"Kids, we're getting a divorce," these are words children don't expect to hear coming from their parents. This is the story of how a family of thirteen, the Louds are going through one of the most life changing decisions many families face around the world. Let's start from the beginning to various events leading to the dissolution of this once dysfunctional family.

Sometime ago

"Well we're all done, guys," Luna, sixteen years old, an ambitious rocker girl declared while seven of her sisters stood around a display they worked on smiling with satisfaction.

"We are definitely gonna win for sure," another girl wearing a sports jersey with the number 1 printed on the front chimed in.

"It's a shame you're grounded and not allowed to compete Luan," Lana piped up.

"Yeah Luan if it wasn't for the prank you played on Principal Rivers, mom wouldn't have grounded you," Leni piped up.

The girl in question Luan, the comedian of the bunch sighed frustratingly, then suddenly a vision of her brother came across her mind.

"But you have to make sure that Lincoln stays away from the display," she warned the others.

"Why?" Lucy inquired, one of the preteen sisters, a Goth.

"Don't you remember he ruined Loris golf clubs to make us think he was you know what and when he almost ruined the reputation of Funny Business and caused Lynn's bike to get stolen. That's why he cannot go near the display in case he makes something happen to it," Luan explained.

The other girls started getting a bit worried about the likelihood of their brother possibly destroying the display they worked so hard on whether by accident or otherwise. They had signed up for a competition where local girls related to each other can display their talents on a diorama which they had to demonstrate at the contest along with giving a performance for the judges. One of the twins Lana had built a diorama for the sisters. Lola, Lana twin, had placed her first pageant dress she wore at her first pageant on a small mannequin. Leni displayed the first dress she sewed at five years old and Lynn Jr. the athlete of the family placed the first sports jersey she ever wore on mannequins and Luna had her first guitar laying on a mini stand. Lana placed her first toolbox next to Lunas guitar while the two beakers the genius sister Lisa used for her first experiments and the first notebook she recorded the experiment into stood next to Lana's toolbox and Lucy's first poetry journal.

"That's a good idea, make sure the no talent loser doesn't go anywhere near it," Lynn Jr exclaimed smugly.

However, they weren't aware of the subject of their discussion Lincoln just awoke from a nap on the sofa as Leni commiserated about Luan being unable to participate in the competition. As he continued listening Lincoln became irritated each second as Luan listed out his mistakes to the other girls. He slowly rose from the couch, his face showing his annoyance by the crimson hue on his cheeks.

"So I have no talent huh!" they heard behind them. Facing their brother, he glared at them intensely.

"Hey little bro," Luna began nervously, feeling very uncomfortable as he continued glaring.

"We just don't want anything to happen to the display," Leni admitted.

"Because you can be klutzy," Lola chimed in a haughty tone.

"And you've ruined many things already," Lynn Jr added.

"Fine, you don't have to rub it in," he replied irritatingly.

Storming into his room, Lincoln closed the door rather hard, but the movement caused the top shelf of the diorama to collapse, causing Lana's toolbox, Lucy's poetry journal, Lunas guitar and Lisa's notebook and beakers to fall onto the items below, alarming Lincoln.

Instantly a tiny voice told Lincoln to lock his bedroom door once he heard the clattering outside. You see the sisters had erected the diorama near his bedroom and Lisa's and the reverberation caused the diorama to shake.

Every sister except the grounded Luan became furious at seeing every item laying haphazardly. One of Lisa's beakers sported a crack which was there previously, luckily the other items weren't damaged.

"LINCOLN, YOU KLUTZ, YOU DESTROYED OUR WORK," Lola shouted.

Lynn, Luna, Lisa and Lola proceeded to bang on the door furiously as Lynn Jr. yelled, "GET OUT HERE YOU JINX SO WE CAN PULVERIZE.."

Suddenly….

"GIRLS, WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!"

The girls immediately stopped their rage and turned around to face their mother, Rita Loud looking really absolutely irate at her daughters. Lola then started playing the blame game by pointing at Lincoln as the one responsible.

"Its Lincoln he deliberately ruined our diorama," Lola whined.

'He slammed the door and everything fell down," Leni added.

"Mom how was I to know everything was going to fall, they placed it too near the door," Lincoln said.

Rita approached the scene of the 'crime' and scanned over the fallen items. Picking up the mannequin with Lola's first pageant gown, Rita looked at it closely for any tears or spots and didn't find any.

"Girls from what I see, everything is fine, I can't believe you're ready to tear Lincoln to pieces over this," Rita told them sternly.

"But," Lynn Jr. began.

"No buts, LJ, now if any of you think of harming Lincoln, you won't be participating in the contest and grounded for a month, do you understand me," Rita said, arms laying on her hips.

Before Rita returned downstairs the girls thoroughly chastened gave her resigned looks.

"It will only take a few minutes to put it back together," Rita told them.

"Let's bring everything downstairs and place it near the fireplace," Luna suggested then she grabbed one end of the diorama and Lynn the other while the other sisters started picking up the items.

Inside his bedroom Lincoln breathed a sigh of relief and commenced reading one of his comics.

By dinnertime the sisters were completely cooled down and never interacted with Lincoln at the table. After dessert, Luna and Luan washed the dishes and everyone else went about doing various activities including homework until bedtime.

The next two days passed by quietly without incident. The second day, a Saturday was the competition for the girls but they returned home in an unhappy mood since they placed third. Even Lincoln attended to support his sisters.

"Third place, Lynn Loud Jr doesn't get third place," the athletic girl grumbled.

"Those judges just don't know talent even if it bit them in the as-arm," Luna griped.

"Girls, it's soon dinnertime, so relax until I call you," their father Lynn Sr. greeted them.

Monday

Today had been quite hectic to say the least and Rita was currently laying on the couch totally drained.

She requested the children not make any noise while she rested, so they remained as quiet as possible. But the peace wasn't to last when she became aware of Lola's presence seven minutes later.

"Mom, Lana's drinking out of the orange juice carton," the pink clad twin tattled in a whiny voice.

Sporting a frown, Rita shouted, "Lana haven't I told you not to drink out of the carton," then Lola went back upstairs.

A mere two minutes later, she heard Leni screaming, 'EEEK A SPIDER," and two pairs of footsteps running down the stairs.

Rita became irritated at being disturbed a second time and yelled at Luan, "Luan knock it off."

Leni being grateful for her mother rescuing her dashed back upstairs, Rita grabbed the fake spider from Luan's grasp.

'HEY," Luan protested.

"You know your sister is afraid of spiders and you continue to chase her with this, I'm taking it until you learn to stop using Leni's phobia to scare her," Rita scolded.

'Bu," the comedian started.

'Upstairs," Rita commanded, as Luan ascended the stairs, Lola's voice resounded into the living room from the kitchen area.

"MOM, NOW LYNN'S DIPPING HER FINGER IN THE PEANUT BUTTER," the girl tattled once more.

Still irritated, Rita then made her way into the kitchen and confronted the girls, addressing Lynn first.

"What did I tell everyone about not dipping their fingers into the peanut butter," she reprimanded Lynn.

'And Lola, what did I tell you about tattling," she scolded then grabbed Lola's right arm and walked with her to a corner near the fireplace.

'You're staying in this corner for seven minutes until you learn to stop tattling on your brother and sisters," Rita admonished.

"Mommy," Lola began pleadingly.

'Don't try to be manipulative with me," Rita warned the self-proclaimed princess.

The bratty child began to pout and folded her arms while Rita laid back down and watched her daughter for a while before turning on the TV to the channel showing the local news.

More to come…
