Hello everyone, this is Raychiu here, with the completion of the story Love and Despair, I have decided to add a new story. I am a person who likes Ash more than Goh, which is why I have decided to create this story where Ash and Goh are actually the same people. Now if you are confused about what I am talking about, let's just get into the story.

Chapter 1: The Summer Camp

In Pallet Town, there is a boy named Ash Ketchum who lives here. The seven-year-old Ash rushes towards his mother with a poster and he yells, "Mom! I can go too, can't I? Can I go to Professor Oak's Summer Camp?"

Delia is looking at the poster and Ash says, "It's a camp to observe wild Pokemon with Professor Oak!"

"Huh? A camp to observe wild Pokemon? All right, I'll sign you up." Delia says with a smile.

"Yay! All right!" Ash says with excitement as he starts to jump and run around. Delia sighs, "But I have things to do that morning. You'll have to get up on your own."

"I can't wait." Ash says.

"Ash, are you listening?" Delia says with a little annoyance, but Ash doesn't listen, and he is still dreaming, "I wonder what kind of Pokemon I'll meet…"

The day when the Summer Camp comes, Ash is awake as he is excited to see all the Pokemon. He has a childhood friend named Chloe, who is a brown-haired girl that usually lives in Vermilion City, but she will often visit Professor Oak along with her father as they usually play together. Gary will often brag about being famous like his grandfather, and it always causes annoyance to Ash and Chloe, but the two of them are playing with the Pokemon in the ranch together when they are bored and alone.

"Hey, Chloe." Ash says after finding her among a lot of children. Chloe says, "Ash? Wow, I thought you would oversleep."

"I know, but I am just excited that I couldn't sleep last night." Ash says, and Chloe gives him a serious look, "Really? Did you stay up all night just because of this camp? I guess that is something that only you would do."

"Indeed." They turn around and see Gary, "Ashy Boy is always like that."

"What do you mean, Gary?" Before they can fight, Professor Oak says, "That's enough, you two. Stop fighting or else the camp won't be able to start."

Chloe asks, "Professor Oak, are we ready to go yet?"

Professor Oak sighs and says, "Well, you see…there's supposed to be one more coming."

"But the meetup time's already over, though…" Chloe says with confusion.

"Who is the one that hasn't shown up?" Ash asks, and Professor Oak says, "She is a girl who comes from the Kalos Region, her mother is a famous Rhyhorn Racer and there is actually a race held in Kanto. So she brings her here…but I wonder where she is…"

Gary says, "Probably went "I'm going on a trip tomorrow, so I'm too excited to sleep!" I bet he is careless and simple-minded."

Ash glares at him and he tries to hit him, but he is refrained by Chloe, "You are talking about me, right?"

"Calm down, Ash. I am sure Gary wasn't mean to say that about you." Professor Oak says with a dry laugh. "But she is rather shy and timid when I see her yesterday."

He turns to Chloe and asks, "By the way, Chloe. Is Professor Cerise doing all right?"

"Yes." Chloe says.

"Chole's father is a Pokemon researcher, as well. He shows great promise, as well; he's been deemed a genius since he was young."

"So, how long are we gonna wait for that girl who is shy and timid?" Gary asks.

"We don't want to be late back, either…" Professor Oak sighs. "Oh, well. I guess we're setting off."

After walking for a while, Professor Oak says, "All right, it's time to explore the forest and observe the Pokemon living here!"

The children are cheering as Ash notices a Squirtle battling a Caterpie. "A real live Caterpie!" Ash says.

They also see the Squirtle's trainer throwing a Pokeball at the Caterpie and how she can capture it.

"As you just saw, you can catch wild Pokemon by throwing Monster Balls at them. When you turn ten, you can become Pokemon Trainers, get your own starter Pokemon, and embark on an adventure with Pokemon!" Professor Oak says.

The children are cheering, and Professor Oak says, "But before that, you should get yourselves plenty of Pokemon knowledge!"

"All right! We got it!" The children say in unison.

Ash starts to brag and says, "I've already got more Pokemon knowledge than I'll ever need, though!"

"Ash?!" Chloe tries to get Ash to stop talking, but Professor Oak just laughs, "That's great to hear!"

"Oh yeah, you think you have more knowledge than the great Gary Oak?" Gary mocks back and the two are fighting again, but they are stopped by Professor Oak and Chloe.

As they meet a Kakuna, Professor Oak what it is, and Ash says, "It's Kakuna, the Cocoon Pokemon."

Gary is not going to lose to Ash as Professor asks about the next Pokemon, he says, "That's a Farfetch'd. The thing in its mouth is a plant stalk. The stalk is used as a sword to cut all sorts of things."

The others are amazed at Gary, but Ash is getting fired up at how he gets the attention and Chloe just gives a sigh. Ash says, "I won't lose to Gary…"

He spots a Diglett and says, "That's Diglett! A Pokemon that feeds on plant roots!"

Gary knows what Ash is doing and he says, "That's Diglett's evolved form, Dugtrio!"

Ash is not going to let him take the lead as he says, "It's amazingly strong! It can dig to a depth of 100 kilometers!"

Both children are talking about what they know and the other children can only stare at them. Professor Oak is sweat-dropping at how those two are fighting, and Chloe just glares, "Ash, Gary. Professor Oak is supposed to provide the Pokemon explanations!"

"It's fine. You really do know a lot about Pokemon, don't you, Ash, Gary." Professor Oak laughs. "Just like what Ash and Gary said, Pokemon evolve. The conditions for them to evolve vary, but Pokemon are creatures who change their appearance and shape."

"But Farfetch'd don't evolve." Ash says.

Professor Oak sweat drops and says, "That's right…"

Gary adds, "Not every Pokemon evolves! But some Pokemon do, right?"

"It's quite alright." Oak says. "Now let's look at the Pokemon living in the water."

While they are walking on the bridge, Ash and Chloe are lagging and Chloe says, "Geez, Ash…that's why you can't make any friends!"

"I have a lot of friends, but I also want to be a Pokemon Master, one that nobody's ever seen." Ash says.

Chloe just looks at him with a small smile, and Ash asks, "Hey, are you mocking me?"

"I mean, that's just a dream…" Chloe says.

"It's not a dream! It's the future!" Ash yells. "And that future lies in my hands!"

"Huh?" Chloe says, and then they see a Poliwag running past, and Ash says, "A Poliwag!"

The Poliwag is scared easily as he runs away, "Hey! Wait for me!"

"Ash!? Where are you going?" Chloe says, but Ash is nowhere in sight, sighing, Chloe decides to find Ash.

Elsewhere, a blonde-haired girl is lost in the woods, and she worriedly looks around and says, "Where is everybody? Where do you all go?"

Suddenly, a Poliwag appears, which causes her to fall on the ground and hurts her knee. Then she starts to form tears.

"I knew I should have come to this Summer Camp..." Then she cries out for her mother sadly.

Just then, she hears someone says, "Poliwag, where are you?"

Ash emerges from the bushes and then notices her. He says, "Are you alright?"

As the boy stops in front of her, he says, "I am Ash. What's wrong?"

The girl looks at Ash and she says, "I hurt my leg..."

Ash notices the blood coming from her knee, then he takes out a handkerchief and then ties it around her knee. "See, it is better, now watch this, Pain Pain go away!" He says as he waves his arms.

The girl tries to move her leg, but she feels pain. "It still hurts..."

Ash takes out his hand and says, "Come on, don't give up until it is over." He pulls her up and holds her in his arms, causing her to blush.

"Ash! Where have you been…" Chloe also arrives and she is surprised to see Ash hugging a girl that she doesn't know. She asks, "Ash? Who is she?"

Ash turns to Chloe and says, "Oh, Chloe! Well, this is…sorry, I didn't get your name."

"My name is Serena. I am from the Kalos Region…"

"Wait, so you are the one that was supposed to attend the Summer Camp? Why are you here?" Chloe asks.

Serena is about to cry again and she says, "I got lost in the woods and I couldn't find everyone…"

Ash says to Chloe, "Chloe, that's not nice, you make her cry."

Chloe feels guilty and says, "I am sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry."

Ash wipes out Serena's tears, and he says, "Serena is coming with us to Professor Oak, and her leg is injured, so we have to be careful."

Chloe nods as she agrees to help out. But when they are on their way, the cry of a Nidoking attracts their attention.

"That's Nidoking…but what is that Pokemon that it is fighting?" Ash asks in confusion.

The Pokemon Nidoking is fighting is a pink cat-like Pokemon and it is floating in the air.

Nidoking uses Earth Power, but the Pokemon simply Teleports to evade. It replies with the same move, which easily hits the Nidoking. As Nidoking attempts a Sludge Wave, the Pokemon Teleports away again before retaliating with the same move once again. Nidoking becomes frustrated and launches a Fire Blast at his shifty opponent, though Mew again evades and then proceeds to defeat Nidoking with its own Fire Blast.

"It's playing by using the same moves as its opponent." Serena says in awe.

"Just what is that Pokemon?" Ash says.

The Pokemon notices them as it flies away, they try to chase after the Pokemon, but Serena's injuries are slowing them down and they can't see where it goes.

"Where did that Pokemon go?" Chloe asks.

"I am sorry, because of my leg injury that we lost it…" Serena says with a frown.

"Don't worry, Serena. It's not your fault." Ash says.

In their search, the trio comes across a Magmar, though the Pokemon quickly Transforms to its regular form to reveal itself. The Pokemon starts to fly slowly so that the three kids are chasing after it. It turns into a Tauros to run across the land before changing into a Lapras to travel downstream.

"It can change into Pokemon as well…" Ash says as they are rushing by the stream. But they lost sight of the Pokemon once again.

"I'm sure it flew this way…" Ash says.

"Ash, let's go back to the others. Serena also needs to check her knee injury." Chloe says. "I am sure that Professor Oak is worried!"

"You're right…" Ash says.

As they are heading back, they hear a scream and they notice a Kangaskhan baby is falling.

"Oh no!" Serena says, but the Pokemon that Ash and the others are searching for use Psychic to save the baby from harm and returning it to her mother, who also has a Pichu beside her.

"Ash! Chloe!" Professor Oak rushes towards them and he pants, "Oh, there you are! I looked all over for you."

Ash says, "Professor, you come just in time, we found Serena and she hurts her leg."

"Huh?" Professor Oak looks at the straw hat girl and he says, "Are you perhaps Grace's daughter? I was wondering if you didn't want to come to the Summer Camp."

"I got lost in the woods…" Serena says with a frown, and Professor Oak looks at her injury and he says, "I think it is not that serious, we should go back to my lab so I can get you medicine."

The three of them nod as they follow Professor Oak, Ash also tells him about the Pokemon they have found, and Professor Oak says, "That might have been Mew. It's said to live deep in the jungle…but since it can freely hide, it's very hard to spot. It seems to contain the genes of every Pokemon. It's known as a Mythical Pokemon."

"A Mythical Pokemon?" Chloe says.

"Amazing, Mew is amazing!" Ash says. "I want to turn ten, become a Pokemon trainer, and then become a Pokemon Master as well."

A seventeenth-year-old Ash is looking at the photo of the Summer Camp, with Pikachu by his side, he says, "It sure brings back a lot of memories…"

Pikachu is confused, but he just stares at the picture of Ash, Serena, and Chloe when they are children.

Here is the first chapter, and this story is going to be one episode a chapter and I will also add some new plot inside. I hope you like this chapter and the next one will be reunions.
