I took some inspiration from the finale for this one. Of course, Eddie's not pregnant so just go with it. Hope you enjoy!

Jamie got back into the car and threw a freshly wrapped pastrami sub at his older brother who was sitting in the passenger's seat.

"Here!" he said. "No more stops until we cross the New Hampshire state line."

Danny rolled his eyes, "Okay Dad."

Jamie just shook his head and turned on the car, pulling back out onto the Interstate.

"You would think that I'm traveling with Eddie because of all the stops we've had for food," Jamie said. "But she actually has an excuse because she's pregnant."

"How's she doing by the way?" Danny responded, ignoring Jamie's jab. "She's like four months along right?"

"She just hit six months two days ago," Jamie corrected.

"Damn," Danny said. "It's been that long already?"

Jamie nodded, "Yeah, it's flying by."

Danny looked around the Chevelle, "So, who's going to give up their car? I don't think a clunky car seat will fit in here or Eddie's Porsche."

"The Chevelle is staying," Jamie asserted. "She was the first to offer up her car. We're going to trade it in soon."

"I can't wait for you to experience parent life, kid," Danny said, patting his brother's shoulder. "The sleepless nights, the endless tantrums, and stepping on Legos during the middle of the night because the kids don't know to pick them up."

Jamie let out a laugh, "Oh really?"

Danny nodded, "And having to sneak out to the car to get some alone time with your wife because there's no privacy in the house."

"I think we got that covered," Jamie mumbled to himself.

"What?" Danny said.

"I said that I think Eddie and I got that covered," Jamie replied a little bit louder.

Danny furrowed his brow, "What do you mean?"

"Where do you think this baby was conceived, Danny?"

It took a minute but the realization finally hit him when Jamie tipped his head toward the back seat.

"Here?!" Danny exclaimed, eyes widening. "You guys made that kid in here?!"

Jamie nodded.

Danny wrapped up his sub and put it away, "I just lost my appetite."

Jamie chuckled, "How do you think she got pregnant, Danny? Do you think we just stared at each other until it happened?"

"No, obviously not!" he answered.

"Weren't you just saying that you and Linda would sneak into the car to get some alone time?" Jamie responded matter-of-factly.

"Well, yeah. But that's different."

"It's really not," Jamie said.

"Whatever," Danny replied.

There was a few minutes of comfortable silence between them before Danny spoke up again.

"Can I give you some advice?"

"Sure," Jamie responded.

"Don't let this job take you over like I let it do to me," Danny said. "I missed a lot with my boys because I always had to solve that one case. At the end of the day, it's just a job. It's not that important. When the dust settles, all that's going to be left is Eddie and the baby. They're the most important now. The years go by fast. Don't miss them, kid."

Jamie immediately nodded, "I know."

"I'm really happy for you," Danny said seriously, looking over at his little brother with a small smile. "I know you're going to be a pretty great dad."

"Thanks Dan. I really appreciate that."

Danny nodded and grabbed his coat from the backseat, "Remind me to burn this when we get back."

Jamie gave a small laugh as they continued with their drive.
