Hello everyone! Before the fics starts, I thought I could do somehthing fun and that I don't normally do. Since this fic is centred around bands and music, I thought it would be appropriate to give a small playlist for each chapter. How this is going to work is the following: I list the songs at the begining of each chapter and you, the reader, can choose to listen to the songs while reading or not, completely up to you. Although I do believe it completes the experience. Also, some playlists may be too long for a certain chapter or even too little. This will of course depends of how fast you read. So, furthermore, here's the first chapters playlist (don't judge my music taste, let's all be friendly):

The Way That I Am- Tove Lo

YUME

Alone in her room, wearing nothing but a satin robe that compliments the dark tones of her skin, Yume practices the most recent assignment given by her teacher. She strangely relates to the feeling of the song. A slow and fluid melody, somewhat romantic and relaxing to the ear. Her right hand vibrates the strings while the bow glides smoothly across them in her left hand.

Somehow, the song reminds Yume of him.

From the ceiling to the floor, his presence is still imminent in the room even after he leaves. At every second, she pretends they were still skin to skin. Every time she peers at their picture together in the small mirror, her left hand gives in for one second and she has to start from the beginning. Her skin is warm and drops of sweat start to form in her temples as the melody picks up a more ritmic pace.

Forever stuck in their moments. Even when he isn't there, she can't stop herself from thinking about him. Wondering what he is doing, if he is taking care of himself or doing all the things he shouldn't as usual.

The music stops and Yume relaxes her body. Immediately the room is filled with the sound of the rain hitting on the window. Passing the bow to the right hand, Yume uses her now free arm to attempt to tame her messy, light brown curls. She looks around for her violin case where she stores the instrument, leaving the case open.

In the mirror, the picture of Zora and herself, his eyes always follow her. She crosses her room towards the mirror, at direct eye contact, even though it was nothing but a picture, it was like electricity. Half of his face was covered by his phone. Blue eyes enchanted, looking straight at the mirror that was in front of them when taking the picture. Yume's features are completely visible, an unreadable look on her face. She couldn't recall what was going through her mind at the time either. Their temples were touching and the picture was cut so it was only showcasing their faces.

Zora introduced a whole new world to Yume. Completely different from what she was used to. Almost a parallel life from her career. How he found her is a question she never got an answer to. And now she has no way to escape from him, nor does she want to search for one. Even though she shouldn't, the burning sensation with him is addictive and her heart skipped a beat everytime. Like a spell put down on her. Everytime she hears Zora's name, the pleasure surpasses the pain.

It had been months since he approached her in the empty rehearsal room. She never knew what he was even doing in a college he wasn't enrolled in. Ever since then, their days and nights are filled with obsession.

The ring of her phone cuts her fazed state and wakes her up to the reality around her. The girl found the gadget in the unmade bed, lying on the white sheets. Her father is calling her. Now, that was truly one call from reality. Slapping her in the face, telling her to let her fantasies go and focus on the allegedly important matters.

But life is never what it seems. And in the months to come, Yume will be led to believe this.

It is always down to a single choice that can change the course of everything.

The night is cloudy, but the rain stopped somewhere after the sun went down. Yume clings to her navy blue coat. The white shirt she wore underneath is attire for warmer weather, but she hoped the coat would protect her from the harsh wind.

She takes a turn and the wind becomes softer, barely stronger than a breeze. Her eyes have to adjust to the sudden pink and purple neon lights of the bars and nightclubs. The brightness of such places always make her eyes sting.

Many are the groups at the entrances of said bars. Majorly men in their mid-twenties and adolescents. The occasional group of women who stand close together with cigarettes and bottles in their hands.

Yume glances side to side as she tries to stroll up the street like she belongs. A cloud of smoke is blown in her direction. With disgust, Yume controls her expression to keep it tight-lipped, until she swerves her head to the right and recognizes the figure leaning on the brick wall. An enigmatic smile and a glint to his eyes that calls for her. It was Zora.

"Is that really necessary?" Yume asks as she makes her way to the man, fanning the smoke out of the way.

Zora leans closer to her and leaves a peck on her cheek.

"You're the one who wants me the way that I am." he sneers in response.

Despite what he says, Zora puts down the cigarette and blows the last of the smoke with his chin lifted above Yume's head. After that, the woman inches closer to him, she raises her arms to rest around Zora's neck. His hands relax on her hips.

"So, what exactly was the whole secrecy about? And what is this place?" Yume wonders, furrowing her brows.

"Remember how you said you wanted to meet the gang? That's what we are doing tonight."

"Here?"

Her tone was more than quizzical, it verges on the judgmental tone as she averts her eyes to the street of night life.

"Our natural habitat," Zora jokes, but when Yume returns a concerned look, he speaks with seriousness. "It's just a party. No weird business. And you don't have to drink or smoke or even dance. You can just stay on the couch all night with Sano and your single virgin drink all night until the cup is warm. Whatever makes you comfortable."

"It's not exactly my scene." she whispers.

"I know you pride yourself to be a good one. But you ought to have fun every once in a while. It doesn't have to be about your career all the time." with his thumbs, Zora rubs the back of Yume's coat in a calming manner. "You were also the one who said that regrets not partying in your adolescence. I'm giving you a chance to do something you regret not doing. But you don't have to."

Yume sighs profoundly and half smiles.

"Fine. I'm leaving if the atmosphere is weird."

"I will take you home whenever you like."

Leaning forward, Zora leaves a warm kiss on her forehead. The traces of his nicotine addiction cling to the air and proceed directly to her nose. Without no time to complain, Zora grabs her hand and leads the way through the vast groups of people, in the direction of the loudest out of the establishments.

At the entrance, Zora simply nods at the bouncer and enters, dragging Yume with him. A shower of colours and lights invaded her eyes and her ears were pierced by the booming remixed versions of popular songs. The sound so loud it resonated in her chest.

She glanced around, trying to capture the ambiance of the place. People laughed and danced, some more skilled than others. She stumbled behind Zora between strangers until he halted his step.

"I see Dabi and Hawks." Zora glances over his shoulder and shouts to Yume's ears.

His voice was muted by the raucous around them, but she is able to distinguish the words and nods. As he keeps moving forward, Yume tries her best to wipe the puzzled look from her face and plaster on a friendly smile.

In a couch, on the corner of the space, furthest from the dancing floor and from the noise, a man with black spiky hair glares at them. Yume has difficulty to understand if the colours and shadows are playing tricks on her eyes or if in fact he has burning scars on most of his face. She would soon find out as Zora was rushing towards that same couch.

Purple burn marks under his eyes, jaw and chin. The skin holds together only by the grip of staples that secured the burned tissue to his healthy, however dry, skin.

Seated next to him was a blond man with eyes of a hawk. He had scarlet wings that, even though they were collected and partially hidden behind the couch rest, it was obvious they would be sizable once opened. This one has a smirk on his face as he lifts his head from the screen on his hand.

Yume positions herself on Zora's side, as she tightens the grip on his hand.

"Having fun, I see." Zora jokes.

"You're late, asshole." the man with burn marks spat.

"Give him a break, he brought a lovely companion." the blond man leaned forward in his seat as he kept eye contact with Yume. "What's your name? I'm Hawks!"

Before she could respond, Zora coughs and speaks instead,

"Where 's Sano?"

Without moving from his slouched position, the scarred man, who Yume assumes to be Dabi, scarcely swivels his head to his left and nods to point to that direction before he tucks his chin in again.

"With her boyfriend."

"I'm going to have to do this more than once, what a drag." Zora complains.

Yume chuckles before she greets them appropriately.

"My name is Yume Kurosawa." she smiles.

"The lovely Yume we have been hearing so much about! I thought Zora would never introduce us!"

"I go by Dabi."

"It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise, Kurosawa." Hawks responds.

"Sano is the only one who's missing. You'll meet her soon enough." Zora explains. "Meanwhile. we'll buy some drinks. Be right back."

"See ya!"

The cheery winged man waves them off while their gloomy peer merely follows with his gaze as Zora pulls Yume by her hand.

At the counter, Zora asks what she wants to drink.

"Beer is fine." she responds.

After he places the order for them, Yume has more questions in mind. She must know it all.

Her hand pulls on Zora's shirt to get his attention, he lifts a brow at her.

"That's everyone from the band?"

"Well, technically, yes. But it's hard to call us a band anymore."

His gaze falls to the counter. The tone of his affected voice is louder to Yume than the resounding music.

"What does that mean? Is there stress between the members?"

His eyes dart around the wall of drinks behind the counter, his face as serious as ever.

"Not exactly. It's just we haven't been making any music recently. For more than a year, to be clear."

"Is it because of what happened to the lead singer? It was a long time ago, right? The band is not over it yet, huh?"

Zora stares down on her and his hand falls from her waist.

"You sure have many questions." he says simply.

Yume clings to his shirt, keeping a certain distance between them, she stares into his eyes with persistence. She won't let him go without a clear answer.

On his side, Zora's lips tugg downward as his face falls. He looks like a sorry man searching for the correct words. But he makes a puzzled expression while mustering up an answer for Yume. No matter who Yume asks from the band, no one has the answer.

"It's more complicated than that."

DABI

"Kurosawa…" Hawks muttered the name.

"Huh?"

Dabi gives him a side glance. The man beside him altered his demeanour the second Zora and his girlfriend had left.

He seats on the edge of the couch, giving his wings more space. His gaze is sharp, in the thought process of whatever is crossing his mind.

"I recognize that name from somewhere. But I can't put my finger on it."

"Maybe because Zora won't shut up about her?" Dabi responds, uninterested.

"No, Zora is on a first name basis with her," Hawks answers, matter-of-factly. "It's from somewhere else."

Dabi rolls his eyes. That man always has to be theorizing and thinking. Even when it seems he is relaxing and kicking it back, his brain is always functioning in high gear.

It sounds exhausting. So, Dabi takes a sip of his drink and glances around the crowd instead.

He should be having fun, it is a party after all, but no one appealing is around. No one available for him, at least.

Dark skinned, long curly jet-black hair and big eyes of the colour of the night sky. Her name is Rumiko Sano. And she is too busy to pay him any attention. Zora has his new, shiny girl and Hawks is in a daze that is impossible to pull him out of.

More than a year ago, was when it happened. But Hawks was the one more affected by it, still recovering from the loss of someone dear. More special to him than anyone else.

It is a drag. In a room filled with people, Dabi is all alone.

Until Rumiko appears out of nowhere, with a skin-tight dress that accentuates every curve of her body and her curls fall long on her back. She sighs heavily before she throws herself to the couch, right between Hawks and Dabi , surprising the first who didn't notice her passing in front of him.

"Aren't you a sight for sore eyes." Hawks says with sudden cheer.

"Yeah, sure." Rumiko's response is dry. Which is uncharacteristic of her. Then, she swerves her head on the couche's back, in Dabi's direction. "Could you do me a favour?"

Dabi raises a brow.

"I'm not going to kill anyone if that's what you're asking."

Her head drops back to the cushion with that answer.

"Not even if he is an absolute dick?"

"Jeez, Kumiko. Who hurt you?" Hawks jokes.

"My boyfriend broke up with me because I'm fat."

"He did what?!"

A/N:

And that's the new Band AU crossover between Black Clover and My Hero Academia! There a few things I would like to point out and hopefully I won't forget any.

As you may have noticed by Hawks wings, they do have their quirks and Zora can use his magic, but is more in quirk form. Meaning, he doesn't need his grimoire.

There are two original characters, Yume and Rumiko, and technically a third, but you we will get to that later.

This fic does have my hero manga spoilers as in, Dabi's past and true identity, if you already know about this, then it's safe to read. He's also no longer a villain.

Hawks in not a pro-hero is this fic. Let's say he managed to escape the claws of the agency/organization/i don't remember the name of the thing right now and now pursues his new dream in music.

This fic doesn't follow any cannon, the whole plot is made up by me, the characters belong to their rightful owners, I only wrote the OC's. There are heroes and villains, but those are small parts of the story and will not impact it much, only later on. And let's say the war arc or the MVA arc never happened. Basically, forget the my hero and the Black Clover cannon story for this fic.

I think that's it. Hopefully, I remembered everything, if not, you will find out soon enough. Thank you for reading the first chapter!
