Elrohir and Elladan , the twin sons of Elrond , were bored . They had nothing to do .As King Tharanduil had just arrived with Legolas and the lord and lady of lothlorien were visiting imladris with Arwen , they were not allowed to play pranks .

"Elladan, I am so bored , What do you think we can do ?"

"I do not know, Elrohir . We can not play pranks , there are no orcs to kills –"

"No more interesting books to read ." said Elrohir " I Wish there was a book or magazine that could tell us how to kill boredom ."

" Maybe we can write our own book! " said Elladan

"That is too difficult. Maybe we can write a magazine about all the latest and most interesting stuff . We can publish it monthly ." said Elrohir

"That is a brilliant idea, brother mine ! We will need help though. We can ask Gildor for the latest gossip or Lindir for information related to music or art! Said Elladan excitedly .

"And grandma Galadriel for beauty tips . She can also write a horoscope or something. We can form a committee. Le t us write down the names of the people whose help we need" said Elrohir taking out a piece of paper .

After 1 hour, they completed the list

Our list :

1. Galadriel

2. Lindir

3. Gildor

4. Arwen

5. Librarian of the Rivendell library – Amroth

6. The royal tailor - Nelwir

7. The head cook - Saeras

8. ….

Etc….

" This looks good, let's go find Lindir or Gildor or Arwen first they will be easy to convince "

"Yeah, I will find Arwen … You find the other two "

Luckily, Elrohir found Gildor and Lindir at the same place . Lindir was drawing a picture of the elf .

Elrohir entered the room and begged " Gildor !, Lindir ! , me and my brother have taken up a project , you must help us !

Lindir looked up surprised " Elrohir ? Why are you shouting? What is the matter ?

Elrohir explained about their decision to write a magazine and asked if Gildor could share the latest gossip as he traveled a lot .

Gildor nodded "I rarely get to share my experience or the information I gain . This is a great opportunity as long as no one knows it is me."

Elrohir smiled "It is anonymous….. Lindir , maybe you can do the picture illustrations.

Lindir pondered upon this suggestion. It did get boring drawing portraits and sceneries . "Okay!"

Elrohir said " That great ! I must now find my idiot of a brother .Try to meet us at 6 pm at Elladan' s room , the coming Monday."

Meanwhile…..

Arwen sat on the bench near the fountain . People hardly ever came here . She enjoyed some peace and quite from time to time .She took out her favorite book and was about to start reading it when Elladan crashed into her .

" Watch where you are going " said Arwen scowling .

Elladan looked excited "Ah Arwen ! Just the person I was looking for . I and my brother were wondering if you could help us -"

"-In pulling a prank ? I think not !" She was getting angry .

"It is not really a prank and Gildor and Lindir are joining in . They are adults !" Elladan was trying hard to convince his sister.

"We are adults too ! But If Gildor and Lindir are in …It might be worth my time . What is it about ?" said Arwen thoughtfully

Elladan explained about their decision to write a magazine . "You can give some tips to pass our time or some book reviews ."

Arwen nodded " That sounds fun. I am in ."

"That is awesome. Try to meet me and my brother at 6 pm at my room , the coming Monday."

The twins met up at Elrohir's room .

"I was able to convince Arwen .How did you fare ? " asked Elladan

"They agreed to help . Now we must find Grandmother Galadriel"

They found Lady Galadriel in a secluded spot at the garden .

" Grandma , you look beautiful today ! " complimented Elladan

Galadriel laughed . She knew that when the twins acted like this they wanted something . " What do you want ?"

"Well ! As you are so wise and intelligent-"

"And so pretty …. We were wondering if you could help is write a magazine "

"You could write the horoscope and give some other information.."

Galadriel liked this idea. After all, It was a good way to get revenge on Celeborn for having an affair behind her back with King Tharanduil . "Of course I will help you !"

"You can meet us at 6 pm at Elladan' s room , the coming Monday." Elrohir said happily .

They also managed to convince the

2. The royal tailor - Nelwir

3. The head cook – Saeras

And many others to join them ….

Over the week, they found ample amount of information for the magazine . When everyone met up at Elladan's room on Monday night , they explained their plan and ideas.

Elrohir and Elladan wrote an article on the latest and best pranks . Amroth gave the latest book recommendations. Saeras shared some excellent desert recipes. Galadriel wrote the horoscope and gave some beauty tips. Arwen wrote an article on how to spend your time and edited everyone else's articles. Gildor shared the gossip he had heard when he traveled past month to Mirkwood . Lindir drew some beautiful pictures and illustrations for all the articles. Nelwir wrote about the latest fashion . Everything was perfect .

It took them 2 weeks to prepare everything. They met up every two days at Elladan or Elrohir's room . Now , they only had to decide the name of the magazine .

"What should be the name of our magazine ?" inquired Amroth

"The elven times ? No that sound like a news paper ."

"What about the Rivendell Monthly ?"

"No that is so boring "

"Elfopolitan" said Lindir in a decided voice and Elfopolitan it was .

On the night of 30th May , they gave the magazines to Inwë ,the shop keeper of The Imladris Bookstore. She had also helped in the project . Every member were sworn to secrecy .

They also assembled a pile of magazines on the dining room of the Last Homely House for the people living there.

The next morning, Elrond was surprised to find a pile of books on his dining table. Erestor and Glorfindel were reading on of the copies . " What is this?"

"The Elfopolitan! It is very interesting…. You must read it " said Lord Glorfindel without looking up.

Curiously , Elrond picked up the magazine and started reading it .

He soon found an interesting article .

The latest fashion trend : Orange is the new black

Cellebross and Laërwan have suggested Light orange or red robes for elven royals in their last fashion show . This two colors are known to show and prove the elves royalty or character especially in the summer season.

Keldarión has suggested light blue or dark yellow to be a bold color for all elves in this season . It will make you feel comfortable and make others notice you easily .

For patrols , light green or brown is suitable as it helps you to camouflage with the trees or scenery more easily .

" Aha ! This was perfect . With orange robes , he would show the King of Mirkwood who was more sensible . Now , he only had to order the clothes from Nelwir ."He raced outside to do so . He noticed everyone reading a copy of The Elfopolitan. Some were laughing while others were reading it intently.

Finally , He reached Nelwir's shop. " Nelwir !"

"What can I do for you , my lord ?"

" Did anyone order any light orange robes , yet ?"

"Yes , my lord …. Elladan and Elrohir order them last night …. I recommended it to them ."

Elrond was disappointed… he was not the first to order the clothes but they were his sons not Tharanduil. " I want 5 light orange robes by tomorrow. Is it possible? "

"Of course"

Celeborn went to the dining room with Tharanduil. He noticed a pile of books and heard Tharanduil say " What is all of this ?"

Glorfindel who was sitting on the table said " We found this magazine on the table ….. it is very interesting, especially the battle techniques and the-"

" Book recommendations " interrupted Erestor.

Glorfindel continued "- the pictures .. You must read it ."

Celeborn went through the magazine "Oh look! There is a horoscope ."

Tharanduil groaned " Tell me you don't believe in horoscopes ."

Celeborn ignored him and continued to read . Suddenly , he gasped .

"What's wrong ?" asked Tharanduil.

"Let me read it to you ."

Leo –

You are leo ! This is going to be an interesting month for you . However, you must beware . Go back to your lawfully wedded or else you will suffer. There is very little time left for correcting your mistakes .

"How did they know ?" demanded Celeborn

Celeborn scowled and stormed out of the room . "Ugh" Tharanduil ran after him trying to convince him that the horoscope was wrong .

Tharanduil dropped to his bed and relaxed . It had taken ages to convince Celeborn that the horoscope was wrong .He opened his magazine and started reading the book recommendations.

The love life of Orephor -

Orephor is rumored to have many children, not with his actual wife but also with other elleths . Tharanduil is known to have at least seven half siblings . Read this book to know more . It can be found in the Lothlorien book store .

He was furious . Though this was true , he had banned that book in Mirkwood . He had no idea that it was sold in Lothlorien . He threw the magazine out of the window .

In few weeks , this magazine had reached every elven realm . Tharanduil had banned it Mirkwood but Legolas had started a black market for it . Everyone was reading the book on their free time .

Haldir had had lots of work so he was unable to read the magazine. Finally , he was free . He sat under a tree and started reading the gossip . He loved gossip .

Fear or Hatred ?

King Tharanduil is renown for his hatred of dwarves due to their past disagreements. However , Elfopolitan believes that his hatred might have an entirely different reason. Our Proof ? Few days ago , Prince Legolas decided that it would be a good idea to prank his father . He wore a dwarf costume and marched into his fathers study .When his father saw him , he thought that it was a real dwarf . He screamed and fainted . Does this look like hatred to you ? Physiologists believe that people act like they hate someone, especially when they fear them . Is it true for King Tharanduil too or Is it entirely something else?

Haldir laughed .This was so funny … he had to mention this to Tharanduil .

The mysterious moans from the Kitchens

Lord Celeborn has a particular love for kitchens . Yesterday , he entered the kitchens at 6 pm, kicked the cooks out and stayed their for two hours . In that period of time , moans were heard from the kitchens . At that moment , Lady Galadriel was seen with Arwen , in the Imladris gardens .So what was Lord Celeborn doing ? Was he cheating on his wife or Is it entirely something else?

Haldir found this interesting . Poor Celeborn! He hoped that Galadriel did not read this article .

Galadriel looked at the gossip about Celeborn . She had read it weeks ago because she and Arwen had edited the write up of Gildor and had made it grammatically sensible but there was no harm in confronting Celeborn about it. It would be fun to watch him.

"Celeborn !" she screamed

"What ?" he asked

She showed him the gossip about him . " Is this true ?" she asked

Celeborn was terrified " No….uh …. Of course not… this is ridiculous. "

"But they told – "

"And you will believe them ? … all gossips are not true…. You know ?asked Celeborn

okaay ? but if I find any other proof that you are cheating on me … you are dead !" She left the room

Aragorn had just arrived in Imladris , after a trip with the rangers . He was extremely surprised to see everyone engrossed in a magazine . He bought it and started reading it . He loved the puzzles and could not wait to start doing it . He decided that it would be fun to do it with Arwen .

He called her and she agreed to help him. He looked at the word search carefully . Before he could start , Arwen found all the words .

Aragorn was surprised "Wow !you are brilliant at this ."

Arwen blushed " I know right ." In reality, she was the one who made this puzzle but are did not tell him that.

Aragorn smiled " I love solving puzzles . The article on how to spend time is interesting too ."

Arwen laughed . "I agree "
