"Please don't shoot, I've got a family back home and I want to be with them, I won't call the cops and I'll delete the video footage, just let me live..."

Roronoa Zoro stood in front of the blubbering man, looking every bit sadistic and downrigh evil as he pointed a gun at a cashier while Leah placed all the money from the register into a duffle bag

"I know you have an extra vault where more money is stashed, where the fuck is it and don't fucking try lying to me or the only way your family will see you is in a fucking coffin" growled Zoro as he kept the gun pointed at the poor cashier

"It's in the storage room, the passcode is 110389, everything is there" the cashier whimpered

"Leah-"

"I'm on it, Zoro" called Leah as she ran to the room where the vault was located,

Zoro was looking around until a woman with long black hair and piercing blue eyes popped into the store

"Zoro, we have to go! Someone tipped off the cops, they're on their way!"

"The car's running?"

"Yeah, I'm just waiting on you and Leah" said the black haired beauty

"Le-"

"I heard Robin the first time, I already got the cash and a few extra things, let's go" Leah answered as she threw the duffle bag at Zoro and took out her own gun and aimed it at the cashier

"Now, how about being a dear and go lock yourself in the storage room, this is the most gracious we're being, so get lost before I get trigger happy"

The cashier didn't need to be told twice as he went and locked himself in the storage room

Once Leah and Zoro had jumped into the car that was waiting on them, Robin drove them out of there, driving towards the nearest small town they could find to stay the night

"I got a call from Luffy and Usopp, they're staying somewhere near Mississippi, while Sanji, Franky and Nami are in Florida" said Robin as she checked her GPS to find the next town

"What about Brook and Chopper?" asked Leah

"Already waiting for us at the main hideout, they made sure no one is watching them and they're only using burner phones to communicate with us" Robin explained

"How much gas do we have in the tank, Robin?"

"Why do you ask, Zoro?"

"Look, if what you say is true and the police are already after us, I see no reason to keep going to the next town to rest, let's just keep driving to the main hideout where Brook and Chopper are, Robin call everyone else, tell them to move and to ditch their phones once we call them, we can't have anyone else on our ass"

Leah looked at Zoro, his face stern and determined, she always knew that he was mature for only being 23 years old, she had always said that Zoro deserved to be given the title of Luffy's second-in-command, his most trusted right-hand man, because of his qualities to lead in dire situations and this certain situation proved it

It's what she loved about the moss head

"Leah, hey you good?"

Leah shook out of her musings and looked at her boyfriend, giving him a toothy smile

"I'm fine, just thinking is all"

Zoro smiled back and intertwined his fingers with hers

"Remember" Zoro whispered, as he leaned towards Leah

"This is not gonna be our lives forever, we will have that happy ending you and I always dreamed about, this is just temporary"

Leah, leaned into Zoro's calloused hands, holding onto his words like a lifesaver

"I know, I love you, Roronoa"

"Aishiteru, Leah"

Once Robin gave Zoro's orders to the others, they had decided to stop at a nearby park to use the restrooms, they just had to make sure the place was devoid of people

On the other side, Captain Smoker and Detective Tashigi tried to follow the lead that would apparently take them to the Straw Hat Burglars, the rowdy bunch of thieves and crooks that were taking over, two of the members had already robbed a store and had booked it once they were told the police were called

They had stopped on the side of the road in an attempt to communuicate with the police department

"Smoker, we're losing track of them, there's nothing but dirt road from here on out and our phones are losing signal" sighed an extremely frustrated Tashigi, getting out of the cruiser to stretch her legs

"Don't lose your head, Tashigi" was all Smoker said as he took out a cigar and lit it up, trying to calm his own frazzled nerves but staying inside the cruiser

"We are gonna catch those punks and we are gonna put them behind bars, I guarantee that much, but we won't be able to do that if we flip out over any small inconvenience we get along the way"

"You're right Smoker, I'm sorry"

"Don't be, now come on and let's keep moving, if they already reached the next town or county, we have to make sure we stay on them and leave them no breathing room"

"Yes sir, Captain"

And so they kept driving, hoping to get at least some info on the Straw Hat's whereabouts

Zoro, Robin and Leah continued their road trip back to the main hideout, but because the GPS had died out and no longer worked even with the new batteries Leah had bought, they were gonna have to go by written directions, which Robin thankfully had jotted down should such a problem like this had arrived

"Okay, so from what I've seen, we are an hour away from reaching Louisiana, and give or take, it usually is a four to five hour drive just to leave the state and get to Texas, where the hideout is, we should take turns driving once we reach Louisiana, I'm already getting tired and I don't want to cause an accident because I was careless" Robin explained as she parked near an abandoned warehouse, looking over the map she had stolen from the last gas station they looted

"If you want, I can start driving now" Leah offered as she got out of the passenger seat, Robin smiled at her in thanks and she took off her seatbelt and got off to sit in the back to rest her eyes

"Okay, Zoro you can come sit up with me in the passenger seat"

"You just don't want me driving because you think I'll get us lost" grumbled Zoro as he came up to the front

"What? No way, I'd never say that about you" Leah gasped, acting offended

Zoro just stuck out his tongue and Leah just laughed

"I hope the others are okay" whispered Leah, seeing that Robin had fallen asleep behind them

"They will be, once we reach Texas, we'll find a cheap motel to stay for the rest of the night and we'll keep going at first light tomorrow morning, as much as I wanted to keep us going nonstop, we can't"

"Don't start doing that"

Zoro looked at Leah with a confused expression

"I know when you start having doubts about your decisions, you shouldn't, Luffy didn't choose you as his right-hand man if he didn't think you could be a good leader when he's not here, Luffy would give you a good tongue lashing if he saw that you were having doubts"

"I know, just want to make him proud"

"And you are, Roronoa, when Luffy can't call us to give us orders, he knows he can count on you to make the tough choices, no matter how hard they are"

Zoro grinned and grabbed Leah's hand, giving her fingers a light kiss

"Let's keep going, we have a lot more driving to do before we reach Texas" said Leah as she started the car and drove out of the warehouse parking lot
