Hello everyone! How're you all? Fine and safe, I hope. Actually, I wasn't supposed to post this on today...but...but

How could I resist my fingers? After all, yesterday, it was the birthday of one of my cutest little sisters and one of the obsessed, ardent, die-hard KaiHil fan: kaihilnator. My dear, Di apologizes to you *Holds ears* as she didn't know about your birthday. Neither she could wish you, nor could she give you a proper gift soon. That's why, dear Tatu, here it remains, your birthday gift. I know that you're particularly fond of Hilary-centered KaiHils. In all your fics, I've seen a new Hilary, her fights, her struggles, her bravery and every time, I've been amazed, I've been bewitched at your imagination, at your portrayal of the precious brunette.

So, for you, here remains the belated birthday gift. A Hilary-centered fic, KaiHil it is though very minor. This fic portrays the struggles of a mother, her duties, the bravery of a woman as well as a doctor. Since it was Mothers' day in this week, so along with my dear Tatu, I dedicate this one-shot to all the mothers in this world too. I don't know whether you'll agree with me or not but in my eyes, a woman is the strongest when she becomes a mother. Motherhood portrays her strength, her power, her courage in the best way. Besides, for being a mother, a woman doesn't have to give birth to any child always.

Anyways, pardon my blabbering. Let's go through the fic, appreciating the power of mothers and women!

"Gou, my prince," The fingers of the chocolate-haired woman brushed through the slate bangs of her son, "Now close your eyes and sleep."

"No mamma, I won't sleep now!"

Half-lidding his eyes and resting his head on the pillow, with all the preparations to sleep done and taken, the four-year-old carbon-copy of her husband objected sternly against her decision. Defiant he was sometimes, just like his father. The same twin-toned hair he had, inheriting the ruby orbs from his mother along with her skin tone. With them shimmering with excitement, pleas and persistence paired by a screwed nose and a pair of pouted lips, who could disagree that he was a miniature version of Kai Hiwatari and Hilary Tachibana Hiwatari? The brunette giggled, guessing that he wouldn't sleep anytime soon. Even coaxing her one-year old daughter to sleep wasn't so tough for her but sometimes, the dual-haired little guy was impossible.

"Hmm…I see…" The mother threw her arms around him, "Looks like my prince wants to listen to another story from his mom today, doesn't he?"

"Sure!" He couldn't keep the excitement of listening a new tale from his mother in control as it flickered from his garnet pools.

"Okie!" No sooner had the brunette sat up on the bed than her son imitated her too. Hilary frowned, noticing the antic of her son.

"What happened, Hiwatari JR?" She asked, "Why have you got up? You could listen to me even lying on the bed."

"No mamma, you always cheat me!" He pouted, "You never finish your stories properly. Whenever I listen to them lying on the bed, I-I always sleep in the end! But today, I'll listen the full story from you! Hmph!"

Hilary sighed, giggling faintly. Now, along with being persistent, her son was also alert like his father too. As a four-year old toddler, he was so cunning, learning from his experiences and mistakes. Unknowingly, the brunette felt proud of her son.

"Fine…your Highness…" She coughed, "Today, I'll complete a full story in front of you. Don't sleep while listening to it, will ya?"

"No no, I'll never!" He furiously shook his head, demanding, "Now say it!"

"Looks like my little prince has been so restless," Winking, the mother stroked his bangs, "Fine, listen to me. Once upon a time, there was a queen ruling a large and beautiful kingdom. Her name was…"

"Hiromi?" He pleaded with puppy-dog eyes, "Please mamma, let her name be Hiromi!"

"Uh oh…okie…" She flushed a bit, "So, queen Hiromi was a brave, intelligent and kind queen. She loved her subjects just like her own children. The people of her kingdom also loved her like a mother. She wasn't afraid of anybody or anything. She had a broad heart."

"Then?" Zeal was evident in his pitch, eyes glimmered again in excitement over the huge grin of his lips as he was trying hard to imagine his birth-giver playing the role of the queen.

"She was spending her life in peace and happiness, just like the people of her kingdom," Spook all of a sudden possessed her tone, "But one day, a bad, furious and horrible demon attacked their beautiful state. He was slaying so many people that their blood reddened the roads and streets of the kingdom. The monster was very strong and couldn't be defeated by anyone. Their happiness was completely ruined."

"Bad story!" Gou grouched, "I don't wanna listen to you!"

"Aww…my boy, I know that you don't like demons," Hilary patted his back, "But do you know what happened after it? The queen bravely declared a war against the demon."

"What?"

"Yes, she said, 'I won't spare them who kill my subjects!'" The brunette narrated, "Then, she pulled out a magical sword. The demon kept trying and trying to kill her but he couldn't. She dodged all his attacks perfectly. The fight became very intense. But at a moment, the queen hit the head of the monster with her magical sword and the demon died, falling down on the ground. With his death, peace, pleasure and happiness returned to the kingdom again. Everyone started living happily and praised the queen for her bravery. Thus, queen Hiromi succeeded to save her kingdom."

"Yay! The story is so awesome!" Gou was about to punch in the air but stopped, "Wait, this story is so short! Tell me another, mamma, please!"

"Gou, if I tell you another story today, what will you listen tomorrow?" The mother pinched his cheeks, "Sleep for tonight. If you sleep now like a good boy, mamma promises that she will tell you another story tomorrow."

"Promise?" He narrowed his eyes.

"Pinky promise!" Their little fingers intertwined each other as the brunette nodded.

"Yay!" He was overjoyed, "Okay mamma, good night."

"Good night, my child." She placed a tender peck on his forehead. Yawning, he lazed on the bed and within a moment, he got lost in the world of his fantasies. Hilary smirked. He was a quick sleeper, just like her. Neena wasn't like her brother but she was a deep sleeper, not waking up so soon. She wondered whether her husband had been so cheerful and cute like her son in his childhood. A few times she'd asked him about it but each time, he'd refused to tell her about it. She could guess the reason but she decided not to proceed by nagging him. Some things should be kept secret in this world, Hilary knew it too.

Kissing on his top once again and stroking his temple, Hilary pulled a blanket over the asleep toddler. Switching off the lights, no sooner had she come out from the bedroom of her son than her phone rang. Hilary quickly closed the door so that Gou couldn't wake up, hearing the sudden sound. Seeing the name of the ex-world champion of Beyblade as well as one of her closest friends on the screen, she frowned. Why did Tyson phone her at this hour?

However, the brunette received his call, "Hello, Tyson?"

"Hilary?" The navy-haired guy sounded worried and restless, "Dew is in pain…looks like her water has broken…please, help me!"

"What?"

Hilary frowned. Dew Tachibana Granger, the wife of Tyson Granger and his younger sister, was pregnant for eight months. She was expecting a girl this time, already being the mother of a three-year old son who was just a xerox copy of the world-champ. When the report of ultrasonography had been published, revealing the gender of the child, everybody had been so excited, particularly Tyson himself with a hidden wish to find his late mother in the image of his unborn daughter. Even Makoto had been so excited about it. When Hilary had asked him, he'd said that he'd wanted to cut the belly of his mother and bring out his little sister as he couldn't have been waiting anymore.

"Take her to the hospital, Tyson!" Her voice was stern, "Quick! I'm coming there within no moment!"

"Tyson! I-I cannot bear it…."

From the background, a faint feminine voice could be heard, not sweet as always. Hoarse it was, expressing in how much pain she was. Gritting her teeth, Hilary spoke, "Tyson, don't waste time. Just take her to hospital and wait for me. I won't be late."

Disconnecting the call, she quickly reached their bedroom, grabbed the white apron from the cupboard and draped it around her body. Hanging to stethoscope from her neck and somehow tying her chocolate locks into a messy bun after placing a kiss on the forehead of the asleep little brunette in the crib, she rushed to the study room where her husband was engaged in his office tasks. Seeing his wife in this attire at the dead hour of night, Kai Hiwatari became astonished. He stood up and frowned at her.

"Kai…" She gulped, "Dew's in labor pain, I have to go to hospital soon. Please, take care of Gou and Neena."

Not letting him any chance to speak, she ran out from the room to the garage. The dual-haired guy also followed her but already taking her car, she was out of their mansion. The phoenix-prince sighed. Being a doctor is too much hectic sometimes. Then again, he knew that Hilary would be successful in her job. Deep inside, he felt proud of his wife.

On the road, the hands of the speedometer of the olive-toned limousine touched seventy but the brunette didn't care a bit. She had to same someone's life, as well as to bring a new life on the earth. At that moment, her own life felt very trivial to herself.

The hospital lounge was looking white for being quite empty. Only a few nurses could be seen talking to two or three doctors and strolling, carrying some thick files. The navy-haired guy was sitting on a steel-rimmed bench, burying his face amidst his palms. Exhilarated and tensed he was at the same time. Though it was not for the first time in his life, he was way more excited than that. Overflowing the emotions were; he was yearning to take his little daughter in his arms. Oh my, how long did he have to wait for it? He didn't know. That's why, he was even more worried.

Hearing someone's footsteps, he raised his head and spotted the brunette present there. He quickly stood up and tried to speak something but Hilary stopped her.

"Don't worry, Tyson, I've reached here," She washed her hands properly, "Where's Dew?"

"Nurses have taken her to the operation theatre," He replied, "Still, she's in pain."

"Where is Makoto by the way?"

"I've dropped him to Hiro's place," The dragoon-wielder sighed, "He was so excited to meet his little sister but…"

"I can understand." Hilary put on her gloves and masks, "Don't worry. Has the only Granger princess arrived?"

"Nope, not yet." Tyson shook his head.

"Then no need to worry, be ecstatic," The brunette showed him a thumb, "Because…Dr. Hilary Tachibana Hiwatari is welcome Erika Granger to the world."

"Please Hilary…" His voice was getting braced with unwanted tears, "Doctors were saying that having the second child will be very risky for Dew. Yet, she didn't give up. I-I want to have both of them safe and sound."

"Duh!" The doctor tried her best to lighten the situation, "Dew is my sister and your wife, the wife of the Beyblade world-champion. No matter how soft she seems, she's as strong as you. As for your princess, the blood of Granger clan is flowing through her veins. She's a fighter just like you, of course, she'll survive, she has to survive. The rest? Put them on me!"

"Thanks, Hils…" Tyson faintly smiled. With an assuring smile plastered all over her face too, the brunette entered the labor room.

"Erika, huh?" He mused, faintly beaming amidst his tears and a quivering heart, "Papa is eager to receive you, princess."

A purple-haired, bronze-skinned woman was reposed on the bed, dressed in lavender hospital gown. A white rectangular sheet was covering her chest to ankles. She was shuddering violently in extreme pain. She couldn't express how much in amount it was. The temperature of the room wasn't more than 25 degree Celsius but even in the comfortable weather, she was sweating hard. Clutching the bedsheet, she was tilting her head here and there, perspiration clasped her violet bangs closer to her forehead-just like a slaughtered animal. Tears were trickling down on her tanned cheeks. It wasn't like she was experiencing the pain for the first time in her life but every time, the pain, the excitement-everything was new.

The brunette doctor approached her and held her wrist gently. Looking at her, the eyes of the patient welled. She whimpered, "Oni-chan…I…I am dying…"

Tears began to form in the ruby eyes of Hilary too. After all, she was also a mother of a four-year old toddler and a one-year old angel. She had also gone through the same pain twice in her life. When she'd been a medical student, one of her professors had said to her that a human body can bear only up to 45 units of pain. But when a woman gives birth to her child, she has to bear 57 units, which is equal to the pain of getting 20 bones of body fractured at a time. Hilary couldn't guess how her soft, shy and sweet little sister could endure it. Then again, she was there for the purplette, both as a doctor and as an elder sister, a motherly figure.

"Dew-chan…you're tolerating the sweetest pain of the world at this time," She gently caressed the head of her younger sister, "Moreover, it's not the first time. You're a brave girl, aren't you? Just bear it for a few more moments, everything will be alright when you'll be cradling your precious princess in your arms-"

The doctor couldn't even finish her words. All of a sudden, the hospital building started shaking violently, more than the expecting mother on the bed. All the chairs, tables, trays, benches, beds, medical devices, monitors and operation instruments were shuddering as if they'd seen any imaginary, invisible ghost in the room. Hilary felt that she would fall down very soon; it was going tough for her to maintain her balance in the room. The lights went off as the electricity took leave from the hospital, for some time.

"What's…what's happening here?" The voice of a nurse quivered in the darkness.

"Earthquake!" Another screamed, "Earthquake it is! Everyone, let's leave the room as soon as possible!"

She didn't have to push her vocal cord that much. Before she could end speaking, everyone started rushing towards the door, not giving her a chance to finish her words. Like pebbles rolling down from through a slope, within no moment, all dashed out of the room, colliding with one another, pushing, falling, standing up and hurrying again. The brunette screamed from behind to tell them to stop but they didn't hear her. Even they did, they didn't show any sign to obey her. To whom in this world is job mightier than life ever, huh? As a result, the room remained the witness of utter selfishness, containing only two persons inside.

"Please…don't leave me alone here only now, oni-chan…" Dew sniveled, "After bringing my and…Tyson's…daughter, you can do everything…but please…not now…"

Hilary's eyes were already filled with tears. Now, they didn't hesitate to roll down on her cheeks. Really, where would she go leaving her pregnant sister alone there in labor pain? Even if someone saw it from professional perspective, it would be improper too. At last, but not at least, she herself was a mother. How could she ditch another mother in this way? Gou's and Neena's faces drifted before her eyes; she bit her quivering lips.

"No, Dew-chan…I won't leave you," She swiftly wiped her tears, "I promise, I'll bring your daughter on the earth, no matter what happens."

The chamber was still shaking, operation instruments were scattered on the ground, the monitor which was supposed to show the heart rate of the purplette was off. A total mess it was but Hilary knew that babies had used to be born even back at that time when there had been nothing like those modern devices and equipment in this world. Taking Dew's head on her palm and holding her hand, the brunette spoke, "Dew, push."

"I…I can't!"

"You can, you will!" Hilary almost screamed, "Push, dear."

"Ahh!"

She huffed, panting. Her lungs were falling weak as they couldn't receive enough oxygen from the air. Yet, she clutched Hilary's hand, trying to give all the energy in her body, "Aaaah!"

Hilary shrilled as her wrist was in the tight grip of her sister. Nails dunked it; a bead of blood was visible there. Right then, the earsplitting screech of the purple-haired girl was superseded by another sharp cry, echoing in the labor room. The brunette put out a little bundle smeared with blood, under the hospital cloths of the purplette. With a certain scissor, she cut her umbilical cord, while shaking her with one hand to comfort her. No, she was Tyson Granger's daughter, crying at the top of her lungs and letting the world know about her existence, just telling Hilary, "I'm the champ! Look aunt, the champ has come to the world!"

"Hello sweetheart!" Hilary gently lifted her niece, "Aren't you the dragon-riding princess of Tyson Granger? Yes, you are!"

Cooing, she cleansed the little body carefully, revealing her bronze skin complexion. There were a few purple hairs, trying to cover her round head. Eyes were auburn just like her father's. Her skin was so soft and squishy that the brunette wanted to cuddle against her. However, wrapping her gently with a soft blue towel, Hilary turned her head to her sister. She was unconscious, all sweaty and shaky. Grabbing her stethoscope and sphygmomanometer, the brunette quickly checked the pulse, heartbeat, breath rate and the blood pressure of the purplette. Since she found them quite stable, she sighed in relief. Dew was just tired after fighting for a long time.

"Maybe…I should just let her sleep…" Huffing, she noticed that the earthquake stopped, causing no harm to anyone thankfully. A smile bloomed in her lips. Gently lifting the baby, she came out from the labor room. She could spot the navy-haired guy, strolling here and there restlessly. Again, Hilary's heart got filled with admiration for her friend. He could have gone out of the hospital compound for safety when the earthquake had occurred. But no, he hadn't. Why would he? His wife and daughter were more precious to him than his own life. Besides, he had much faith on Hilary's skills. Seeing the brunette with the little bundle of hope and happiness in her arms, he rushed towards them.

"Congratulations, Tyson!" She beamed, "For being the father for the second time and being the father of a princess for the first time. Here remains your barbie doll!"

With quivering hands, the navy-haired guy took his precious daughter in themselves, looking at her peaceful face. Extended auburn orbs were looking at his auburns; the little baby forgot to cry seeing her father. Tyson softly placed a kiss on her head, carefully so that his tears couldn't touch her cheeks.

"Thanks…Hilary…" He whispered, "I'll be indebted to you forever."

"No need," The brunette lightly punched his shoulders, "Just put a great party at Granger's dojo when you reach home with your wife and daughter."

"Well…." Tyson hurriedly asked, "How's Dew? Is…is she okay?"

"Yes yes, Dew-chan is perfect, she's resting inside," Hilary affirmed, "You can meet him if you want."

"Sure, sure!" Furiously nodding, the navy-haired guy was about to go in but before it, he turned his head behind, "Oh Hilary, Kai called me when you were in the labor room. He told you to call him once you get free."

"Oh…okay…" Nodding, the brunette washed her hands first. Putting off her gloves and over-garment, she switched on her phone and dialed Kai's number. After a few seconds, the phoenix-prince received it. With a worried tone, he asked, "Are you okay, Hilary?"

"Yes, I'm…" She sighed in relief, "I'm sorry, actually…"

"It's okay," He huffed, "How's Dew now? And Tyson's daughter?"

"They all are okay, dear hubby," Hilary smiled, "What about our prince and princess though?"

"Princess is perfectly sleeping," Kai informed, "But when the earthquake took place, prince woke up and started searching for the queen."

"Oh my!" Hilary faked her exclamation, "Did he complain to the king when he didn't find the queen?"

"He was angry and in tears," Her husband smirked, "For coaxing him, the king told him that the queen had gone to a war to save the queen and princess of another kingdom."

"Tell him that the queen has successfully won the war," The brunette spoke, "Now, she's returning to her prince soon."

"As your wish, your Majesty." Kai narrowed his eyes.

"Now, tell me, my king," Hilary cocked a brow, "Was only the prince tensed? Or…someone else too?"

"Hn." The dual-haired guy didn't answer, flushing a bit. Damn, not always he himself was Sherlock Homes!

"Okay, I'll know it later," Hilary winked, "Bye."

"Wait, Hils."

"Huh?" She frowned.

"You're a real queen," Kai took a sharp breath, "I'm proud of you, my wife."

"When a suitable king like you is beside her, Hilary Tachibana Hiwatari has to be a queen, your Majesty," Hilary bit her lips to control her tears, "Thanks a lot for your support, Kai. But…I have a demand too! As a reward, you have to give a peck on my forehead when I reach home."

"More than that." Kai grinned, "Talk to you soon."

"Bye." Smiling with tears in her eyes, she cut the call and headed to her car. She had performed the responsibilities of a mother, a wife, a sister, a doctor, at last but not at least- a woman, in whom, there's always a queen. She knew that this was not the end. In future, she'd have to work more. But she didn't mind; she also knew that she could carry out every job successfully, no matter how many obstacles she would have to face later on.

Because she was a queen, along with a supportive, caring, encouraging and responsible king by her side always. For proving it, neither she did have to have a crown, nor did she need to be seated on a throne.

Yes yes! A woman can always be queen even if she's not married to a king or something (Like a man can be king not even by ruling a kingdom). The proper empowerment of women doesn't always lie in instituting her rights in the society. When women stand up, perform their responsibilities with dedication and integrity, face the challenges with bravery and don't give up till the end, they are truly empowered. I hope you all will agree with me. (Damn dear people, whenever I feel that I need to take a break from KaiHil, you don't let me T_T *No, I don't need any break xD*)

Dear Tatu, once again, Di is extremely sorry for being late. But I hope you'll like it. Once again, wish you a very very belated...yet, very very happy birthday, my dear *Hugs you* :'D :'D

Dear readers. Do read and review. Pardon all the grammatical and spelling errors. Take care and stay safe. Umm...if fate permits, you may get to read a TyHil two-shot today "I don't have to have you" ;). So, stay tuned for that too ;D
