Daisy tucked a blonde strand of hair behind her ear, taking a deep breath she forced open the doors of the greenhouse. After many years of begging and pleading, her father had finally allowed her to attend school at the Greenhouse. She made her way up the stairs, admiring the view as she wandered down the halls. Kids walked by her in big groups laughing and shoving each other playfully. With hesitant steps, she reached the door of the group she was part of. A raven seemed to be peering down at her from on the door. She took a hesitant step forward and was about to knock on the door. When it suddenly opened.

Startled, she let out a tiny shriek and fell back. The boy who had opened the door, tilted his head to the side and gave her a good natured grin. He walked over to where she had fallen and offered his hand. "Sorry didn't know you got scared from opening up a door." He said, teasing her playfully. When she didn't reply. He continued on. "Hi. I'm Max, you must be Daisy the new student." She nodded, flushed pink from embarrassment and took his offered hand, refusing to make eye contact.

"Thank you for the help!" She offered. Unsure what else to say to him. Max gave her a grin. "Anytime. Oh you should probably come meet the others." He told her, mentally facepalming himself for forgetting to mention that earlier. Daisy giggled. "Lead on then." She said playfully. Grabbing his hand and pushing him towards the door. Max rolled his eyes and laughed. "Oh god, don't tell me you're going to be the bossy one of the friend group." He teased, smiling as she flushed pink. Daisy smacked him playfully. "I'm not bossy, I was just leading you to the doorway, so we're not stuck out here forever." She replied.

Max made a noise in his throat, before turning and opening the door. "Ladies first." He replied, shooting her another good natured grin. Daisy rolled her eyes, but offered a small smile. "Why thank you young man, you're so polite." She managed to say. In a terrible British accent. Max smiled as he took her arm, steering her over to a table, scattered with textbooks where two students conversed. They both looked up and smiled as Daisy approached. "Guys this is Daisy, Daisy this is Leo." Max said pointing at a young man around the age of eighteen, with vivid blue eyes. "And this is Haylee." He said, pointing at the girl with curly brown hair.

"That's Captain Leo to you Max." Leo said, raising an eyebrow at Max.

Max rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at Leo. "Just cause you're the captain of the team, doesn't mean you get to have a big ego about it." He replied, smiling slightly.

The two of them bantered playfully back and forth. Daisy smiled and slid into the empty chair next to Haylee. "Are they always like this?" She asked. Haylee nodded and rolled her eyes. "Yeah. I feel like they have nothing better to do then argue sometimes." The two girls laughed, Haylee stopping first. "What's wrong?" Daisy asked, noting the peculiar look on Haylee's face. Haylee glanced around the room, then leaned in closer to Daisy. "I'm surprised you haven't heard. Lately at the school, kids have been going missing and returning the next day like a new person. Strange things are going on here and I want to know why. See that girl over there." She said, pointing to a girl with two space buns in her hair. "Well she went missing just last week, she came back the next day but it was like there was a spell on her. She didn't remember anything, she hasn't been able to remember a lot of stuff and she's been acting kind of strange, like she's being controlled by someone else ..." The two girls stopped looking at her, as the girl glanced in their direction. Haylee sighed and shook her head. " I wish I could learn what's going on."

Daisy suddenly gave her a secretive smile. "Maybe we can find out what's going on, sit with me at supper and I will tell you my whole plan." She said standing up and walking away, going to put her stuff away in her room.
