The sky was black and threatening as the young woman stepped outside, she looked up and frowned as she watched the storm clouds. "Shit I'm already late, "she mutters as she clutches her purse as she walks towards her car, she stops and turns as she swears she hears footsteps. Hearing nothing she continues to her car, she mumbles curses as she attempts to grab the keys from the bottom of her bag, "come on!" she shouts as she feels raindrops. "Finally," she snaps as she unlocks the door and slides in as the rain begins to pour. She struggles to see as she pulls out of the strip club and onto the deserted road, "damn it," she mumbles as she struggles to see out of the windshield as the rain continues to pour. She breathes a sign of relief as she finally makes it home, she runs inside before setting her keys down on her desk, she takes off her shoes and shirt as she tosses them to the floor, before she makes her way to the bathroom; she starts the water, waiting for it to be warm before stepping in. She hums softly as she grabs her shampoo, she doesn't see the shadow dash across the wall as she rinses. She turns on her side lamp as she makes her way to her bedroom, she drops the towel as she grabs her lotion, she turns towards her open door in confusion as she feels like someone is watching her, and she shrugs as she continues to apply her lotion. She jumps when a clap of thunder booms in the night sky, "Jesus," she mumbles as she sets the lotion down, she's just about to go to bed when a pair of arms wrap around her, she screams as she turns to see her boyfriend. "You scared me," she tells him as she pulls him close.
"Sorry," he smirks as he stands up.
"You're overly dressed," the woman tells him as she does a little dance for him.
He stares at her naked body in silence a look she can't place on his face.
"Something wrong?" she finally asks him.
The man smirks as he crawls towards her, she backs up in fear as the look in his eyes, she screams in terror as he strikes.
"Babe?!" a tall red head in a cop uniform calls up the stairs to a bar named Shorty's.
"Coming," a young woman with hair for days calls back as she descends the stairs with another box.
"Do you need any more help?" the red head asks.
"Guys lets go," another woman wearing tight leather pants, and crop top and covered in glitter snaps as she pokes her head into the bar.
"Coming Wynonna," the girl on the stairs says.
"God Waverly you have too much shit," Wynonna snaps as she slams the hatchback to her truck shut.
Waverly pouts as she looks towards the red head, who smiles.
"Don't listen to her baby," she tells her as she kisses her forehead.
"Whipped," Wynonna scoffs as she rolls her eyes as the two starts making out against the truck. "Nicole if you can avert your attention away from my baby sister for a sec," she asks the red head who turns towards her, "Bobo is back in town," she mumbles.
"What?!" Nicole snaps as she pulls away from her girlfriend to give Wynonna her full attention.
"I saw him last night at Pussy Willow while I was performing," she mumbles as she looks away.
"Was Doc with him?" Waverly asks as she wraps an arm around her older sister's shoulders.
"He's still avoiding me," she snaps as she pulls away and gets into the truck, "I'll meet you at Nic's."
Waverly frowns as she watches her speed off.
"She will be okay," Nicole assures her as she rubs her lower back.
"They just got divorced, she shouldn't be alone."
"She's got us sweetie and Mercedes just moved back," Nicole tells her as she opens the passenger door to her squad car.
"Right," Waverly ponders as she slides in.
Nicole smiles as she closes it and heads off in the direction of her house.
Wynonna is leaning against her truck, when the squad car pulls into the driveway, of the two story house. "Bout time you two showed up," she growls as she opens the hatchback.
"Sorry," her sister mumbles as she grabs some boxes and heads inside.
Nicole signs as she collapses on the couch next to her girlfriend who lays her head on her shoulder.
"I'm so sore," Waverly complains as Wynonna enters holding a beer.
"Don't you have to work?" Nicole asks her as she rolls her eyes.
"I have to be drunk to work at that shithole," she snaps back as she takes a long swig.
"I wish you would just quit," Waverly frowns at her sister as she flicks a piece of glitter off her shoulder.
"Don't start Waves," she snaps as she slams the empty beer bottle down on the table before storming out.
"Wynonna!" the younger sister screams as she chases after her.
"Waves I need the money okay, Doc isn't paying me spousal support."
"I know and I'm sorry, but the Pussy Willow?" Waverly pouts.
"Its good money," Wynonna argues, "I gotta go, you know Rosita gets pissed if I'm late."
"You okay?" Nicole asks her girlfriend as she reenters the house.
Waverly throws herself into her arms as she cries silently, "I just worry about her."
"I know you do baby," the red head comforts her as she runs soothing circles on her lower back. "How about I make us some dinner? And you pick out a movie?"
Waverly smiles as Nicole kisses her forehead before walking off towards the kitchen. Waverly went to sit back on the couch as she turns on the TV and scrolls through the Netflix Que.
"So is Rosita letting you do inventory now?" Nicole asks as her and Waverly lay cuddled under a blanket by the fire.
"Sometimes, she still compares me to Wynonna though," she answers with a small pout.
"I'm sorry babe, she is running two different businesses, and Wynonna does," Nicole trails off when she sees the hurt on her girls' face.
"Doc really hurt her and this divorce is killing her! They were together for eight years!" Waverly yells before she signs, I'm sorry."
"All good babe."
"Just hate the thought of my older sister working in a strip club."
"And I'm sure she hates you working at Shorty's, but it's a job," Nicole replies as she squeezes her waist.
"She's never said anything?" Waverly says confused as her face scrunches up.
"Okay maybe I do, but still," Nicole smiles.
"It's only till I finish school," she assures her as she kisses her hand.
"I know," Nicole gently pushes Waverly off her as she stands up, "How about I run us a bath?"
"Perfect," Waverly smiles as she takes the offered hand as she follows her upstairs.
The two women smile as they dry each other off, before crawling into bed, not even bothering with clothes.
It was passing two in the morning when Nicole's phone rang, startling both women awake.
"Haught," she answers as she sits up. "Yes sir I'll be right there," she says as she throws the blankets off.
"What's going on?" Waverly asks her voice full of sleep as she turns on her bedside lamp.
"There was a body found outside of Shorty's," she tells her as she gets dressed.
"Oh my God," Waverly exclaims as she sits up.
"I have to go be back later," Nicole tells her as she grabs her gun, she kisses her cheek before walking off, and leaving her girlfriend wondering if it was someone she knew.
Nicole's mouth drops open as she arrives at the scene to find all of Purgatory's sheriff department, as well as a man she's never seen before; she ducks under the caution tape as she approaches her boss, "Sheriff, what's going on?"
"The murder victim was killed the exact way those girls were in Prescott Falls," he whispers as the man Nicole didn't recognize approaches.
"Special agent Xavier Dolls of the FBI," he says as he holds out his hand.
The FBI is involved?" Nicole asks as she takes it.
"It looks like the serial killer has arrived in Purgatory, he tells her," before walking off.
"Oh my God," Nicole gasps.
