In the span of mere 2 weeks chapter 1-8 occurred and this fanfic starts at the first chapter of course. The moment we all woke up from our slumber beneath Chernoborg. We of course will be following our beloved doctor who uses his/our own sanity to complete operation for Rhodes Island. But I'll mainly focus on Kal'sit, Amiya, Doctor and some of my favorite Operators. I'll try not to make them all too out of character :D
"Doctor! Doctor! Open your eyes Doctor!"
The moment I opened my eyes I saw a donkey ears, donkey? Wait is that a rabbit? Amidst this thought I heard a loud bang and felt the surroundings shake.
"Doctor! Thank goodness you woke up! Please try to stand up we need to get out of here." Says the girl with brown eyes, strange she seems familiar, but I remember her having a pink hair… remember? Who?
"Out? I'll try". I tried to stand up but my feels really groggy, I wonder why…. I? who? Who are these people and why do I need to go with them? It seems that I don't remember anything. I'll try asking her.
As we start running I asked them who she is and does she know who I am, The brown haired girl suddenly stops running and stairs at me. "You don't know me?" With a really sad face she asked me. I felt a tinged in my chest upon seeing this but it can't be helped.
"Unfortunately I don't" I explained.
{And the events leading up till they get back to Rhodes Island Occured}
Onboarding Rhodes Island
"Doctor, this is Rhodes Island, We're a pharmaceutical company that focuses on curing the oriphathy, I'll introduce you to Dr. Kal'sit she's the head of our Medical team" says Amiya.
I thought to myself is my life heavy enough to let someone else die for me? I don't even know who I am and the things I can do. But what's done is done, I need to live up to this kid's expectation of me. While I think of things like this we arrived at our destination.
Amiya pushed the button of the intercom and said "Dr. Kal'sit! We're back" I heard a burst of wind and noticed that the steel door slid letting us inside the lab.
Upon entering I felt nostalgic for some reason and when I saw a white haired woman with a smile on her face I felt bewildered and comfortable at the same time. But after blinking what I saw is a really cold expression on a the woman, it seems I hallucinated.
"I got some verbal report earlier from the field operators Amiya, it seems we unexpectedly lost some operators and resources for this rescue mission, do you still insist that all of these lost are worth it for him?" she says while shooting a really cold glance at me.
What's with all the hate? Are you my wife or something? Did I cheat on you before going to that really long sleep? I think to myself, maybe I'll ask Amiya later what is this about.
IF she's this hostile to me then why did I saw her smiling in the hallucination earlier? Was that my memory? Was there a time where she will smile upon seeing me return?
"Yes Dr. Kal'sit, if not for Doctor's help we wouldn't have been able to get out of that alive" says Amiya. Go girl! You tell her what my worth! WOOOOO RABBIT GIRLS ARE THE BESSSSTTTTT. Is what's in my mind during that
"Yes but we won't lose anyone or any of our resources if we have waited for a better time than this" says Kal'sit. She's Amiya should've waited for a better timing than this, strange even though it's detrimental for me I find myself agreeing to this hostile woman.
"But what's done is done, go and lay on the bed over there, I need to check-up your status, that goes to you too Doctor." Continues Kal'sit
"Dr. Kal'sit the doctor has amnesia" says Amiya
"We will see about that" Kal'sit says as she ready her clipboard and other medicinal instruments for the check-up.
It was finally my turn so I sit in front of Kal'sit and we stare at each other. As I was staring at her it feels like she wants to say something to me, I can even see her facial muscles sometimes tense up and relax for a while now. About 30 seconds later Amiya told me to take my helmet and my jacket off so that Kal'sit can proceed… I feel embarrassed.
I took off my helmet and jacket and look at Kal'sit again, I found her staring back at me, what I felt from her stare is not the cold hostilities but warm welcome and relief to see my alright. I feel warm inside and I feel like I'm smiling like a donkey right now but thankfully it was just my imagination as my facial features remain neutral even now.
Another 30 seconds pass with just us staring at each other and Amiya couldn't take the silence anymore so she speaks up to remind Kal'sit of the check-up.
"It seems that everything is fine for you Amiya. Though for the doctor, the physical exam seems to indicate he is fine and it seems that he truly does not remember anything prior to waking up just as everyone have said" Kal'sit says, but for some reason I can detect a hint of distrust from her words. But it seems I'm not the only one imagining it.
"The doctor really does have amnesia Dr. Kal'sit" argues Amiya
"hmm" hums Kal'sit as if indicating she agrees. "Anyway Amiya please give the doctor a good tour of Rhodes Island as this will be his new home"
"Fine" Amiya utters as she is not totally fine with the conclusion of the conversation.
After the pair get out Kal'sit lay down on the bed the doctor used during his examination albeit he only sat there, It still feels warm, she thought to herself. I'll never forgive you doctor. These kinds of things run through her head as she imagines herself being covered with the doctor's scent on top the bed.
Extra:
Upon going to cafeteria for her break, Kal'sit saw an unusual group namely Closure, Walfarin and Amiya. Closure suddenly call out to her as she thought to herself that this people doesn't mix really well together. When she arrive the group questions her relationship with the doctor as the group wonders why she is hostile to him. She skillfully dodged the question and tried to change the subject but Closure not about to get undone asked Amiya why she wanted to know. And Amiya answers "Well the doctor asked if Dr. Kal'sit was her wife back then and if he cheated with other woman back then as she is so hostile to him". Upon hearing this, the operators in the cafeteria have a diverse reaction: some are confused, some ponders the theory and some respected the doctor more. But the most interesting reactions came from Walfarin. Closure and Kal'sit, as Closure burst into uncontrollable laughter and Walfarin have this really smug face while looking at Kal'sit and Kal'sit mouth agape with pinkish hue to her face then after some time turns to red boiling anger and proceeded to lecture the 3 in the cafeteria after.
