Chapter 1: Where am I

To say it was a good day was an understatement for Kevin. He is 6'1" black male and he was sleeping.'It's scolding out here, when did I turn off the AC?' thought the 23 year old.

He was wearing a red jacket with a black t-shirt underneath. A pair of blue jeans and some red then shifts over to then feel sand on his hands. This made him bolt right up. He then took in his surroundings.

This wasn't his apartment in NYC. Then he remembered that he had never gone home that night. He was working late at the lab.

He was on some sand terrain in a place he had never seen before. He looked to his side to see a few buildings scattered about and to see some sort of structure that led into a mountain.

" Ok Kevin you're not in Kansas anymore" said Kevin to himself out loud.

Kevin then something reflective on the ground. He immediately recognized it. It was the matter shifting watch he was working on late in the lab.

It was just a black metal watch, and it was just laying there on the ground. He then picked it up, and noticed that it was finished.

He must have finished it before he must have dozed off. That still didn't explain why he was here. He then put the watch on his wrist for safe keeping.

He looked off in the distance to see a lot of ships in the air. ' The technology is amazing, when did they develop that' he thought. Then a bunch of fireworks were being shot into the air.

' It must be some sort of celebration' he thought. He then started making his way over there.

Time skip

It was a hell of a wall,but he finally got to the ships. " At least I got my exercise in for the day," he said jokingly to himself. He then saw a lot of people gathering around and cheering.

Then a booming voice came up on a loudspeaker " ARE YOU READY TO SEE THE LEGENDS?" Everyone then began shouting and cheering, Kevin was confused. Many questions were buzzing in his mind.

Then a kid bumped into him. The little girl looked up and said " sorry mister." Kevin then said to her " it's ok. Who are the legends?"

The little girl looked at him confused. The mother of the child came up and led the little girl away. While giving Kevin a questioning look.

Kevin could swear the woman said " Who doesn't know who the legends are." Now Kevin was even more confused. He then saw people holding holographic newspapers.

The technology of this place was decades ahead of the things he's used to seeing.

Then he saw the date on the paper. It said 2733.

'That can't be right' he thought. The year was 2021 just yesterday. He started to panic, Then he went up to a random man.

Kevin then asked" excuse me sir, do you know what year it is?" The man then replied " it's 2733." This confirmed Kevin's fear. He then walked away and had to sit down. He was in the future.

HE WAS IN THE FUTURE.

Kevin didn't know what to do.' How do I get back' he thought. There were so many questions floating in his mind.

Kevin then stood up. 'Ok first things first, find a way back to your own time. It's not like you can tell anyone your from the past without looking stupid' he thought. Kevin then looked up to see people screaming.

Kevin then looked and saw that one of the ships was coming down. It looked to have been engulfed in flames. It came down with a crash and threw up lots of dust. People were running away from the disaster.

Kevin then kicked it into high gear and started running for his life. A big crack was forming in the structure of the rocks above. The rocks started falling down and they were going to hit him.

Kevin did some quick math in his head and saw that he was not going to make it. He then remembered the matter shifting watch on his wrist.

He then took a deep breath and twisted the watch's face. Kevin then became semi transparent with a blue tint of outlines of his body.( think like Danny phantom's intangibility).

The rock came falling down on him but he passed through them harmlessly. Then he came to an open space, and turned the watch off. He then sat down and started breathing heavily to get his lungs the needed oxygen back into them.

A man had seen this whole ordeal. He was a white man with a white sleeveless jacket that had red accents, white pants, and grey combat boots. He also looked like the years were coming on to him.

Kevin then got up and started moving again. He then looked up to see a woman about to be crushed by a falling metal beam.

Kevin went into a full on sprint, and pushed him and the woman out. The woman asked " are you ok" in a french accent. At that moment Kevin passed out. The woman then yelled " Che I need zou over here."
