Author's Note: After the success that is Spider-Man: Web of Remnant, I decided to go even further and create a RWBY/Avengers crossover. I'll get to the main story later, but for this particular fic, each chapter will explain the origins of different Avengers, such as Iron Man, Thor, Captain America (who I'm calling Captain Remnant here) etc. I'm still brainstorming what other Avengers would appear here, so if anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Any and all comments are welcome.

"A toast." Tony Stark called out raising his glass to General James Ironwood. The genius, billionaire, playboy philanthropist met with the leader of the Atlas military in his office at the Atlas site of Stark Industries. "Another contract signed for a weapon built by your truly."

"I appreciate all your efforts to help us, Stark." General Ironwood said. "We would lose a lot of good Huntsmen and Huntresses to the Grimm without your technology. And this missile that can target Grimm nests and leave humans unsinged is a great invention."

"You're too kind, Jimmy." Tony said. "Anything for peace in our time."

"We are at peace, you know."

"Sure, and that's why you're paying me billions for a missile, and why you got some of my best employees to race for the next big thing. By the way, I already approved of one."

"You did? Which one?"

"Dr. Polendina's robot girl invention." Stark pulled out his scroll and showed blueprints of a girl-like android said. "I mean, a weapon with an aura is futuristic."

The general chuckled. "I suppose it is."

The meeting was interrupted when they heard a man shouting from outside. Suddenly, the door opened up revealing a thin man with a thick mustache.

"This is an outrage, Stark!" he shouted in a British accent.

"Dr. Arthur Watts, the mustached life of the party. What can I do for you?" Stark asked.

"Don't play dumb with me." Watts growled. "I demand to know why you accepted Pietro Polendina's project and rejected mine!"

"Well, yours wasn't very original, and frankly, it was kinda obvious." Stark said. "Pietro's idea is both creative and flexible. True outside-the-box thinking. Why wouldn't I approve of it?"

Dr. Watts grunted before turning to Ironwood. "General Ironwood, surely, you don't approve of this absurd choice."

"I know you don't want to hear it, Arthur, but I actually agree with Tony." Ironwood said. "We're losing Huntsmen and Huntresses every day. This Penny Project could save lives."

Watts growled turning his head to both of them. "You'll regret this. Both of you." He turned to leave the office. The red-headed woman sighed and turned to her boss and general. "I'm so sorry, sirs."

"Don't worry about it, Pepper. I kinda expected it." Tony assured.

"You gotta be more careful, Tony." Ironwood said. "One misstep, and you could end up facing the wrong enemy."

"It's Arthur Watts." Tony said. "He'll blow a gasket if he doesn't get his way, he'll take some time to cool off, and he'll be over it. Right now, let's move on."

After the meeting was over, Tony had a personal military escort across the fields of the tundra. One of the soldiers cleared his throat to get his attention.

"Sorry, Mr. Stark. I know it's a bit unprofessional, but do you think I could get a selfie with you?"

"…Yeah, why not?" Stark replied. The soldier enthusiastically pulled his scroll out and sat next to the philanthropist and flashed a peace sign. "What do you think you're doing? Be professional. Just kidding. Give a salute to peace. After all, we'd be out of a job if we had peace. I think…"

BOOM!

The envoy immediately flipped to the snowbanks as a result of the explosion that threw it. The soldiers weren't prepared, and neither was Tony. The billionaire jumped out of an open door and landed in the snow. He covered himself in response to the sound of gunfire and even more explosions. Suddenly, something landed in front of him. It was only when he lost consciousness that Tony realized that it was a bomb.

Tony Stark groaned as he tried to wake up. He grunted feeling the intense pricking pain in his chest. As soon as he regained his sight, he met a middle-aged man sitting next to him. The entire room was dark and full of mechanical parts and tools, like a big garage.

"Hello, Mr. Stark. Before you ask, you've been out for three days. Believe me, it's a miracle with that shrapnel buried in your heart. Thankfully, I was able to use a makeshift battery to keep you alive. It's too bad you don't have an aura, though. It would've saved your heart."

Tony was confused for a moment until he saw the wires sticking into his open chest. They were also connected to a black box that was humming. After a few moment of processing his situation, Tony turned back to the man.

"Who are you? Where am I?"

"As for who I am, my name is Ho Yinsen from Mistral. As for where you are, you're in a White Fang base in Vale."

"White Fang?" Tony asked.

Suddenly, the door opened up. Several Faunus in Grimm masks entered the room followed by a bull Faunus with red, spiky hair and carrying a katana at his waist. Tony slowly sat back up to face his captor.

"Tony Stark. It's almost an honor." The bull Faunus said. "My name is Adam Taurus, and you are here to work for me."

"What do you need, other than a better barber?" Tony joked.

"Cute." Adam Taurus commented. "All joking aside, I want the same kind of missile that you just signed to the Atlas military."

"Got a Grimm problem?" Tony asked.

"Your missile, upon impact, creates a gas that damages the inner workings of a Grimm." Adam said. "I want you to create a modified version of it so it can kill humans, but not Faunus."

"You seriously think it's possible to modify a missile like that?" Tony asked.

"If anyone can do it, it's you." Adam said. "And since you can barely move, you can have Yinsen here as a lab assistant."

"Tough, because there's no way any invention of mine is going to be used to kill people."

Adam chuckled. "You arrogant fool. Your inventions are already being used by us."

"What are you talking about? All my inventions are sold to the military."

"The military can be infiltrated and stolen from." Adam said. "We've had spies in their ranks who've generously rerouted Stark Industries weapons to our doorstep."

Tony's eyes widened. "What?"

"So here's the choice we'll give you." Adam said. "Either you build us our human-killing missile, or we'll head to every human village we can find and kill every human with your weapons. Once the public sees us with Stark technology, then you'll take the blame. The Stark name will be ruined forever."

Stark hung his head sullenly. "Give me a week. Two tops."

Adam smiled. "I knew you'd listen. Get this man the supplies he needs, everyone. Oh, and don't try anything, Stark. We've got a camera watching your every movement."

The White Fang soldiers left the room. Yinsen and Tony were left in their lab.

"Well, that could have gone worse." Yinsen said.

"I'm being forced to build a genocidal weapon for a terrorist. What's worse than that?" Tony asked.

"They could separate you from your family like they did with me."

Tony frowned more. "Well, I don't have a family. Both my parents died when I was just a kid, and even if they're still alive today, I doubt my dad would make time for me. He's been saving lives since the Great War, and yet, he's stayed out of mine."

"That's a sad life, Stark. But if you were to escape from here, what would you change?"

Tony looked at himself in a nearby mirror and put on a determined face. "Everything."

Yinsen smiled. "All right. So what's the plan?"

Tony looked left and right seeing the supplies that were already there, such as crates full of heavy metal, rockets, and machine guns. He smiled and turned to his assistant. "You ever hear of something called an arc reactor?"

A week and a half went on by ever since Tony Stark got captured. The White Fang had been monitoring from outside the confinement watching Tony and Yinsen constructing. One day, Adam Taurus joined in on his fellow Faunus.

"What's the progress?" he asked.

"They look busy, sir." An otter Faunus replied.

Adam looked at the screen for a moment before putting on a serious face of suspicion. "Tell me. Did anyone give Stark any shaving tools?"

"No, sir. They're your orders."

"Well, then…" Adam pressed his finger at Tony's perfect goatee. "How is it that he hasn't grown any more hair than last week?! Get in there now!"

The White Fang picked up their weapons and approached the door. Once they opened it, they crept into a dark room. They took caution with each step until they heard a machine hum. A large figure took heavy, metal footsteps out of the shadows. It was a man in large, rusty metal armor armed to the teeth with guns and rockets, which he immediately fired on the Faunus. Half of them ran out of the room.

"Yeah! How do you like me now, suckers?" Tony called out from inside the armor.

Adam growled readying his weapon. But before he could unleash it, rockets fired from his metal feet and he charged forward tackling the bull Faunus out of the cave they were in. He threw Adam away and landed in between several Faunus camped and readying all their weapons. Those weapons came from a wooden crate labeled "Stark".

Immediately, Tony raised his arms and fired everything he had at random toward his captors. The White Fang raised their guns and fired at Tony, but his armor was too thick to be even fazed. Just then, one of his bullets ricocheted and bounced right to the cave entrance just as Ho Yinsen was leaving. He fell back upon impact.

"YINSEN!" Tony called out. He turned back to the White Fang and pulled out a few rockets which he used on the terrorists. He then jumped to them and swung so hard at them, they flew upon impact. Eventually, they decided to retreat and abandon the camp.

"GET BACK HERE, YOU COWARDS!" Adam yelled. He turned back to Tony, who started to aim all his weapons at him.

"One of your guys just shot at my friend. If you like living, don't give me an excuse."

Adam growled and turned to leave. "This isn't over, Stark!"

As soon as Adam disappeared from sight, Tony turned back to meet up with Yinsen, who was having a hard time breathing.

"Hang in there, buddy. We'll get you help." Tony assured.

"It's all right, Stark." Yinsen said. "I've got everything I want."

"How can you say that? We've got to get you home to your family right now."

Yinsen shook his head before confessing. "My family is dead. I'll be joining them soon enough." Tony almost lost his breath before removing his metal helmet. "Don't waste it. Don't waste your life, Stark." Yinsen lost what was left of his life.

After burying his friend and destroying his suit, Tony eventually came across a Huntsman who just graduated from Beacon Academy. He introduced him to Professor Ozpin and he arranged for Tony to be brought back to Atlas.

Once Tony arrived in a fresh, new suit, he was immediately welcomed back by his closes friends, which includes General Ironwood, Colonel Rhodes, and Pepper Potts. They guided Tony to a press conference who gathered after hearing how he was alive.

"Anything change while I was away?" Tony asked as he was being escorted.

"Well, I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you this," Ironwood said, "But Watts is dead. There was a Paladin incident a few days ago and…"

Tony frowned. He was then brought to the stage in front of many reporters. Professor Ozpin, who was curious about Tony Stark's return, came with and stood behind the crowd planting his cane to the ground.

"Mr. Stark, what happened?" a reporter asked. "Rumors say you were kidnapped by the White Fang."

"Filthy animals." Another reporter commented quietly.

Tony cleared his throat to get everyone to quiet down. "It's true. The White Fang took me. But they also opened my eyes. I came to realize that I had more to offer this world than just making things blow up. And that is why, effective immediately, I am shutting down the weapons manufacturing division of Stark Industries."

Immediately after that, the reporters roared in agitation. From the back, Professor Ozpin raised his eyebrows generally surprised at Tony Stark's announcement.

"Well, this should be interesting."

General Ironwood placed his hands on Tony's shoulders and guided him to another room where they can be alone.

"Tony, what was that?" Ironwood asked. "One kidnapping, and suddenly, you're shutting down all your weapons? That's your number one market."

"I'm sorry, general, but I realized just how dangerous my inventions really are. I can't have that on my conscience, especially in the near future."

"What do you mean?"

"The White Fang told me they had a lot more of my inventions on hand, and soon, they're about to use them."

"What? Do you know where they are?"

Tony thought for a moment. "No. I'm afraid not. Sorry, James."

Ironwood sighed. "It's okay, Tony. Just take a rest."

Upon returning home, Tony greeted his smart home system. "Hey, JARVIS."

"Welcome home, sir." JARVIS greeted. "Your press conference was quite a hit on the internet."

"I bet." Tony said. "Listen, there's something that I might need your help in." He went to the door on his left and walked down a flight of stairs entering an advanced laboratory.

"What might that be?"

Tony pulled out a holographic table and started using his finger to make sketches on it. His drawing eventually lead to him to make something that looked like the armor he wore to escape the White Fang. It was slimmer and looked more advanced, and Tony added a red-and-gold color scheme to it.

"This is what I want to make." Tony said.

"Permit me, sir, but didn't you say you were done making weapons?" JARVIS asked.

"This is different." Tony said. "No one's going to use this but me. The White Fang have my technology and I'm going to stop them."

"Wouldn't it be more advisable to let the authorities handle them?" JARVIS asked.

"If I tell anyone else, they might just end up confiscating my weapons for later use, and I need to destroy all of it. I've lead a life of destruction, JARVIS. Today, I start creating."

"And what will you be creating, sir?"

Tony smiled as he looked down his shirt and to his bare chest. In the middle of his pecs, there was a bright lens that illuminated softly. It was his arc reactor, a power source that's normally big as a house, but thanks to the tools in the White Fang's cave, Tony Stark managed to make a miniature one to prevent his death. That's how he planned to power the armor he was designing.

Tony looked back at his design table and gave his answer.

"Peace in our time."
