Pikatwig: Well… not many people have done this, so I feel like it would be fun to do it. Though, I am out of my depth with Mass Effect. So…

*It then cut to outside as a signal shined against a building with the signal having a stylized "KKD" on it.*

Hinata: A signal's in the sky!

KKD: Ok. Let's go, Hinata.

*Pikatwig just stood outside and waited for any kind of response*

Off-Screen Guy: Why did you think doing a reference to the bat would get his attention?

Pikatwig: Because I thought it would be different…

KKD: Though not preferred.

*They turned to see KKD was there*

Pikatwig: Hey. Just… dumb idea I had in mind.

KKD: Well, it did get my attention. What's up?

Pikatwig: So, for some reason, I just started to randomly think about Mass Effect-

KKD: Say no more. I'm in.

Pikatwig: ...just like that?

KKD: Yea. Been a while since I put any content on my profile, and adding Mass Effect to that list officially might prove good.

Hinata: As long as you don't acknowledge Andromeda. That was a mess.

Pikatwig: ...why is it a mess?

Hinata: We don't acknowledge it.

Pikatwig: ...as somebody who has a very basic gist of the series, I think I have a right to ask.

Hinata: We don't acknowledge it.

Pikatwig: *shrugs* Alright. Anyway… I had a proposition for the sake of making it not just Mass Effect, and I think you'd like a crossover since you claim to be the "Crossover King".

KKD: Sure. I'm all ears.

Pikatwig: Mass Effect… plus Metroid.

KKD: Well… I've little exposure to that franchise since I hate getting lost in mazes.

Pikatwig: I've never played a Metroidvania in general, but I do know a fair bit about the story. Prime 4 may be delayed for years to come, but that's besides the point. So… we combine the knowledge I have on Metroid with what you know about Mass Effect and just see where we end up?

KKD: That's a fair idea to attempt.

Pikatwig: Plus, with how the series has not moved forward in time since Fusion, there's a lot of wiggle room one could take with Samus Aran.

Hinata: Fair.

Pikatwig: And one thing that sort of spawned the idea… I looked at footage of Tali and her people… and something about their suits reminded me of Samus' suit.

KKD: It's the helmets, isn't it?

Pikatwig: Something like that.

KKD: Well, either way, it's a good start.

Pikatwig: Alright, let's go ahead and get going.

"It had been well over five years since the destruction of the BSL station and, subsequently, five years since the Galactic Federation had branded me a traitor…" a female's voice narrated, "And, since then, I had been on the run. Just trying to survive…"

Within the vastness of space was a massive orange and yellow ship with a green window for the cockpit flying away from a massive armada of silver, sleek, ships and black and grey ships with all kinds of jagged edges. The ships were all firing at the orange and yellow one, several catching up to the vessel in question.

"Never thought I'd see the day the Galactic Federation and the Space Pirates work together on something…" the pilot muttered, "Oh wait. They both hate me…"

The pilot was then jostled forward as a few blasts made contact with her ship, causing some emergency sirens to begin to beep, and she struggled to get things under control with several button presses and remain flying the ship.

"Come on… just a little further…" the pilot muttered, only for more blasts to hit the now damaged ship.

Within one large, silver, ship was a man that was in armor and appeared to look very worn from combat with his helmet off to reveal something that looked fairly human, yet he seemed to have some sort of scales on his neck.

"Sir, Aran's gunship has been damaged. Your orders?" a litunant questioned.

"Destroy it and erase her from existence."

"Yes sir!"

The blasts continued to rain down on the gunship, making the pilot look over her options. Her eyes fell onto the throttle for the ship's engine and towards the last setting on the throttle.

"...one time emergency boost…" the pilot muttered. She then got blasted again and more sirens began to blare, "...no choice. Engaging hyper-light drive…"

Thus, the pilot pulled back on the lever, and the ship started to speed up as the stars began to blur past her and she entered a blue void, but to others, it looked like the ship zoomed off at lightspeeds within a second. With the last propulsion, the gunship vanished, with only a few faint streaks of light remaining in where it disappeared.

"What?! Where did it go?!" the commander on the silver ship yelled.

"I don't know, sir!" the lieutenant responded.

"Find Samus Aran and make sure she's dead!"

"Yes sir!"

"Little did anyone know… that would be the final time anybody had ever heard of Samus Aran…" a male narrator spoke.

"In the year 2148, explorers on Mars discovered the remains of an ancient spacefaring civilization. In the decades that followed, these mysterious artifacts revealed startling new technologies, enabling travel to the furthest stars. The basis for this incredible technology was a force that controlled the very fabric of space and time. They called it the greatest discovery in human history. The civilizations of the galaxy call it… Mass Effect."

Flying through space across what is seen as the Milky Way Galaxy was a white and black spacecraft patrolling the solar system. It was a rather sleek looking ship with the text SR1 and Normandy painted on the sides.

"Captain's Log. After a disastrous mission on Eden Prime, my crew and I returned to the Citadel where I ended up gathering more members of the crew of a variety of races, my sister and I became the first ever humans to become Spectres, and are taking our new crew to the planet of Therum to track down Liara T'Soni. Word has it she can provide some valuable information on Prothean technology to explain the visions I had recently. We are currently working on gathering a few supplies so that the trip on Therum will go decently. Pause log."

On board the ship, two individuals in black body armor with white and red markings on the side, along with N7 on their chests were examining things all over. They appeared to be of Asian and African descent with a light chocolate skin tone, almond-shaped brown eyes, the male having short black hair that was neatly combed while the woman had red-brown hair in a bun, both appearing to be the peak of physical condition, but both having seen their fair share of combat from the looks on their faces. The two approached the front of the ship and saw the pilot was simply not doing anything.

"Entering, Joker" the male inquired.

"Oh, Commander Shepard!" the pilot, Joker, realized as he turned around to see the two individuals approached him.

"No need to be so formal," the female beside the commander assured as Joker eased up, "We just wanted a heads up on how things were going and make sure we're as ready for the mission as we can be."

"Sorry. I hadn't heard complete responses from the others yet. Alenko and Williams were helping some of the new recruits get settled in and I ended up kind of… spacing out…" Joker admitted.

The female couldn't help but giggle at the unintentional joke before clearing her throat when the male gave a bit of an exhale.

"Come on, Mark. Lighten up," the female told him.

The commander, Mark, just sighed a little, but eased up, "Sorry, Jen. I guess with what I saw back on Eden Prime and being one of the first human Spectres… there's just a lot on our shoulders right now."

"I know…" the female, Jen, responded, "But still… we have a duty to the crew beneath us. With all the new faces we brought on-board and the old ones who stayed by our side, I think it's best we at least make sure we're as ready as we can be."

"I suppose you're right. We have to make sure we're loyal to our crew just as much as the mission. No soldier left behind if possible and all. Joker, we're going to get moving soon. Prepare to get us to the nearest Mass Relay," Mark ordered.

"Alright, prepping the engine," Joker responded.

As the crew was about to pull out, something on the command console began to go nuts with beeping.

"What… is that?" Mark inquired.

Joker quickly turned to the console and began to type a bit at it, "We're picking up a very strong amount of energy from a warp drive. And it isn't from the relays, either, sir."

"Anyone got any visuals on what it is?" Jen questioned.

"Not yet… but whatever it is, we'll see it in a moment!" Joker told her quickly.

A few of the crew members quickly got up to the deck to see what was outside the ship.

After a moment, what looked to be some sort of a blue vortex appeared and out came a ship that was spinning wildly out of control. The crew of the Normandy watched as the ship continued to spin out of control until it entered the atmosphere of a nearby planetoid.

"Pull up… pull up… pull up…" Jen muttered.

However, the crew who were able to witness this looked shocked and gasped as the vessel plummeted down, not pulling up like Jen hoped, and was starting to get damaged from the entry to the atmosphere.

"...what do we do?" Joker questioned.

"We're going after it. Set a course!"

The ship ended up crashing right on the planet's rocky surface, steam hissing off of it as the visible window on the front had a flashing red light to indicate something was very wrong. The pilot on the inside had lost consciousness and was limp across the board. A few blares were going off on the inside of the ship before the power on it finally gave out, more steam hissing out of the ship.

The crew on the white vessel lowered down into the atmosphere, dropping down a ground vehicle of similar colors that drove within range of the spacecraft, with a few individuals getting out of it and approaching the ship. A few ended up wincing a bit at the damage that it had sustained and could see how fried parts of it now were.

"I don't know if this thing is able to fly anymore…" Jen remarked, carefully observing some parts of the ship that weren't heated from the atmospheric entry, examining other stats on them with an orange glowing gauntlet of light that formed around her left wrist.

"Is there a way to open it up?" Mark quickly questioned.

"Commander. There's an entry port on the vessel's starboard side," said a male voice that was somewhat distorted, Mark looking to a blue-armored alien with a vaguely avian appearance, though looked more reptilian to those unfamiliar to his race with greenish hardened scutes over his face, pointing to a door as Jen continued to look the ship over.

"Allow me," a more brutish voice added as the three stepped aside so a red-clad dinosaur-like alien with brown scales and a red crest stepped over before shoving his hands onto the door, grunting a bit, before he pried it off. He gave off a small chuckle before he winced in pain, "Sorry about that, Shepard. Forgot how heated things could get after they go into an atmosphere…"

"Are you ok, Wrex?" the commander asked.

"I'm fine. Been through worse," the larger alien assured, though him shaking his hands indicated he was at least in a little bit of pain.

"Wait…" Jen muttered as she took in the design of the ship before gasping, "No way. That's not possible…"

The avian alien and Mark stepped inside, lights activated on their blasters to get a good look at what was inside before the avian alien noticed something.

"We got a pilot! And I can't tell if they're alive or not," the avian alien shouted.

"Bring that ship up, and bring the pilot into the med-bay. We need to make sure they're still alive!" Mark quickly ordered.

Wrex gave a nod as he reached in and grabbed the suited figure and began to get her out of the ship.

"Garrus. Make sure to see what you can be repaired or salvaged once we get back up to the Normandy. I want to find out what happened and why it happened."

"Understood, Commander," Garrus nodded.

"...it shouldn't be possible…" Jen whispered before she saw the pilot be dragged out, "...but it is."

Mark soon got into the med-bay and saw an aging woman with short gray hair in a white and black uniform examining the pilot with a device similar to what Jen had.

"Well, Commander, despite the damages to this suit, and how shockingly ancient this is… I can safely assure you the pilot is alive," the medic assured.

"Thank you, Dr. Chakwas. I'm glad we were able to help this person," Mark smiled.

Dr. Chakwas simply nodded and continued to do some analysis of the pilot and her suit. Mark approached the still unconscious figure and then scratched the back of his head.

"What do you think we're dealing with?" Mark questioned as he looked over the suit, "Looks almost Quarian in appearance."

"I can most assuredly tell you that she isn't. The suit itself may be similar, but it's pretty old-school. Not quite the level of Prothean tech but nothing we're familiar with. But I was able to get the pilot's blood samples and can confirm she's not biotic, but she's not exactly a pureblood of any race we've encountered. At best… I can say this is… close to human? Not exactly human. The physiology is correct for a human, but the DNA scans I've run are hazy."

"Any percentages you can give?"

"Her genetic code appears to be about fifty to fifty-five percent human, but the rest is a strange assortment of species, mostly fragmented, though I was able to deduce them through trace samples and cross-examining them with races across the Milky Way was known of today. The scanners… oddly enough, are picking up DNA of species that have been dead for centuries."

"What? How is that possible?" Mark questioned.

"I'm as confused as you are, Commander. However, when I tried to cross-reference this suit to see if I could find anything about its origin… all scans came up as errors."

"As in no information was found?"

"No. As in the information was locked. Most of the data does confirm that the DNA is traceable to the edges of our galaxy, however I cannot find any records of what this suit is."

"I know who this is…" Jen informed as she walked in with a physical version of the scanner that she had earlier, "And… she's a ghost from the days of the Galactic Federation."

"Those old has-beens that were dismantled prior to humans going to war with the Turians because of their attempts to clone organisms to make bio-weapons?" the doctor questioned.

"Yeah…" Jen nodded as she typed in a code on the scanner she had, "So old, I had to pull up this prototype Omni-Tool to find anything on our guest. While her name isn't mentioned, her exploits are."

Mark gave the list that the scanner was showing a look through and it began to ring some faint bells in his mind, "...why does it sound familiar?"

"Because one of our ancestors knew this person…" Jen explained, "...but she was deemed a traitor and vanished off the face of the universe. Nobody knew what happened to her… until now."

"That's impossible…" Mark stared in disbelief.

Jen and Mark were now at the ship, which had managed to retain most of its shape in spite of the crash. Jen then pulled up the Omni-Tool prototype and an image of the ship from a very long time ago showed up.

"...apart from the damage… it's a match…" Mark whispered, almost in disbelief.

"As crazy as it sounds, it is…" Jen told her brother.

"What is that?" Wrex questioned as he saw the prototype Omni-Tool, making Jen look over to him.

"Let's just say this is what gave rise to the Omni-Tools, Wrex. And it'll give us some insight into our friend in the med-bay."

"Alright. Anything you can tell us of this old thing?" Wrex checked about the ship.

"Well… the ship is in desperate need of repairs from that crash, but we were able to salvage the computers that were on-board. Let me tell ya, the tech is primitive. They tried using lightspeed engines onboard which, while they were functional, they were more prone to failure than even the prototypes of what we use today that rely on the Mass Relays which are far safer."

"Guess that explains how she managed to jump here without anybody finding her… she traveled through time…" Mark realized before he sighed, "Why does this sound so science fiction?"

"Honestly, with all the stuff humanity has discovered over the past millennium Mark, I'm surprised it took this long for someone to officially pull this off," Jen retorted.

Mark gave a small sigh in response before shaking his head, "Do we have anything that can scan the computer parts?"

"Joker's looking it over," Garrus chimed in from inside the ship, "Should we relay this to Captain Anderson or the Citadel?"

"No, not now, Garrus. Considering our guest's records… what little we found, it may be best to just keep that intel under wraps until we get some more info," Mark explained.

With the pilot still in the med-bay, the crew of the Normandy decided to proceed with their current objective. They landed on Therum after the Mass Relay jump and managed to locate the individual they were looking for, a blue-skinned humanoid scientist of female proportions with 'tendrils' in place of hair, though learned she had no intel on what they initially sought. Though she was able to join them as they exited, but were soon surrounded by a horde of cycloptic robots with blasters, led by a creature that looked identical to Wrex but with grey armor, greenish-yellow skin and a dark green crest, all of them firing on the group.

"We're going to make it… we're going to make it…" Jen muttered, firing upon the robots.

"Jen, focus!" Mark shouted as he fired as well, "We have to hurry! This place is falling apart!"

Suddenly, one of the robots managed to disarm Mark and force him to the ground, Garrus about to rush and help when other robots managed to impede his path. The Wrex-lookalike smirked as the bots began to surround Liara in an attempt to capture her, only for Mark to recall something and blasted a bunch of blue energy from his hands to force the bots off, letting him grab his gun and stop them from grabbing Liara.

"There's too many Geth to take on now. Someone knock out the Krogan and open the barrier!" Mark shouted as he tried to keep firing.

As the crew tried to find a way through the enemies, a blast suddenly knocked one of them down. To the group's shock, a tall female figure in a surprisingly skin-tight suit of orange and yellow armor stood, spikes on her arms with her right arm being a green cannon, and her helmet being a vibrant red with a green visor, her cannon aimed at the robots.

"...she's alive…" Jen muttered.

"What is this?! Who dares interfere? Identify yourself at once!" the Krogan yelled.

The figure said nothing as she then fired off a missile against one of the robots, which blasted it to pieces. Everyone was shocked by this as the figure looked to her cannon arm and sighed a bit, almost slapping it.

"...low on super missiles…" she muttered before turning to the Shepards, Garrus, and Liara, "Looks like you need some help."

"We appreciate it," Mark told her.

The figure gave off a small nod in response before aiming her cannon over at the Krogan, the bulky creature scoffing as he aimed his gun at her before the figure effortlessly jumped over to his location and aimed her cannon closer to his head.

"What are you?!" the Krogan demanded a second time.

"My identity would be of no concern to you, but if you wish to know, you shall take it to your grave."

The Krogan looked towards the figure in fear, then gave off a motion for the machines to attack her. The figure, in response, gave an annoyed huff before firing off a missile that froze the creature solid. She then charged up a beam with her cannon and shot the Krogan to pieces before Mark, Jen, and Garrus fired and shot down the remaining Geth.

"Let me help," the figure assured as she fired at the barrier, managing to shock it into shutting down before leading the four up the nearby stairway out of the mines they were in, all of them managing to escape back toward the Normandy.

"I never would've expected this…" Garrus admitted.

"You and me both, Garrus. But at least we're still alive…" Mark added.

Back onboard the Normandy, the crew gathered in an area of the ship to debrief, most everyone apart from Mark and Jen sitting down.

"Too close, Commander," Joker called out over the speakers, "10 more seconds and we would've been swimming in molten SULFUR! The Normandy isn't equipped to land in exploding volcanoes. They tend to fry our sensors and... and melt our hull… just for future reference."

"You get used to the heat…" the figure shrugged, "Of course… having means to keep yourself cool certainly helps."

"We almost died out there, and both your pilot and… hired gun I assume, are cracking jokes?" Liara reacted in shock.

"In case you forgot, Doctor T'Soni, Joker and our new friend pulled our asses out of there," Jen pointed out, "I think Joker's earned the right to a few bad jokes. As for our friend… well… it's very complicated. Like… very complicated."

"I see… it must be a human thing… mostly. I don't have a lot of experience dealing with your species, Shepard. But I am grateful to you all. You all saved my life back there, and not just from the volcano. Those Geth would've killed me or dragged me off to Saren."

After some exchange of intel with Liara and the crew, the figure then muttered something, which only Mark seemed to hear. He then turned towards the figure and nodded as he walked over to her.

"Thank you for your help," Mark told the figure, who simply nodded a bit, "After what you did, we kinda owe you our lives. The least you could do is tell us who you are… without risking killing us."

The figure simply nodded before dismissing the armored suit to reveal a far more skintight outfit that was a light shade of blue, and under her helmet was a fair-skinned woman with blond hair in a ponytail and eyes that were blue that had hints of green, and she was notably wearing heels that made her a fair bit taller. A few members of the crew, both male and female, couldn't help but blush a little bit at the sight of the woman who stood before them.

"Samus. Samus Aran," the figure introduced herself, much to the shock of Mark and Jen. However, the others didn't seem to share that same shock.

"THE Samus Aran?" another female human aboard gawked in response, "That's almost too insane to be true."

"We're always experiencing new things everyday, Ashley," the white man next to her pointed out.

"Yea, but it's not everyday you get to meet a legendary warrior like her!" Ashley gawked.

"Have to admit, I heard rumors of Aran floating around the Citadel, but I never thought I'd actually meet her," Garrus added.

"...who is this? I've never heard of her…" Wrex admitted.

The humans were initially shocked, but shrugged it off as Samus simply brushed a bit of her hair out of her face. Jen began to walk around her a little and sort of took in the sight, then looked at images she was able to see in the prototype Omni-Tool.

"...it really is her…" Jen gawked.

"Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to get back to my ship. I'll be out of your hair in no time," Samus requested.

"So… about that…" Mark spoke up.

Samus gave off a heavy sigh as she saw how damaged her ship was, brushing her hand across the charred hull of the vessel and looked at the remains of the engine she used to jump that far, yet it was absolutely shattered and incapable of repairs.

"You're kind of stuck here…" Mark informed, "We may be able to give your ship repairs, but it'll be a while."

"Well… if any of the Galactic Federation officers give you trouble, then just pretend that I was never here. As soon as we get to the nearest station, I'm going to go into hiding. Pretend you never met me," Samus replied to the two Shepards as she looked over the settings of her paralyzer gun.

"...um… the Galactic Federation hasn't been a thing in… well over a century…" Jen explained, "...wait… you were unconscious when we found you… um… what year do you think it is?"

"2045. Why?" Samus asked with a slight tilt of her head.

"...You're not going to believe us, but… it's 2183. Your lightspeed engine somehow brought you forward in time by about 140 years," Jen explained as she showed a more modern day Omni-Tool towards her, "And… well… the Galactic Federation erased most of the records of what you did before they went under. Since then, many of the races you knew died, new races took over in their places and formed a new Galactic Council system."

"I… th-this is…" Samus spoke, but was unable to put anything into words. After a bit, Samus sat down, finding the information hard to take in as she placed one hand on her head, mouth slacked open from the information bomb dropped on her.

"We only really knew about you because one of our ancestors knew you very well. He used this prototype tool to save any information about you before it was erased. It… got all but your name, but more people remembered you than I thought they would," Jen explained, showing the prototype Omni-Tool to Samus before the blonde looked towards them.

"...ancestor?"

Mark then pulled up his Omni-Tool and went through some records of the family tree until he found the right person, "Anthony Higgs was his name."

"...wow…" Samus exhaled, "I never expected this to happen… but thank goodness Anthony did that… or…"

"Most people probably would've just thought you were a criminal that blew up a space station and multiple planets…" Mark commented.

"...have the Metroids been an issue at all since I disappeared?" Samus inquired.

"...what's a Metroid?" Mark questioned.

"Going to take that as a no…" Samus exhaled.

"Sorry, Ms. Aran. Like I said, most races died out during the hundred plus years you were gone," Jen pointed out, "But… from what little records remained of the Metroids, that's at least a good thing."

Samus exhaled a bit more, still in shock about what was going on around her. Everything she knew, everything that she fought for and any of the few remaining people that cared about her were now gone. She was now a relic of a bygone era and had no way to get back.

Samus was now in the living quarters and being admired by a few of the support people. The crew were mostly humans due to the history Mark briefly gave of the crew, but the only non-humans she saw were Garrus, Wrex, and Liara, who were quick to do other duties onboard the Normandy.

"I can kind of see why our ancestor spoke so highly of her…" Jen whispered to her brother.

"Sure has me beat. She seems more lost than we are and I feel like I'm going to exhaust myself explaining things to her…" Mark whispered.

"I was more talking about looks…" Jen elaborated.

"Oh. ...eh. I don't see it. I mean, she looks fine, but I still am not really planning for romance…" Mark shrugged.

"Tch. Typical Mark, too blind to know a good chance to flirt when he sees it staring him in the face," Jen jokingly remarked as Mark just gave her a raised eyebrow, the blonde woman looking back to the two.

"Where will I be staying?" Samus inquired, getting the twins' attention back to her.

"There's a few rooms all over the ship, crews' quarters are below deck, but there's a spare room next to the engine room that's quiet if you'd prefer," Jen offered.

"Thank you," Samus responded before she walked off towards the engine room.

Once Samus was gone, a few people in the room began to talk about how attractive she was, and a few had asked Mark if he had any opinions.

"Eh?" Mark shrugged.

As they talked to the commander, Jen sighed as she and Garrus just watched him.

"With how dense you can be in romance, I could imagine you would find a planet full of women and still wouldn't know if they were flirting with you…" Jen joked to her brother.

"Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if after all his work he fell in love with a Quarian just so he wouldn't worry about seeing her face right away," Garrus added.

All Mark could do was shrug his shoulders.

Samus leaned into one of the two beds in the room, just trying to relax a little bit. She could see a window nearby and saw that none of the star formations looked familiar to her. She was either too far from any recognizable constellations, or the stars have indeed shifted since she made that jump. As she laid there, her mind wandered to what she knew before and she simply began to think about how she would need to adjust.

"Hey, Samus?" Jen's voice spoke up from the other end of the door.

"Yeah?"

"I just wanted to say welcome to the Normandy… and I brought you some stuff. Can I come in?" Jen asked.

Samus then walked over and opened up the door.

"First off, you'll need this. It's kind of standard issue for the ship," Jen explained, handing Samus a wristband for an Omni-Tool, "This device will allow you to access any information you may want or need to know to catch you up to speed. It's called an Omni-Tool, and it's also multi-purpose to function with anything you may need on the ship. And if push comes to shove, it even has its own blade for close range combat."

Samus gave a small nod before she generated her cannon and saw the Omni-tool ring was able to fit around it. She then dismissed the cannon and saw what looked to be a hand-written letter with her name on it.

"Our ancestor wrote it for you and was hoping you'd eventually get it. You don't have to read it right now if you don't want to," Jen informed, handing Samus the letter, "Well… that's all I have for you right now. See you around."

Jen then left the room, letting Samus sit back down and look over the letter from Higgs. She decided to set it aside for the time being and start reading up on some of the new lifeforms that were in the universe. The first one she happened upon was called "Quarian"...

Unbeknownst to Samus, walking into the Engine Room next to her stood a humanoid in a gray and purple bodysuit of sorts, standing on digitigrade legs with two toes, 3 digit hands, and a helmet with a circular port around the mouth, but it's clear her helmet was pretty dark and only allowing two purple lights to shine through that indicated her eyes.

"How was your mission?" Mark proceeded to ask.

"It's alright. I was able to gather the intel needed to improve the ship… could've done without a few interruptions. But… it is nice to be back. Thanks for asking, Shepard," the alien girl replied.

Pikatwig: The bad thing I've discovered over making many fics about game's and/or media I've never seen for myself is that I tend to make a few continuity errors.

Hinata: You're not going to learn anytime soon, are you?

Pikatwig: Considering I'm working on ANOTHER Three Houses story without having played the game, the answer is no.

KKD: Even then, it's a hard thing to do when you're talking an RPG that's got such dense lore, so despite everything in Mass Effect, I'm having to play somewhat fast and loose with the continuity of things to ensure we can get Samus in on time with the crew of the Normandy in the first game.

Pikatwig: I think it says something that I had no idea when Tali was supposed to be recruited. So, we just had her off ship doing something else because I didn't know she was already part of the team. Whoops. *gets a light bonk with a paper fan from Hinata*

Hinata: Kinda had that one coming a little bit, but it's light since you're a friend.

KKD: Either way, for what point in time we're going for, it's clear the crew of the Normandy did just finish up stuff on the Citadel and recruited Garrus, Wrex, and Tali (unbeknownst to Pika), and they were off to get Liara to help them the rest of the way.

Pikatwig: I'll go ahead and tell you guys this. If that remaster is coming to the Switch, I will try to get it.

KKD: The Legendary Edition may take a while to get here, but I know it's coming to the PS4 at least, so I'm anxious to see everything with the best graphics for the games, especially as when playing the original trilogy, the graphics between all three alone took major improvements. Really shows the care Bioware put into the titles.

Pikatwig: Anyway… I had fun working on this. How about you?

KKD: Yea. Been a while since I dipped my toes into Mass Effect and I'm excited to see how the Legendary Edition will turn out, so getting myself ready for it is always nice.

Pikatwig: And my favorite part… the rescue scene. Just was pretty cool.

KKD: It sure was an interesting thing to write up, and I'm glad we could do something like that, too. But this also means Samus is going to affect a lot of things down the road to be sure.

Pikatwig: Which… we'll see how that goes.

KKD: Yea. Well, I guess that's it for this first chapter, but I'm excited to get back into this and find out more of how this will go. Thanks again for bringing this up to me, Pika.

Pikatwig: You're welcome. Just Live More.

KKD: Jaa ne.
