"Teddy, did you take the test yet?" Owen Hunt yelled excitedly through the bathroom door, as he waited for the mother of his possibly soon-to-be third child, to come out with the results of a tiny stick that could change the course of their lives forever.

Teddy giggled nervously.

"I JUST finished up, Owen! Can you give me a minute to finish wiping my ass?"

Owen laughed. No matter what the results said, they wouldn't stop trying. Because they were happy, undeniably happy. Shortly after they talked on that infamous evening of reconciling and tea drinking, where Owen welcomed Teddy back into his life, the best friends turned lovers, turned parents, turned sworn enemies, turned best friends again, decided that life was too short to wait. They loved each other and knew they wanted to be together for the rest of their lives.

They didn't want to waste any more time.

And they didn't, in every way possible. They started by going on little dates, some more intimate than others. Sometimes it would be a family outing/double date with Amelia and Link.

After a few dates, Teddy and Owen couldn't stand to not physically become part of one another anymore.

One night, after a gruesome day of losses, they couple met up in an on call room to talk. As they poured their hearts out to one another about their horrendous days, it happened. Simultaneously, slowly and lovingly, their stitches of clothing came off one by one. Each were of sound mind, despite their pain. They both wanted this and they were both ready. Especially Teddy.

"Are you sure?" Owen asked Teddy. He wanted to make sure she was perfectly clear before they made this next step. The last thing he wanted to do was take advantage of her the way Allison and Tom did.

"Yes." Teddy whispered strongly. "I love you. I need and want to be with you, in every way possible." She stated and kissed him deeply. This time, he kissed back.

And that's what led them to be anxiously awaiting for a pee stick to dictate the rest of their lives.

"You know, we really are the most fertile 40-somethings I know…" Owen chuckled as Teddy came out of the bathroom slowly, pee stick in hand.

Teddy shook her head, rolling her eyes.

"I'm 44, Owen, I'm not ancient! Plenty of women have babies into their late 40's, even early 50's nowadays." She snapped jokingly.

The couple sat down on their bed and looked lovingly into each others eyes.

They took each others hands and squeezed them.

"In all seriousness, Owen…"

"Yeah?"

Tears began to pool in Teddy's emerald green eyes.

"I really hope I'm carrying your baby again."

Owen started to cry too and wrapped the love of his life in his arm, kissing her on the forehead like he always does.

"Me too, honey, me too."

"And you don't think it's too fast? I mean, we just got back together and we've been through so much…I don't want the fact that we're having another baby…I don't want you to feel obliga-" but Owen cut her off.

"Teddy. Come on. I thought we were past this? And I thought you've been working on your intrusive thoughts in therapy?" He asked concerning.

"I have, I have! But, recovery also doesn't happen overnight Owen…" Teddy replied shyly.

"I know that…" Owen said sweetly, and tucked some loose blonde curls behind her ear, "I'm just saying, take what you've learned into consideration. Not to mention how deeply I'm in love with you and this life we're building together…"

"So, baby number one, or number two, I'm not an obligation?" Teddy asked. She just had to ask, she couldn't help herself. She was hormonal.

"You are not and never were, an obligation Theodora Grace. Not once." He stated with a soft kiss on her perfect lips.

"Okay." She whispered and kissed him back deeply.

Suddenly, the timer on her phone went off, indicating that the test was ready.

"It's time." Owen beamed.

Teddy took a deep breath.

"Owen…"

But there were no words. Owen was already sobbing and so was she.

"Two lines…" Teddy said.

"Clear as day…" Owen replied.

Suddenly Owen stood up and twirled Teddy around like the first day she showed back up in Seattle only three years ago.

"We're having another baby, Teddy! We did it!" Owen laughed and cried.

"We are." Teddy beamed, as he put her down but quickly scooped her up and twirled her around again.

"I love you so much Teddy. This is everything that was meant to be and more for us. I can't wait to have this baby with you. I can't wait to continue on this new journey with you. You're everything to me." He declared and placed a hand warmly on her flat stomach…"you, and our growing family are everything to me."

6 months later-

"Teddy, Teddy breathe honey it's okay, just breathe." Owen instructed.

Even as an experienced doctor and trauma surgeon, he was terrified. After driving home from seeing Megan, Nathan and Farouk in Malibu, Owen's truck broke down in the middle of nowhere. On top of that, Teddy's water broke a week early.

"I told you we shouldn't have gone to see them so late in the pregnancy!" Teddy screamed as another contraction ripped through her. This labor was going even faster than the one she had with Allison.

"Our little soldier just couldn't wait!" Owen said, trying to lighten the mood.

Teddy grunted.

"Owen I have to push, I can't hold it any longer, this baby is coming NOW!" She gritted her teeth through yet another contraction.

"Okay, okay. Just let me check you first…you can't push if you're not at 10, Teddy, you know this. Now hang on…" Owen said as he went to examine her once again.

"I can't help it, Owen! I'm trying so hard not to push but the urge is so strong!" Teddy cried.

"Okay, you're almost there honey, 9.5! Just half a centimeter left to go…at the rate you're going it should be within the next ten minutes or so! Then you can start pushing." Owen said.

"Oh god, come on!" Teddy yelled.

"Just focus on your breathing! Come on, you got this Major!"

"Owen, I can't. I thought I could but I can't! I can't do this again, I want my mom!"

Owen's heart broke seeing Teddy in so much pain again, but he knew the end result would be worth it. Just like last time, when their gorgeous daughter was placed in her arms for the first time.

"I got you, Teddy. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere. You're safe. You'll be okay, you got this, and our baby is going to be born healthy and strong, just like their mama."

Teddy smiled. She was having a moment of relief and Owen's words were melting her at the same time.

"Do you still think it's a boy?" Teddy asked.

"I do!" Owen smiled. "Just a feeling."

Teddy nodded and smiled weakly, she was so exhausted already, "me too."

Minutes later, Teddy's urge to push couldn't be held back any longer. Luckily, she was ready.

"Okay, Teddy. Come on, take a deep breath and push as hard as you can!"

And she did.

She pushed and pushed until the she heard the sweetest sound she'd been waiting for, the healthy, strong, high pitched wail of her new baby entering the world.

"Are they okay?!" She gasped as soon as she heard the wailing.

"See for yourself…" Owen cried and handed the tiny, fiery red haired baby into their mothers arms.

Teddy scooped the baby into her arms and cradled him, yes him, against her chest.

"Our boy…" Owen cried.

Teddy looked up at Owen, with tears streaming down her face, as she held their now sleeping little creation in her arms and rocked him gently.

"He's perfect." Teddy sobbed as her son looked up at her with all the love in the world. "He's so, so perfect…"

"Just like you." Owen laughed, wiping the happiest of tears from his eyes. "I'm so proud of you Teddy. You did this. Thank you for him. Thank you for Allison. Thank you for being such an amazing mother to Leo."

Teddy nodded and blew him a kiss.

"Anytime, Major." She laughed.

"I love you." Owen said and leaned down, kissing his girl and his new baby boy.

"I love you more." Teddy whispered.

The end.
