All Within One

As the cold breeze blew against her body, she continued walking forward. The crickets around the foliage giving away the time of the night, she found herself in awe and admiration at the construction that laid before her eyes.

It was something magnificent. 50 meters of tall concrete from what little she knew through the memories of the boy that was before her. Humanity has managed to keep themselves caged inside of that wall—those walls, for as long as a century—all for the sake of survival, or better yet, for the cause that they have probably long forgotten about.

The scent of fresh grass filled up her lungs as she darted her grey eyes left and right. She was looking for a threat, for something that may or may not come to eat her, but nothing appeared in her sight. It was dead silent, though, if she strained her ears enough, she could hear a small talking somewhere nearby, faint but noticeable.

She took a step forward and heard it.

"I'm so sorry, Reiner."

The voice of the boy who had apologized for something he had done with tears on his face, the face of the blonde boy frozen on the spot in front of him. All of that was what the black-haired girl saw, heard, and felt. It wasn't present at the moment as one might guess, since it was anything but a memory that had been ingrained in her mind. Even so, soon after, it came.

The ground was shaking, lifting as a mound. The figure taller than the boy could ever be rose from below. It noticed the frozen blonde and quickly went for the bite, but the boy that was before her pushed him out of the way, being eaten instead of him.

His name had been Marcel Galliard. She knew from the memories that she had received from him.

"I'm sorry, Marcel. . . but I won't regret my second chance."

In the dead of the night, the girl whispered as she walked closer to the wall. Every single step closer made her realize how absolutely big the walls were, and in normal circumstances, she would've wondered how she would've gotten inside to not be caught by one of them.

However, she simply took a look at something on the wall.

The massive hole that had been made not too long ago.

Colossal. Something inside the girl's mind whispered and she subconsciously nodded her head in understanding.

She made her way toward the hole and carefully peeked inside, watching some of them simply laid on the devastation that had been brought on the citizens who'd lived inside. The girl could only pity them, for she knew that some of them had been children like her. Stopping her train of thoughts before she caught herself in one of those episodes once more, she moved inside of the wall and felt something zap her body.

A jolt coursed through her body, and she looked around. A confused expression was evident on her face as she whispered to herself. "What in the name of. . .?" She trailed off once she blinked, noticing that something was amiss.

She was no longer near vegetation or destruction, nor was she near the massive walls.

"Where am I?" She asked to no one.

The place where she had arrived was something akin to a desert. The night sky painted across with stars. There was a giant light in the distance, shaped like a tree trunk as its branches bled into the sky above. It was such a beautiful sight to behold for her, that she kept staring at it for a time before something snapped her out of her daze.

"Somewhere where we can finally talk."

The girl's eyes snapped and she whirled her around faster than she ever thought she could. The boy from her memories—Marcel—was standing in front of her, eyes drowned by a shadow that didn't allow his eyes to be seen, even with such a light in front of him.

"Marcel?" She asked in shock.

Marcel said nothing for a second, before sighing. "I. . . don't know why am I here. All I remember is being eaten by you and then. . . poof. . . appearing here."

"I—"

Marcel stopped her from saying anything. A sad smile crossing his face as he stepped closer to her. He puts a hand on her naked shoulder and said. "Don't worry, Ymir. I know you had no control over your actions."

The girl—Ymir—looked down at the sand and began asking questions. "So, who are those in your memories? How did I know they were memories? Why were you here in the first place?"

"To save the world." Marcel declared at the last question, with no emotion, as though he felt that it wasn't a good thing. Then, he continued to answer the rest. "The blonde boy, Reiner, Berthold, Annie, and I were sent to retrieve something and save the world from the threat of the Titans. All for the sake of getting back home and be with our families. I blame myself for why I had done to Reiner, who had always been the most perseverant candidate for one of the Nine."

"He froze and I appeared," Ymir recalled the memory once more. The face of Reiner had been frozen in a mix of confusion and heartbreak. "You saved him, and I ate you."

"Yeah," Marcel mumbled out. "Once you ate me, something made you get my memories right away, though I don't know what exactly, and now we are here. Though, can I ask something of you now I'll be unable to do anything?"

Ymir looked up in silence, conflicted. She didn't want to do anything for anyone but herself, as she knew how people could use you for one thing or another. That was proven by the Cult leader that had sold them out. Even so, she felt obliged to listen, as she was indebted to him for allowing her to have a second chance.

"What is it?"

"Can you please save the world?"

Ymir blinked, thinking that she misheard it, and mumbled out. "What?"

"Save the world so they can go home, please, Ymir. Just do that, and I'll be eternally grateful."

The freckled girl pondered about his words, and her immediate answer was to decline. She didn't voice it out, though, as something stopped her from doing so. The sand beneath her had started to shift around and move toward a certain place that she followed where the sand was going with her head. When Ymir turned to face Marcel and say her answer, she found that he no longer was there, and was drawn to walk toward the place where the sand was going.

After doing that, Ymir found a blonde girl of her age with a wooden bucket in her hands staring at her, shadows similar to Marcel's over her eyes. The blonde girl seemed to be in surprise from what Ymir could discern with her eyes. the bucket fell off the blonde girl's hand, and she stared at her on hands with confusion, or so Ymir thought it was confusion.

"Who. . . are you?" Ymir asked, wanting to know the identity of the mystery girl. If Marcel is here, does that mean anyone eaten by a Titan is here or something?

The blonde girl looked at her for a solid minute, making Ymir grow uncomfortable, and the black-haired girl silently cursed herself, thinking that she could've struck a sore spot without meaning to. However, the blonde girl kneeled on the sand and began to write something with her finger. Ymir edge closer, hesitantly, trying to not bother or make the girl writing have discomfort.

Her eyes widened when she saw what was written.

Ymir Fritz

"You are. . . my namesake?" Ymir asked, flabbergasted at the prospect. She took a good look at the blonde before her. She'd always wondered what her namesake would look like. She had thought of her as someone that gave away power and benevolence—since the cult always said that—but finding out that she looked like an orphan—like her when she had first been found—was a surprise.

Ymir Fritz nodded as she got up from the ground.

"What are you doing in this place, then?" Ymir asked her namesake. "I was told that you were a goddess by the cult and a devil by everyone else, is this heaven or maybe hell? "

Ymir Fritz frowned at her words, something Ymir quickly noticed and looked around worriedly.

Have I said something I shouldn't…? Ymir wondered, then it struck her. Ymir Fritz didn't look like she wanted to be there in that place, and as Ymir narrowed her eyes, the cogs inside of her mind began to move at an accelerated pace.

From everything she knew, and what little of Marcel's memories she had seen, Ymir was considered by everyone as anything except a human being. Slave. Devil. Goddess. Original Titan. The historians were always using one of those, something she wasn't quite sure Ymir Fritz had chosen herself.

Almost as though… as though it had been chosen for her.

"Hey," Ymir carefully started. Her voice was soft and gentle as she tried to take away the frown on Ymir Fritz's face. The blonde girl looked at the freckled girl dead in the eye, even with those shadows covering them, and a shudder ran down Ymir's spine. "I can see that you disliked me saying that you are a Goddess or devil. Sorry about that, but in my defense, I have only heard about you when it came to those two beings. I never realized that you were like me."

Ymir Fritz's frown disappeared from her face as she heard Ymir talking.

"Now I realize," a sudden headache struck Ymir, but it disappeared as quickly as it came, she frowned now but continued talking. "That you are just like me. Only human. We were given roles that were never really wanted, and at the end of the day, we paid for it. You became the devil for the world, and I became a nightmare for Paradis."

Ymir took a step forward toward Ymir Fritz and hugged her, surprising the blonde girl. There were no words spoken, and silence drowned any sound that could be made in that place. Ymir simply hugged the blonde tighter, giving her the warmth that the so-called Goddess always desired.

"You are only human, just like me."

The words were spoken by Ymir after the silence carried a weight that not many people would understand, only those who shared a story similar to them would.

Ymir Fritz felt warmth rising on her chest and wetness on her cheeks.

I—Thank you. . . Ymir Fritz thought in honest appreciation as she hugged back. Thank you so much.

Annie was climbing up high the wall, trying to get away. The mission, she knew, wouldn't be a success. She had no idea where Reiner and Berthold were at the moment, but she knew for a fact that they were far away from her position, unable to do anything even if someone told them at this very moment what was happening.

In her desperation, she dug her hardened fingers on the wall and started climbing up. Her limbs were heavy due to being drained of energy from the fight with Eren, who could be the target of her mission. Even so, she continued to go for her escape. If she died here or was captured, all for what they have fought for was going to be in vain.

She couldn't allow that to happen.

Not after Marcel sacrificed himself to save Reiner, which brought her.

The sound of releasing gas caught her attention, and her heartbeat quickened as she noticed a shadow above her head. She looked up and saw the black hair and the red scarf, and she knew her time was up. There was no possibility to win as she was now, and as she stared at the figure of Mikasa Ackerman whirling around in the air like some sort of spinning wheel, Annie cursed inwardly as she stared at the target the Ackerman was going for.

Her finger, to the part that wasn't hardened.

Annie's blue eyes widened as she felt her skin being torn apart, and Mikasa landing on her fingers, with a hardened face, full of hatred hidden in the Asian's eyes.

"Annie," Mikasa said, looking down on Annie. "Fall."

And she jumped, gravity already doing its work.

Annie began to fall, and in the last attempt at not getting caught, she knew what she had to do. Annie only hoped her father would forgive her for doing it, with all her being she prayed that he did.

She let half of her body out from her Titan's nape and screamed at the top of her lungs. "YMIR!"

For a moment, she was able to see Mikasa's face. The shock was evident in her features, and as Annie rolled her head to see Eren, she could guess that he was, too. Everyone else was the same, some in shock and confusion, but everything was going to be over for her anyway.

The sound of gas releasing came to be, and a lightning bolt struck the air. From it, the Jaw Titan formed from the bones and flesh that always magically appear for them. Annie saw its mouth coming closer and closer for her, and she released herself completely from her Titan. The mouth of the Jaw closed in and snapped shut. The pain traveled through Annie's body, but as the numbness moved first she couldn't scream in pain.

She simply closed her eyes and allowed herself to be consumed.

"Hello, Annie. Sadly, we had to reunite this way."

Annie's eyes snapped open in confusion and she quickly got up from being face down on the sand. She looked around, and her eyes landed on Marcel, who was sitting by a campfire. Annie had many questions, but she looked up for a second to look at the starry sky and the tree of light that was bleeding on it.

"Marcel? How—?"

"Don't question it and be happy."

Ymir's voice made Annie whirled around and face her, as the tall young woman was standing right behind her. Ymir's face gave away nothing but sadness, and she walked up to the blonde girl, grabbing Annie's hand, to get her closer to Marcel.

Once they reached his position, Ymir let go of Annie's hand and looked at her. "Look at you, just as the day he last saw you."

Annie tilted her head and looked down at her body with scrutiny. She was in a much younger body, and as Ymir had said, it was very much similar to her body when Marcel had been eaten by her. Annie didn't know how to feel, her face became blank without showing emotion, the coldness that many of the 104th cadets knew about.

Though, Ymir simply laughed at it. "Come on! Weren't you the one that asked me to do this?" She asked, and patted Annie's head. "Don't worry, I'll take care of everything from now on. I'll need your help, though, getting out of the wall is going to be complicated without killing them."

"Why would you need my help?" Annie questioned, not minding Ymir patting her head. "You already have the power of the Female Titan with you. My memories will show you how to use it, and even my techniques will slowly seep into you."

"True," Ymir chuckled, her grey eyes shining with resolve and she kneeled to be eye to eye on the same level as Annie. "But I need all the help I can get to free all of you from this cruel world."

Annie caught onto the inflection in Ymir's words and inquired as she raised an eyebrow. "All. . . of us?"

Ymir looked over Annie's shoulder, and the blonde girl followed her sight. Marcel was looking in that direction, too. Arriving at the campfire, was another blonde girl whose eyes were covered in shadows. Annie felt some connection to the girl, as she felt something tugging at her heart.

"All of us," Ymir said once more. "So, Leonhart. Will you give me your strength?"

Annie looked back at the new holder of the Female Titan and replied. "Fine."

Armin couldn't believe what he was seeing with his own eyes. they had managed to corner Annie and made her fall from the wall, but after Annie had called out Ymir's name, he knew many of his friends had frozen.

Then, from the left, Ymir appeared and a lightning bolt similar to Annie's and Eren's struck her body, a Titan appearing from it. Ymir ate Annie whole and reached down to fall on the ground, her titan simply staring at the ground as though nothing had happened.

Sudden steam was expelled from Ymir's titan, and she came out of the nape. There were markings on her eyes that ran down her cheeks, and she looked up at the sky. Soon after, she laughed. It wasn't the same as Annie's laughter, but something similar, as though she knew that none of them that were watching the scene in shock could beat her.

"No way," Jean mumbled under his breath beside Armin. His face was frozen in shock, sweat running down his face. "Ymir's a titan, too?"

Armin understood Jean, he too, was no better than him on the inside. He turned around to see Eren's titan.

Eren roared in wrath.

Steam poured out violently as Eren quickly lunged forward toward Ymir, who quickly took notice of this. The freckled young woman bit into her hand, and another lightning bolt cracked the earth as the sound pierced through everyone's core and made Armin put his hands over his ears to stop them from bleeding from the ear-piercing shriek that came.

Armin looked at where the lightning bolt struck and was in awe. Another Titan with a female frame, this time with olive skin and tiny holes on the cheeks. The hair was a mixture between black and blonde, and the left eye was blue while the right one was grey. Covering her mouth, was a skull-like jaw with sharp teeth, in her fingers there were also sharp claws, that were also on her feet.

Ymir looked at Eren and simply opened her palm. A shriek escaped her lips as she swung it at his face, hacking off half of it as it was nothing with the help of the claws. Eren quickly came down, but the burning rage within him was still going on as he tried to get up. Unfortunately for him, Ymir quickly opened her jaw and put the head of Eren's titan within it, she snapped the mouth shut before ripping off the head from its body.

Eren was visible within the nape, his eyes in frozen anger as he stared at the massive figure of Ymir's titan towering before him. Mikasa quickly made her move toward the nape, only to find it blocked by hardening that was of the same material as her jaw. Once Ymir heard the ODM, she whirled around to find Mikasa looking at her murderously, and the freckled Titan simply chuckled at the sight.

He'll live. . . for now. I have to find Christa and make her stay safe from this madness. Ymir thought as she made her way to the wall. She stabbed the wall with her fingers and feet and started ascending.

"She is escaping!" Jean announced.

"Stop the Female Titan from escaping! Dedicate your hearts!" A scout declared.

But before they could do anything, Ymir impulse herself faster than before, as though she had no trouble climbing up the wall. Once she reached the top, she pulled herself to stand atop it, staring down at them as some sort of Goddess.

A smirk crossed Ymir's lips, and she turned around and jumped away from them. Once Ymir touched the ground, her massive new Female Jaw Titan shook and the pain was felt throughout her entire body.

She looked at the palm of her hand, and saw Ymir Fritz—Fy, as Ymir had started to call her—pointing in a certain direction.

And Ymir moved in that direction.

Next to get, Colossal Titan.

A/N: I was inspired and made this. Also, since Ymir was not even mentioned in the ending of Attack on Titan broke me a little bit, so I made this as a way to cope. I hope that anyone that sees this likes the idea, and as always, you can use this as inspiration. Let's do some fics where Ymir gets to live or have a more important role.

Also, give your thoughts on this fic.
