Chapter 1: Akihabara – Things to Do.
Akihabara, known around the world as a leading techno town and the new home to some pretty awesome cultures, it's the best place to experience the funky lifestyle of the new, broadened world system and shop for high-tech gadgets at the same time. From electronic shops to maid cafés, there are lots of things do in Akihabara.
Yumiko Miura is at Yoda Camera, one of the best electronic stores in Japan to buy the latest electronic products. The nine storied department store is where the widest variety of electronic gadgets can be found. Unlike her friends, especially Ai Hayasaka, who is really into the latest high-tech products and can literally spend four to five hours trapped in this place, Yumiko Miura came here to make a simple purchase.
"Did you get your phone Miura?" Ai Hayasaka asked.
Miura nodded. "Yeah. I think this one should last until I graduate."
"Unless you drop it like last time while taking a selfie in your bikini." Nino Nakano said. "What an amateur mistake."
Miura glared at her friend and blushed and she was about to make an acidic retort when she was interrupted by the child-like excitement of her kohai.
"This place is awesome!" Mikoto Misaka exclaimed. "I bought video games, toys, luxurious brand products and cosmetic products. I think I brought everything this place has to offer. Thank you so much for bringing me here senpai."
"N-no problem." Miura said. Then, in a worried tone she added. "Just don't go live wire on us in here. I don't think even Ai could pay for the damages."
Mikoto Misaka blushed. "Of course, you don't have to worry about that." She then looked at all her senpais and found one of them missing. "Where is Tohsaka-senpai?"
"Right here," Rin Tohsaka said, making a dramatic appearance. "And I found just what I was looking for."
She brought out the content from her bag and showed it in a proud manner to all her friends. The assembled women looked at it and had different kinds of reaction. Ai Hayasaka had a smirk on her face, Yumiko Miura tried not to blush, Nino Nakano tried not to burst out in laughter and Mikoto Misaka was reduced to a bumbling, blushing mess.
"That's, that's -"
"A shoulder massager." Rin Tohsaka said haughtily.
Nino Nakano burst into loud, raucous laughter. Yumiko Miura gave her friend a look then shook her head. "Rin, I know you are bad with technology, but you are a second year university student. You should know what this thing is."
"It's a -" Rin tried.
"No, it's not a shoulder massager." Miura spoke over.
Ai Hayasaka had real trouble keeping her poker face, but she had to for appearances sake. But she couldn't resist the temptation. "It's a vibrator, Rin."
There was silence for about a minute. For those sixty seconds, Rin Tohsaka had turned an interesting shade of red. Finally she composed herself and said in a regal manner. "I-I knew that."
"Sure you did." Hayasaka smiled.
Miura then started to speak in a soft tone of voice, as if she was about to explain something really complex to an extraordinarily dull child. "Rin, do you know what a vibrator is?"
Rin blushed. "Sure do." She put the sex toy back in the bag and without saying another word she briskly moved past them, down the aisle until she disappeared behind another corner.
"You think she will keep it?" Mikoto Misaka asked.
"You are awfully curious, Misaka-chan." Nino Nakano teased.
"I'm not!" Mikoto Misaka added with a blush.
"Will she even know how to use that thing?" Miura asked. "I heard she has trouble recording television specials on a blu-ray recorder." When her fellow blonde haired friend said nothing, she persisted. "Ai, what do you think?"
"I think I need to make another purchase." Ai Hayasaka said, blushing. "Excuse me."
Yoshiteru Zaimokuza is at a maid café with two of his associates. Maid cafés, what would Akihabara be without thee, Zaimokuza wonders. Beside him, Staz Charlie Blood whom he had nicknamed Blood Lad sits in full tourist regalia, armed with a digital camera. Next to him in their table is seated Gintoki Sakata, with his sugary treat.
"This is heaven, don't you think." Zaimokuza starts. "A place where maids serve guests in cute frilly costumes while calling you master. Without a doubt, this is heaven."
"The food is really good too." Staz says.
"You should try the parfait." Gintoki Sakata says. "It's like tasting heaven."
"No, what is heaven is the sight of angels." Yoshiteru Zaimokuza says. "Observe and behold, the angel of humanity, Saika Totsuka!"
Saika Totsuka is a petite woman, small and demure. She has short silver hair which frames her face and back at the university she wears a green jacket with blue shorts and sheer leggings which cover her legs. Now as she comes to take their order, they are greeted with a new sight entirely, one which will stay with them forever
Saika Totsuka in a french maid out, the blouse, low cut, the apron, frilly and the black miniskirt a size too small then what can be considered modest. Then there are those sinfully black stocking clad legs of hers and the garter belts and the cute little cat ears resting on top of her head, it is all too much to take in. The polite, shy smile on her full lips as she comes back and gives a polite little bow reduces them to a blubbering mess.
"Does master want anything else, nyan?"
Yoshiteru Zaimokuza opens his mouth, but he chokes. Staz holds up his camera, aloft awkwardly and says. "Can I take a picture with you?"
Saika Totsuka blushes. It's really, really cute. "Okay, but you have to wait until my shift is over."
"Why's that?" Zaimokuza asks.
"Because last time I said yes to taking a picture with someone in the café, all the patron left their food and started forming a line to take a picture with me." She covers her mouth to hide an embarrassing giggle. "Guess, I'm really popular, huh."
Zaimokuza swallows. "R-right. We can wait."
"Okay." Saika Totsuka says before turning to the oldest member of their little group. "Do you need anything else, Sakata-sensei?"
Gintoki Sakata points to his empty parfait glass. "Another one of these please, Totsuka-chan."
Saika Totsuka smiles. "Right away master."
Gintoki winces. "Don't call me master."
When Totsuka leaves, Yoshiteru Zaimokuza and Staz Charlie Blood give Gintoki Sakata a look. They stare at him for a while, not blinking. It gets on his nerves and he bites out an annoyed, "What!?"
"What's wrong with you!" Staz shouts.
"A beautiful woman dressed in a cute maid outfit calls you master and you feel nothing, you are focused more on your parfait. Are you even human, Sakata-sensei!" Yoshiteru Zaimokuza asks after a little rant.
Gintoki Sakata shrugs. "I come here for the sugary treats."
Yukino Yukinoshita is at Akibaanimaru, the unique animal café, which earlier use to be called Akiba Fukurou and was only a simple owl café. But now they have expanded their business model and house a wide variety of animals, including cats, the reason why Yukino Yukinoshita finds herself here.
"Nyan~" Yukino Yukinoshita meows and the black cat gently rubs her head into the open palm of her hand, wanting her to give his head a few more pats. This brings a smile to her famous cold visage, something the students who know her in university would have loved to see, because it is a really nice, angelic smile, suitable for a beautiful, young woman.
This place has been her retreat, her quiet haven. Back in her first year of university she had discovered this place and she had been coming here ever since. Now a week into her second year, she finds herself back at this place. Nothing has changed, she thinks.
"Enjoying yourself, Yukinoshita-san."
It seems she was unaware of the fact that she had garnered an audience. Yukino Yukinoshita while playing with the cat had lowered herself towards the ground, legs bent underneath her and balancing on her feet. Looking over her shoulders, she spots the co-owner of this establishment and decides to get back on her feet to give him the proper respect he deserves.
"It's been a while, Sebastian-san."
Sebastian Michaelis gives a small bow. "Yes, indeed."
"How is your master?" Yukino asks.
"Master Ciel Phantomhive is in good health." Sebastian states. "He is thrilled to start his first day at Akihabara University."
Yukino Yukinoshita smirks. "That bad, huh."
Sebastian doesn't say anything in response. Seeing him all quiet, Yukino Yukinoshita decided to change the subject all together. "Do you have some new additions to this place?"
This time, Sebastian smiles happily. "Would madam like to pet some tigers?"
Yukino blinks. "T-Tigers?"
Hina Ebina was in Mandarake. It was one of the most significant stores in Akihabara, often called 'the largest manga and anime store in the world.' But that was before the hidden worlds came to light and all the new belief structures and power systems were revealed to the world at large. For their generation, Mandarake was something straight out of the pages of a fantasy novel, a place where the past, present and future intermingled.
And sold mangas and anime and many more cool stuff, making a hugely commercial merchandising empire out of all the new discoveries of the hidden worlds, manga, games, video games, action figures and many more.
"Yes! I got the Saiyan Yaoi!" Hina Ebina cheered.
"Keep it down Ebina-senpai." Kirino Kousaka chided. But then when she found her own treasure, she let out a loud squeal. "The new Ghoul Anime! Look at the cover on this case. I can't wait to watch this bad boy."
Keima Katsuragi collected his tenth gal game. "Hmm, these seem like a modest number of games." Then he gave a rueful smile. "I seem to be mellowing out in my university years."
Yu Ishigami smirked from beside him. "Soon, I will have your title, Katsuragi."
Keima adjusted his glasses. "It's not healthy to hold onto delusions, Ishigami. Besides, your competition is with that guy."
Yu Ishigami looked at the man in the blue suit, Keima Katsuragi was pointing at. Hirotaka Nifuji looked at the two guys who appeared to be university students. He was buying a shinobi action figure of a busty blonde haired fan favourite character.
He paid the brats no mind.
Akihabara is known as one of the most competitive districts of ramen restaurants. There are numbers of ramen restaurants which take their pride to serve the best ramen dishes. Hachiman Hikigaya and Shizuka Hiratsuka find themselves in one such establishment.
"I have to admit, this is the best ramen I have tasted for a while." Hachiman said.
"Told you I knew the best spots around town!" Shizuka Hiratsuka said with a smirk. "Now eat up."
"I'm still curious about the so called small favour you wanted to ask." Hachiman states while enjoying his food. "I already got my hands full with my roommates and club mates. I don't want anything else in my plate."
"Except for ramen you mean." Shizuka Hiratsuka plasters a smile to her face. "We can talk about that later. Now what do you say we head to some bar and get our drinks on." She slapped him in the shoulder. "You are now finally old enough to drink."
"And I get to have my first drink with you." Hachiman smiled. "I wouldn't mind that."
Shizuka Hiratsuka fills warm and fuzzy. She thinks about the new rule back at their campus. It's now legal for teachers and students to be in a relationship. But she doesn't have feelings like that for him, right? And him, he is Hachiman Hikigaya, rotten dead fish eyed loner. Sure he has gotten taller by a few inches and his shoulders are broader because he has been working out, getting really in to physical therapy after his accident last year and yeah, he looks handsome, has the air of darkness and mystery around him and oh boy, it sure is getting hot around here.
Shizuka Hiratsuka adjusts the collar of her blouse and thinks she needs a drink in her system right about now. But because she is bold and feeling crazy, she tells him her evil plan like some cartoon super villain.
"I'm gonna get you wasted and then when you are plastered, I'm gonna make you agree to do this small favour for me."
Hachiman Hikigaya gives her a look. "O-okay?" he says uncertain and a little bit worried. He can't help but think about a particular scenario in his head where the two of them are drunk out of their minds and they have a crazy sex filled night at some love hotel. But then come morning their relationship will be reduced to that of a one night stand.
He doesn't want that.
A/N: This is the second oneshot/teaser trailer of sorts for my Hachiman x Harem Fic (The first one being Eve). It will be set in Akihabara University. Now this fic will be heavy with the harem elements, so there might be some out of character moments and insane plot developments. Originally, I wanted to post this as the first chapter, but then I thought, the other idea I have in mind would be more appropriate.
