The surgery was a success, but Lea had to go on an early maternity leave, which drove her crazy. But it was all worth it, when their beautiful teeny blue eyed baby girl arrived, which they name Madeline Stephanie or Maddie for short. They decided on the name in honor of Glassman's daughter, and she was also born on Shaun's brothers' birthday.
It was 9 months later, when Shaun and Lea were preparing dinner, as , when he suggested to take another camping trip.
"But, Shauny, but about Maddie…oh don't tell me my parents will watch her?" she said as she set up the table, while checking on Maddie, who was in the playpen.
"No, we will take her with us. It will be a little family vacation" he said as he stirred the pasta.
"But, she's only 9 months and she won't remember the trip…and bugs."
He looks up at her, "if you don't want to go camping, you can just say no, Lea."
She rolled her eyes, "I'm not saying that, Shaun."
"Then what are you saying, Lea?" he said as he got a bit angry
"I am saying, yes camping is great, but not for a baby. We can take her to the park and have a picnic."
"I guess, we can like usual. You're the mother, so you're the boss" he muttered
"I am not the boss, were in this equal relationship… and yes I'm her mother and you're her father. I am just suggesting a park will be better for right now."
Shaun brought over the plates of food, "ok, but is it cause of our last camping trip?"
She looked at him and began tearing up, "I can't believe you would bring that up" she said as she grabbed her coat and bag.
He grabbed her arm, "Lea, wait I'm sorry. Please stay for dinner"
She pulls away and heads out the door, without looking back, but not knowing where to go, but back to work.
An hour later, at work, she kept getting text messages and calls from Shaun, but didn't answer them. As she was working, she heard something in the hallway and went to check it out.
"Hello, is somebody, there?" she looks out the door and down the hall and sees a tall person, dressed in black, "excuse me, can I help you?"
She sees a gun and the next thing she is shot and see blood on her shirt, as she collapses on the ground, and drags her body to her office to grab her phone and call for help. She grabs her phone and calls for Shaun, but everything goes black.
Back at their apartment, Shaun couldn't even eat and decided to put away the food. He begins calling and texting Lea, but no response.
He looks at Maddie, who is a mini version of Lea, "I love your mommy, but she is very headstrong." And puts her to bed and heads to bed too.
It was 10:30, when he heard his phone ring and it was Lea, "Hello…" but he didn't hear anything but silence, and something drop, "hello, Lea?"
The line went dead and he knew something was up, and decided to go to see her. He was going to call Glassman to stay with Maddie, but she was awake, "want to go see mommy?"
Maddie coos as he gets her ready and makes sure she is warm.
He arrives at the hospital and puts Maddie in her stroller and walks to her office. As he is walking down the hallway, he notices blood stain on the floor leading to Lea's office, "Lea?" he yells as he reaches her office door, "Lea!" and turns Maddie's stroller the other way, so she won't see.
He crouches down and feels a pulse, and takes off his jacket and puts pressure on her wound and calls for help. But no one was around and so he gets his phone out and calls Glassman, Claire, Park and Dr. Lim for help.
He hangs up and sees Lea is coming in and out of conscious, "Lea, its me Shaun. Baby, come on stay with me!" But she blacks out again.
