It was way too early in the morning to deal with anything. Being awake was not something the blond wanted to be at the moment. Kenma was grumpy and irritated when he woke up to the texts in their group chat going off. He rarely kept his notifications on unless they were from Akaashi since he was the only one who didn't spam the chat with random messages and memes.
Kenma, still half asleep, felt around for his phone and unlocked it to see what all the fuss was about.

The morning only got worse from there.
Kenma was forced up.
He quickly got dressed for the volleyball training camp. Five days of Hell is usually what Kenma liked to call it. Five days of practice games with teams and people Kenma didn't recognize or want to be around. His own team was aggravating most of the time, let alone someone else's.
Kuroo was the only reason he went and since he had finally graduated this year Kenma quite honestly thought he would be able to get out of going if he played his cards right.
Instead, he found himself grabbing the bag he packed the night before and looking around the messy room to make sure he had everything he needed with him, just in case things didn't go his way and he had to actually go to summer camp.
His phone buzzed and he quickly made his way outside not bothering with saying bye to anyone as he let the door slam behind him. Kenma rushed out to his boyfriend's car.
"Good morning, Kitten," Akaashi greeted him.
Kenma put his bag in the backseat before taking a seat up front in the passenger seat.
"Morning Keiji," Kenma spoke softly. He was still a bit tired, he wasn't much of a morning person unless he never slept and just stayed up the whole night instead.
The ride was left in a comfortable silence until they picked up their other boyfriend.
Bokuto was sometimes a bit much to deal with in the mornings and as much as Kenma loved the guy there was no amount of caffeine that could make him bearable this early in the morning.
"I can't believe Kuroo is sick. That's going to suck for this week!" Bokuto exclaimed as he climbed into the backseat.
"I'm sure he'll be fine skipping this once," Akaashi tried.
"Yeah, but who else is going to tell me to shut up when I'm not even saying anything?!" Bokuto questioned.
"I'm sure that can be arranged, Kou," Akaashi reassured him.
Kenma smiled a bit at the comment.
The rest of the ride was Akaashi trying to reassure Bokuto that everything would be fine. If Kuroo had to stay home, it wasn't a big deal. He could always go next year if he wanted.
Kenma just tried to go back to sleep. Closing his eyes and listening to the sounds of his boyfriends' voices.
It wasn't until he saw the familiar house come into view that he realized sleep wasn't going to happen and that he had to get out.
They let themselves in using the key they were each given for emergencies or when Kuroo didn't want to answer the door while his parents weren't home.
Kuroo was in the living room and Kenma was about to hit the man wrapped in three blankets and still somehow cold in June. He was being annoying, naturally.
Akaashi walked past the living room and down the hall most likely going into full mother mode as Kenma took a seat on the floor and turned on his game.
"Just admit you're sick," Kenma muttered. He didn't bother looking up from his game to know the face Kuroo was giving him.
"I am just a little cold," Kuroo murmured. His voice was deeper than usual, it almost sounded as if he just woke up.
Akaashi walked back into the room along with a mug of tea and a few supplies. Kenma always found it a bit amusing that the youngest of the relationship was somehow the most responsible and more times the one everyone listened to.
Even Kenma found himself not arguing against their Keiji.
Akaashi was usually right anyway.
"Okay, your mom said that she won't be back until next week, but there is some medicine in the bathroom that might help you a little bit," Akaashi explained.
Kenma didn't even question when Akaashi called Kuroo's mother and instead kept playing his game.
Akaashi set the thermometer in Kuroo's mouth and they waited a while until the thing beeped. Kenma then watched as the younger man read over the back of the medication bottle and handed Kuroo two pills.
"We could always hide him in the back of the bus with lots of blankets and then when he feels better he could just—" Bokuto was cut off.
Akaashi shook his head.
"I agree with Bo," Kuroo muttered.
Kenma groaned. "I say we just cancel. I mean you're a baby when you're sick. You won't take care of yourself on your own."
Kuroo was always the one to go out of his way to help the others when they were sick. When it came to him being sick it was almost like pulling teeth to get him to rest. It made total sense for them to stay and watch over him. Plus it got out of going to summer camp.
That's why it was so confusing when Kenma found himself in a parking lot with his boyfriends. Kenma didn't know how his plan had failed this badly, he was so close to staying at home.
"Okay, text me when you guys arrive so I know you're okay," Akaashi told them. Kenma wasn't sure if Bokuto heard him though.
Kenma felt his hands get sweaty at the thought of actually having to go on the trip. Even with all the group activities the trip offered, he still felt anxious about being alone with his own team. He was anxious at the thought of the new first-years and even some of the familiar faces he'd no doubt see.
He wouldn't have Kuroo to stop him from kicking Lev for being Lev.
However, he couldn't find himself to let Bokuto go on his own. The pure and hope-filled grin he had on his face when Kenma agreed was too much to break. He just couldn't do it, so he said he'd go. Kenma didn't want to think that without Akaashi going, who knew what Bokuto would get himself into.
Kenma took a deep breath and was suddenly very grateful for the anxiety meds he made sure to pack if he needed them.
Looking over to his boyfriends he rolled his eyes at Kuroo, wrapped in two blankets and still determined to go along to drop them off.
"Idiot," Kenma muttered.
Kuroo faked a dramatic gasp before trying to hug him. "Love you more, Kitten!"
"Don't get your germs on me, Asshat."
Ignoring Kuroo's attempts at a hug, Kenma hugged his other boyfriend and gave him a quick kiss. "Don't get sick. Love you Keiji," he muttered softly.
It took Kenma several failed attempts before he finally got used to showing affection to his significant others.
He nodded. "I'll be okay. Love you too, Kenma." Akaashi gave him a smile at the show of affection.
Kenma turned and before he could escape he forced himself onto one of the busses. It wasn't going to be as bad as his anxiety wanted him to think, he knew it never was that bad.
Kuroo sighed deeply as he tried not to act as sick as he felt. "I feel bad he has to go without us," he muttered to Akaashi.
Bokuto, who then realized he also had to get on the bus, started to run after Kenma after he said his goodbyes to his other boyfriends. "Don't worry we will be totally fine!" He yelled to them before he joined Kenma.
"It's only five days," Akaashi tried to reassure himself.
"Yeah, I'm sure it will be fine," Kuroo agreed, not fully sure of his own words. He slipped his hand into Akaashi's and they walked back to the car.
—
On the bus ride there, Kenma busied himself with his game as Bokuto sat beside him.
Bokuto watched the younger pass each level, every once in while resting his head on Kenma's shoulder. Kenma had grown somewhat used to how openly affectionate Bokuto was.
At the beginning of their relationship, Kenma swore it was going to drive him crazy how much the owl man needed to be touching someone at all times it seemed, however, when he finally told Bokuto he didn't like being touched or hugged all that much he backed off and unless Kenma started the interaction he tried to keep his distance.
Now, Kenma was grateful for the small touches Bokuto offered. His head on Kenma's shoulder or the times their thighs touched. It all grounded and brought a sense of comfort while Kenma escaped to the place where his video game took him.
No one seemed to question them either.
Another thing Kenma was grateful for. No one knew all four of them were dating. It wasn't exactly a secret, however, it also wasn't exactly something the four liked to explain. So they kept it to themselves and let people come up with whatever they wanted.
Most seemed to think Bokuto and Akaashi were dating and that Kenma and Kuroo had something going on; hell even their families thought that. Bokuto's family was the only one that knew about the four of them and that was only because of bad scheduling with one of their sleepovers. Luckily they were only caught cuddling. It would have been much worse if they had arrived a half-hour earlier.
Kenma still didn't care to explain that he had three boyfriends. People didn't always understand—he didn't even understand fully how they managed to all fit together like missing puzzle pieces, yet, it surprisingly was an effortless change.
Bokuto easily fell into conversation with one of his teammates though Kenma wasn't sure which it was. One of the better parts of taking a bus with Fukurodani was that Kenma wasn't pressured to talk to anyone—Lev not being on the bus was also a bonus.
"And then the alien attaches itself to the car and—BOOM!" Bokuto exclaimed to one of his teammates. His voice was laced with excitement and laughter.
Kenma always liked to watch how easily Bokuto could make someone laugh or was able to ease any awkward silence.
His eyes would quite literally get stars in them as he talked about something that excited him, his hands would rush every which way as he spoke in a slightly louder voice.
Kenma finished his level and dared a look around the bus. Everyone seemed to be in their own worlds as they waited to get to the destination.
Bokuto turned back to Kenma, his story now over as he took notice of the blond that was looking up from his game.
"We are going to be okay this week. I'll make sure you don't get overwhelmed and you make sure I don't do something dumb," Bokuto muttered. His voice was much softer than it was a few moments ago—something usually reserved for Kenma. When the blond commented about what inside voices were.
"You're a full-time job Koutarou," Kenma said bluntly. He turned away from the golden eyes and watched out the window for a moment. "However, I wouldn't want you any other way."
A slight gasp left the taller man's mouth as he nearly leaped closer to Kenma. The action would have been dramatic and a sight for all attention if it weren't from Fukurodani's ace; the team was simply used to his loud and affectionate ways.
"Must you do that every time I say something sappy?" Kenma questioned not really minding.
Bokuto nodded on Kenma's shoulder.
The blond groaned but didn't pull away. He turned back to his game pulling his legs up onto the seat in a cross-legged manner.
It didn't take long for Bokuto to fall asleep on Kenma's shoulder as he watched him play.
More times than not the two were most likely to stay up playing video games into the early morning when they were together. Bokuto even was getting better at a handful of games Kenma showed him.
The peaceful moment of normalcy didn't last as long as Kenma might have hoped though. The soft snores that escaped Bokuto's lips and the weight of his warm body resting against Kenma like a weighted blanket; all felt too comfortable to mess with.
He watched as the bus soon came to a stop. The parking lot was practically filled with other teams all there for a week of training.
Kenma watched a few people get off the bus as he reluctantly woke his boyfriend who was nearly on his lap at this point.
"Koutarou," Kenma muttered with a nudge to his side.
Slowly his boyfriend started to wake up by completely wrapping his arms around Kenma's waist and nearly going right back to sleep.
"Kuroo has no right telling me that I'm difficult to wake up," Kenma murmured softly to himself. He gave Bokuto another nudge, this time waking the ace. Bokuto looked around as if he forgot where he was until his eyes landed back on his boyfriend.
"Are we here?" His voice was so optimistic Kenma bit back the groan that threatened to escape when he thought about it.
Before Kenma could answer, one of Bokuto's teammates nearly tripped as their ace stretched and nearly tripped two other people trying to walk past their seat.
"Dude," the person laughed as he caught himself on one of the other seats.
Bokuto looked up and quickly moved his leg out of the way. "Sorry, Komi." His teammate simply laughed it off as he walked past.
Bokuto turned back to Kenma, the bus nearly empty now as they walked out to greet friends from other teams.
Kenma knew it was going to be a long week. The thought of having to walk over to his own team and deal with them alone wasn't at the top of his list of things he wanted to do.
Bokuto took his hand and brought it to his lips for a soft kiss. Kenma turned his attention back to his boyfriend.
"It's gonna be okay," Bokuto reassured him. "We only have a few hours to get a schedule and stuff then we will meet up for dinner but before that, I will help you find Nekoma."
Kenma only nodded. Sometimes it was shocking to see that the same person who could get distracted by just about anything, could also be observant as well.
Kenma followed behind Bokuto who nearly tripped getting out of the bus with both of their duffel bags on each side of him.
"Don't laugh, I nearly died!" Bokuto gasped.
Kenma chuckled a bit at the dramatics. "Unless you're a ghost now, I think you're fine."
They found Nekoma quicker than Kenma wanted. He tried not to overthink things. He knew it wasn't going to be as bad as his mind wanted him to think. He would be fine.
However, when he took his bag from Bokuto and his boyfriend started walking off was when the anxiety started to swell up again.
Bokuto turned and gave him a quick thumbs-up with the goofy grin that got Kenma here in the first place.
Kenma turned away before he lost sight of his own team. His eyes landed on the familiar red jackets and he walked over.
Yaku greeted him like the team mother-type he was. Kenma never noticed until Kuroo had pointed out how each team seemed to have a 'mother' of their group. Yaku took the place for Nekoma. Karasuno had Sugawara. Fukurodani had Akaashi to take care of them. And most ironically Aoba Johsai had Iwaizumi.
Kenma didn't pay much attention as he followed his team inside one of the buildings. He simply just followed along to where his team would be setting their things and then followed his team again as they walked to the part of the gym they would be working at.
It was rather tempting to fake a stomach ache and sit out practice and play his game for the few hours he had to wait until he was reunited with his boyfriend at dinner.
However, he was handed a red t-shirt with his number on it and told to wait for their coach to arrive.
—
Practice was awful.
Kenma's muscles felt like jello as he walked out of the gym. He wanted to pass out onto the grass and sleep the next five days away, unbothered by any more physical effort.
Yaku walked over to him offering a bottle of water with a cheerful attitude that made him irritated.
"I just wanted to say that I'm glad you made it this year. I know Kuroo isn't feeling well and he's the reason you usually show up here—I'm just glad to see you," Yaku said nonchalantly.
Kenma kept his face neutral as he looked at the grass as if it were the most interesting thing in existence. "If Kuroo told you to check up on me, I am fine. I can handle myself." Kenma held onto his Switch as if just the weight of it in his hand would help ground him.
Yaku shook his head. "He didn't—well he said about keeping Lev distracted but other than that—I just know it can be overwhelming here sometimes."
The sun was starting to set and Kenma was actually hopeful about going to sleep at some point soon. He could just grab a quick dinner and then sleep.
Lev walked over as if trying to test his luck. "Yaku I—uh was helping clean up and Yamamoto is stuck in the net..."
Yaku blinked as if to ask then stopped himself.
Sometimes it was better not knowing.
"Did you get a coach? Is he still stuck?!" Yaku asked in panicked mother mode.
Lev stepped back for a moment before nodding slowly. "Coach left already and we were cleaning up then he was dared—"
While Yaku spoke and definitely didn't yell at the team for their dares, Kenma took the moment to make his way to the cafeteria with the promise of cake—and maybe some food too.
It was like walking into a busy mall at rush hour and with way too many teenagers in such a closed space.
Kenma walked into the building ignoring the voice telling him to run back out the door. He felt as if everyone was looking at him. In reality, he knew that was just his anxiety, however, that didn't seem like very helpful information at the moment. It was much easier to believe the lie his anxiety whispered to him.
As he walked farther into the building trying his best to hide in his clothes the best he could as he looked around daring to look up for the familiar black and white hair that seemed to poke in any direction it felt like and even deflated completely when the tall man was sad.
Kenma had no luck and instead nearly fell as a guy shorter than him rushed past as if he had just shotgunned multiple energy drinks. His appearance was followed by a few shouts in the boy's direction.
"Noya! No running in the cafeteria!" The voice screamed after him followed by an exasperated sigh. "Good grief."
Kenma balanced himself and just as he looked up a familiar middle blocker was waving at him. The bright orange hair that matched parts of his practice shirt made Kenma feel less overwhelmed.
Hinata was his friend.
"Hey, Kenma! You okay?" He questioned. "Tanaka wanted to race Noya to the cafeteria, however, Tanaka ended up tripping and Noya hasn't noticed yet."
Kenma nodded to the orange-haired boy's explanation. "Is he okay?"
Hinata figured he was talking about Tanaka and not the libero who was pushing his way in line while a silver-haired guy and a guy with his hair pulled back in a bun tried to stop him.
"Yeah, Daichi tripped him," Hinata said nonchalantly. "He said something about no running where there is food and Tanaka didn't listen so just as they took off he tripped him."
For a moment Kenma wondered if the Karasuno team was okay or if they just simply ran off chaos. They all seemed so determined, even if there were many chaotic moments in every team they definitely took the prize.
Before Hinata could tell him something else worrisome about his team Kenma heard another loud shout enter the building.
"Tsuki-boo!" Bokuto walked in and greeted the blond from Karasuno—much to Tsukishima's protests. Yamaguchi however nudged the blond who then let out a sigh before he finally spoke.
"Hi."
Bokuto got in line with them as he talked animatedly to Tsukishima who looked as if he wanted to ignore anyone and everyone that wasn't the green-haired guy next to him.
"You there?" Hinata asked.
Kenma turned back to the orange-haired boy. "Sorry, what did you say?" He questioned softly.
"Do you want to sit with us?" Hinata offered.
Kenma looked over to Bokuto before nodding. Instead of getting in line Kenma took a seat at a big table. He knew Bokuto would get him a plate of something so he pulled out his game and distracted himself.
The loud voices of everyone catching up with one another were aggravating, to say the least. It was probably loud enough for Kenma to scream and it would fall into silence.
Bokuto and a few people from the Karasuno team joined them at the table.
As Kenma predicted Bokuto pushed a plate towards him. "Here ya go Kitte—Kenma."
Their shoulders touching the best they could given the height difference as Kenma reluctantly put his game down. "Nice save," he muttered jokingly.
"It's too weird to call you by your actual name," Bokuto spoke with a mouth full of food.
"It's fine Kou. Thanks for getting me dinner," Kenma looked to the plate he knew he would only finish half of.
Bokuto's face brightened a bit as he nodded. "Of course!"
Kenma was able to eat as he listened to Hinata talk about his summer so far. It was comforting not to be expected to say much as the tangerine boy held the conversation without missing a beat.
Yaku was the first to take notice of the relationship. When he was finished getting his teammate out of a volleyball net and then helping replace the damaged net he was finally able to sit down.
After practice, his legs ached and even with his usual training practices he also felt pushed a bit harder at camp.
Dinner was music to his ears as he sat with most of his team. A few broke off to sit with their friends from other teams as they caught up with one another.
Yaku looked around making sure everyone from Nekoma showed up. Kenma didn't have the best track record and was one who usually skipped out on his meals, more times than not Yaku had to watch Kuroo drag him to the table.
Instead, what he saw was surprisingly sweet? He wasn't sure what to think of it. Kenma was at a table with some of the Karasuno people—that wasn't the weird part. The weird part was that he had something close to a smile on his face.
Bokuto leaned over the table talking about something clearly very exciting as Kenma pushed him back into his seat. Kenma rolled his eyes and took a sip of his drink and his neutral face was back up again.
Yaku watched them as he ate and kept conversation with Lev and Kai who joined him at his own table.
Kenma pushed his plate over to Bokuto who without question, finished the remaining food.
Yaku didn't know why he was watching them. Sure he had a few texts from Kuroo telling him to make sure Kenma ate and didn't run off but they both knew Yaku couldn't make the blond-haired guy do anything.
When Yaku looked up again he saw Kenma playing his game and the ace of Fukurodani resting his head momentarily on Kenma's shoulder.
Yaku's eyes widened before he caught himself. The only thought that ran in his mind was how Bokuto wasn't dead yet. How the fuck did he not die?!
The small touches and what looked to be void of complaints from Kenma were a bit shocking, to say the least. Yaku knew Bokuto was good friends with Kuroo but he didn't think Kenma was also friends with him.
Yaku turned back to his own table feeling a bit creepy for watching them for so long. Bokuto seemed like a touchy person, but what made him pause was that Kenma didn't like being touched by other people. He would slap away Kuroo most of the time.
"Interesting," Yaku muttered.
Lev looked up. "Huh?"
"Nothing."
—
The next questioning incident happened the next night.
Kenma had just finished his shower and was feeling a lot better, not smelling all sweaty from practice was a much-needed improvement.
He had his Nekoma sweatpants tucked into his socks and an oversized t-shirt that was probably Kuroo's or Bokuto's, judging by the way it fell off his shoulders. He was walking back to the room he and his teammates were assigned to when he saw his boyfriend on the way to the showers.
They were the only ones in sight down the hall. The late hour of the night probably helped with that. Most people were already in bed or trying not to get caught talking after curfew.
Bokuto smiled, tiredness finally taking its toll on him. His slouched posture and sleepy eyes made Kenma want to follow him back to the showers to make sure he wouldn't fall asleep in there.
"Sleepy?" Kenma asked.
"I lost count of the times I ran up the hill," he muttered. "I am dying, Kenma—dying," Bokuto slouched forward and in a dramatic movement leaned on Kenma.
The blond pushed him off. "You're too heavy."
Bokuto frowned. "I am dying and you don't even care."
Kenma rolled his eyes. "You're not dying—though you do need a shower, Kou."
Bokuto smirked and wrapped Kenma in his arms. "No idea what you mean. I smell perfectly fine."
Kenma scoffed. "You smell like the time Kuroo almost burnt his house down while cooking lava cake for us without supervision."
Bokuto didn't let go, he pulled Kenma up off of the floor, Kenma let his legs wrap around the taller's waist. "That was pretty bad," Bokuto agreed.
Kenma nodded.
They stayed like that for a moment, enjoying the embrace of the other. It was rare to be able to have peace at volleyball camp. Kenma didn't even really care that his boyfriend smelled, he was just content at that moment.
Bokuto finally set him down. Kenma's hair was still wet from his shower as Bokuto tucked some behind his ear before he leaned down and kissed him on his forehead softly.
Kenma rolled his eyes. He tugged Bokuto down to his level, firmly holding onto his t-shirt. "Seriously?" Kenma asked.
Bokuto leaned in and kissed him again, this time their lips met as Kenma held onto his shirt. The anxiety and worry seemed to melt away for the moment. Kenma easily took control over the kiss, his tongue explored the familiar mouth.
Bokuto hummed in contentment when Kenma bit his lip when he pulled back. He looked up at his boyfriend who now had a dusting of blush over his cheeks. "Sweet dreams, Kou."
It took Bokuto a moment to regain his senses again before he nodded. "You too, Kitten."
Kenma turned and walked off to his room while Bokuto remembered he was going to shower and headed off to the bathrooms.
Lev wasn't sure why he had to get a shower at the time he did, all he knew was that he probably shouldn't have seen what he just did.
Nope.
Kenma was going to kill him.
He thought for a moment that his funeral would be a closed casket if Kenma had anything to do with it.
When the kissing couple broke apart Lev ducked back into the bathroom out of panic. He didn't know what else to do. He was completely in his own head trying not to think about what he just saw all the while thinking about what in the hell he just saw. Kenma was kissing Bokuto! He couldn't just unsee that.
"You did not see anything. You were here the whole time," he told himself even if his voice wasn't very convincing.
Just then the door opened and Bokuto walked past him. Lev nearly jumped as high as Hinata when he saw the man. However, Bokuto didn't seem to notice as he made his way over to the showers with a smile. Lev wondered if Kenma was the reason for the smile.
Before he could panic any farther Lev rushed out of the bathroom nearly tripping on gravity as he ran down the hall.
He had to tell Yaku about this.
—
In the morning, Lev woke up Yaku wasting no time in telling him how his life was in danger. It was rather shocking something didn't happen to him in the middle of the night. Though if he thought about it that must of meant Kenma didn't see him.
"My life is in danger, get up."
"It is now," Yaku hit him. "Why the hell did you wake me so early?"
Lev hushed him. "I need to tell you something but—" he looked around the room. Nekoma was still sleeping soundly. "—not here."
Yaku sighed, however, he got up and dressed for the new day.
They walked outside.
The sun was just barely starting to show and the chilly morning air leaving no guess that it was going to be a brutally hot afternoon.
"What is it, why is your life in danger?" Yaku asked with a yawn.
The morning air was only making him cranky at the moment. He was sleeping peacefully before he was rudely shaken awake. However, he decided to humor Lev and see if it was something stupid or not. Most of the time with his teammates he never knew which way it would go.
"I saw Kenma kiss someone," Lev blurted out.
Yaku was awake now.
"You saw what?!"
Lev looked around as if anyone else would be dumb enough to be awake so early with the training they had scheduled for the day.
"I was coming out from the shower and I stopped when I heard talking—so I was like this seems private I'll just wait around the corner and then pretend I heard nothing," Lev spoke in a hushed tone that made Yaku want to hit him again.
"And?" Yaku questioned impatiently.
"And so after a moment, I thought they were done so I peeked and—I am telling you there was tongue!" Lev whisper-yelled. "I'm pretty sure Kenma bit the guy's lip."
Yaku rolled his eyes. There was no way Kenma would kiss anyone, let alone someone who wasn't Kuroo. He thought about it for a moment. He never even saw Kenma kiss Kuroo.
"Lev, are you sure you saw Kenma?"
Lev made a sound that was a gasp but also somehow an exasperated sigh. "Clear as day with the socks over his pants that were wrapped around—" Lev covered his mouth. He didn't want to out them nor was it his secret to tell fully. He simply needed to get some of the information out. At least that was what he told himself.
Yaku only looked off in the distance trying to figure out how to process the information he was given. If it really was true who would it have been? The only other person Kenma was close with was Hinata and Yaku didn't think they were more than friends.
"You can't let him know that you know. It might not have been what you think. Maybe it was just bad lighting or something. You didn't see anything."
Lev nodded quickly getting the message. However, he knew what he saw and he had no idea what to do with the knowledge that was now burned into his brain.
"Plus as far as we know Kenma is single and technically an adult. He is free to kiss whoever he wants," Yaku added without much confidence.
In reality, he was already trying to figure out what was going on. He was oddly invested now. Yaku was going to get answers by the end of the day.
—
Kenma pulled the sleeves down farther on the hoodie he was wearing. One of the perks of having a massive hoodie collection—thanks to his boyfriends—was that he was never out of options.
The familiar smell of fabric softener that stayed powerful even after Kenma had shoved it into his bag made him feel much better. The small comfort helped Kenma get through the morning rush.
Akaashi's hoodies always fit him just a bit better and even if the sleeves hung over his hands he didn't look like he was going to disappear in it completely as he did with Bokuto's and Kuroo's
However, it was also one of Akaashi's more favored hoodies and it took little time for Fukurodani to notice as the boy joined their ace at the table. Bokuto ignored the questioning looks he got when he sat so close to Kenma and Kenma not leaving at the touch.
Truthfully Kenma was waiting for his meds to kick in and so far they had been doing a shit job at their work. He was one minor inconvenience away from having a panic attack. He felt like shit having to get up so early and he wanted nothing more than to be sleeping again.
"We could always go outside if it's too crowded in here," Bokuto suggested.
Kenma wanted to shake his head, he didn't want to keep his boyfriend from his friends just because of his own anxieties.
Bokuto noticed the slight hesitation and got to his feet. "Wanna go outside to eat?" He asked Kenma, drawing attention to himself instead.
Kenma got his breakfast and got up without a word.
Neither boy noticed the whispers of each of their teams asking what the hell was even happening at this point.
"Thank you," Kenma said softly as they made their way into the grass.
The sky was a bright vibrant blue and as much as Kenma preferred being inside, sitting outside in the soft grass and a summer breeze taking over his senses was kinda nice too. His anxiety was much more manageable now that he was away from the mass of people.
Bokuto smiled at him. Soft compared to the overly cheerful goofy grins the blond was used to seeing.
"Stop looking at me like that," Kenma murmured.
Bokuto only fell back onto the grass, his hand covering his eyes from the bright sun. "My apologies, your beauty was just too much."
Kenma chuckled a bit at the theatrics of his boyfriend. "Kou, get up and finish breakfast."
Bokuto sat up after a few moments he was back to sitting how he was before. His legs criss-crossed and for a moment Kenma was distracted by his boyfriend's thighs as he stared at the high knee pads the owl man insisted on wearing.
Kenma always loved hearing about the conspiracy theories of whether or not they were leggings or knee pads. Kuroo was the one who found out.
Akaashi and him were talking at practice one day and then Kuroo was stomping over to Bokuto determined for answers.
It was a total disaster.
Bokuto was clueless as to what was going on as Akaashi distracted him and Kuroo pulled his shorts up on the side to see if they were leggings or not.
Kenma who was just watching the whole thing, amusement in his eyes. "Koutarou, they want to know what's under your shorts."
"Don't word it that way Kenma!" Kuroo shouted.
Kenma was back to reality when he felt Bokuto tap him on the leg.
"What are you smiling at?"
Kenma took a bite of his food trying to eat something even if he wasn't all that hungry this early in the morning.
"Just the time Tetsurou and Keiji basically pantsed you at practice instead of asking you about your knee pads."
Koutarou chuckled. "I thought they were going to take my shorts and run away."
"To be fair Tetsurou probably would have."
Koutarou nodded. "Yeah, I could see it going either way. I just didn't think it would be such a demanding question. They are just clothes."
Kenma scoffed at how clueless Koutsrou was sometimes. "Because you have thick thighs, Kou. They are hypnotic."
"Wait—you think my thighs are nice?!"
Kenma facepalmed. Why did he have to mention anything? He didn't mean to say it, it just kinda happened. Koutarou was now turned completely facing him and watching his every action until he got his answer.
"Fine. Yes, Koutarou. You have beautiful thighs. It's not the first time I've told you that."
To be fair Koutarou was a bit distracted when Kenma first told him—they both were. However, Kenma wasn't usually the one to dish out compliments but rather keep his thoughts to himself most of the time.
Koutarou made a triumphant owl noise and the compliment seemed to go right to his ego. Kenma wanted to groan but seeing his boyfriend so happy over a little comment made him want to smile too.
By the time they walked back to the cafeteria most of the crowd was gone. They returned their trays and threw away any trash.
Everyone was wrapped up in their own conversations to take notice that Kenma had his hand wrapped around Koutarou's, pretty much the whole time.
—
It was much later in the day.
Bokuto was finishing up his game for the day when the all too familiar wave of emotions hit him after being yelled at.
It was his fault for missing the signal.
He was a failure.
He should have been paying attention.
His team seemed to notice the change in moods as they watched him slowly slip down the spiraling thoughts. Without Akaashi there to take charge and know exactly which mood swing was what, they looked helplessly at each other for a moment.
Bokuto took the time to sit under one of the tables by the end of the gym. His legs pulled up to his chest as he held them tightly wrapped around himself.
That was when the team knew it was going to be a little difficult to get him out of his mood. They couldn't just compliment his hair looking extra explosive or cool that day, it wouldn't fix his mood, it wouldn't help.
The managers looked at each other. "Should we call Akaashi?" Suzumeda asked.
The doors to the gym opened as the next teams entered a bit early. Fukurodani was half crouched down by their ace who refused to get out from under the table.
"You know the coach didn't mean it. You're the best ace we could ask for," Komi tried.
Nothing seemed to work. Their compliments and half-hearted: "Hey, hey, hey," did nothing. The managers talked with each other trying to figure out how to get him up when a guy from one of the other teams was walking over.
Ignoring the eyes on him he moved closer seeing his boyfriend, who was in complete emo mode as they usually called it.
Bokuto watched as Kenma sat under the table with him cross-legged as he looked Bokuto over for any physical injuries.
"Want to talk?" Kenma asked softly.
Bokuto shook his head. Thoughts of how he failed something so easily made the situation feel much more daunting than it should have. It was overwhelming to think about, yet it was the only thing on his mind.
They stayed like that for a while, most of their teammates watching them as if they were a new drama.
Kenma groaned.
He hated this place.
He looked over to Bokuto trying to think of what would help him.
"I'll do that cat dance if you get up," Kenma whispered.
It was embarrassing enough the first time he did the simple dance on a dare, yet all of his boyfriends would never let him forget it.
Bokuto looked up, the first sign Kenma broke the emo mode.
"Can I record it?"
"Will you get up?" Kenma deadpanned.
Bokuto nodded and as much as Kenma didn't want to admit he knew the damn dance he felt himself nod.
Bokuto grinned, forgetting he was under a table still, he jumped up and hit his head.
Kenma laughed. "Kou, be careful."
Bokuto had to meet with the medic before they were able to leave. Kenma stayed with him, skipping out on his own team's practice as he stood by Bokuto's side making sure he didn't slip back into emo mode again.
The medic gave him a lollipop.
"Come on, I think Kuroo packed cat ears in my bag," Bokuto added.
Kenma groaned. "Of course he did."
—
It was late and Kenma wasn't sure why but being outside at night was much better than any other time.
The chilly air made him thankful for his hoodie and Bokuto's warm hand in his own.
"It kinda sucks we all weren't able to come here this summer," Koutarou murmured. "I mean it's probably going to be a while until we're all free like this and it—"
Kenma gave his hand a comforting squeeze. "I know as much as I hate this place—it kinda sucks they didn't make it."
They walked around a bit like that in an almost comforting silence. Bokuto usually liked to point out whatever caught his attention.
It was nice.
Comforting not to be around a crowd for once that day.
Kenma didn't even want to go back.
"You know Kou, we could video call them," Kenma offered. They had few opportunities to be on their phones since they got to camp and Kenma knew Bokuto wanted to check in as much as he did.
He knew Kuroo was a bitch when he was sick. Even with Akaashi there, Kenma still felt bad he had to take care of the science nerd alone.
"Really?!" Bokuto pretty much yelled.
Kenma was used to loud bursts of words from him by now and just nodded as an answer instead of replying.
They ended up running up the hill most teams went to die—and sat at the top while Kenma got on his phone. He always had the best service out of his boyfriends and while in the middle of nowhere it was a time he was thankful he picked to spend the extra money on it.
Kenma chose to call Akaashi's phone knowing he would be less annoying to answer the phone.
"Akaaaaaashi!" Bokuto cheered once he saw his boyfriend's face on the screen.
Kenma simply waved.
After the long day, he didn't feel like talking all that much. He felt a bit better seeing Akaashi again though.
"Hello Bokuto-san. Hi Kenma."
In the background, there was a loud thud and then the sound of someone running towards the phone.
Kuroo appeared clearly out of breath from his cold. His hair was covered in bubbles and his towel was not doing a great job in his hand rather than around his waist.
"You're getting water on the floor," Akaashi groaned.
"But you're talking to Bo and Ken. I couldn't not just rush out here!"
Kenma rolled his eyes. "Put a towel on, dumbass."
Bokuto took the phone and grinned. "Akaashi move the camera a little to the left—no that is the opposite way—"
Akaashi shushed them both when they started chanting "nice cock" in Kronk's voice.
"Why are we dating them?" Kenma asked Akaashi.
"Don't answer that," Kuroo exclaimed quickly.
"Fine," Akaashi winked at Kenma.
He would tell him later.
"So how are you two holding up?" Akaashi questioned, changing the topic.
"Yeah, what did you guys do today?" Kuroo asked.
Kenma shrugged and let Bokuto fill them in on the practice games so far. He told them about a few ideas on the improvements he could make still and he even told them about how Kenma helped him out of his emo mode.
"Oh send us the cat video then," Kuroo added.
"Obviously," Bokuto cheered.
"I hate you guys," Kenma murmured.
"You love us!" Bokuto kissed him to prove his point.
"It doesn't mean I have to like that I do."
Kenma took the phone from Bokuto fixing the angle and handing it back, resting his head on Bokuto's shoulder.
"Oh, how are you feeling now, Tetsurou?" Bokuto asked.
"Much better. Akaashi gave me some medication last night and it helped a lot, I can actually breathe tonight."
They stayed like that for an hour. Kenma nearly falling asleep twice at the comforting sounds of his boyfriends' talking and the warm arm wrapped around him.
When it was time to go in they grabbed their things, deciding to get their shower in the evening since it was less busy.
"Don't just stand in the warm water," Bokuto reminded him from the shower stall over.
"Or I could ignore the comment and give you an extra kiss before bed," Kenma responded.
"You raise a high bargain, but you need to shower properly, you'll complain if you don't," Koutarou added.
"I do not do that," Kenma groaned.
"You do, Kitten."
Kenma groaned in response. They were the only two in the showers at the moment and Kenma was tempted to walk over and just have Bokuto wash his hair if it was that much of a concern.
It seemed like Bokuto had the same idea. The water cut off from beside Kenma and before he knew it gentle hands were in his hair.
"This is okay right?" Bokuto asked, pausing the motion as he waited for an answer.
"Yes, Koutarou. It is."
Kenma leaned into his touch as his hair was soon covered in soap and being rinsed out. Kenma much preferred showering when he had someone to join him. He would often not want to shower, hating the thought of the whole process, but then once he was actually in the shower he would often just stay in there until the water ran cold.
Koutarou was happy to help as he washed the younger's back, the smell of Koutarou's body wash in the air.
Like most all the other times Kenma showered with his boyfriends' things usually escalated Kenma turned to face his boyfriend once his hair was finally all rinsed out. He stepped a little closer and kissed him.
A few moments of bliss as they made out in the shower, lost in the other's touch. Kenma brought his hands down his boyfriend's torso and then without warning cupped the absolute cake of an ass his boyfriend had.
"Ahh," Bokuto broke away with a slight gasp. "Kenma, what are you doing?"
Kenma smirked. It was a long day and teasing the man in front of him sounded like a pretty good idea. Kenma lowered himself down and even in the small shower stall, there was just enough room for him to settle down onto his knees.
"Fuck," Bokuto cursed at the sight.
Kenma's hair was soaked, water running down his face as he looked up at Bokuto with a devilish smile. "Already cursing and I haven't even done anything."
Kenma always liked getting his boyfriend flustered. He licked the tip of his boyfriend's dick earning a low moan from the small action. Bokuto covered his mouth as he watched his boyfriend take more into his mouth until his face was flush with his trail of pubic hair.
Water ran down Bokuto's body as Kenma swallowed his cock the best he could as he listened to the curses that left the other's mouth.
"Fuck!"
Kenma bobbed his head over the length, tasting a bit of the precum as he sucked on the tip. When Kenma pulled back saliva messily covering his mouth and watery eyes. "I don't know how you and Kuroo give blowjobs so often. They fucking hurt my jaw."
Kenma stood up, his hands bringing their hips together as he did. He needed more and knew with their height difference it would be a bitch if he topped.
Leaving small kisses on Bokuto's chest, Kenma stood on his tippy toes as he whispered the best thing to get his boyfriend's attention. "Fuck me, Koutarou."
Bokuto's eyes widened. It wasn't usually common for Kenma to bottom; they both knew that much. It was a rarity and Bokuto was surprised he got the pleasure of indulging him in that way.
"It would be much easier for you to top tonight. Unless you're too stunned, I can just—"
Bokuto cut him off. "No, no—I want—yes."
Kenma chuckled at how cute his boyfriend was being. "Fine, just give me a moment to—"
Bokuto leaned down kissing Kenma on the lips before blushing as if it were their first time together like this as Kenma rubbed small circles on his hips. Bokuto felt as if he had no control of how flustered he got when Kenma touched him like that. Even if Kenma just had his dick in his mouth.
"Actually can I um—do that? I know I don't have setter fingers like you and Akaashi but—don't laugh at me."
"Sorry, but that was cute." Kenma really couldn't help but laugh. "You can do what you want just get to it before someone comes in here. You're not particularly quiet."
Bokuto didn't need to be told anymore as he leaned down for another kiss trying his best to distract his boyfriend from any discomfort of him adding in a finger.
"Let me know if you want me to stop," Bokuto murmured as he added another finger stretching him as gently as he could.
Kenma bit his lip. He wasn't used to the feeling all that much, only bottoming a handful of times before. Kuroo and Bokuto were much easier to top most of the time while Akaashi was usually the only one to get Kenma to bottom.
"There, again," Kenma murmured with a slight gasp.
Bokuto curled his fingers as he did before getting more of a reaction out of the blond.
Kenma leaned in, reached up and pulled him into another kiss. Much messier than the last few. Teeth clashing at first, both of them desperate for more contact. When Kenma moaned into the kiss Bokuto just about lost it. He kissed back harder, wanting more of the man in front of him.
Bokuto fucked his fingers into him craving any hum of pleasure Kenma blessed him with.
Kenma was the first to break away, his lips red and his wet hair clinging to his face. Bokuto brushed it behind his ears before kissing him on the forehead much gentler than when they were making out.
"You're such a sap?" Kenma commented.
"And you're cute."
Kenma rolled his eyes at the compliment and turned the water freezing cold for a moment before turning back to the warm water. Bokuto let out a gasp as he moved away from the water, nearly pushing Kenma out of the shower in the process.
"What was that for?!"
Kenma looked him in the eyes not saying anything.
His face neutral. "I think you just want us to get caught," he finally whispered.
Bokuto's face turned red at that. He forgot that they weren't at home in the safety of a locking door. A thin shower curtain was the only thing blocking anyone from seeing them and with the echo of the bathroom, it wouldn't be all that difficult to guess what they were doing.
It wouldn't be the worst thing to happen but at the same time if anyone was going to hear Kenma's moans it was him, Akaashi, and Kuroo.
Bokuto lifted him up, pressing him against the shower wall.
"About time," Kenma muttered. Kenma wrapped his legs around his waist as he felt him push in. Kenma might not have been used to the feeling but he loved watching his boyfriend's expressive face when they were like this.
Bokuto was focused and trying not to just thrust into the blond before he was ready. The feeling was nearly enough to throw him over the edge already. Kenma felt so good and Bokuto wasn't all that used to the feeling of being in him, usually, it was the other way around.
"How the fuck do you and Akaashi make this look so easy? You're so fucking tight, I feel like I have no control."
Kenma smirked at him before moving in closer. "Then don't," he whispered before looking him in the eyes. Fuck was he adorable, Kenma thought. "You can move," Kenma muttered. He leaned forward, his lips brushing over the sensitive part of Bokuto's neck. "Fuck me like you mean it, Koutarou. Then beg to cum."
Bokuto let out a shaky breath, he let out a small moan as Kenma bit down on his shoulder. Bokuto did as he was told and pulled nearly all the way out before pushing back in. Both letting out a moan at the feeling.
Kenma let his nails dig into the aces back as he was pushed against the tile of the shower with each thrust.
"You feel amazing," Koutarou muttered. His breath was heavy and Kenma couldn't help but love the look of fucked out bliss on his boyfriend's face.
Neither one of them did a good job of hiding the sounds that left their mouths. Kenma tried leaving kisses on Koutarou's shoulders but it did little to muffle his curses when his boyfriend was slamming into him, hitting his prostate spot on with nearly every thrust.
Kenma was too close to his own climax to care if he was being too loud. He didn't care anymore if someone walked in on them. He was legally an adult and in a consenting relationship. If he wanted to get railed by one of his boyfriends in the shower because he had a difficult day then he would.
Koutarou kissed up his neck leaving kisses across his skin. He knew Kenma wasn't as much of a fan of marks as he or Kuroo were so he kept them fairly light.
"Please," Koutarou whimpered.
Kenma felt the movements become messy and the look on Koutarou's face made Kenma want to cum then and there. His face was dusted perfectly, almost like how he looked after a difficult practice.
"You can only cum if you keep fucking into me after, until I cum," Kenma ordered.
Koutarou thrusted into him a few more times before coming inside him and fucking past his climax as he tried to steady his breathing and hold his boyfriend up with shaking limbs. Kenma came a few moments later onto their stomachs.
"I can't believe you let me do that," Koutarou muttered. His voice was softer as he rested his head on Kenma's quickly raising chest.
"We had sex before. And we are literally dating, Kou."
Koutarou shook his head. "I know but—fuck."
When he pulled out of Kenma and saw the cum run down his leg he nearly pushed him back against the shower wall again.
"So much for showering," Kenma grumbled.
They showered again this time not getting distracted and were able to finish the task before anyone noticed them. They got dressed and Kenma pressed a soft kiss to his boyfriend's lips.
"Love you," he whispered.
Koutarou smiled and kissed him again. "Love you too, Ken-ken."
They grabbed their things and went to their own rooms.
Lev nearly tripped on his way to the bathroom thankfully not over hearing anything this time as he turned the corner and saw them again and nearly ran into Hinata who was also on his way to the bathroom.
Hinata and Lev both let out a scream at each other.
—
The next night however wasn't as peaceful for Kenma. No matter how many times he tossed and turned he couldn't get to sleep. It felt as if he was hyperventilating all the while being thrown into the ocean.
He always got worse anxiety at night, making him very aware of how loud he was breathing in the silent room.
He rolled back onto his side and closed his eyes.
He just needed to fall asleep and then he wouldn't have to feel like this.
It didn't work.
He was used to dealing with his anxiety alone when he was at home, however, that was rarely a thing anymore. He was always over at one of his boyfriend's houses where they knew how to help him through it.
A place where he felt safe.
At home with them.
He just wanted to go home.
The thoughts of waking up to one of Koutarou's moms' making waffles and calling them down for breakfast, or the times he woke up to Tetsurou tracing his back early in the morning, or even the nights Keiji was first to notice and help with his nightmares.
He missed them.
Kenma didn't notice at first that he was crying or that Yaku had woken up and rushed over to the sound.
Kenma felt as if the room was spinning. He felt like he couldn't talk and his vision looked as if he were looking through the wrong end of a telescope. He needed to get out of there. He needed to get his breathing under control but no matter how hard he tried his body fought him with shaking hands.
Yaku was whispering something to him but he couldn't focus on his words. Instead, wrapping the blanket around him tighter Kenma decided running out the door was the best option.
Yaku watched the blond run and tried to go after him, but when he disappeared to what Yaku figured was a janitor's closet he knew he was practically useless to help Kenma.
That was how Yaku found himself walking down the hall and against his better judgment waking a particular owl man at three in the morning.
Bokuto didn't seem to question why Nekoma's libero was waking him up and pulling him out into the hall. Yaku didn't know what else to do. Kenma clearly needed help or to have someone to comfort him and for whatever reason, Yaku thought maybe the owl dude could help.
"Just follow me." Yaku walked back to the janitor's closet hoping that Kenma didn't run off since then.
"I don't know what you and Kenma have, but he needs someone he trusts. I think he had or is having a panic attack," Yaku said, gesturing towards the door.
Bokuto nodded, not seeming to be fazed or taken back by Yaku waking him.
Bokuto knocked softly on the door. "Kenma, can I come in?"
Yaku wasn't sure if this was going to work but then there were two knocks back onto the door and Bokuto was left in.
He heard muffled crying and wondered what happened for Kenma to be going through what he was. He knew all too well that sometimes anxiety just appeared for no reason and he knew that Kenma had to manage his anxiety a lot while at camp. That didn't keep Yaku from worrying about him though.
"Hey, hey, hey, it's okay. I'm here, I'm here. You're safe," Bokuto reassured him.
"I—miss them, Kou—" Kenma whispered.
Yaku suddenly knew he shouldn't be listening to the conversation. He walked back to his room after that, he didn't want to eavesdrop. As much as he wanted to know what was happening he respected Kenma's privacy enough to leave.
Inside the janitor's closet, the two sat on the floor, Bokuto held on to Kenma and once the worst of it was over he wiped the tears away. Bokuto didn't know how long it had been, usually, it took an hour or so for Kenma to start feeling a little less anxious at least enough to breathe normally again.
"It's so dumb," Kenma whispered slowly.
"No, it isn't."
Kenma wanted to argue. He hated having to rely on someone else. It was selfish and he knew it was a problem his mother loved to remind him of.
He moved so he was sitting completely on his boyfriend's lap and let his head rest on his shoulder. "I'm sorry."
Bokuto wrapped his arms around him and shook his head. "You're not allowed to apologize for things you can't control. I am one of your boyfriends and we are always going to be here for you even if we get on your nerves sometimes."
Kenma chuckled a bit at the last part.
"I know. I just—I forget sometimes," his voice was barely a whisper.
Bokuto started crying then. He just wanted Kenma not to have to deal with the things that he had to at home to make him feel the need to apologize. Bokuto wanted him to know just how valuable and loved he is.
"Are you crying?" Kenma questioned.
Bokuto shook his head. "No," his voice cracked and was laced with emotions giving him away.
Kenma laughed.
It was nearly silent but when Bokuto saw the smile on his face he knew he did something right.
"You're laughing that I'm crying?" Bokuto asked.
Kenma nodded. "You get so emotionally invested."
It only confused Bokuto but before he could question it, Kenma was kissing him and all thoughts left his brain.
The kiss was short but also a silent gesture to let Bokuto know that he was feeling much better.
"Give me your hoodie," Kenma deadpanned.
"Love you too, Ken-ken."
Bokuto pulled the hoodie off as Kenma took in the view of his boyfriend's torso as the t-shirt underneath pulled up slightly.
Kenma pulled the hoodie over himself and even if it looked as if he were to disappear into the fabric at any moment he put the hood up.
"Love you, Kou."
—
It was the last day of training and Kenma was in a much better mood that morning.
Since his panic attack, Kenma could see the questioning look Yaku kept giving him. Kenma knew he was probably just worried, but it only made Kenma keep his distance even more. Plus Kenma didn't want to out anyone in the relationship. They had talked about it a few times before. When it came down to it Kenma didn't like telling people about his personal life.
He knew far more than he wanted to about his team and the last thing he wanted was to seem vulnerable in a way. It was uncomfortable.
He pushed the thoughts away the best he could as they walked outside for a while. It would be at least a half-hour until his team's turn in the gym so they all grabbed snacks and sat out in the shade.
Bokuto joined him and handed over the Switch that Kenma was forced to leave behind that morning because he was running late.
Without thinking, Kenma kissed him on the cheek as he turned his attention onto the game.
"Thanks, Kou."
Bokuto nodded and watched Kenma play his game until something got his attention.
Kenma finished the level in time to watch Bokuto jump up and run towards—Kenma got up and followed. Akaashi and Kuroo were walking towards them and for a moment Kenma almost didn't believe it.
"You don't look like shit," Kenma muttered to Kuroo.
"Wow, love you even more," he chuckled.
Bokuto hugged them both happily. "What are you guys doing here?!"
"We thought it would be nice to pick you two up and then Kuroo felt better so we decided to watch a game or two so we drove up early," Akaashi answered.
Bokuto cheered before going into all the games he played so far with Kuroo who was talking just as animatedly. Kenma turned to Akaashi and finally greeted him with a hug. Then Kenma saw Lev out of the corner of his eye. He hated the staring so he looked up slightly at his boyfriend and kissed him.
It was simple and as much as he wanted to kiss Akaashi for real he refrained since neither of them were a fan of PDA. When Kenma pulled back Lev was nowhere in sight.
Even with all the teams scattered around Lev still panicked that Kenma knew he knew.
"Nekoma is up next," Kenma comments.
They all headed to the gym as Kenma got ready for practice. Bokuto and Akaashi took their seats to watch and Kuroo started a conversation with Nekomata.
Kenma rolled his eyes at the nerd.
—
Kuroo wasn't sure what he missed while he was gone but he swore every time his teammates thought he wasn't listening they would start whispering.
Low enough that Kuroo could only make out a few words but loud enough to know that whatever it was it involved Kenma apparently.
Between games, Kuroo headed to the bathroom, and when he heard the familiar voice of his teammates he paused. He didn't try to hide his eavesdropping, but they didn't notice him either.
"I know they were kissing," Lev said dramatically. "Kenma made out with Bokuto."
"That might have happened but it's not our business," Yaku chimed in.
"But Kuroo was right there, how can I not tell him. I'm not a good liar," Lev said defensively.
Kuroo laughed, giving away his hiding spot. "Oh don't mind me." He muttered walking past them but not before stopping again, he could have some fun with this.
"Don't worry Bo is a good kisser—though Akaashi can give him a run for his money," Kuroo added.
It was then it clicked for Yaku.
The same thing couldn't be said about Lev, who stood there just as confused as he was before.
"They are all dating," Yaku muttered, more to himself than to anyone else.
Kuroo nodded before telling them it wasn't a secret but Kenma and Akaashi didn't really like their personal lives out in the open.
"Then why did Kenma look at me like he was going to stab me in my sleep?" Lev asked.
Kuroo shrugged. "I don't think it's personal."
"How is killing me not personal?!"
Kenma walked in and rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Lev."
Lev hid behind Yaku as he let out an indignant screech.
It was definitely personal.
