Characters: Lily and Harry
Lily and Harry stood in the kitchen getting out equipment and ingredients out of the cupboards they were making brownies for the school harry attended for their school fete.
Lily hummed softly and said "Harry dear wash your hands." Harry replied "yes Momma." he went over to the sink and washed his hands with Lavender soap and then dried his hands on a tea towel.
They both put on aprons and Lily set up the wizarding wireless radio then walked over to the fridge and got the chocolate out and dug a pan out and filled it with water and put it on the oven top and got a bowl over the pan she was going to do a bain-marie the chocolate and set a stasis charm to alert her when it was melted.
Lily and Harry started to measure out ingredients for the rest of the recipe whilst measuring out flour a little bit went all over counter and over there aprons they both laughed and the stasis charm alerted Lily the chocolate was melted she put on kitchen mittens and carefully lifted the bowl and brought over to the counter and combined it together with the other ingredients in the bowl.
Harry put the spoon in the bowl and mixed it a bit too quickly and had a case of butterfingers and the spoon fell out and onto the floor with a bit of a puddle his eyes welled up with tears Lily noticed and said "its okay baby it's a quick easy fix don't cry." she wandlessy cast scourgify the mess disappeared instantly Harry's face brightened at the sight of magic and clapped his hands out of happiness.
She smiled softly at her son and asked harry to put marshmallows in the mixture before pouring it into a pie tin to put in the fridge lining it with biodegradable parchment paper first before pouring in the mixture to put in the fridge to set and keep cool Lily poured the mixture in the pie tin and carried it over to the fridge and put it on the shelf.
A chocolate moment filled with love from a mother and son baking project it was the next day the brownies sold out pretty quickly and soon enough they where all out of brownies the school was raising money for a charity of their choice and the year group chose James house medical care for wounded veterans.
Lily felt a pang in her chest for her deceased husband who died protecting herself and Harry when they were attacked by Voldemort it still haunted her but protecting her son was more important even if she had to live secluded from people she will.
A week later after the money was counted up from the bake sale and other activity the school raised one hundred and ten pounds for charity everyone cheered and clapped and Lily smiled softly.
The head of the charity Sirius Black came into the assembly hall and thanked everyone for their effort and how much it meant to him and before Harry could stop himself he asked "Uncle Paddy?" Sirius eyes rested on Harry and gave him a happy look and searched for Lily in the crowd and she stepped forward and said "hello Siri long time no see."
Sirius scooped up Harry and Lily in a hug, they were going to be a family again he'll keep his promise to James to take care of his family and to watch Harry grow up and know his father sacrifice when the time was right.
