you yesterday.
Ed : Better early than late, Nina.
Eric walked up in front and Edna saw her, and ever since the end of The Plague Doctor, Edna's been twice as excited as usual around Eric, since she still couldn't get it through her head that her grandson was alive, even over a year after it happened.
Eric : That doesn't even make any sense.
Edna : It's been too long since we talked to each other, my sweet little ninja grandbabies!
Eric : Gramma, I'm still alive, get that through your head, all of that was over a year ago.
Jay : Yea Mom, it's getting pretty irritating that you act all that excited and never stop talking about Eric, he's not Dead.
Edna : Not yet.
Eric : Shut up.
Nya : Eric.
Queen Akita : I know what it's like to have a talkative mother.
Nya : Same here.
Jay : Thank you.
Edna : Queen Akita.
Queen Akita : Mrs. Walker.
Just then Alex and she held her own hands and brightly smiled as Edna spoke.
Edna : Oh, and who are you... you are so little and cute!
Ed : Yep, you're just Eric's type.
Princess Alex : I'm Alexis.
Nina : Though everybody calls her Princess Alex, she's The Formlings' Princess.
Eric : And my Yang.
Eric kissed Alex's cheek, and she blushed.
Queen Akita : And my royal bundle of joy.
Akita wrapped her arms around Alex's waist, and lifted her into her arms, and hugged her, with her carrying Alex after parting.
Edna : You two look so much alike.
Princess Alex : Which is weird because I'm her stepdaughter.
Ed : Who's your real father?
Princess Alex : Acronix.
Edna : That time twin boy who used snakes that could turn back into warriors after being destroyed?
Princess Alex : Yea.
Queen Akita : Well Alexis, you know who you're real family is, and I know who my favorite little girl is.
Akita kissed Alex's Cheek, and Alex smiled at her mother.
Akita let Alex down, and the group turned to walk back inside the house, when Edna saw Alex's Tail from her Arctic Fox animal form and she spoke.
Edna : Eric, are my eyes playing tricks on me, or does your Yang have a tail?
Eric : It's part of her animal form, live with it.
Alex used her form to get rid of her tail, since she was tired of people mentioning it.
Princess Alex : Hey Eric.
Eric : Yea?
Princess Alex : Sometime you should come to the Heartland's Seabed, Cyrus Borg managed to construct a lab down there.
Eric : In the sea?
Princess Alex : Yea, and there's a tunnel underneath the Kingdom that leads into it, or you could use a Submarine and drive into the top of it, they use it for Fishing Purposes, and to uncover more species that are native to our home, or all of Ninjago.
Eric : Cool. . .
Meanwhile. . .
In Ninjago City, a girl wearing a Black and Forest Green Steampunk Cloak ( Or Tailcoat since the back of her cloak was longer than the front, since the tail of her cloak when past her knees ) which had "Victorian" themed designs on the Forest Green parts of her cloak, she was also wearing a Black Vest with Silver Buttons underneath her Cloak, Black Leather Pants, Forest Green Boots, and had her full lips painted with Glossy Red Lipstick ( Like Harumi's Lipstick when she was wearing her Civilian Outfit )
( This was Delilah's Civilian Outfit )
Delilah was riding down the streets of Ninjago City, away from the apartment building her brother lives at, so nobody would suspect her.
While Garmadon and Wu were watching her from across the street.
Garmadon : You're confident about her?
Master Wu : Yes, I've been keeping an eye of her for a while, and I can confirm it, she's The Elemental Master of Skylight.
Garmadon : But nobody's gotten a single trace of where she came from, are you really sure she's the daughter of Verdies?
Master Wu : We must believe so, yes.
Garmadon : Has their really been any way to prove the existence?
Master Wu : As of right now, no, but we have to keep trying, and see if the mythical city they all come from, is truly real.
Delilah was riding her bike, and smiling as she was delivering newspapers during the festival, though she didn't mind, and a friend of hers who had black and red-violet hair started riding next to her.
Person : Hey.
Delilah : Hey, Victoria.
Victoria : You getting used to the city?
Delilah : You getting used to having so much moxie?
Victoria : It's who I am, and It makes sense, I can't inherit an elemental power, so my power is my Mother's Moxie.
Delilah : Fair enough, heard there's supposed to be another Papergirl joining in a few days.
Victoria : Yea, though Sammy won't tell us who it is.
Delilah : We'll find out, the only thing I don't want people to find out is my secret.
Victoria : I can understand if you don't want to tell me, and believe me, you don't have too, you also don't have to tell the ninja masters following us in that car back there.
Delilah looked behind her, and saw Wu and Garmadon following them, with her and Victoria going down an alleyway, and after a few minutes, Garmadon and Wu lost them.
Master Wu : Crud.
Garmadon : We'll find her, but for now, I say leave it, we don't want to be pestering a little girl, Brother.
Master Wu : Very well.
The two masters drove away, and left Delilah and her friend, Victoria, alone, but they wanted to discover the Elemental Master's secret.
Meanwhile. . .
At The Formlings' Kingdom, Zach, Lucas, and Via were all with their father, and their Uncle Kataru, and a two other family members.
Via : Uncle Kataru, Aunt Kawauso!
Person : Mom, Dad!
Just then a girl entered the room where Kataru was talking to his wife, Kawauso, when the girl spoke.
Kataru : Yes, Tori?
Tori : I found my animal form!
Kawauso : Really?
Tori used her form, and her parents saw she was a Gray River Otter.
Kawauso smiled, and she used her form, which was the same, only her otter form was Dark Brown instead of Gray.
Kawauso hugged Tori while using her animal form, and the two changed back, and they were still hugging, only Kawauso was now carrying Tori in her arms as they hugged.
Kawauso : I'm so happy for you.
Tori : Thank you, Mom... Dad?
Kataru : I was giving you, your moment Tori.
Tori grabbed her father and he wrapped his arms around Tori and carried her as they hugged, with Kawauso joining the hug.
Tori : I can't wait to show Aunt Akita.
Kataru : Just wait a while Tori, she took Clayton and Alex to see Nina and Eric, they'll be back later.
Tori : Where's Uncle Brenden?
King Brenden : What is it?
They turned and saw Brenden enter the room, and Kawauso spoke.
Kawauso : Tori found her form, it's an otter, like mine!
King Brenden : Very nice.
Tori : Thank you, only mine's Gray.
King Brenden : Sounds like Clayton and Alex will like that.
Lucas : Where are they?
King Brenden : Your mother took them to see Nina and Eric, can't blame Alex for that, and who knows why Clayton went too.
Prince Zach : Probably for more pranking ideas.
King Brenden : I thought your mother and I told you and Lucas to stop pranking Clayton and Via.
Via : This'll break your heart Dad, but they don't listen to a word you say when it comes to Sibling Rivalry.
King Brenden : Yea, I got that.
Meanwhile. . .
On an uncharted island, was Aliya Morro, who was talking to another girl on the island.
Girl : So that's really the way you think this will go?
Aliya : Well what way do you see this ending, Thora?
Princess Thora : Plain and simple, Young Ninja are destroyed, your parents and brother are forced to serve us, and we will rule Ninjago, and our legion will be restored.
Aliya : If there ever was a Legion at all, that "legion" didn't even last a decade before it was disbanded, and almost every elemental master escaped or went into hiding, to avoid the Sons of The First Spinjitzu Master after the Serpentine War, my Mommy left after I died, so did my Daddy, and my Brother, and long before that my Mommy helped the other Elemental Masters escape.
Princess Thora : Not that it'll matter too much, a lot of those elements are connected to the Lightning, including Lightning itself, so they'll be the ones needed for this plan, including almost all the Elementals that left the alliance after the war, Fusion, Sprite, Skylight, Glass, my elemental power, yours, and there's a few others. . .
Aliya : You'll see the regret behind the path you're on in time Thora, I have, and sooner or later, you will too.
Princess Thora : Aliya, both your parents were on that path once, what changed?
Aliya : The way they saw the world, changed, over time my Daddy saw his master differently, and my Mommy saw what Ninjago truly was on it's own, while she was away, and she wanted us all to be part of that, when she knew I couldn't, she saw a way for her, my Daddy, and my Brother to have that life, and I made sure she took it.
Princess Thora : You made sure she took it, you were on your death bed?
Aliya : It was I die or they all die, I wasn't gonna let them try to take care of me, when there was nothing more they could have done for me.
Princess Thora : You're here now aren't you?
Aliya : Yea, but they don't know that, and if you decide to go with Gorin and Clouse, you are in the wrong business, why is it you don't see the world that Grampa and Uncle Alvaro are fighting for?
Princess Thora : They're fighting for this island, it should be the world.
Aliya : Well you're in luck then, eventually that invite will come and you'll get your fight and your legion.
Princess Thora : Perfect.
Aliya then grabbed Thora and spoke in a cold tone in her face.
Aliya : It will be the end of you Thora...
Aliya let go and walked away from the princess, not knowing what's driving her to fight beside corruptible people like Gorin and Clouse.
Inside the Palace. . .
Guard : Your Excellencies, Alvaro has returned.
Lord Taranis : Send him in. . .
The Guard opened the door and let Alvaro into the Throne Room, while the guard closed the door behind him as he left and Alvaro spoke.
Alvaro : Grandfather, Grandmother, the heist was successful.
Mistress Cynthia : Does this mean you have the last piece of the puzzle?
Alvaro : Yes, and while doing so I left the messages for the last of the Elemental Masters, and we have the one thing we need to return the Princess.
Lord Taranis : Good, then everything is in motion.
Alvaro : What about The Mark of The Black Scorpion?
Lord Taranis : Do not worry about them, those children may have the mark of the darkest side of the former Elemental Legion, but they do not have any say in working for their enemies, they choose who they become, and encompass all, not just to the side they were born from.
Alvaro : Because of their fighting, what about Aliya and Thora?
Lord Taranis : My Great-granddaughters do not need to follow this path if it is their choice, as for Gorin and Clouse, let them think they have complete control over this kingdom.
Alvaro : Grandfather, you founded the Legion of The Elemental Masters, and had no intention of tracking any down after Aliya's diagnosis, then the masters who were part of the legion went off the grid or escaped to Ninjago, and they were furious that there was no reason to track them down.
Lord Taranis : Those Elemental Masters were the only reason the kingdom wasn't attacked over the founding of the legion, and now that this place is armed and prosperous, there is no reason we cannot look for them now, we did not make any moves back then to ensure the future and safety of this place, and I will not let it all to the hands of Dark Magic, no matter how "fierce" their reputation.
Alvaro : I understand.
Mistress Cynthia : Very good Alvaro, you may leave.
Alvaro : Yes, Grandmother.
Alvaro left the room, and Taranis spoke.
Lord Taranis : Alvaro knows the risks of what he's doing.
Mistress Cynthia : Taranis, I'm not sure if it's a great idea, Alvaro is the only one who is able to help us, and if these risks get out of hands even before we make contact with Ninjago, then-
Lord Taranis : I understand Cynthia, but this is our one and only chance, the Aircraft Carrier will soon leave and make it's way to Ninjago, until then, Alvaro just needs to keep his head down.
Taranis kissed his wife's cheek, and he stood up from his throne and grabbed her hand, and the two of them walked out.
Alvaro walked outside, and spoke to himself.
Alvaro : I wonder what kind of mother you've become now, Monica. . .
Next Time on The Elemental Legion : A New Girl arrives in the City, and tries to move into her new home, while meeting Charlie and Lydia at the Noodle House, and trying to find her brother in the city, while she also finds a boy who takes an interest in her, but who they are may damage her relationship with her brother, while Wu hears of this new girl's surname, and believes she may be related to a hardened outlaw. . .
