The Hans Enigma

1

It was a magnificent Spring day in Arendelle, Elsa with some help from Gale made sure of that for such a special occasion, Anna and Kristoff's wedding day. She was so happy for her sister as she knew Kristoff would make her happy and be a good husband to her.

She was also proud of Anna for how she was taking care of Arendelle as Queen, a role that Elsa, despite being the fifth spirit, occasionally missed as she enjoyed being Queen and the interactions, she had with the people of Arendelle and foreign dignitaries.

Anna chose Elsa of course to be her Maid of Honour and Elsa dressed appropriately for it with a beautiful Arendellian gown in the traditional Arendelle colors, she also wore their mothers Northuldran scarf around her waist. Olaf was to give Anna away and Sven was the best reindeer for the ceremony.

It was decided to hold the ceremony on the same cliffs that they evacuated to after Elsa had woken the Elemental Spirits from the Enchanted Forest, that way, all of Arendelle, the Northuldra and trolls could attend. Both Grand Pabbie and Arendelle's bishop would officiate the wedding ceremony.

A series of arches leading to the alter featuring Arendelle's official flower the crocus was waiting for Anna and Olaf to arrive while Kristoff, dressed in his best Sami leather outfit waited at the alter for her arrival. Suddenly music began to echo across the cliffs and throughout Arendelle to announce the arrival of the bride. Anna had picked a group of Arendellian and Northuldran children to be her flower girls and pages and they were the first to appear at the arches with girls and boys holding hands as they marched down the aisle towards the alter.

Then Anna appeared with Olaf wearing their mother's wedding dress that she had managed to find in the castle archives and had the staff alter and adjust it for her. Elsa recognised it straight away and beamed her smile at Anna who just glowed with happiness as she walked towards Kristoff.

Olaf, wore a simple official royal sash of the Royal Family as he smiled leading Anna towards Kristoff. As for Kristoff, he had a smile of love, expectation and a little nervousness as Anna approached.

There were also many of the same dignitaries that were at Elsa's coronation with the exception of the Duke of Wesselton of course, whom Arendelle still refused to trade with. Nor were there any representation from the Southern Isles with whom Arendelle had cut off all diplomatic relations, though the Southern Isles had made some representation to try and restore relations.

Grand Pabbie and the Bishop alternated through the ceremony which was kept simple and not too long and they both announced at the end "We officially pronounce you husband and wife, Kristoff you may kiss the bride." From which there was a loud standing ovation with much cheering.

Kristoff and Anna embraced passionately before turning to the cheering crowd with beaming smiles.

"Citizens of Arendelle and honoured guests," spoke the Bishop and Pabbie in unison, "may we present to you they're majesties Queen Anna and Prince Kristoff, husband and wife."

The cheering continued while Anna and Kristoff embraced a smiling and emotional Elsa.

"I am so happy for you both," she said.

"Uh hum," came the familiar voice of Olaf "warm hugs?"

"Of course, Olaf," replied Anna embracing him warmly, followed by Kristoff who did the same. Then came the familiar nudge from Sven onto Kristoff.

"Okay, old buddy." Said Kristoff embracing him followed shortly by Anna.

The wedding party then began to make their way back towards the castle for the reception when suddenly there was a gust of wind carrying loose leaves which ended up spelling congratulations.

"Thank you, Gale." Beamed Anna who suddenly remembered something.

"Oooh gather around everyone, I have to throw the bouquet."

Everyone lined up behind Anna in anticipation of her throwing the bouquet of flowers. Anna turned her back and then launched the bouquet over her head which some way, with a little help from Gale found their way into the arms of Halima, who smiled cheekily to General Mattias. The General grinned nervously back at her.

When they arrived back at the castle, the guests all filed into the courtyard as Anna didn't want to exclude anyone from the festivities and celebrations. Elsa had created exquisite ice sculptures for them all to enjoy at their leisure. Meanwhile, Anna, Kristoff, Elsa and Olaf went into castle to await their official announcement to the reception.

Ryder had bought some of the reindeer down from the Enchanted Forest and Sven enjoyed their company for a while, running and chasing them around the township.

Elsa approached both Anna and Kristoff, "Well it's official Kristoff, welcome to the family."

"Thank you, Elsa, and I promise I will take good care of your sister."

"I know you will, you're a good man and I know you love Anna deeply. Anna?"

Elsa than approached a beaming Anna and the two embraced lovingly.

"Now, you will keep your promise won't you Elsa?" asked Anna

"Which one?" replied Elsa.

"The one about taking me to Ahtohallan once the weather warmed up."

"Of course, we can do it in a couple of weeks if you would like?"

"Of course, Kristoff can spend some time with Ryder and the reindeers while we go to Ahtohallan."

"Sounds like a plan, as you know I have been discovering a lot about the past there and I will let you know then what I have found."

"Why not now Elsa?"

"Well, most of it is easier to explain there, but I can tell you one thing."

What's that?"

"Well, I am still me, even though I am the fifth spirit, I am no different than before, just with a little bit more magic and control, but I'll grow old just like anyone else."

"Oh" responded Anna, "I knew that and didn't think anything different."

"Well, it's okay Anna, it's just that some people seem to think that I am part of the spiritual world now and everlasting, I am as I said, just the bridge and I just wanted to make sure you knew that."

Anna hugged her sister again, "thank you for that but you know I would have still loved you either way."

"Yes, I knew that" responded Elsa, "oh I do believe Kai is about to start introducing us, I better get Olaf ready."

Anna chuckled, "yes and promise me one thing?"

"What's that Anna?"

"That you will at least dance once tonight."

Elsa smiled and laughed, "I'll try, fortunately Wesselton is not here to trample on our feet."

The two sisters laughed as Kai began the introductions to the guests at the reception.
