Nightwing, or rather, Dick Grayson landed almost silently onto the rooftop of his apartment in the middle of the night. Carefully, he jumped down the fire escape and took out his keys. Opening the screen door, Dick ducked inside.

"Babs?" He called his girlfriend's name. She wasn't laying on the couch half-asleep attempting to hack the FBI again.

"In here!" Babs called back, her beautiful voice coming from the hall closet. Dick walked towards it and opened the door. Babs was sitting on the ground, her knees curled up to her chest. She looked like she had been crying. Dick sat down next to her, leaving the door open.

"Babe, what's wrong?"

"Dick, I-I didn't mean for this to happen-" Babs said into her knees. Dick put an arm around her and pulled her closer to him. She started to cry again.

"What happened?" He asked gently, kissing the top of her head.

"I-it came out positive." Babs shakily replied.

"What came ou-" Dick stopped as Babs opened her hand to reveal a pregnancy test. She looked up at him, her bright green eyes glimmering in the darkness.

"I'm pregnant."

Dick opened his mouth several times, but nothing came out. He took the test from her and pulled Babs into his lap. "Hey, c'mere, it's not a bad thing. It's not a bad thing at all." Dick reassured her, although he was a little discombobulated himself.

"But Dick, what'll your dad think?" Dick gently put a hand under her chin and lifted it so she would look at him. "It doesn't matter what my dad thinks. It's not his kid, therefore it's not his problem. He really shouldn't have an opinion. And sure, maybe we're a little young, you being 22 and me being 23, but we can do this, 'kay?"

Babs smiled at his confidence, snuggling closer into him. He chuckled and picked her up, bride-style.

"We are not going to sleep in a closet." Dick carried her safely to their bedroom and set her down, pulling the blankets up to her chin. He got in bed with her and pulled her to his chest. Just as Dick was about to fall asleep, he realized he had left the closet open. It didn't matter. All that mattered was that his Babs was safe.
